1541  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Apkpure official app breached with trojan on: April 11, 2021, 10:16:23 AM
People often use third party apps to download android apps in absence of play store, there are reasons of course, I have been guilty of doing same.

Yesterday, the popular third party android app hosting site apkpure's android app was infected with trojan.

Everyone who downloaded their official app or had auto updates turned on was fucked.

Of course, neither is Google play 100% safe but reduces the likelihood of infected apps.

Kaspersky print: https://www.kaspersky.com/blog/infected-apkpure/39273/amp/

Sorry, but why download apps from a third party to your smartphone, where basically all private information about you is stored when you can get the app from the official Play Store at the same time, where before uploading a security check is done by Google? That is absolutely stupid! It's good that you warn here, but downloading apps from apkpure and other similar sites is only recommended for testers, developers and security engineers, never for "normal" users.
1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting Miners Total Stopped selling Bitcoin on: April 11, 2021, 10:08:45 AM

Miners TOTAL stoped selling bitcoin: https://ibb.co/z5DQnpJ

Same with whales they moving coins away from trading platforms, and buying

I wonder why? Wink

The screenshot you show says little. Not sure if you can believe this info so. If this is the case, then the Bitcoin price would have to increase significantly, as there would be much less Bitcoins available on the free market or demand has collapsed at the same time.
1543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on how to place sports bets on: April 11, 2021, 10:05:42 AM
All the points you mention are valid and actually known. But it is again a nice summary. One point I would add, which I think is one of the most important points in gambling, is money and balance management. With intelligent money and balance management you can survive even very bad periods in gambling.
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 11, 2021, 09:58:01 AM
Leipzig would now be the leader of the Bundesliga if he had taken advantage of his earlier opportunities. He lost to Bayern Munich at home. The champion in the Bundesliga is not clear, but with the advantage of points, Bayern Munich is the biggest candidate. Unfortunately, Schalke04 was the first team to fall. Schalke will be in Bundesliga 2 next year, although he has a chance to win mathematically. I am very sorry that the Schalke of the years has fallen into this situation.

I recently read that schalke already managed to prolong their deal with their main sponsor gazprom even though the russian company could have opted out because schalke goes down to the second league. This is big and good news for schalke as it automatically gives them the biggest budget of all clubs in the Bundesliga 2 including hamburg. I just hope they will use that money reasonable and get rid of overpaid players that don't perform. Schalke has a great youth academy that brought up players like özil, sane, draxler, neuer and many more. They should focus on this strength and play with a young and motivated squad next year.

It is really good news for Schalke then. With having the biggest budget among all, I guess they will make use of it nicely. They really need fresh bloods at the team. Their youth academy is really great and I assume there could be still some talented players there.

Gazprom prematurely extended the contract until 2025, although Gazprom would have had the chance to exit due to a possible relegation. But, of course, the paid money will drop significantly. If Gazprom had dropped out, a new sponsor would have been found quickly, as Schalke still have great reputation. It will still be very challenging for Schalke. First, they have enormous debts that are even more difficult to settle in the second division, and secondly, it is not so easy in the 2nd Bundesliga, see Hamburg.
1545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance raised withdrawal fees again? on: April 09, 2021, 06:01:04 PM
The withdrawal fees were changed from 0 to 0.2 a month ago for the withdrawal of USDT as TRC20. I went with withdrawing some USDT from binance to Kucoin to buy some velo but the withdrawal fees taken were $1. It's absurd how much binance is charging for withdrawal when the fees from blockchain are most probably free for binance as they are super representative on tron blockchain.
I use binance for it's cheaper transaction fees but these these unnecessary withdrawal fees are going to be a push factor as newer exchanges too are coming with aggressive promotions.
Your finding is right. Binance increase their withdrawal fee for USDT on all chains, not only increase on TRC-20 chain.

The USDT withdrawal fee is:
- BEP2: $1
- BSC: $0.8
- ERC20: $20
- TRC20: $1
- OMNI layer: disabled.

When fee on TRC20 is $0.2, fee on BSC is $0.1
Binance Adjusts Withdrawal Fees for BUSD and USDT on Selected Networks. I can not find their news for the newest adjustment on withdrawal fee.  Huh

That's the strategy. Binance wants to move as most transactions as possible to their own chain. So they increase the fees for all other chains to reach this goal. One cannot blame Binance for this. They are only pursuing their own business interests. Everyone is free to use a different exchange.
1546  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to trigger central bank collapse on: April 09, 2021, 05:57:56 PM
Otherwise. 2008 banking collapse "triggered" Bitcoin invention. If the financial crisis hadn't happened, Satoshi would have never invented Bitcoin.

To understand how far away Bitcoin is from triggering anything: Gold has a market cap of around $10 trillion. Bitcoin has just one tenth of that. That means one Bitcoin would have to rise to around $500k to even begin to reach the value of all gold. And even then, it would have to rise much much further to even come close to all fiat money. Because only then would it be able to harm the monetary system.
1547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 08, 2021, 06:11:26 PM
Bayern Monaco deserved to not only draw the game but to win the game.
PSG got destroyed in ball possession, shoots, and missed goal.

It will be a fun second leg next week.

