Glad that I won't have to personally pick the winners here, there's a lot of strong entries for the content team to sort through!  Tongue

I think there’s an error with my second entry, It’s Woodie’s entry and not mine please check it. Thank you.

@Johnyz - Good call, great spot! I think I added your name but then skipped down one entry to Woodie's, I've updated the sheet now.

P.s. Sorry for my bad English, but I tried...

@an@sha - No need for apologies, your English is very good! Thanks for joining in our competition!  Smiley

P.S I'm writing a white paper with this notion for a stablecoin I'm working on.

@iphro - That's very cool, I'd love to have a read if you could send us a link when you have it published! Stablecoins have been growing in popularity recently, at least as far as the press coverage I've seen. What were your thoughts on the recent Tether controversy?

Morning all,

Hope you had a good weekend!  Smiley

@SyGambler - Thanks for getting in touch, and sorry that this frustrating issue still hasn't been tracked down. I'll try and get an update from our sportsbook team who were investigating the reports from yourself and a couple of other players.

Why no outright market on cricket world cup? I am disappointed to see, even no fancy markets for cricket world cup like top bowler or batsmen.
There must be many market for Cricket world cup so we can place bet there. It's not any small tournament.

@deadley - This is something I'm chasing up at the moment, I'm assuming we'll be getting outrights closer to the event, but I'd like to see them up ASAP so I know what I can work with competition-wise. I'll let you know when I receive an update.

@themrhook - Apologies for the delay, I've been informed that your checks are complete and your withdrawal should be processed soon. If you experience any further delays then please send me a PM with the details and I'll escalate to one of our support team leads.

In other news, there's still time to celebrate our blogiversary and win your share of a 0.21 BTC prize pool! Head over to the competition thread now to join in the fun!

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Morning all!

Back in the office after the long weekend, so I've just updated the sheet with the entries since Friday. Thanks to everyone who's submitted entries since then!

Some amazing suggestions for future content so far, some that our blog team haven't even considered! One of my colleagues is already getting excited about writing on a couple of subjects in particular, but I'll keep those quiet until we announce the winners (plus he won't get to pick them all)  Wink

I've personally enjoyed seeing the suggestions about the applications of blockchain technology outside of the gambling world, but I don't think i'll be getting a vote  Tongue

Keep 'em coming!

I still cannot comprehend what just happened last night and I don't think anyone expected a blowout win like that. Raptors were down almost 30pts mid 4th quarter. Shocked Embiid was struggling with a knee injury, last night throwing windmill dunks. Jeez

After this performance tonight, it will be difficult to wager versus them on Sunday especially since it is a home game.

This game was such a huge momentum swinger...

I thought I was used to the pain of seeing Raptors choke in the playoffs, but each time it hurts just like the first time  Roll Eyes Wink

That game was particularly bad though. It was like they just collectively gave up half way through.

Going back to my rule of avoiding bets on my favourite teams:

🏀 Bucks to win (2.14)
🏀 Nuggets +3.0 (2.18)
🏀 Rockets v GSW - Total points Over 220 (1.80)

What are people thoughts on the Raptors chances?

Do you think you will be lucky like you are for Quinton de Kock.

I am having this feeling today that I want to gamble, I know something is saying me that don't coz you (me) will lose but not sure if I can have that control today. :-P

Russell is probably one of my favourite players in the IPL, so I always get over confident with him  Wink

If you feel like a cheeky bet you can always take advantage of our new minimum stakes, all the lines I listed have a minimum of 0.0000001 BTC (€0.00051) so I don't feel as bad betting on wild odds Smiley

I'm not really sure about today's game, both teams have had some terrible form but both will also be scrambling for points to try and draw level with SRH for the 4th playoff spot.

One thing I'm looking forward to is the batting head to head between Rahul and Russell if they both start (getting a little confused about who's already left for the World Cup).

- Andre Dwayne Russell total: Over 25.5 (1.92)
- Total sixes: Over 13.5 (1.90)
- Team with highest score at 1st dismissal: Kings Xi Punjab (1.72)

Going for the over on total sixes today as there's some big hitters in the field  Smiley

Our latest Champions League blog is out for the second leg of the semi final games!

I'll share the Liverpool v Barca bit here to save you a click (but don't tell the blog team)  Wink

"Liverpool were unlucky to fall to such a heavy defeat at the Nou Camp in the first leg, and unlucky to have to face Messi at all. The Argentine was in magnificent form, swinging the tie in Barca’s favour in the last 20 minutes by subtly repositioning himself more centrally and popping up in the gaps between Liverpool’s defence and midfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side should have scored a crucial away goal when Mohamed Salah hit the post, and indeed they matched their opponents in almost every area. The one regret Liverpool will have is starting Gini Wijnaldum up front. That opening 20, in which Liverpool pressed assertively, felt significant – but without Roberto Firmino linking Sadio Mane and Salah together the visitors lacked a cutting edge.

Firmino should return for the second leg and, with the Anfield crowd behind them, it will certainly be another even contest in terms of possession and quality. Barca’s huge advantage is unlikely to be overturned, but Anfield has produced some miraculous matches in recent history and it is not inconceivable that the English side could race into an early two goal lead.

More likely, Liverpool will attack confidently but leave too much open space on the counter-attack for Messi and Luis Suarez. Barcelona could have scored twice from breaks in the closing stages of the first leg, and that pattern will repeat itself when Liverpool become desperate. Consequently the total goals market is worth a look, and since there is little value in backing Barca to qualify, a win in 90 minutes for Klopp’s side is more attractive."

