561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 20, 2023, 04:13:28 PM
I almost lost my bet on Denver since I thought they wouldn't have a good run in the 4th quarter. The Timberwolves were huge in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Nuggets by 17 points. Luckily, the Nuggets conserved enough energy to have a strong 4th quarter, and they won by 9 points, which was enough to cover my bet of -8. It's definitely something to celebrate!

Same here, spread went through smoothly. That rally made in 3rd quarter gave me a mini heart attack because I thought that the Wolves can even the series but it seems that the Nuggets are still in control. I have a feeling that the Nuggets might sweep the Wolves because their two big man is not really working well, they got huge rebounds but that is not enough to cover their mistakes. Jokic as always playing good as their big man but the highlight in that game is Murray with 40 humungous points.

The Golden State Warriors are back home and they will host the game 3, this will be interesting because they are now playing where they are strong and hard to defeat. It will be an interesting game to see if the Kings can still penetrate through the Warriors defense. I'll be betting on this in live, for now, the Warriors are the favorite with -6 handicap.

Key Injuries:
GPII -      questionable (illnes)
Wiggins - questionable (shoulder)
Poole -     questionable (ankle)
Green -       out
Iguoudala - out

While for the Sacramento Kings, there are no listed probable/questionable/out. So it means that Sabonis will play despite being listed as probable the other day.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 19, 2023, 07:38:59 PM
^^ Yeah, same with the Grizzlies game, it was very close until Ja Morant went out and it changes the game for them. Of course, we will give credit to the Lakers for taking the game 1 at Memphis, Hachimura can't missed on the 3 point line.

And then what can we say? Reaves is quiet the first two quarters even missing a easy shot in the first quarter which he usually make. But in the 4th he takes over the game and the Lakers fan love him.

So there are two upsets tonight, Lakers over Memphis and then the Heat taking advantage of Giannis winning this one.

Yes, even if the Los Angeles Lakers had a much easier way in the fourth quarter because of Ja Morant's hand injury, we can't discredit Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura's presence in the court because they were a vital key and the main reasons why the Lakers owned the 1st game vs the Memphis Grizzlies. Well, AD and LeBron was good as expected but the key players was the highlight in this game.

That makes 3 upsets, Lakers defeated Grizzlies, Heat defeating the Bucks, and there are the Clippers who defeated the Suns as well.

And with that, it seems that the Memphis Grizzlies are not ruling out Ja Morant's playing in game 2. I wouldn't say that  this is a must win for them, but they don't want to dig a deeper hole against Lebron and the Lakers going into their homecourt with a 2-0 lead against them. So if there is by chance then Morant will have to show up in this game. It seems that every playoff though he got injured himself and so we are not seeing the full potential of his Memphis Grizzlies although they are not complete because 2 of their players are sideline already.

Even before the Lakers won game 1, I already thought that the Lakers are just too much for the young Memphis team. Now, they have proven that they are the better team, and with the situation of Morant, the Lakers could potentially have an edge. Even if Memphis wins game 2, and the Lakers win games 3 and 4, Memphis will still be in a big hole as only a few teams have come back from a 3-1 deficit.

It can happen that way or the young Memphis will use this as a good inspiration to win the game. Morant-less can be a good advantage for the Lakers, as the main gunner / scorer really affects the offense of their opponents.

Time for everyone to step up and provide numbers to cover what they'll possibly missed while Morant
is still in question if he will play in game 2.

They definitely wouldn't let this chance slide and take advantage of the Grizzlies situation while their big man is still out, Steven Adams, so does Clarke and of course with Morant's absence, it will definitely affect the team's confidence as their star player is needed in both offense and defense especially against a team with more experience like the Lakers.

The Memphis Grizzlies will be in a tough position and defending the Lakers will be a challenge for them, anyway, I'm looking forward on how will they play this game without some of their cores on the hardwood. Still an interesting game to see though.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: April 19, 2023, 06:38:41 PM
As for the Haney vs Loma fight, the odds hasn't move a bit, Loma is still a 3:1 underdog.

As expected, Loma is still the big underdog here. Everyone is likely rooting for Haney to get an easy win because he is the younger and stronger fighter, so there should be no problem winning. However, I love surprises, so I want Loma to shock Haney and prove to him that he hasn't fought a technically skilled fighter as good as him.

