Take a bow Sandhagen! Hope Edgar recovers well of course. It was a monster of a knee, and although I think it was a spur of the moment thing, it couldn't have been better timed. Also, the angle he got by moving away from him while unleashing that monster of a knee caught him perfectly on the chin.

As for the predictions it was definitely a mixed bag as expected. I'm gutted for Joselyne, as I think her stand up game is fantastic as evidenced by her opponents face. However, she may have been found out on the ground. She had one nice escape, but largely accepted her position on bottom throughout the fight. She's a huge prospect, but she's going to need to work on her wrestling a little more, or at least her takedown defense. Her fight before this, she actually handled herself well on the ground, but she was still quite easily taken down. So, I think it might just be takedown defense she needs to work on, when clearly she's the weaker wrestler, because her stand up is probably one of the best in the division.
3562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 06, 2021, 09:26:03 PM
Right ....my prediction is some will win tonight, and some will lose. I'm kidding obviously, but I really didn't know who to go with on a few of these fights. I've seen some discussion on this being a weak card, but these are usually the ones with the action packed in, and good pacing. Also, we've got some huge fight nights coming up in the next few months.

Here's my picks:

Jerome Rivera
Youssef Zalal (Points)
Molly McCann (Points)
Joselyne Edwards (Points)
Devonte Smith (Points)
Mike Rodriguez (Points)
Clay Guida v Michael Johnson (To go the distance)
Diego Ferreira
Alexandre Pantoja
Cory Sandhagen (Points)
Alexander Volkov (TKO)

I've been impressed by Joselyne Edwards, so have picked her purely through being entertained on a few of her fights. I've also picked Cory Sandhagen because I like the way he fights, but I'll admit that his opponent might be better than I'm giving credit for. Those are really the two that I would say are bias picks from me.
3563  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Discord servers targeted in cryptocurrency exchange scam wave on: February 05, 2021, 04:28:24 PM
For anyone that  uses Discord for cryptocurrency related servers you should probably consider only accepting personal messages from people you have added as a friend. This way, you can keep all unsolicited messages out in the public, which a scammer is far less likely to do, and can still conduct trades or whatever via private message if you desire to do that.

Discord, Telegram, Skype, and various other services which aren't specifically created for Bitcoin, will tend to be abused. This forum, has multiple warnings when you are dealing with someone, either through their trust, or via a warning message if the user is a new user. So, you don't have that safety net, over in these sections, and its probably best to just limit those that can contact you to prevent any incidents highlighted above.
3564  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you check the code of open source software? on: February 05, 2021, 04:21:28 PM
I sometimes check smaller pieces of codes such as scripts which are in a very niche subject, so there hasn't been too many eyes on it. However, this quickly becomes unfeasible the bigger the project becomes. and this is when you start relying on others. Unfortunately, if anyone relies on each other, then it quickly becomes a moot point, and the code isn't being peer reviewed. However, projects which have had large amounts of commits, and forks are usually pretty well vetted honestly, as multiple developers will be changing various different parts of the code, there would probably be some indication of any malicious code sooner rather than later. However, just because something is open source, doesn't mean you should automatically trust it. I believe its quite common practice for companies to get their employees to vet the code before implementing anywhere near their systems.
3565  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I lower bitcoin network fees? on: February 05, 2021, 04:09:51 PM
Basically, as others have stated you include the fee based on the priority of the transaction. If you want to make a urgent transaction then you can increase the fee beyond the recommended value. If  you aren't in a particular rush for the transaction to be confirmed, you can lower the fee. Just remember, by lowering the fee you are reducing the chance that its included in the next block, and it could take a very long time if the fee is too low, or theoretically forever. Miners work on a incentive basis, so they include transactions which are higher incentive.

So, Bitcoin doesn't have too high fees per say, its just that paying around the average is recommended if you want that transaction to be sent, and confirmed within a acceptable time.
3566  Other / Meta / Re: Decline of Marketplace activity/trading on: February 05, 2021, 04:05:25 PM
In my observation incentive for spending bitcoin is very similar to incentive for selling bitcoin. It doesn't matter what the price is at any moment, how it got there is the important part. For example if the price were $100k now but it was reached by falling down from $400k then nobody would spend their bitcoin. Similarly if price was stuck at $100k and fluctuating wildly around that level. But if it was reached by jumping from $50k then everyone would be more than willing to spend their bitcoin.

