1921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 05, 2020, 03:34:10 PM
The odds payout for Borussia Dortmund to win the match in full time against Eintracht Frankfurt today is @1.95, but after watching Borussia Dortmund suffering a loss to FC Koln, I guess it might not be a good idea to stake a bet on Borussia Dortmund today despite the attractive odds offered, Eintracht Frankfurt are not a weak team and I think Borussia Dortmund will surely struggle to beat Eintracht Frankfurt today.

They caught Dortmund defense off-guard. Things are much harder now for Borussia Dortmund.

Frankfurt is the better team but the half-time stats speak for Dortmund. Ball possession is 55% to 45% for Dortmund, won duels is 53% to 47% for Dortmund, free kicks are 8 to 3 for Dortmund, Dortmund also has better passing stats. The only statistic in which Frankfurt is better is the mileage of the entire team (61 km vs 58 km).
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I want to play poker online on: December 05, 2020, 03:26:21 PM
I want to play poker with worthy opponents. I've tried a lot of venues, I don't know where to get good ones and what people would have with money. Or it's not interesting to play with the poor. Maybe you know where to play?

Perhaps you should first mention which venues you have already tried. There are a lot of good poker sites available (with crypto support and not). Also you are the first poker player I know who is complaining about poor players. I only know skilled players (so-called sharks) which are happy if they get into a lake with many fishes Smiley

Danke, hab Merits soweit verteilt.

1924  Other / Meta / Notification when a thread with your post is deleted? on: December 05, 2020, 03:20:19 PM
If your post is directly deleted, you receive a notification via PM. But does it behave the same if an entire thread (not created by you) is deleted where you wrote a post which is deleted along with the thread? I am wondering this as I wrote a post on a thread yesterday and the thread is no longer available today but I did not receive a notification about the deleted post.
1925  Economy / Economics / Re: Challenges to Fintech Adoption on: December 04, 2020, 10:32:17 AM
First of all, you should quote the entire text because it has been taken one by one from https://tagionteam.medium.com/challenges-to-fintech-adoption-64f023b6cd8
Mods could interpret it as plagiarism.

Secondly, as written already, it is a text to promote your protocol. There is actually nothing new. The goals you list, are the same of many other platforms/protocols. You should better move the thread to "Altcoin Discussion" or make the topic more general.

Despite the next wave of fintech washing through the banking industry, not all is easy sailing. McKinsey, in its Next-gen Technology transformation in Financial Services, looked at the issues that banks face as they engage in a technological makeover.  The report showed that while introducing APIs and other technologies smoothed business processes, poor data collection and security hygiene hampered the realization of fintech’s possibilities. A lack of connection and outright misunderstanding on the part of non-technical staff at every level plays a role as well.

Fintech is driving the evolution of the banking industry, and anyone old enough to remember a world without ATMs and bankomats — as well as when the ubiquitous machines were a vital element of a cash-oriented banking system — knows that like it or not, fintech’s here. The banks that embrace the technology will thrive and those that don’t… well, don’t fret — here at Tagion we’re growing, and we’ll be hiring.

1926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best Free and VIP (paid) predictions by Mica Service⚽️🎾🏀 on: December 04, 2020, 10:27:37 AM
I welcome such free plans for predictions. I wonder if there are any longer-term statistics about the accuracy of your predictions? In the short term, many predictions usually look good. But some time ago I took the trouble to evaluate the free predictions of the Telegram channel "The Boss of Betting" and in the long term it only came to an accuracy of 48% (only relates to the free plan, I did not have the paid plan). To be profitable it has to be at least 50%+.
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Both centralized exchanges and dex arent perfect on: December 04, 2020, 10:23:06 AM
Centralized exchanges can easily expose users data but they have the best platform for traders, highest volumes etc and on the other hand Decentralized exchanges have nothing to do with users data, pretty more safer than centralized exchanges but lacks good interface and also has high trading fee and of course lacks good volume, is there any where else to run to ?

I partly agree with you. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. However your mentioned disadvantages of decentralized exchanges are mostly because they are not used that often. If more user would use decentralized exchanges volume will increase of course and spreads will narrow down. The high trading fees are only an issue of some platforms which are mostly based on Ethereum, Waves-based decentralized exchanges for example do have relatively low fees. Also the lack of good interface does not hold for all decentralized exchanges.

1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: December 04, 2020, 10:01:13 AM

Okay, now launch of the new token is confirmed. But what is about the snapshot? Any news on this? E.g. whether the period is narrowed down further? The price rises continuously, then the snapshot can no longer be far away  Cheesy
Maybe it will be useful for you   https://symbolcountdown.com/
Symbol Launch Countdown
Get 1 Symbol (XYM) for each XEM you have before January 14!
Opt-in now your XEM and get free XYM!

Thanks, but this is the launch date not the snapshot date or snapshot time period.

Okay, if Binance suspends withdrawals and deposits starting on 14th January, everyone who has not send the tokens to the exchange before will not be able anymore to sell. Strange action by Binance, as it was said that NEM should still exist next to Symbol project.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 04, 2020, 09:52:25 AM
I bet Real Madrid will get 3 points in the last match!

