2001  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Bitcoin dumping right now? on: November 07, 2020, 08:56:56 PM
Is it because the Trump people have given up?

Is it because the Biden people are relaxing after what they think is a win?

I had hoped Bitcoin would actually make it to $20,000 this time!

Cool

Well, the United States are now officially a socialist communist state. The seeds are now being sown to gradually nationalize all private property, including Bitcoins. It is no coincidence that yesterday the judiciary seized Bitcoin worth one billion. This was only the beginning. At the latest when Kamal Harris takes over the office of president in two years, because Biden is no longer able to live in good health, the full extent of this election will become apparent. Therefore everyone should now immediately sell their Bitcoin. It is all over  Cool
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when is the right time to buy cryptocurrency? on: November 07, 2020, 04:28:02 PM
After the experience of almost a decade in crypto, I can tell you that there is no suitable time. There is only a time when you should not buy, and that is when the project has been hyped for some time. Many wait too long and then buy at the all-time high and then lose a lot. If you are convinced of a project, do your work and make an in-depth analysis, if it convinces you then buy, just not when it is at its all-time high, preferably in a correction, otherwise leave it alone.

Has anything been changed? I have not seen the signature for over a week and since today the signatures are visible again, although I did not change/updated the browser nor the uBlock Origin addon.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 07, 2020, 02:53:21 PM
I think Schalke is not favorite too choose because they have bad result and now Schalke position on lower fixture and have been in 16th position.
Seems so, Mainz is leading 1 - 0. Also Union Berlin is leading 2 - 0 very early. I just set a bet for double chance Augsburg against Hertha Berlin. Currently it is still 0 - 0, but I am hopeful Augsburg can at least make a draw.
2005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 07, 2020, 12:47:54 PM

I don’t have high hopes for Everton, even their top striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin talked about how they aren’t doing as well as they used to in the past few weeks.

Fallen below the standards we set ourselves in the last couple of weeks. Got to be better. Starts Saturday.

It was expected from Everton to start loosing games,it was bound to happen sooner or later. They are not good enough to have huge amount of wins in a row.I am curious to see how they react after 2 losses in a row against opponent that also really needs victory here.

I agree. Everton will make it under the best six teams by the end of the season but they will not make it into top 3. Nevertheless, I think they have a good chance today to win or achieving a draw. According to bookmakers, ManU is the favorite team for the match which gives us the chance to go for double chance Everton @2.01.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scoring a goal with the VAR interruption on: November 05, 2020, 11:13:02 AM
Does anyone have experience in this, or does anyone know how bookmakers deal with such a situation? The odds are not locked all the time, so there is the option to bet immediately once the goal has been scored.

Thanks for bringing up this topic. I have recently faced exactly this issue while I was doing live betting. It happened on FortuneJack. I set a bet for which team is going to score next right after a goal was happened. The game went on, but after around 30 seconds after kick-off, the match was interrupted by the referee because VAR detected a foul right before the goal was happened. After short check the goal was cancelled. As you described the odds immediatley changed again and FortuneJack cancelled my bet and credited my stake. I think this is the best option a bookmaker can do.
2007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Youengine (YOUC) failed on: November 05, 2020, 11:03:18 AM
5. John mcafee name was tagged to the project banner and they keep sharing it as if John McAfee is all they need to be successful when we know that he is a king of nonsense Hypes.

Well, this point alone is a red flag. You can't count how many projects he has promoted over the past few years and none of them have come close to being successful. As an investor, one should follow the rule: Do not invest in a project in which John McAffee is involved.
2008  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: November 05, 2020, 10:36:13 AM
If you need fiat money try some online freelance sites where you can earn some money for living, as for me I've learned trading crypto and doing ok so far, not worry too much about the job.

The thing is, a lot of people who lost their jobs during the pandemia are looking for jobs online now and a lot of them joined services like upwork or clickworker, what caused a crash in the hourly rates. I use upwork to give some work away from time to time and I noticed that since March the hourly rates are decreasing steadily and competition is increasing. For example, before the crisis I had to pay up to $20/hr (normally between $13-15) for some programming tasks. Two weeks ago, when I offered my last job, someone very experienced offered the work for $9.15. Never before I noticed such low rates.
2009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason Why $ETH sudden jump on: November 04, 2020, 06:50:27 PM
So two big good news, one is regarding the change in US president from anti to pro crypto and now the launch of eth 2.0.
Looks like remaining 2020 will be massively bullish for eth, btc and other top coins, im already feeling excited.