We had that in 2017 when price shot up to $10k and it was 10x rise compared to the start of the year and people were spending their bitcoin 100x more. Then in 2018 when price fell spending stopped too.

Right now for once more price seems to be getting ready for a launch ergo people are hopeful for more profit so they hold on to their coins instead of spending/selling them.
Although, I do agree with your observation I do  tend to think a little differently. I don't think the current price matters much at all, its the mindset of the people who are buying into Bitcoin. Most of the things you can buy with Bitcoin, you can buy with fiat. Fiat doesn't really have the potential to skyrocket like Bitcoin does. Evidence as suggested that many people have spent what was considered low value at the  time, but then given enough years, it would have been a better investment to purchase with fiat. Not everyone is exclusively into Bitcoin, and I would estimate that most people in Bitcoin treat it as a long term investment, that they set aside a certain amount of money each week/month, and invest based on that. They use their fiat currency to purchase goods.

The only difference would be the collectible section, as this tends to house things which aren't typically available for fiat.

If you believe you might meet some of these requirements, but aren't sure, then you can contact an accountant. An accountant, will likely be able  to tell you whether you need too in a consultation, and it shouldn't cost you too much. Obviously, if you do fall into the category you can either choose to handle your own finances or get the accountant to do it for you for a yearly fee. Although, I understand wanting to handle your own finances, and not get a third party involved, its sometimes worth the privacy concerns when it comes to not understanding the laws exactly. I prefer to put my mind to ease on certain things, especially when it comes to taxes, and other regulations.
3568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: February 05, 2021, 01:13:54 PM
He can't make that excuse because he himself is a professional boxer, FYI, his record is 2-0, all win by KO>

Although, technically true his record, and status doesn't really tell the whole story. Yeah, he is a professional boxer, and yeah he does have a 2-0 record all of which ended in TKO/KO. However, they were not against traditional professional boxers, in fact I believe it was difficult to find a commissioning body to authorize them for professional boxing (no head guards) not all states that were approached were willing to do so. Plus, he didn't fight other professional boxers really, he fought in a "white collar" type event in which the opponents were not professional boxers previously to this event. Plus, its highly likely that the opponents that he has faced will never have a professional boxing match ever again, as this was a one off event.

So, although the MMA world is probably sweating it right now, Jake does have a reasonable excuse, and any outcome isn't going to overly damage his reputation. If he gets brutally knocked out, and doesn't land a glove then that might make him become a "meme", but its not really going to effect his chances of progressing further into boxing if he wanted too.
3569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 05, 2021, 01:06:02 PM
Yeah, proper 12 is about the typical price for "consumer" whiskeys, and what I mean by that is the ones which are the most popular. Think Jack Daniels, Jim Bean, and all those other similar type whiskeys. As I don't typically drink these types of brands, I've just ignored Proper 12, just because I would expect the same type of tastes. I'd be interested in hearing off anyone on here who's actually tasted it, and isn't inflating their opinions on a review as there's definitely been mixed reviews on it.

Back to the UFC, I'll put up my predictions in the next day or so. As for Conor, I don't think he deserves Khabib, as it would be the the same old story, and I don't think Khabib is actually wanting to come out of retirement, and it was just Dana trying to get eyes on the last event. However, I think Conor should be fighting a top 5 fighter other than Poirier before getting his rematch.

Conor has claimed that he's been preparing for the Pac fight, and overlooked Poirier, but I'm not sure I entirely believe that. He must have known how dangerous Poirier was, and he knows that you have to keep fighting to be the best, something which he hasn't been doing recently. So, you would have expected him to train the best he could coming into this fight.