- Total Goals: Over 3 (1.88)
- Liverpool to win (2.02)

What do you think? I can see Liverpool winning the game at home unless they get caught on the break for being too reckless (given the goals needed), but to progress Barca have to be the clear favourites. I can't see Liverpool keeping a clean sheet even if they win which is going to make life even more difficult for them.

I've just gone through and added all the entries to the spreadsheet - thanks to everyone who has joined in so far!

Some really strong requests already, but I'm not going to mention any favourites yet in case it influences future entries  Wink

Don't forget we are ideally looking for crypto-related content suggestions, however we will be looking at all the entries and judging them on their own merit.

Seeing Pandey hitting a 6 off the last ball of the SRH innings to force a super over was amazing. Glad MI won but hats off to SRH for a great performance. If they had Warner it could have been a very different story given how close it was without him.

Putting the Night King's death aside. Did anyone know where Bran went when he warged away in front of Theon by the weirwood tree?

Bran - I am going now.

Theon - Where?

Bran - To watch Avengers: Endgame.

I think I'm going to always bet on de Kock from now on. He hasn't let me down yet!  Grin

The run rate seems a bit low compared to other MI games though, SH could be in with a chance if their batsmen step up.

@Ronnie your theory won’t work because Cersei is a smart woman and she knows attacking them in Winterfel is sucidal, she won’t repeat the same mistake that Stannis made.

That's a very good point.

It will be interesting to see how much of the Northern army actually survived the battle of Winterfell, we mostly just saw named characters at the end of the episode and most of the bulk of the troops seem to have already been wiped (the Dothraki for example).

I could see Cersei attacking if she had surprise and numbers on her side, especially if it was while the Northern army is still broken and exhausted.

Damn I can't wait for the next episode  Grin

^ I just checked the odds and it looks like we have new markets!

The North being independent is interesting, as is the number of dragons left at the end of the series - personally I'm expecting both dragons to fall before the end.

477  Economy / Games and rounds / 📖🎂 [Closed for New Entries] Cloudbet’s Bitcoin Blogiversary Competition 🎂 📖 on: May 02, 2019, 01:13:58 PM

Today the Cloudbet Blog turns one year old, and to celebrate our first blogiversary, we are running a competition to see which articles have captured your interest this year, and what you’d like to see us writing more about in the year ahead!

That’s right crypto fans, Cloudbet is back with another free-to-enter competition for our Bitcointalk and Twitter followers, and this one comes with a whopping 0.21 BTC (€1000) prize pool to split between 3 lucky winners!

Entering the competition is easy as losing money on shitcoins!  Wink

Simply post below with:

- Your favourite crypto-focused Cloudbet blog article from the past year?
- The crypto article you would like to see our expert team write next!

This could be anything you’d like to know more about; from the details of specific cryptocurrency networks, to guides on altcoin trading - nothing is off the cards!

If you prefer to enter via Twitter, that’s fine too! Simply tweet your entry @Cloudbet including the #CBBlogBday tag which will be used for tracking entries.

Entries close on Monday 13th May, and we’ll pick our 3 favourite entries as winners to announce the following day on Tuesday 14th May.

The three winners will each receive 0.07 BTC, and will have their article idea written up and published over the next few weeks by our team of experts at the Cloudbet blog - how’s that for content on demand?!  Cheesy

General Rules:

- Maximum 3 entries per account.
- Entries should answer both questions.
- All accounts must be over 7 days old to participate (sorry newbies!)
- Keep it clean!  Wink

We listened to all the community feedback after our last competition, so this time entries will be restricted to Bitcointalk and Twitter accounts that are at least 7 days old. If you spot any accounts or entries that you are concerned about then please send us a DM with the information (rather than derailing the thread with accusations).

To see the full terms and conditions, visit the Cloudbet blog here

The public spreadsheet containing all entries can be found here

Good luck!  Grin

478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 02, 2019, 10:05:23 AM
Series is tied now for the Blazers and the Nuggets, Jokic was not a big factor tonight, he was defended well but I think this series could go longer.
CJ was the best player tonight, he really shots well while Lillard has struggle, it was indeed a physical game and it what makes the series more fun to watch.
Most of the brackets are in tie now except GSW vs Houston Rockets.

Then tomorrow it will be 76ers vs Toronto Raptors. Who's going to bet with this match?

Going with the Raptors tonight, it's going to be a close game so I think there's a bit of value to be had with -3.0 (2.21)

Total points averaged 193 over the last two games, so Under 215.5 (2.08) is also looking good.

Looking forward to today's match, I love when it gets to the end of the season and everyone is fighting for the top playoff spots!  Grin

Going with a comfortable win for the Mumbai Indians today, they are fighting to confirm their 3rd place finish and will hopefully be hungry for victory. Sunrisers will be without their main man Warner due to World Cup preparations, and the rest of the batting lineup have been inconsistent to say the least.

- Quinton de Kock total: Over 23.5 (1.92)
- Sunrisers Hyderabad Total Runs after 10 overs: Under 72.5 (2.46)
- Total sixes: Under 13.5 (2.04)

The Sunrisers total runs bet is an outside chance, but without Warner I'm feeling lucky  Wink

If anyone has questions about specific lines, our margins, or backing/laying your bets then please let me know!

Morning all, hoping all you fellow cricket fans might be able to help me out with something...

I'm currently planning to host a competition for the Cricket World Cup - free to enter with bitcoin prizes up for grabs.

The idea was to run a basic match predictor, or bracket prediction competition, but we have done a few of those already and I was looking for a slightly different take on the format.

My question is - are there any particular aspects of cricket games that you prefer to bet on other than the money line?

Run Rate, fall of wickets, amount of boundaries, etc? I'd like to go with something a bit more fun than the usual 'who will win game x?' tournament.

I know I'm basically asking you to do my job for me but hey  Roll Eyes