Agree with you. Bayern was the better team and should not have lost it. PSG did not play dominantly. Bayern can therefore still advance even if they conceded three goals at home, which is a big burden for the second leg. But if they play like they did yesterday, without making the big mistakes in defense, they could still make it to the semifinals.
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price fall to Zero? Possible or not? on: April 08, 2021, 06:06:59 PM
What a survey Grin Why would someone sell only at 5k? The current price is >50k. Makes absolutely no sense. The question would rather be, do you sell when Bitcoin falls below 50k and do you buy when it reaches 5k.
That's how I did it in 2017. Sold most of my BTC at 12k (a bit too early in hindsight, but you never know how far it will go up) and in the years after, then gradually bought back in at 3, 4 and 6k. Today, that's a nice profit.
1549  Economy / Economics / Re: How the rich get richer and why it works on: April 08, 2021, 06:02:11 PM
That's nothing but pure oppression, I wonder what thoughts come into big billionaires' minds when they sleep. They have so much money that their grandchildren or great great grandchildren won't even have to work for life, but still they try to prevent to give away some of it to the world in form of taxes in hope of being richer. But, they can't expand their stomach can they? To eat additional food after being more rich? Then after having so much money why so much tactics to avoid taxes? I think it's because the quite natural human greed Tongue
The reason that I can think of about why these billionaires are doing what they are doing and not giving back to society is because they are greedy, I think that it is the only reason, because if they weren't greedy, they would have already created changes that a lot of people are enjoying.

This is a one-sided view. Many billionaires are only billionaires because their company shareholdings are worth so much. It's not like they have billions of dollars lying around in their bank account and are hoarding it and don't want to spend it. On the contrary, the money is invested productively and ensures that the economy stays up and that jobs are created. A good example is Elon Musk. He is the richest man in the world, but only because his share in Tesla is very high and at the current valuation it is worth extremely much. If Tesla stock were to drop to $0 tomorrow, Elon Musk would be a poor man.
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT are making more sense on: April 08, 2021, 05:57:38 PM
Note this is not a financial advice

NFT will be far more adopted than DeFi and yes I'm positive that it will be more successful than DeFi with the ways things are going right now, I'm no more hearing hypes about DeFi projects now and attentions have been shifted to NFT, do you think NFT are the real deal because the market cap of NFT will visibly surpass DeFi I believe, what do you have to say about this? Am I wrong or right in any way?

You can not compare NFT and DeFi because NFT is basically a use case of decentralized finance (DeFi). Decentralized Finance encompasses a wide range of applications. NFT are one of them. So you are comparing apples and oranges.
1551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP is Back on: April 07, 2021, 04:57:14 PM
There is 2 hypothesis about this xrp bull run :
1. It is just bull trap created by whale and give them a chance to cash out.
2. There is something what we dont know about sec issue, maybe XRP will win the court againts sec ?

I know USA is not the only country that xrp can be used, but if it is banned there it will cause the armmagedon for coin.

Fundamentally, nothing has changed. XRP is only rising because there are rumors about a relisting on Coinbase. The downside risks are still greater than the opportunities for gains. XRP is still not a long-term trade for me.
1552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 07, 2021, 04:52:41 PM
Bayern Munich 1.90 and PSG 3.60 at the time of writing, it is not only Lewandowski who is injured and at least there are other players who are similar at this opportunity not to play. Bayern Munich are still favorites to win and I'm not sure, because it looks like the match will end in a draw or even PSG take this chance to win.

The odds are very clear, although I see the game more balanced than the odds represent. Bayern has to do without Lewandowski, but PSG also has two strong absences due to Corona infections: Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Verratti. But I think the loss of Lewandowski is more important for Bayern than Florenzi and Verratti for PSG.
1553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 06, 2021, 07:04:21 PM
Already match day.

PREDICTION TIME

Manchester City - Borussia Dortmund 3-0
Real Madrid - Liverpool 1-1

I'd agree with your predictions, but I just feel that Liverpool vs Real Madrid will likely provide a winner from either side, and I'll give Liverpool the edge due to the number of absentees for Real Madrid.

I do not see the ManCity vs Dortmund match so clear. I think it will closer than most think, I even thought to go for double chance Dortmund because the odds are pretty good but after thinking about it a little I refrained from doing any bet on this match. Instead I went for double chance Liverpool  Cheesy
1554  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you can't be rich by owning crypto on: April 06, 2021, 12:58:04 PM
That is a very interesting argument, the only problem is that it has been the same argument used when bitcoin was at 1$, 10$, 100$, 1000$, 10000$.... do you follow me?

I had the same thought when I read the OP  Cheesy The arguments in the OP have been going on for as long as Bitcoin has been around. I think the OP is making the mistake of trying something new like Bitcoin with old academic economic thinking. These are no longer valid in my opinion, see Peter Schiff who is a perfect example.
1555  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Social-Tokens: Der nächste große Hype? on: April 06, 2021, 12:50:30 PM

1556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 06, 2021, 12:43:47 PM
I do not think it will end in a draw. I think Man City will solve the job tonight already by winning easily.

I wouldn't be sure about that. Dortmund is showing two faces this season. In some games they play outstandingly, so that you could think they are contenders for the CL win, and in other games they show a performance that is piss-poor (sorry for the word) and not really suitable for the first league. It depends a lot on what face they will show against ManCity.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EXCLUSIVE-Visa moves to allow payment settlements using cryptocurrency on: April 04, 2021, 01:36:55 PM
Visa said it has partnered with digital asset bank Anchorage and completed the first transaction this month — with Crypto.com sending USDC to Visa’s Ethereum address at Anchorage.

As long as they only accept USDC I believe it will have little impact on other crypto coins. Still, it's a big step forward. Such news would have been unthinkable two or three years ago. Maybe in two or three years they will already accept Bitcoin and other coins.
1558  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Prices Are Soaring Faster Than Inflation and Incomes on: April 04, 2021, 01:20:21 PM
I believe that all this is due to fiat inflation.

It is. Or by the climate crisis, which is already leading to severe crop losses in some regions of the world and thus to higher prices. But if you take away the last reason, only one reason remains: excessive money printing. Because normally the prices should fall now, because more "cheap" labor is available and therefore the prices should fall, similar to the financial crisis.
1559  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Social-Tokens: Der nächste große Hype? on: April 04, 2021, 01:14:10 PM