I personally would like to see Chandler vs Poirier, and Conor fighting another top 5. Then, the winner takes on the other for a belt. Although, that might be a little unfair, since Chandler is definitely putting his name out there for a  title shot.
3570  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1BTC Reaching 1million Still Unrealistic on: February 04, 2021, 04:01:33 PM
At the end of the day, I would think that many people who have bought into Bitcoin would have gotten out before that figure ever comes, and Bitcoin will become a more, and more exclusive currency, which could either increase value more, or kill it completely . It completely depends on whether Bitcoin will still be accessible, and whether the demand is there. The great news is, Bitcoin can actually scale very well, when compared with traditional currencies. Yes, owning 1 Bitcoin, might be out of the reach of many people in the future, but that doesn't mean you can't own 0.000001 of Bitcoin. The only issue, is people are viewing Bitcoin as a traditional currency right now, that 1 Bitcoin is the goal for many people. However, any small amount of wealth you collect now, could very well make you a millionaire in the future. Bitcoin literally has a infinite price expansion right now, and I think most people are optimistic that we will see a new all time high, within the next few years.

For now, it might be unrealistic since it's too far to happen yet and we aren't using satoshi yet to compare a single dollar but when the right time comes we aren't here anymore. I wonder if Bitcoin would still be active if that time comes but what if there's a currency that people are using in the future? I can't tell anything about the future yet but it's sure a wonderful year especially if Bitcoin is still in used and 1BTC is equivalent to a six-figure price. Isn't it amazing? The unrealistic price turns out real in the future. Shocked
It should still have quite a few people involved, but as I mentioned above it might price people out of owning 1 Bitcoin. However, as you mentioned Satoshi's do exist, and therefore Bitcoin is far better than scaling than any other currency that I'm aware of. Meaning, that even if one Bitcoin reached a million dollars, then it would still be accessible using Satoshi's. Unfortunately, the drawback is that becomes complex quickly, and the lack of a safety net, could mean a lot of people misplacing a decimal point, and losing money.

These are obstacles that I think will be overcome through various software implementations to prevent accidents from happening.
3571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 04, 2021, 03:45:19 PM
I think I would have liked Conor get a fight in with someone else before the rematch with Poirier. I know that Chandler has been quite vocal about fighting for a belt against Poirier, and honestly thought he might deserve it more. Conor, has been out a long time, and hasn't won in a long time now (simply because he's been doing other things). I know that Conor, and Khabib actually have been pushing their own fitness programs recently, so you'd expect Conor to keep on fighting if he didn't get this rematch right away, but then again Khabib is still doing it without the exposure of the UFC right now.

I'd still probably want Conor to win in the rematch, and we might see some better odds this time around making a punt worth it on him. If this does happen, then its the perfect time for Conor to show his commitment, despite many questioning it.
3572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be enlightened about this platform on: February 04, 2021, 03:37:27 PM
Except for the plethora of content available which goes through various forum functions, and what sections are for what, sometimes the best way to learn is by just experiencing the content for yourself. Most sections are self explanatory, and as long as you keep to them when discussing topics, then you'll be fine. Bitcoin can be overwhelming, and getting used to the format of a forum can sometimes be hard, but with experiencing, and just by getting involved you'll become comfortable in no time at all.

If you can't find a solution to your question, and don't think it justifies opening a new thread about it, you can always contact me to see if I can help.
3573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who are you according to Glassnode classification? on: February 04, 2021, 03:32:47 PM
Most of the data collected would likely be by people submitting their proposed amounts, which is to susceptible to abuse to take seriously. Its like asking how big is your manhood, the majority of men will feel like they need to inflate it. So , although I get its for fun purposes, this isn't likely to be accurate in any sort of way. The only way, would be to collect statistics on those that sell on exchanges, and looking at their total amount traded. Even then, that's not completely accurate as I'm sure a lot of users don't trade their whole amounts, and only a percentage of their value in Bitcoin.
3574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: February 03, 2021, 01:23:41 AM
That's the Ben Askren, if my knowledge serves, it is against Masvidal. I don't know about Askren specializing in wrestling being a problem, in my opinion it is not a problem, Askren got a 19-2 record to back up his reputation although the Masvidal's knee kick really did him good. No matter what we are hoping for, people that support Jake Paul will buy those tickets and other people who wants to watch it will always buy one, one thing that I hope is that it is for charity.
He's definitely known for his wrestling more than his striking. Ben is a very good wrestler in fact, and that's why hes been in with the big names, such as the mentioned Masvidal. The thing is, he's never been known for his boxing...well that's not entirely true, hes been criticized before for being a one dimensional fighter, and relying on his wrestling. Although, I'm not sure how one can criticize that as wrestling is in fact quite versatile, and seems to be the bane of some of the greatest fighters we've seen in the UFC. Its why I think Khabib has been so successful, other than being a fantastic wrestler himself, some of his opponents were known for their striking ability, and not their wrestling.