Biden is pro-crypto? Where the hell did you get this information from, as far as is known, he never said anything about it. No president will be pro-crypto because it indirectly undermines the US dollar, so that's certainly no reason why crypto prices are rising.
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is UniSwap the most powerful in the Defi market? on: November 04, 2020, 06:04:57 PM
It was the most powerful for some months now but I'm guessing it won't last forever, the era of DeFi is already fading away.

1. New dex exchanges will come up with better utilities e.g blablabla // LIKE BITCOIN alternatives ?
2. DeFi hype is over //  blablabla

Bulshitter poster . Are you paid to talk nonsense?

edit.

Oh, well, that's a stupid question. Signature campaign and write anything /

Well, he might me right. The DeFi hype will pass, just like the other hypes have passed (ICO, Smart Contracts, Colored Coins etc). UNI has a big disadvantage because it is currently only based on ETH and the network costs are sometimes very high, which can make UNI unattractive compared to centralized exchanges. I think UNI is rated far too high and it will only survive in the long term if it integrates other blockchains.
2011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US 2020 Elections data, polls and bets on: November 04, 2020, 06:01:21 PM
According to https://smarkets.com/event/886736/politics/us/us-presidential-election-2020/2020-election-winner Biden has 81% chances for win now!
Wow, trading on bets was as good occasion as shorting shitcoins Cheesy

The problem with these numbers is that it assumes that the majority of the postal votes go to Biden. Should that be more balanced, Trump could win the tight Nevada in addition to Pennsylvannia, Georgia and North Carolina (where he currently leads). That would be enough for him, then he can lose Wisconsin and Michigan to Biden.
2012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 04, 2020, 05:42:36 PM
I wonder why St. Petersburg (@2.34) against Lazio Rome (@3.25) is strongly favored by the odds. I see Lazio as the favorite, so could there be a betting opportunity or am I missing something? Same with Leizpig (@2.42) and PSG (@2.95), very strange.
2013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 03, 2020, 07:13:57 PM
Gladbach is now even up 4-0 against Donezk. How did Real lose against them again?! This group B is getting more and more interesting. Today's gonna be a crucial match for Real. If they can't win today, they are really in danger on not surving that group. Wouldn't have guessed that when groups were drawn...

Pretty impressive. The better question is, how could Real achieve a draw against this Mönchengladbach team Cheesy This result increases the pressure on Real to win against Inter Mailand later this day. If they are going to lose, their chance to reach next round are not pretty good anymore. So I am really exciting to watch it live on tv.
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safeguarding funds , your funds on exchanges are safe? on: November 03, 2020, 03:59:12 PM
There is only one simple rule that has kept me from losing my coins in one of the exchange hacks or exchange bankruptcies in almost 10 years of crypto: Always deduct your coins from the exchange as soon as you have made your trade. Never leave them and never hold open positions for more than two or three days. That is the secret.

2016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 03, 2020, 03:43:11 PM
Real Madrid need to win but they are not the better side. Honestly I wouldn't take the risk for not a rewarding odd, my sportsbook shows 1.75 odd for Real Madrid win.
Actually I'm ignoring whole Group B tonight, I don't want to touch Shakhtar - Mönchengladbach match either. Too hard to pick a side, too hard to pick over/under goals. Anything can happen in these 2 games.

I do not see Real Madrid as favorite team as well in this match. So I would go for double chance Inter Milano @1.94 which is really good odds in my opinion. Real has obviously some problems at the moment, which showed the matches against Shakhtar and Mönchengladbach. Therefore chances are not bad that Milano can achieve a Remis or even win the match.
2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of DeFi on: November 02, 2020, 03:37:18 PM
There is no KYC

Defi allows its users to lend and borrow from each other, without using the same procedures as traditional finance. In the absence of a central authority, KYC (Know Your Customer), credit scores, etc. are not used.

What does KYC have to do with DeFi? In principle nothing at all. You can implement KYC, credits scores etc. on DeFi systems, in some countries it is even mandatory to do so nowadays. Likewise, there are or were countries (such as Switzerland) where you could have "centralized" accounts without KYC
2018  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: November 02, 2020, 02:56:07 PM
Even if there is a vaccine by 2022 or 2023, the virus will certainly have changed, so the vaccine will no longer be correct, just as flu viruses change every year. In Norway, there have recently been the first reports that a new strain of the virus has been discovered, which is said to be less deadly but even more infectious. We will be dealing with this virus for years to come. Thanks to the Chinese, who missed this epedemic for many weeks and did not inform the world. Otherwise others could have intervened much earlier.
2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 02, 2020, 02:37:11 PM
Spurs can be a real force.

Spurs have a good team. Bale was the right buy and he is already playing better than the last years with Madrid. With Bale, Tottenham could become a secret favorite for this Premier League season, because Liverpool and ManCity are weakening and I don't see teams like ManU, Arsenal and Everton at the top.