Is 'shock' really the appropriate term? LOL. I think that word is used when one is not expected to win, and although Loma is quite the underdog here, he is capable of winning. Perhaps he will surprise the doubters, but the believers won't be shocked because they trust Loma to bring his A-game in the biggest fight of his career this year.

I share your reaction. Why should Loma's win be shocking? Loma has a bigger name than Haney. There is a reason for it. Loma has become a legend because of what he's capable of inside the ring. Admittedly, Haney is much younger, bigger, has reach advantage as well, but I think Loma's speed is still with him despite his age. I think Loma is not rusty yet as a fighter. It is still very possible that he can actually outpoint Haney.

Let's see if Loma is not really in his prime anymore. Haney is hyped for this fight, he is undefeated and his style is hard to defeat, but Loma is still a great boxer. His background in boxing, even from his early years before turning pro, is very impressive already. Let's wait and see.

As per speculations, there's really no clarity whether Loma is already past his prime or not even if his age suggests that it's not yet over but judging from his previous fight, the one when he return from inactivity because of the war, he's not that kind of Loma anymore that we used to know. We surely don't know what happened but I hope he was just adjusting and what we saw in his recent fight wasn't his present form because if ever that was it, I'd say that Devin Haney will definitely win without a doubt.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 19, 2023, 06:03:18 PM

I am also curious if the light-handed Fulton will try to become the aggressor against the heavy-handed speedster just like what he did against Brandon Figueroa.

That would not happen as he understands how powerful Inoue's punches are. If he makes a mistake, he might get knocked out, and that would be embarrassing. No fighter in this division can go toe to toe against Inoue. They should use a strategy where they have an advantage, and it's certainly not becoming the aggressor of the fight.

It's much better for Fulton to observe Inoue first and try his chance to once he feels that he can take Monster's solid combinations.
but being aggressor I think that's not a good idea.

Knowing how solid those punches and how strong Inoue it will be, a fight with good strategy and not just to engage with a toe-to-toe confrontations.

Fulton's camp might study Inoue already and they are preparing for a good plan to execute.

I agree and I believe that Steph Fulton's camp are already ruling out the chance of being the early aggressor as they know that doing that will be an expensive mistake, they might be the ones who will receive the surprise by doing so, it might be a high reward kind of style if they can pull it successfully but what if they can't, an image of mistake will tail Steph Fulton until he climbs the next division and will gradually depreciate his value because of that risky move.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 19, 2023, 05:25:41 PM

How would he play if he didn't practice, probably the injury is really serious and it requires more time to heal before he can return. Well, the current line up of the Bucks I think is capable of winning at home.

The bookies had already factored in the possibility of him not playing and didn't make a significant adjustment to the point spread. The home team is capable of winning even without their starting player. Both teams were missing a starter, so the game must go on, and we should not complain about the outcome if the Bucks lose, as the game is not over yet.

If Giannis misses game 2, he will likely be available in game 3 and may try to help the Bucks win both games on the road.

Of course, these bookies are always steps ahead so that they can take advantage of the game and make the bettors confused about the odds that they will give. Anyway, the Bucks are still favored by the bookies and not going to lie, the remaining roster can still be a challenge and a big problem for the Miami Heat even if let's say Giannis will not be around with the team in the Game 2. I will look and bet on this game live for precautions because either way, Bucks are still the favorites.

Denver Nuggets -8.5 vs Minnesota Timberwolves
(Key Injuries: Nikola Jokic, Jaylen Nowell and Rudy Gobert are questionable)
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 18, 2023, 10:34:47 PM
Please correct me if I am wrong
Even in today's modern world, except for a few people in Europe-America, the general public of the entire world does not have a proper understanding of Bitcoin. Sad Sad Except European-American, anyone who have a little idea about Bitcoin also have misconceptions. Due to this problem, many people are unable to invest in a great platform like Bitcoin even if they want to. This problem may not seem like a big deal to many, but think about third world countries. A sad reality is, in my country 80-90% of the population are not familiar with Bitcoin.
Is there any way to solve this problem?