However, in this fight it comes down to striking. Ben we know didn't have the best striking in the MMA scene, but that doesn't mean hes going to be bad when compared with Jake. Looking at Jake he has decent technique, but that will go out of the window once hes gets pressured by Ben, because Ben certainly isn't going to be afraid of getting tagged. This pressure is what I think will cause Jake the most problems, since he hasn't really been training long enough to solidify that muscle memory which comes from years, and years of practice, especially when your getting hit back.

In all of his fights, he hasn't been hit back, so we really don't know what to expect once he does. For anyone thinking that Ben simply won't land, I personally think they are overlooking Ben. Ben will catch Jake, and he will be a test despite his apparent lack of ability striking.

For the sake of MMA saving face, I'm really hoping that Ben puts Jake away early in the fight. However, Jake likely won't just disappear, he'll just say he lost to a professional fighter. Its a win, win for Jake. Whereas, all Ben benefits from this is the money involved, which is likely swayed heavily in Jake's favour, since a few other fighters like Bisping were also approached, and made counter offers.
3575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: February 02, 2021, 12:01:43 AM
At the end of the day, Ben is a professional fighter that's been tested extensively over his period of fighting. Hes a decent fighter, maybe not someone to get overly excited about, but hes not going to be a pushover. The concerning part is; hes not predominantly a striker, and has spent most of his time wrestling, and has been beaten convincingly in the stand up game. However, we don't really know how well Jake is at throwing hands. At the end of the day, he's fought another Youtuber, and a basketball player. He's looked good I guess, but its easy to look good against those that haven't trained for longer than him. The basketball player did not look like he had a clue on how to fight, how to gauge distance or anything really. It was comical, although you'd expect that, at his profession Basketball he would have schooled Jake. So, what I'm trying to say is Ben wasn't the best striker in MMA, but he was against other professional fighters, and its always harder than being in a fight with a Youtuber. I think the whole MMA scene is hoping that Ben doesn't lose, or at least not convincingly.

I just can't see him losing convincingly. He's a professional fighter, and has taken a few beatdowns in his life that's for sure. However, I don't think Jake will have the power, or the volume to bother Ben in that regard. This fight is determined whether or not Ben can land punches. If he can, I think Jake will be the one in trouble, if not Ben's going to have an headache, as I absolutely cannot see him getting knocked out by Jake.

I haven't checked the odds yet, and I'm not even sure I'm going to watch this event yet. However, I suspect that Ben might have some decent odds despite his professional background?
3576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 01, 2021, 11:52:43 PM
Fighting 'tough' fighters isn't the best game plan for him right now, but I don't think there's anyone in his division that he can't beat on a good day except for maybe Khabib. Connor won't be 'busted' after another loss but it's doing damage to his brand for sure and needs a win to bring back faith in him. IF he loses his next fight I'm sure his PPV numbers will start to dwindle, but the last fight was the second highest PPV buys in history second only to his fight against Khabib. Even if he loses his next fight hype can always be built for rematches with several people like Diaz, Aldo, Poirier etc. I think Poirier trilogy will be his best next bet and the easiest fight to get done. Neither of them deserve a title shot right now and both seem willing to fight again and Poirier knows this fight will be his biggest payday. McGregor still gets the PPV draws so he's far from done. If he does take the Poirier rematch and loses that isn't going to be a good look though. He really needs to win that one. If McGregor does get back in form maybe someday down the line he can meet Khabib again which would almost certainly break UFC records. One or both of the fighters could bow out after that one.
Yeah, I don't think Conor will never be truly "done", however his flamboyant attitude does seem to have been watered down a little since his previous fights, and to be honest I quite like  that side of him. However, the reason Conor brings in so many PPVs, and fans from all walks of life is maingly due to his attitude to other fighters, but not only that he's been known to deliver on the night also. Casual fans, and dedicated ones will often quote his "who the fook is this guy" line. When you think of Conor you think of trash talking, for example his fight between him, and mayweather the press conference before that was comedy gold. Now, Conor only really showed respect to Poirier, but are we going to see Conor continue along that path, or will he revert to his usual tactics, and put on a show? He's a fantastic fighter, and I love his style. I'm actually a big fan of him, but I have questions of whether he wants to be there fighting, and I know that he's stated that he's looking to fight multiple times in the UFC this year, but I'm not sure if there's any weight behind that.

