I pointed them at the 'asic minertube' address.

When I go to my workers page it says one worker active. Though both seem to be doing their thing.

Welcome to the pool.

You don't want to point your S9's to the the minertube address.

Quoted from OP on page 1

"If you have an Asicminer Tube, you will need to mine to:
stratum+tcp://nonce.kano.is:27181
It won't work properly on any other mining port. Don't point normal miners here.
Your Tube miner stats will show up in your account without their worker name."

Here is a list of pool nodes you want to point to Depending on your physical location:

There are other nodes located around the world that you may be closer to:
stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333 (NewYork)
stratum+tcp://uk.kano.is:3333 (London)
stratum+tcp://de.kano.is:3333 (Germany)
stratum+tcp://jp.kano.is:3333 (Japan)
stratum+tcp://sg.kano.is:3333 (Singapore)

You can find this info under miner configuration in the OP page 1.

As for your stats. Did you create an account with a username? You can seperate the miners by adding .1, .2 to the end of your workername.

Hope that helps

3602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: May 05, 2018, 09:25:44 AM

I mined 5200   and 6600

the 5200 coins were hodl

most of the 6600 I sold from 00000450 to 00000620

So all the sales paid for power and the  5200 are my fingers crossed they just sit in a rvn wallet.

I got lucky with some gear sales  sold gear at an okay price when coins were 8000 usd.   coins are now 9700  so  my 4000 in sales = 4850 not bad.

Nice, always good to be on the right side of profits.

I'm still filling my fingers crossed bag. It helped when diff dropped super low the last couple weeks, but I noticed the surge the last few days cutting me back down to size.

It appears there are either a lot of people mining it from auto switching algos, or just jumping ship from others due to asics. Either way I've covered some running costs and will keep going for at least 2 more weeks.

I will admit it is nice to mine something where I get a pile of coins; even if the price isn't much yet.

Not going to lie price seems pretty steep, but that's up to you. Is Shipping included in the price?

Can you retake 1 of the photos with your username and the date handwritten on a piece of paper? This helps prove you have the units and it's not a photo grabbed from the internet.

Are you willing to accept trusted forum escrow?

3604  Other / Meta / Re: New feature for Marketplace on: May 05, 2018, 06:16:56 AM

Everyone should be aware that is a sign of a likely scam. Also, use the trust system to alert other people and always check untrusted feedback that is hidden by default.

I guess I can't help it, with a background in safety, and having kids; I like to idiot proof the world. I hate the idea of anyone making a red cent(or regional equivalent) from scams/theft.

If you are suspicious leave feedback as well to reinforce what is already there in this case.

Done, I had raised this issue(untrusted feedback) before and it has been pointed out that most people do not read the untrusted feedback. Of course making that more visible gives every Tom, Dick and Shady the ability to slander whoever they want. So as usual no easy fixes; but is doing nothing else really better.
3605  Other / Meta / Re: Share your thoughts : sMerit Review, Rank-Up Challenge, Signatureless Campaign on: May 05, 2018, 06:10:04 AM
Honestly I used most of the threads out there, and started my own after thinking a little more about feedback I received from Bill.

I specifically wanted to Merit users who were providing assistance to others, through hardware or technical advice. One of the best things that I think came out of this, was the amount of copy/pasters that have been removed from the forum. Essentially these people thought nothing of showcasing there theft of others ideas and have now been removed. I noticed this also occurred with Bill's thread to answer the question below.

Does my thread accomplish more than allowing an avenue for users to beg for merit constantly?

On top of that I think you provided fair and accurate feedback to users which they could either use to better themselves, or accept their rank and fate.

Can there be a thread in the marketplace that involves merit/post-quality?

While I don't think they the threads should have been moved to off-topic, I can see why Meta wouldn't be the place either. I would maybe call this thread Volunteer, if people have objections to a board being created specifically for the purpose of Merit.

3606  Other / Meta / New feature for Marketplace on: May 05, 2018, 04:41:53 AM
So every now and then I like to scroll through the Marketplace, to window shop, and ask the basic questions to prove validity of the Merchandise.

1 thing that pisses me off is when I see an Offer of goods, in a locked thread with no option to respond; sometimes a self moderated thread is just as bad.. This is generally a scam. Here is an example

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3545002.0

Now the OP covers one of my questions which would be a picture with username and date, but makes no mention of Escrow. I have not contacted them but it was an example I came across this evening.

What I would like the ability to do is link a new thread to that one, so that it stays either below or above it at all times. This way you could post a title that specifically points to that thread and has questions you want answered or the responses you receive from communications with the OP.

