There is no argument whether this system is correct or not.  It is the rule of the Company and tyz agrees with it.

That's true. I don't want to complain about this rule because I agreed to it when I signed up. I just wanted to start a discussion and exchange of experiences about this type of affiliate compensation after realizing that there is no thread about this topic yet.

Will erstmal warten was ihr so bereichtet.

Currently giving Vivaldi a try, since the 'Braver' fork seems like it's still in early development.  Vivaldi is like a weird hybrid of Chrome and Opera but with supposedly better adblocking.  Only just installed it, so too early to be making recommendations yet.  Fingers crossed, I guess.

//EDIT:  uBlock Origin plugin, too.

I have used Vivaldi for a while as a second browser. It is not bad. Basically it is most of old Opera + Chromium Engine. From my experience, ad blocking is not better or worser than with Chrome, Firefox and others so it has never become my first browser. Also, it is mostly closed source software what is a drawback for me. As an alternative you can use Chromium Browser which is Google Chrome without Google Cheesy
2405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Affiliates: Carryover of Negative Revenue Share Profit on: June 23, 2020, 07:01:43 PM
Are you carrying the losses of the Casino as an investor, or, are you yet to receive a payment from a referral scheme as some of the other people are asking?  Your OP is very vague as to what you are referring to.

No, I carry the losses as a normal user who referred a new member who made big profits. I am not an investor of the betting site.

I don't think you have to pay once your balance goes negative because that would be discouraging for the referrer if it's true. Usually there's a seperate balance between the two(gambling and affiliate) to avoid confusion.

No, you do not have to pay if the balance goes negative. But all future profits from referrals are offset against the negative balance first. If the balance goes positive again you can make a withdrawal.
2406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Affiliates: Carryover of Negative Revenue Share Profit on: June 22, 2020, 08:53:19 PM
I think I should make things more precise Smiley

The case I described in the first post concerns Sportsbet.io affiliate. At Sportsbet you only earn if a referred user loses a bet. If a user wins a bet you get negative affiliate balance. The idea behind this is that more users usually lose than win, so the affiliate partner makes a gain in the long run anyway. Now in this case a user made big profits with two bets (> 1 Bitcoin) over a year ago. Since then my affiliate balance has been negative. The negative balance has declined a little over the last months but there is still a huge negative balance which is carried over from month to month.
2407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Best Bitcoin wallet? on: June 21, 2020, 10:44:44 AM
There is no one answer in my opinion. It depends on what you want to do with your bitcoin.

Regular transfers
If you want to receive and send Bitcoin regularly, Electrum wallet is definitely recommended.

Cold Wallet
If you want to store Bitcoin on a long-term basis, I would rely on a hardware wallet. Trezor or Ledger are highly recommended.

Mobile
If you are looking for a mobile wallet, then BRD wallet is recommended.

Under no circumstances I would rely on online wallets and paper wallets.

punters continue to favor biden---latest chances to win per betfair:

-trump 40%
-biden 54%

https://odds.watch/trump-2020

Odds are changing very fast. Perhaps it is time to make a bet in favor of Biden, before it is too late. I should have done this at least one month ago, when the bookies were favoring Trump to win the re-election. BTW, I checked the link and I was surprised that they have given 1% chance for Hillary to win the POTUS 2020 elections. Now it is : Biden - 55%, Trump - 40%, Hillary - 1%.

Would make sense if you fully trust the polls. I found an interesting article on Oddsshark (btw a really great site if you do betting regularly) which summarizes the presidential race 2016. Relying on the odds, it was always a good idea to bet on Clinton. But we know what the final result was.
2409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling Affiliates: Carryover of Negative Revenue Share Profit on: June 19, 2020, 11:42:10 AM
I would like to read your experiences with negative carryover from gambling affiliate earnings. Especially with betting sites.

In the past few years I have had small amounts of negative carryover on various gambling sites from time to time. Those carryovers were usually equalized after 1-2 months at the latest, so that I had a positive balance again. Some sites even limit the time you take the negative carryover with you before it is set to zero.

In a current case with a betting site I have a large negative carryover due to a successful user that has been carried over for more than a year now, which means that it will probably take a very long time until I have affiliate income again on the site, although many referrals are active, but their losses do not compensate the high profits which were made by one referral.

2411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soccer Betting Tips Daily for Free on: June 19, 2020, 10:52:44 AM
Maybe I'm too sceptic but I.just don't believe to such tips, especialy if they are given for free. Maybe this player have good and honest intention and wants to help the others, which is rare, but I just don't have confidence. Probably because of my bad experience.

There are bettors that do it professionally and make a living from it. So they have to win more than they lose in the long run. This is only possible when you have access to more information than average bettors (there are KI-services available today for instance) and follow a strict strategy.
With two years of experience, the thread creator implies that he is "experienced". Therefore, he should also prove whether he is/was really successful before any newcomer uncritically follows his tips and loses money.

If you're so shocked and your trust is gone, you'd better switch to the forked project Braver Browser.

if the forking is done only to remove the ref link, ...

Yes for now there have only been removed the reflinks and BAT token functionalities. But there are plans for the future to rebuild the browser. There are discussions to base the browser on Firefox-Engine, remove all crypto wallets and all external services like Google Translate for example.

2415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the terms you decide on which casino to play? on: June 17, 2020, 05:45:14 PM
What do take into account picking the right one to play in?

Reliability! The number of games plays a minor role. There may be 1000 of casinos, but the vast majority of them make trouble if you e.g. make a big profit with a free bonus or suddenly require (against their own ToS) a KYC for larger payouts or blocks accounts for no valid reason. As long as you keep depositing and losing, you are the best friend of all casinos, but if you then make bigger profits, speration of wheat from chaff begins.

Aston Villa will ask  £80m for Jack Grealish.

Insane amount of money for this player. The hope that the transfer sums will normalize as a result of the crisis has probably been in vain. Jack Grealish is a good player, but far from being worth £80 million.

2419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: June 16, 2020, 08:01:42 PM
You win/lose the election in October/November, not in June, and I expect him to go full blast in his typical manner then - with an economy in uptrend again (I don't believe in a second Corona wave) and a more uniting approach for the United States of America.

there are too many big variables at present, one of which is the economy/coronavirus. with infections, hospitalizations, and deaths on the rise (which will probably spike even more given recent reopenings and protests) i expect new shelter-in-place/social distancing orders in the summer or fall. after all, those decisions are up to state governors (who are much more concerned about public health than trump) and not the federal government. i think the economy and markets might take a shit at the worst possible time for trump, in the heat of election season.

in any case i'm definitely taking the trump bet if he starts getting priced like 2016. we're nowhere near there yet.

Agree to both of you. There is another factor which could play an important role this time: China. According to current surveys negative views of China continues to grow in the USA, among Republicans and Democrats. Two thirds of Americans are unfavorable to China, the highest number since decades. Trump is known for his negative attitude towards China, while Biden is considered to be more China-friendly. If Trump bets on this card and takes advantage of it, it could bring voters on his side.

Roll Eyes
