2661  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you investing in crypto currency alone? on: June 13, 2021, 10:55:50 AM
how will you describe the economic situation in your country at the moment?
Awful...

I am curious, Apart from your crypto Holdings, what other investments do you have? Or are you investing in crypto alone?
Just to be clear, I've never seen cryptocurrencies [specifically BTCitcoin] as an investment asset and I've always used it as a "normal" currency and in regards to other investments, I've recently started investing 20% of my income [main job] into purchasing golds.
- I'm also looking into the possibility of either becoming a part-owner in a medical clinic or save more and become the sole owner [the latter comes with a lot of risks when it comes to ROI but I'd have more freedom].
2662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can El Salvador's adoption of Bitcoin as legal currency increase interest in Sat on: June 13, 2021, 08:33:03 AM
Because of this, owning a Bitcoin must seem unfathomable to a vast majority of people living there so do you think this will lead to more people talking about Satoshis?

Possibly raising Bitcoin's interest even further?
Regardless of their minimum wages [and average income], the fact that it might sound like a completely new technology to some is more than enough to get their attention, and that'll always lead to more discussions being generated towards BTCitcoin.
- Having said that, scammers will surely try to take advantage of the situation so they could mislead tech-illiterate Salvadorians [unfortunately].
2663  Economy / Goods / Re: Offer a nice flat in Hungary near the Austrian border on: June 13, 2021, 04:38:11 AM
Price: 3,1 BTC (but I also prefer ETH, XRP or DOGE)
I don't think it's a good idea to state your price in BTCitcoin or other cryptocurrencies [due to their volatile nature]...
- You might want to consider replacing it with Dollars [$] instead and also mention if you're willing to go with one of the escrow providers [except me] from this forum [it'll help with the sale].
2664  Other / Meta / Re: How to add images and infographics on: June 13, 2021, 01:50:32 AM
Please attach a link to article or video where I can learn how to make an Announcement thread.
In addition to boyptc's post, the following threads might help you [try to combine them]:

Do you mean as a Jr.member one can post link and image? And is it only copper member that's available to buy? And how much could be the cost?
You can post links and if you try to post an image [as a Newbie], it'll turn into a link [until you rank up or purchase that membership].
- In regards to your last question, refer to "this" page.
2665  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: mining farm in Canada or hosting services in Canada on: June 12, 2021, 08:56:37 AM
looking for a place in Canada to move my miners over here in Canada.
The only one that I know [I'm sure there are more] in Canada is "CryptoBoreas"...
- I'm not sure about their hosting capacity, but you can contact "allinvain" or read through their "announcement" thread.
2666  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Searches for crypto exchanges currently blocked in China on: June 12, 2021, 07:39:45 AM
Why does Eastern government always want to have everything under their control?? The sooner they come to terms with bitcoin being an assets that was never meant to be under the control of one entity the better for everyone.
When it comes to China, it's always about them [government] having more benefits than their users. AFAICR, a couple of months back they were looking into launching their own digital currency [centralized], so they could easily track everything and there were even talks of them limiting how much each individual could have in such form [ridiculous].
- Judging by recent events, at first it looks like they're just redirecting Chinese nationals so they could control everything and also gain a large extent of the market, but I have a feeling that their main objective extends beyond their borders.
2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran also wants to legalize crypto on: June 12, 2021, 05:36:51 AM
I was expecting and hoping for this to happen a lot sooner... Not sure why he chose to do such a thing at the end of his term; The timing of such a move doesn't make much sense to me [I'm probably missing something].
- If this really happens, then it'll be great news for all of the BTCitcoiners in Iran, but there's still the risk that the next president might impose something else [hopefully not].
2668  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I started a blog interviewing crypto people. I called it Crypto Fireside. on: June 12, 2021, 04:19:33 AM
Well if anyone is interested feel free to read and follow along.
Just did [Leandro's interview] and enjoyed it a lot Wink

If it takes off some, i'll probably get some dedicated hosting and run it through a CMS like wordpress.
Please do so and I think you can even add some sort of weekly/monthly polls in regards to who you should interview next and what type of question should be asked based on the interest of the readers/viewers.
- Just to be clear, I have nothing against your questions Smiley
2669  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Widecoin - Fake Team (stock photos) on: June 12, 2021, 03:18:19 AM
I have reviewed this project in detail too.
No, you didn't [you're just part of it].