I get it the Forum does not actively fight against scams, but some members here chose to try and prevent this from becoming a thieves den.

And yes it won't be perfect, but only in the same sense that any troll can spam a thread anyways, or leave retaliatory feedback.

Guys can you please give me your wisdom,I am thinking of buying 15 more T9+, should I wait first to see if there will be released any new models in June or should I just buy them now anyway?

I guess that really depends on what your electricity rates are. Where your located? If you have higher electricity rates you will want to just buy a few less units but maybe go for an Avalon 841 or S9 whatever your preference is. I guess it also comes down to if you are using coupons or not.

3610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [crime] Thumbs up for the balls it takes, thumbs down for being a dirty thief on: May 05, 2018, 03:14:21 AM
So this story keeps getting more interesting.... to only me maybe.

He claims to have been able to travel and leave Jail because his "order of detention" had expired and a judge postponed 24 hours in issuing a new one. Not sure what an order of detention is, but I guess it has to do with the fact that there was no evidence and he hadn't been charged.

https://www.coindesk.com/alleged-bitcoin-miner-thief-says-he-was-held-without-evidence/

Turns out his arrest happened on the 24th of April in Amsterdam, while he was trying to negotiate returning to Iceland as a free man.

https://www.coindesk.com/big-bitcoin-heist-suspect-arrested-in-the-netherlands/

In reading more articles about this guy, if he was involved he seems more likely the fall guy than the mastermind. There have been a few stories that assume he worked with an international crime ring to quickly send the Miners out of country. His prior rapsheet is small time, so maybe he mentioned the farm to someone who knew someone higher up the chain, or maybe he's Kaiser Soze.
3611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Happy New Years! Seventh alt coin thread! on: May 04, 2018, 01:48:33 AM

Raven needs to take off to save me.

Well it hasn't taken off but it did finally get another nice bump in price, alongisde BTC so that was nice. I finally sold a little to cover my electricity for the last month and cover the next couple of weeks. I don't think there will be any massive surge for a few months anyways, the devs are moving slow and steady without a rush to pump the price.

If I remember you hit your second sell ceiling? unless you changed them up.

Done!

Good luck with your sales.
The image probably didn't post because I think you have to be a junior member or above. Can't remember. I quoted it so maybe it will show

Glad I only had the t9+ down long enough last night to get the problem dashboard out and find the problem.
Always good to be full power on a block day.

Gonna look into mining i bought a few on crypto-bridge but paid to much smh hope it goes back to the 600 sat lol im going to start accumulating for december. No reason for that month just in case crypto goes extra bananas like last year  Grin

Yeah I'm planning on holding long term on this one. I generally transfer about 10% every week or so to have some available for a good sale price just to cover electricity, on a good price spike.
3615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 03, 2018, 07:11:31 PM
how much do you mine a day?

I'm currently mining about 150 a day. I haven't really paid that much attention recently might have gone up or down, may have been pool luck. I have 5 stock rx 570 cards. It's nice because difficulty is pretty low right now.

You can join the discord group there is a bot  setup to tell you estimated earnings
3616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 03, 2018, 06:31:06 PM
So last night I sold about 25% of what i had. This covers my electricity so far and for the next couple weeks. That was at 469; would have been nice to wait until 500+ but you never now the right time.

So time to jeep up the hodl, and the mining

You can always just take pictures of the boxes fully intact.
Not much but it shows you have something.

Or open the top of the box leave everything inside and take a photo. You probably aren't going to get any bites if you don't provide some sort of proof.

You wouldn't believe the amount of scams this space has seen.
3618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for resources to learn about GPU mining on: May 03, 2018, 12:44:55 PM
You must be looking for advanced features. Consider reading articles about scripting. You could write scripts to monitor your entire rig and automatically calibrate overclock settings depending on temperature or other factors.

Thanks I'll see what i can find. I'm also trying to find more information on what the extra commands that people put in their batch file mean/do.
3619  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer T9+ problem-hash rate drops on: May 03, 2018, 05:28:25 AM
I finally got around to opening up the machine. Once I figured out the trouble board I opened things up. Pretty simple I just unplugged the fan and disconnected the hashboard. It slid right out and it was easy to notice the scorching on one of the heatsinks. Just emailed Bitmain with my findings, waiting to see what's next.

*snip*

Do you have a garage available?? If it has a window and a vent in the attic that would be as good a place as any. When I started I just ran an ethernet cable out to mine. I only move them inside in the winter when I need the heat.
