Binance US going to suspend XRP trading and deposit from january 13!

https://support.binance.us/hc/en-us/articles/1500000956801

Not only Binance. Coinbase has also announced that it will temporarily suspend XRP trading to wait and see how the lawsuit will proceed. This could also be a first indication that sooner or later XRP will also be removed from Coinbase. Other platforms are still sticking to XRP, but the question is how long they can do that without coming into the focus of the SEC and other regulatory authorities.

I am a merit source myself and sometimes have difficulty distributing all my merits. I would therefore "hijack" your thread and give the applicants here extra merits every now and then, in case I have some left over. I hope you are okay with that @Ratimov !?
1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: prediction betting platform pros and cons? on: December 30, 2020, 08:19:52 PM
No matter what site you want or what your preferences are, I would always start with a site that is licensed.
You have to build in for yourself with a certain degree of certainty that your money is safe.
That's true but that's not always the case there are some websites that doesn't have any license but consider as a reputable and trusted website well I was referring to bustabit but they are more on a online casino and not a betting website, I really think sports betting is different and should need to have a license.

I'm divided when it comes to prediction platforms because I've already tried a few myself. On the one hand they give a very good direction in which a match can go, on the other hand my chance of success was just over 50%. That's enough to be profitable if you apply strict money and balance management, but on the whole I wouldn't invest any money for it. It is the same with particular Telegram groups. They rarely manage to get more than 55% of the bets right.
1844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC has replaced XRP for the 4th place on: December 29, 2020, 07:27:34 PM
XRP has been getting crashed drastically from the day of its securities offering. The initial decline of the market happened from around $0.58 to $0.28 in few days time. This is unexpected, and XRP isn't the same as bitcoin and ethereum which can be mined. XRP's majority holdings were owned by the ripple labs, and they have complete control. Litecoin will get boosted out of the prevailing market situation.

Is it really that unexpected? I think most XRP investors are not at all clear how many XRP the founders and Ripple Lab still hold and that sooner or later they will be thrown onto the market what will cause market corrections. Add to that the irregularly large sales in the past by these people and it was clear that sooner or later this practice would be scrutinized for a regulated company like Ripple.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 29, 2020, 07:22:03 PM
Hertha are going to play a home game against Schalke this weekend. Schalke are the worst team in the league now. They still haven't got a win. They scored just 8 goals in 13 matches and conceded 36 goals (23 of them away). Hertha couldn't get a win for 3 matches. This is an opportunity for them to get a nice win. I think Hertha will win this match.
Hertha x1.71 and Schalke x4.8, with their bad performance Schalke is unlikely to challenge Hertha unless Hertha's players underestimated Schalke toooo much.
I see the boyz talking about Bayern game, I will put this here and move: Bayern x1.12 - Mainz x19 Roll Eyes

Well there is a double chance opportunity for Schalke if the odds are such good for Hertha. Hertha BSC has also problems this season and don't get me wrong, the team is favored in this match, but in my opinion the odds are very exaggerated. Double chance Schalke @ 2.67.
1846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: want to invest .. on: December 29, 2020, 07:17:02 PM

After seeing the growth in the price of the coin in the past few weeks, it leaves us confused as to which investment to make. I want to invest in all of the coins. but only a little capital owned. what action am i taking right now?

All coins? You mean something like an ETF? Cheesy This does not exist and it is not recommend to invest in "all" coins because most are shit coins which cost performance of your portfolio. You should pick not more than six or seven projects you believe in and buy coins/tokens of these projects. If you have only a small budget I would recommend to not invest in more than three project for the start. If I would be in your position I would wait for a correction before I would do my initial investment in crypto.
1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020... Altseason? on: December 28, 2020, 09:11:21 PM
Don't hold your breath for altcoins. There's a lot o FUD going on coming from big social media influencers saying that Bitcoin dominance will go to 80% and alts will go to 0 when SEC sues other projects the same way they did to XRP.

I think this FUD is what is holding altcoins back and making people buy only BTC. But it won't last forever that's for sure!