It is normal for image usage via the website or social media.
Since when?

One question to yourself, why don’t put your real photo on Bitcointalk forum profile ?  or you are easy to scam somebody in the forum?
First, you mentioned Satoshi and now us? Stop shifting the focus to someone else; We're using the forum like a "normal" user, but you and your so-called team [if there's any] on the other hand, are trying to sell a shitcoin to the community.

Before accusing anyone or any project is a scam, please kindly to check in detail.
Looks like you're the one that hasn't done an in-depth review on widecoin... Oops, I forgot you were with them Roll Eyes

It is impacted to real project reputation and of Bitcointalk forum reputation.
It was never a "real" project and I highly doubt it'll ever be one.

and exit the Bitcointalk account by switching to another forums
Perhaps it's the right time [for you] to follow them Smiley

You should apologize and correct inappropriate actions to the real project.
He shouldn't apologize for doing the right thing.

I am not in favor of any side to own selfish benefit but it is based on real proof of detail review.
Yeah, right! Roll Eyes

Refer to the two (2) ANNs they moved to their local-boards after confronting against their project:
For those that are wondering about the content of the above-deleted threads, you can refer to the following links instead:

2670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'El Salavador' could impose national TV display BTC price in dollars all time on: June 11, 2021, 04:23:51 PM
BTC price in dollars all the time in one corner of TV and on the front page of national newspapers and on the hourly radio news.

[EDIT: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television_in_El_Salvador]
What's next? Let me guess, they'll probably send [spam] everyone a text in regards to its rate on a daily basis!

On a serious note, I don't think the link you've added has anything to do with what you've written on the subject field. Am I missing something?
- I searched on google but had no luck in finding an appropriate source for this and I'm starting to think that this might've been nothing but speculation.
2671  Economy / Services / Re: Would anyone be interested for a custom sculpture made of clay here? on: June 11, 2021, 01:23:05 PM
Hi, I just like to know if anyone here would be interested to purchase a clay sculpture here?
bump
Have you decided how you're going to package those clay sculptures? Not sure which type of clay is being used, but are there any chances that they'd get distorted on shipping?
- You might want to also mention how much you'll be charging for such dimensions [might help in getting more responses].
2672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mining plants in China are shutting down. How will this be reflected on Btc on: June 11, 2021, 11:48:39 AM
@jqprez
In regards to the question on the subject field, I don't think this time around it'll have a significant impact on BTCitcoin... From what I've read online, only three provinces [Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and Qinghai] so far have banned such operations and it appears that they're targeting "only" coal-based regions; In other words, other regions may continue their operations depending on how they're operating it [not yet a nationwide ban].
2673  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: vacations in colombia with bitcoins on: June 11, 2021, 09:54:52 AM
and only configure my website to accept bookings with Bitcoin.
I tried to do some tests just to see which payment processor is being used on your platform but for some reason, I can't get past the "Payment details" page with the "Go to secure payment site" button...
- In case you'd ever decide to change the processor in question, here are some options: Awesome Bitcoin Payment Processors

Update:
Because you need to click on the conditions terms button. (Acepto el/la términos y condiciones andpolitica de cancelacion)
I tried myself and have been redirected to Paypal
I did that earlier but I kept getting a pop-up error [not sure if it's still there]; Thank you for taking the time to try it as well [I appreciate it] Smiley
2674  Economy / Scam Accusations / ChangeTrade.net is a clone/rip-off + has plagiarized content on: June 11, 2021, 07:51:23 AM
What happened:
I was reading through the following "thread" and the ending part caught my attention [payment through another platform], so I did some digging and found a lot of other similar websites that lied about their experiences as well as having plagiarized content.

