Symbol is basically NEM 2.0. Since this new version contains major technical changes (among other things NEM is based on Java while Symbol was rewritten in C++), it was necessary to create a new chain. NEM 1.0 (XEM) is no longer technically compatible with NEM 2.0  aka Symbol (XYM). Therefore, NEM 1.0 (with a high degree of probability) will not have a future. Therefore this massive price drop is no suprise and was to be expected.

Wenn du hier runterscrollst bis auf den Abschnitt "Built-In Features", dann siehst du einen Vergleich der beiden Projekte. Im Prinzip kann Symbol alles was NEM kann plus einiges mehr. Teilweise ist es das gleiche Schema (Mosaics, Namespaces, Plugins), teilweise nutzt Symbol einen anderen Ansatz (z.B. Fixed Fees vs Customizable Fees oder POI vs POS+). Ich sehe kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal von NEM gegenüber Symbol, wenn man mal vom POI-Consensus absieht.

Man kann das Symbol Wallet 0.15.0 herunterladen unter https://github.com/nemgrouplimited/symbol-desktop-wallet/releases
Danach einfach die Daten vom Opt-In importieren und man sieht seine Balance auf der Symbol-Chain, die aktuell natürlich nur aus dem Genesis-Block besteht.