It will definitely be an exciting game. Mönchengladbach feels cheated of one point against Inter Milan (to be honest, Inter Milan's winning goal was irregular) and Real Madrid have shown very poor performances both in the league and in the CL. I think it will be more like a draw and Mönchengladbach and Inter Milan reach the next round, while Real have to go to the Euro League.

1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: December 03, 2020, 01:56:26 PM
I can just make an interesting observation in my living environment again. Very few people were interested in Bitcoin, until 2017 came when many suddenly bought Bitcoin at inflated prices. Then came the crash, everyone cursed Bitcoin as the devil's stuff and scam. Then they weren't interested in Bitcoin at all for three years, and suddenly these people are talking about buying Bitcoin again Smiley
1933  Economy / Economics / Re: 2021 not Looking good on: December 03, 2020, 01:53:28 PM
2020 is more badder and 2021 is the year where we all get up from the bad things that happen to us this 2020, because 2021 is the year that we are going to have a vaccine, and CoVid will be wipe out in 2021, so I consider 2021 the year of hope, very much different from your analysis, once we get rid of the pandemic we are going to move on and get up.

You are very optimistic for 2021. There are still to many open questions to looking forward positively to 2021. What if vaccine is not working as desired? What if global financial stability begins to falter, as you can already hear from some statements and leads us into a financial crisis that is bigger than the 2008? And so on ...
1934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding or Scalping ? what do you chose on: December 01, 2020, 09:17:27 PM
From the beginning, hodling Bitcoin was the only surefire way to grow your fortune. Constant trading worked for some, but most failed and lost a lot of money over the years. Bitcoin is a deflationary asset and therefore hodling is the only save option.

1936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Compare Withdrawal Fees before you trade on a Exchange on: December 01, 2020, 09:10:59 PM
This is really nice and very helpful especially now there are many exchanges, it also shows the reason why most exchanges will continue to rank up or being used mostly by users than others. Nevertheless, one can hardly blame small exchanges, I mean they are looking for more ways to make money and will surely be open to more ideas hence finds withdrawal fees as a good way to get started.
-snip-

Sure, withdrawal fees should not be the only factor to select an exchange. There are some more important ones like geographical restrictions, authenticity, security, anonymity etc in my opinion. But sometimes there are really outrageous fees and then you can use this page to quickly check whether the exchange is an option or not.
1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: December 01, 2020, 09:00:37 PM
And Atlanta is 0-1 behind at home against Midjtylland or however you may write that. Especially Ajax will be happy with that.
I thought it was strange that Real Madrid lost to Donetsk again. home and away.

I am watching all matches in TV conference. The lead of Midjtylland and Schachtar are surprising but also the other matches have interesting constellations. Mönchengladbach vs Inter, where Mönchengladbach is definitely the better team so far, but also the performance of Porto (against ManCity) and Ajax (against Liverpool) are very good. I think we could see some more surprises in the end results today Smiley
1938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market is plunging on: November 29, 2020, 06:10:35 PM
It's awesome to see that the market correction is over and there has been a good percentage of increase in the value of ethereum and Ripple most especially. I was relaxed when I saw the dwindling prices because its a norm in the cryptocurrency market. I do hope that we would surpass the market resistance and mark a new ATH.

It's not only a norm in crypto currency markets it is also a norm in all other markets. When markets rise extremely sharply in a short period of time, sooner or later there will be a correction. The only question is, will there be a short correction and then the rise will continue or will there be a long-lasting crash (as we had from early 2018 to late 2019). In this case it is definitely the former, so it was a good time to buy more cheaply.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Probability on: November 29, 2020, 06:04:17 PM

This is a very useful spreadsheet, but in fact it is not correct. It was created on the assumption that the opponent has random cards in his hands. In fact, if you have two aces, your opponent will call your bet (which you must raise very seriously) with cards that are much better than the average.

All such tables only reflect average figures and do not need to be treated as something very accurate. However, it is quite possible to estimate the chances of falling out of a particular combination of cards.
In general, sometimes it seems to me that the chances of getting good cards by the opponent are much higher than mine.  Cheesy

Yes, and not to forget, poker is a game of 50% probability and 50% psychology. Sot the probability figures show only half the truth. I have followed a lot of poker matches on TV years back and I could not count the times in which a player with much better cards (and therefore better chances to win) through away his/her cards because the opponent convinced him with its behaviour that the player has worse cards (what was not the case). Knowing the probability of your own hand helps but you also need to consider factors like psychological behaviour, table position, stack highs etc, too.
1940  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [Diskussion] - [IOTA] - Erste blockchainlose Kryptowährung designed für das IdD on: November 28, 2020, 11:51:50 PM
Es geht noch viel schlimmer!

Lisk

LSK - auch ein deutsches Projekt

Ja, derlei Projekte gibt es ja en masse. IOTA ist da ein bisschen anders, da es zumindest sehr progressiv ist, wenn auch mit ungewissem Ausgang.
<snip>