Scammers Profile Link:
Coolmcf

Reference Link:
Want To Sell Domain [archived]
ChangeTrade.net [archived]
- Claims to have "2 years of experience", but it was created on "2021-05-07".

Payment through changetrade.net

Additional Notes:
Other similar fake platforms:

Their "about us [archived]" page was also taken from "Colodax [archived]".

Tagged and "created a flag".
2675  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: GPU Mining Equipment + S9 ASICS | Portland Local Pickup Available on: June 11, 2021, 05:45:00 AM
Will you buy if we provide pics?
You should provide those, even if none of us are looking to purchase those from you...
- That's the least you could to redeem/repair your reputation.

What do you want to look at?
@ArcusIsidar already mentioned that part before, but you can find a few more details from the following thread: Posting guidelines for physical goods
2676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Move your bitcoin related website to 'El Salvador' domain name - .SV domain name on: June 10, 2021, 07:21:36 PM
To say hello to 'El Salvador' we should all be buying .SV domain names!
It appears that someone has already started purchasing BTCitcoin related domains with .sv extensions. I wonder who that person is! You? Cheesy
- Out of curiosity, does anybody know a registrar that accepts BTCitcoin and offers such domain extensions?

Code:
Domain name: btc.com.sv
Registration date:  06-09-2021

Any update?
2677  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New website to monitor CryptoCurrency Correlation. What do you think? on: June 10, 2021, 08:57:03 AM
Other users have already given you great suggestions, but I'd like to give a few more as well...

  • When dealing with a pair that shows a big list of exchanges, it'd be better if the height of the chart is automatically adjusted, so it accommodates other names as opposed to the default height that shows only 4 rows.
    - I do know there's an option to drag and adjust its height but most of the time, it has a lag of some sort [we have to do it slowly or else, our cursor slides to the next chart].
  • When we click each of the three dots or rather expand the settings part, it overlaps the name of the chart; It'll be better if those names are move to the middle section of each chart.
  • You might want to consider changing how time is being shown for each of the divided sections...
    - Apart from the 60s mark, it'd be better to show other marks in minutes instead.

Overall, it's quite promising Wink
/Bookmarked.
2678  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the deal with Coinxtraders? Surely it's a scam, right? on: June 10, 2021, 07:28:28 AM
I can't find really barely any negative reports/scam reports on them anywhere online.
~Snipped~
But why is there not a single report anywhere? Surely someone would have said something if they were a scam?
I've been scouring the internet looking for someone calling them out and I find nothing surely someone would have said something about it by now. All I can find are positive reviews dating back to 2016.
In addition to other comments, you shouldn't be expecting a so-called exchange that was "created just nine days ago" to have any reviews [especially a "real" one].
- Hopefully, this wasn't just a creative way to promote that "scam/fake" exchange. Roll Eyes

2679  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone doing affiliate for hardware wallet on: June 10, 2021, 06:11:38 AM
What I'm planning is to promote an article (comparative) on hardware article with an affiliate link.
~Snipped~
Do you think it will be a good idea to promote hardware wallets here?
I'm only confused about whether a paid promotion would be a good idea or not.
You might want to specify which type of paid promotion you're referring to... AFAICR, nobody has tried such a thing on this forum [both for ad slots & signature campaigns - I could be wrong]. However, the former has a dedicated "impression count" page that you could refer to.
- Having said those, I've tried something similar before [2 years ago] with both targeted Facebook and YouTube ads and for $200 combined, I only got less than 30 clicks [I do know that a lot has changed since then, but Facebook had a lot of fake views and likes]. In other words, I don't think it's worth it.
2680  Other / Meta / Re: 👉 Listing at Bitcointalk on: June 10, 2021, 04:20:44 AM
specifically not being able to use images when you advertise (so you might need to get someone to convert them to HTML/Css).
Small correction: That's no longer the case; Images [static] can be used as ads, but they risk having such ads blocked by adblockers [will lead to fewer impressions for the duration of the ad, in comparison to the other two methods [there's also BBcode]].
