1721  Economy / Economics / Re: The GameStop drama and what does it mean for Bitcoin on: February 09, 2021, 08:17:37 PM
Elon is an eccentric billionaire, very very eccentric.

The question is, which billionaire isn't eccentric today? I can't think of many. His eccentric nature has also brought him the success he has.

But what I don't like is that he sparked the whole short action. He had to know that a lot of people are taking part who have no idea at all and are now faced with huge mountains of debt. I doubt that the stocks of the broke companies will recover again so that they can make up at least some of their losses. It's sad actually.
1722  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: February 09, 2021, 08:08:03 PM
Usually at the crisis many business are closed that's make people afraid to invest their money in bitcoin but this time is different. Now people spend time at home more, online shopping and money transfer become more popular. Bitcoin is the best for this, so it seems that it is chance for bitcoin. Many investors are pay attention in cryptocurrency related project now.

I partially agree with you. Of course, many people are currently sitting at home and this also saves a lot of money that they would normally spend on trips, parties or other things. So it may well be that more people will have time to invest in Bitcoin. But the main factor behind the huge price hike is still money printing. There is clear evidence for this. Should the Democrats' stimulus package be approved, Bitcoin will continue to rise. The $ 1.2-1.9 trillion has to be invested somewhere.
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Real fact behind crypto ban in Nigeria on: February 08, 2021, 05:53:34 PM
Finally CBN gives the main reason why they put ban on crypto in Nigeria, the fact is there are many bad eggs among the good eggs, online romance scammers are now using bitcoin as their benefactor to cashing out money easily with no traces, read news here

https://www.arise.tv/how-fbi-alerted-nigerias-central-bank-to-scammers-using-cryptocurrencies-to-defraud-the-west/

The question is are white people so stupid that they will keep sending money to people they've never meet in real life? Honestly all this defrauding through romance and other ways have been going on since past years now, I expected all this to have come to an halt, the problem isn't even the scammers but people who allowed themselves to be used

Interesting! Normally, the Nigerian government should be happy when foreign currency comes into the country, which Bitcoin more or less is, because Bitcoins can be exchanged for hard currencies like the US dollar or the euro. Therefore, I can only explain that the move is being considered because there is great pressure from other countries.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 08, 2021, 05:50:03 PM
all the teams at the top also won today. and dortmund lost and is now only in 6th place. frankfurt has become very strong this year.
and jovic was only a substitute. nevertheless, frankfurt played very well again today and deserved to win.
i'm really curious to see what place frankfurt will be in at the end of the season.
Frankfurt but don't forget also Wolfsburg have a decent season until now. Who can think about them being in front of Leverkusen, M'Gladbach but especially Dortmund at this stage!

Frankfurt could be the surprise team of the season. They have won six of their last seven games and are on a good run. If they can keep up the run, they can qualify for the Champions League, which would really be a big surprise. Should Schalke get relegated, which it looks like they will at the moment, then an EL or CL spot will be permanently vacant anyway, which Schalke has usually always clinched. Frankfurt could therefore be one of the teams that benefit.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 08, 2021, 05:46:19 PM
1 game today, Leeds Palace. I like tough little Leeds as usual.

Here is the yesterday action and new tables.

-snip-

The wheat is slowly separating from the chaff. ManCity has one game less. If they win the catch-up game, it will be very difficult for the competitors. I don't think they can catch them then, especially after the clear win against Liverpool. ManUnited and Leichester are currently not in the class to catch up with ManCity. I think places 3-6 will be a lot more exciting. All teams are very close together.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2020/21 Season on: February 06, 2021, 05:12:53 PM
Doing some live betting on the match Fenerbahce vs Galatasaray. 2nd half just began and the scoreline is 0-0. Current odds for win Fenerbahce @3.39 while for Galatasaray @2.78. Not sure why there is so much difference. I just set a small amount on win Fenerbahce. Good risk/profit ratio in my opinion.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 06, 2021, 05:08:57 PM
Glad to read and see that Bayern Munich has won there game yesterday , but i was a little bit shocked that they only won with 1 goal.

I watched the match on TV yesterday. Bayern was extremely lucky to win at all. Hertha had a 100% chance in the final minutes. Before that, they had several good chances. I think Bayern did not invest their whole energy and the players were more about the game against Al Ahly in the FIFA Club World Champions Cup.
1728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When sell holding alt coin in profit? on: February 06, 2021, 05:00:14 PM
You should have a goal when to sell a coin you hold. Holding for too long will might gives you not enough result or not enough profit. It also depends on your management risks, as for me when I’m already in profit I sell to take the opportunity of the highest peak of the price. So selling at a peak price and buying when in the dip since in crypto there is always the opportunity to earn.