SEC sued XRP because the owners/founders did shaddy actions. So it is justified in my opinion. However, many Altcoins are different from XRP and will therefore not be prosecuted by the SEC. Litecoin, for example, is basically a Bitcoin clone. In principle, you are currently spreading FUD yourself.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: December 28, 2020, 08:04:08 PM
During this pandemic, I sold many coins to survive that I hold for a long on the other hand 95% of coins in my portfolio are yet to list so this pandemic is like a dark night for me. Earlier my portfolio was good when coins getting listed now and then but in the past 1 year time only 5-7 coins listed that I hold in my portfolio so the listing of the bounty coins was very meager and that affects me to some extent. Now it reduces to almost nothing.

Sad to read.
As I have already written, little has changed in my portfolio overall. I even bought more at the lows in March and April. Overall, however, I have reduced the number of projects and am now only invested in a few large projects because these have shown stability in the crisis, while many Altcoins have shown weakness.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 28, 2020, 06:17:17 PM
Giroud scored the first goal for Chelsea. Regardless of how the game will end today, I think the probability is high that Thomas Tuchel (former PSG coach) will be introduced as the new Chelsea coach in the next few days. Lampard does not yet have the format for such a big club.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 27, 2020, 08:08:20 PM
Liverpool has ruined their chances for a new title because this 3 points that they lost here will count a lot before the end of the season. They had a lot of scoring chances and yet they were satisfied with 1-0 that was done in 12 minute of the game and that has cost them the last 10 minutes of the game.

Spurs - Wolves next. Another surprise ?

Dude, they had a draw, so they effectively lost two points. But they are still three points ahead of Everton and four points ahead of Leichester (and probably Tottemham if they win their match against Wolverhamption tonight). Nothing is lost  Cheesy FC Liverpool ist still in an excellent position to win the championship, especially since their competitors like ManCity, ManU and Arsenal have not performed well so far.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 27, 2020, 06:40:18 PM
I'm expecting an easy win for Liverpool against West Bromwich Albion. They wouldn't make any mistakes at this point. West Bromwich will be relegated probably at the end of the season. Firmino, Mane and Salah will play, there is no rotation against weak teams. I thought maybe Origi would start but Klopp don't want to see any surprise today.

Usually I would too. But after all the rumors and uncertainties surrounding the Mo Salah interview, there is still unrest in the ranks of Liverpool. If West Bromwich is having a good day then they could make a surprise today.

I knew why I did not bet on the Liverpool match. As I expected earlier this day, the team was obviously influenced by the rumors surrounding Mo Salah. West Bromwich did not really play well today but it was enough to achieve a draw against this Liverpool team. If WestBrom would have had a really good day they would have easily won the match.
1852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: December 27, 2020, 04:27:26 PM
People really ready to spend their time to watch ads for a few sats?
I would say so yes there are enough people willing to watch computer ads for satoshis.    Just look at how many people use crypto faucets.

It is a similar concept and its a working one.  You just need to stare at your screen and you will earn free bitcoin.  It is not difficult and if you are already viewing your screen you can earn easy money too.
wait . you can now earn free sats/btc on brave ? i thought its the bat token that they are giving away as a reward but bat token can still be converted into a sats/btc once we cashed

No, there is still only the possibility to earn BAT tokens which you can withdraw when you are fine with doing a KYC and then you can exchange those BAT into Bitcoin if you will. But on the one hand you need to do a KYC for little money and on the other hand the earnings have decreased over the last months. So it is not really worth it to participate on the program just to make money. However, you can make some side earnings to spend them for content creators.

Vielen Dank, sehr aufschlussreich.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: December 27, 2020, 03:57:57 PM
I have seen many gamblers improve their lives because of gambling.