I do think he needs to fight a tough opponent next though, just because I'd like him to prove the doubters wrong, and partially prove me wrong too. I want to see Conor at his best, because I don't think anyone can argue otherwise, he's very exciting to watch, but also does a lot of good for mixed martial arts.

In that weight class, there's several tough fighters, and the reason why I think its important for him to go for a tough fight, is you'll quickly get left behind in the division otherwise, because its absolutely rammed full of talent.

That's not to say Conor will disappear, but as a fan of Conor I want to see him wanting to prove everyone wrong, and becoming the best fighter he can be, because that's when us fans will be in for a treat.
3577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 30, 2021, 06:12:09 PM
^  Sandhagen is pretty good, but that price.  He’s like 1.23ish in most books.  So unless you’re willing to lay that kind of chalk, it’s better to pass or bet on the underdog.  Frankie Edgar is no joke.  The match could be closer than what the lines are showing us.
I haven't checked the odds admittedly yet as its a bit too far away for m, but I'll likely be putting it down as a Sandhagen by decision which should bolster the odds a little bit, at least it usually does quite nicely. The thing is when I'm usually super confident on a fighter, that's usually when they end up getting beat in embarrassing fashion, so wanted convincing otherwise!

I'm still sticking with my 30-27 prediction, for anyone reading this DO NOT back based on my over confidence, I'm simply quite biased towards Sandhagen.

How so are my posts shady? Wanting to acquire a Paxful account for my business is shady? That is what this forum is for, the marketplace is simply to help facilitate business transactions in a variety of different niches/markets including the sale of exclusive accounts on idiosyncratic platforms. That is simply my goal to acquire a Paxful account and in doing so I want to make sure I conduct proper due diligence and use safeguards to circumvent fraud when necessary.
Purchasing accounts that require KYC is indeed fraud. Basically, anyone that sells those accounts have registered either using their details, or have used someones elses. You purchasing one of these accounts, means you are actively looking for a way to acquire the account, without it being tied to your identity, and instead someone elses. Now, it sounds like you want to be the buyer of such an account, which means that you don't even know who is selling it, and what documents they have used to verify the accounts, which could mean they are committing identify theft, and also by extension you are committing fraud.

If you want an account, then you can register it yourself with your own documents, that you rightfully own.
3579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 29, 2021, 07:17:13 PM
Anyone willing to point out to me why I shouldn't be backing COry Sandhagen as much as I am? I only see this fight going one way, ignoring the chance of any lucky shots. Cory has always impressed me in fights, even when he appears to be struggling he has a certain volume that's just fun to watch. I think he's going to out pressure his opponent, and wear him down across the three rounds.

I don't see a knockout in this fight,  but its going to be a war right until the end. I honestly think we could see a 30-27 win by Cory. This might just be because I'm biased as I love him as a fighter, but I just don't seen a Edgar win (obviously every fighter in MMA has a chance of winning).
3580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What makes ledger nano special on: January 29, 2021, 01:58:11 PM
I think it's because only the security chip is closed source (according to what people say) so it's worth the risk to them.
Which is basically the same as operating a wallet on a computer, as most mainstream computer manufacturers have closed source hardware. The only real difference is Ledger is created for Bitcoin, and you could potentially be concerned that they have more of an interest in Bitcoin, therefore the potential of compromising the device specifically for Bitcoin could be more of a concern.

That's obviously speculation, but generally no one is completely using open source software or hardware so you always have a slight unknown about any device you use. Ledger has a record of overwhelming positive reviews, so you could suggest that these concerns are largely unwarranted.