Having a goal and sticking to it when the time comes are two different things. When a goal is reached, greed usually comes along and you think it could go on like this. It can, of course, but at some point prices go back and mostly pretty much, so that one would have wished to have stuck to the goal. You need discipline and you have to suppress greed. Only then does setting a goal make sense.
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another crypto ban is here on: February 06, 2021, 11:27:46 AM
Here we go again, another crypto ban is imminent, this time in Nigeria, what are the government thinking? This is a country that's suffering from economy collapse since many years now and youths are jobless, finally crypto came to the rescue and all government can do is ban?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/central-bank-of-nigeria-bans-banks-from-servicing-crypto-exchanges/amp

Crypto is a threat to those in power as monetary policy gives them power over politics and people. Therefore, they cannot approve of the fact that the people they govern use a currency outside of their control. Therefore, such bans will continue to increase, especially in second and third world countries, the more crypto currencies gain influence.
1730  Economy / Economics / Re: Only 2% of addresses hold 1 Bitcoin or more — Is this true? on: February 06, 2021, 10:58:48 AM
Well, this is not surprising. An address only appears in the blockchain once it has been used. That is, once a transaction has taken place. Today, almost every modern wallet software uses an address only once and transfers the remaining balance to a completely new created address during a transaction, so that the old address no longer has any balance.
This old address is also no longer used, so that it is included in the statistics as an address without balance. As a result, countless new used addresses without balance are added every day. As a result, the number of addresses without credit will continue to increase in the future and the percentage will decrease accordingly.
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 06, 2021, 10:51:31 AM
Sacrificing a leg for the UCL this season makes sense. Thus the players are not too tired due to the busy schedule. As we know, COVID-19 is spreading so fast. This is indeed the only thing that UEFA have to enforce. When the 2nd leg is eliminated, this means reducing activities that can help players stay fit and avoid COVID-19.

If this continues, it would make sense for this year to invite the last eight or four teams to a location from the quarter or semi-finals and play the matches in a small tournament with just one game (no return leg). There is now news that there is a new virus mutation in Tyrol (Austria) that is said to be even more infectious than the one in England. If so, then the mode intended for the tournament will come as described above. The UEFA European Championship will also be canceled.
1732  Local / Projektentwicklung / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 Das erste lizenzierte Bitcoin Casino 🏆 on: February 06, 2021, 10:42:33 AM
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 05, 2021, 11:08:09 AM
The BBC has published the official UEFA position on the possibility of postponing the match between Liverpool and Leipzig.
-snip-

If the match Leipzig against Liverpool is postponed, then the game Gladbach against ManCity should actually also be postponed, as there is the same constellation here. As the German media reported this morning, Gladbach is already looking for an alternative venue in Denmark.
1734  Economy / Economics / Re: The billionaires who own bitcoins on: February 05, 2021, 11:02:54 AM
He said that he has only 0.25 bitcoin

Nice collection!

Do you have a prove or a source where Elon Musk stated that he owns BTC0.25. So far I always thought he didn't own Bitcoin and only tweeted or wrote about it. He doesn't own Doge either, and yet he pushes prices massively.

Thanks for your support, tyz,
Yes, here is the proof:

However, I don't trust what he said here. I believe he owns much more than this

Thanks, for some reason Google did not give me that information Cheesy Okay, interesting. In 2019 he said he does have 0.25 BTC and no other crypto holdings. In 2020 he stated that he still owns only 0.25 BTC, but that doesn't have to mean that he doesn't own other cryptos in the meanwhile. Especially since May 2020 was the time when Bitcoin really started to take off. Probably he owns more BTC and other crypto by now.

I go for Chelsea tonight. Since Tuchel has been a coach, you can feel better motivation and more atmosphere in the team. The odds are also very good at @ 2.03 for a Chelsea win.

@Update: Chelsea leads 1-0. Werner was fouled in the penalty area and Jorginho converted.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 04, 2021, 08:27:16 PM
I did not think Leverkusen could lose this match. It seems that Leverkusen lost the match only because of bad luck. In this match, Leverkusen has made a total of 26 shots, while Essen has made only 8. Leverkusen made 11 on-target shots. On the other hand, Essen did only 3.

Not sure if you watched the match, but Essen was the better team. Of course they had luck in the end phase of the match, but remember, there was playing a fourth league team against a Champions League participant. Leverkusen simply underestimated the opponent and thus, with a little luck, weak opponents can win such matches.
1738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can play tricks on your mind on: February 04, 2021, 07:56:26 PM
Does anyone else play these scenarios out in their head?

No, because it is very unlikely that Bitcoin will crash to zero, or even crash significantly so that it isn't worth much anymore. The only scenario would be if there would be a glaring security flaw in the Bitcoin protocol. And after Bitcoin has been around for over 12 years now, this flaw would have been found long ago if it would exist.
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 03, 2021, 03:29:49 PM
Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman hopes that Messi stays at the team but he doesn't feel confident about it. And he is right to feel like it. Because Messi really doesn't seem that he will be extending his contract. The thing I am curious about the most is what team he will choose to go. Like I said before, I want to see him at Manchester City the most. But he could prefer going to PSG because of Neymar being there.

https://theathletic.com/2351692/2021/02/02/ronald-koeman-exclusive-will-messi-stay-im-hopeful-but-not-confident/

I think chances are little that Messi stays with Barcelona. There are rumors that he and his family are already learning French, and his leaving would bring Barcelona more financial scope. Barcelona has 1,2 billion euros debt and have to pay 226 million euros in debt by July 2021. They have no choice but to let Messi go or they risk bankruptcy.
1740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters are getting axed harder on: February 03, 2021, 03:23:31 PM
There is nothing we can do to stop bounty scams, broken promises, evading of payments etc, you just have to get used to all this if you still want to keep joining bounties, to lessen all this bad results I'm now more careful around new bounty projects, I always make sure they are good people, I take PM to the team themselves and see through them from how they reply

Well that is true, but you can limit the risk to run into a scam. There are often so many indicators that a new projects is a scam. I always wonder why many bounty hunters participating in campaigns where it is known that most parts of whitepapers is plagarism or where it was researched that the "team members" are nothing else than sockpuppets. There are also other hints but most do not seem to care about. Such scams would not have a chance if people would not be so greedy and headless.