And I've seen more people who have lost everything and, in extreme cases, even commited suicide. Over the years there have been sad stories to read here in the forum. Very few can make a living from gambling, and they really do it professionally in all of its aspects. Most of the players lose more than they bet.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: December 27, 2020, 03:48:19 PM
2017 began as a bullish year for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the market. I remember when BTC went from $1k to almost $20k in just 2017 alone. That's a massive price increase never before seen in the history of crypto. During that time, new projects started to rise with ambitions to make our world a better place. ICOs where a big hit, followed by Bitcoin-based forks like Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold. Many who invested prior to the bull market of 2017, have made exponential gains in a short amount of time. It was crypto's best moment as it went into the mainstream so quickly.

Once 2018 started, prices for major cryptocurrencies went all the way down the drain. Governments imposed heavy-handed regulations against ICOs, reducing the demand for ETH and its tokens on the market. At the same time, some countries banned crypto from being used by their citizens. Many negative events happened in 2018, which stifled crypto's growth in the mainstream world. Then came 2019 that was almost the same as 2018, and now it's 2020 where people are starting to buy crypto once more because of the negative effects of COVID-19 on the mainstream economy. Yet, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still behind their latest ATH  (All-Time-High) in price. With BTC's Third Halving , prices should've been within the $15k range by now. Still, crypto is not the same as it used to be back in 2017.

Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

Yes,you are right. I am agree with your post.2017 was the most successful year in crypto. So,the year of 2017 was the golden year of crypto.

By now, it was. In 2017 Bitcoin price increased by up to 2000%, while in 2020 the price has risen by around 600%. So in percentage terms, 2017 is the most successful year. In absolute terms, however, 2020 is the most successful. So you can see it either way.
1857  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: December 27, 2020, 03:35:48 PM
The economy collapsed due to COVID-19 Bitcoin is growing based on its demand the epidemic did not break Bitcoin so if the whole world supports Bitcoin then its use of bitcoin investment will help improve the shattered economy. Banks will bring their transactions back to normal many traders will invest in Bitcoin through loans due to the increase in the price of bitcoin.

The Bitcoin rally has nothing to do with the pandemic.

Not directly, but indirectly. Of course, the rise in the Bitcoin price also has something to do with the good news and that more and more institutional investors are deciding to invest in Bitcoin. But that is also because they no longer have any alternatives. Stocks, bonds, gold, real estate and so on are extremely expensive and this is also due to the printing of fiat money, which was high before the pandemic and is now even more. Without the pandemic, Bitcoin would not have risen to this level at this point in time.

Leicester - Manchester Utd

Leicester play very badly against Manchester United. The last 5 matches - 4 lost. But Leicester has played well in recent matches. I think it will be an interesting game with a lot of goals.

Leicester vs Manchester United would be one matches to watch for the week, Leicester have been getting better in recent weeks but so have Man Utd, I will give my the edge to win this. However, my better will like be btts or under 2.5, whichever odds I find more valuable before the game.

Agree, hard to predict. The odds favor Manchester United, but both team have had a good run over the last weeks so it is pretty very balanced in my opinion. I try to go for double chance Leichester @1.72. I also see a good chance in betting for a win of Southhampton @2.33 against Fulham.

I too believe it's going to be a competitive match. A draw is highly probable. Manchester United is bouncing back to it's place after gathering together after a bad start while Leicester city is falling from the grace. The game would be played on the home ground of Leicester and they'll have a home advantage while ManU is undefeated for some games now.

The argument with the home group is weak in times of Corona. It has already been discussed in detail in a different thread, but I am convinced that a homeground game without spectators brings hardly any advantages for the home team. Nevertheless I favor Leichester in this match.
1860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: December 25, 2020, 02:16:47 PM
Price of the Bat token is down 9.51% in the last 7 days.  It might have something to do with Brave CEO Brendan Eich and his controversial comments.  This is not how head of a company should be acting if he wants people to trust in his products.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/22/business/brave-brendan-eich-covid-19.html

Unfortunately, Brave has lost its trust a lot over the past few months. I've been with Brave from the start, even when the browser was beta. I've used it as my main browser on desktop and iPhone for over a year. But the decisions and the broken promises of what can be done with the earned BATs have led me to distance myself from the browser. I haven't used it at all since the summer. And it seems like Brave isn't learning from past mistakes. It's a shame it's a good product.