Definitely it is not a problem. It is depend on the people if they are eager to learn in understanding Bitcoin and other crypto currency. There are a lot of informations available in internet giving free education / awareness on understanding Bitcoin and other crypto currencies. I think it is not misconceptions because getting involve in Bitcoin  you are taking a lot of risk, so some people are being careful before they will invest. There are a lot of testimonials that they had lost so much in investing maybe that is one of the reason why more people do not have guts in investing because they are afraid of loosing their money.
The only way to address your concern OP is to encourage everyone to educate theirselves with the available resources in the internet, that is if they are also eager to learn and use bitcoin for future adoption. Because I believe no matter how we try to educate people around us, as long as they are closed-minded when it comes to bitcoin and the rest of cryptocurrency, they will never really learn and gain awareness about it. At the end of the day, it all depends on the individual’s choice of the people.

568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 18, 2023, 09:08:29 PM
Honestly speaking why would you play on unknown or new gambling site where you can play the same game on the existing gambling site without having a problem? One reason is that they offer something that the existing gambling site don't for instance a opening promotions like free bets and many more. Usually that's the only way they can get players and also not because the gambling site is new it cannot be trusted.
New gambling sites bring new games and promotions that will somehow make us experience something new. But at the end of the day, reputation will always be the number one factor that gamblers will surely stay in a certain gambling site. That’s why if these new sites have a lot of lapses, I don’t think gamblers will return to gamble again. But not all new sites are seen like that, some are just as good and reputable like old gambling sites do.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Females domination in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on: April 18, 2023, 08:42:12 PM
It doesn't matter whether you are male or female because of the fact that Bitcoin was created for all people. Let's not separate this kind of thing and there's really no useful context. Anyone can own Bitcoin, women, men, young and old all have the same position in holding Bitcoin. If we classify Bitcoin ownership only from gender then indirectly Bitcoin is won by male groups. But is that the point? But I really admit that the contribution of women in helping to improve blockchain technology is extraordinary. The list above shows us that women have equal rights in participating in a part of crypto adoption.
With bitcoin, there’s no domination, every individual is given equal rights and opportunity. But we can’t deny that majority that are involved in this volatile investment are men, since men are more interested in new innovations and are more risk taker than women. However, in reality, with bitcoin all are fair. And if men can contribute significant improvements for blockchain technology, I guess women too can do that once they will develop high determination for crypto.
570  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: April 18, 2023, 01:28:23 PM
I was thinking new kind of plan to buy bitcoin every month from my salary immediately my company paids me but I still have other responsibilities to carry with family so am skeptical about it especially now that the price has no direction. If can afford storing every month in a long run I may realizes half of bitcoin unit and that's a big achievement to buy but to you is funny because you have enough of it. So advise me on what to do! Should I hold on because of the instabilities in price? Or I should buy and store? Over to you
Bitcoin is already highly volatile in nature, that’s why it’s price is always not fixed, sometimes it goes up and sometimes the price drops sharply. But it’s never a hindrance for early bitcoin investors as due to high volatility, their investments value have grown so fast and make them instant millionaires. And it might be that history will still repeat itself. However, if you have tight budget this time OP, then you can invest whenever you can. After all, bitcoin’s value will most likely to ascend in the future, so as long as you have invested even a small number of bitcoin, you will still reap a good amount in the future.
571  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 18, 2023, 12:59:16 PM
When you're short on cash, it can be difficult to quit borrowing money.

Everyone has been there. We're short on cash and in a lot of debt, but a cover loan to get out of the red and even improve our readiness is the light at the end of the tunnel.
Most times those who find themselves taking loans, even more than they would have need of or even should they have need of them are those that have not been able to properly make plans and archive them.
I believe there are always options to keep you away from taking loans if one could make proper plans by visualising and speculating when your most likely with a 99% accuracy get your next income or fund and program when or how long it's likely to last or going to exhaust. You have better chances to living a healthy life that keeps you off borrowing. Some people just jump into borrowing because the facility is there and that's a bad way to actually approach taking loans. Its supposedly a last option, a do without and mainly, should be used investments that is sure to bring returns so, you could be able to meet up with the refunds and the interest that might be attached if any.
I have to agree on you that majority of those who resort into borrowing are those who fail to plan ahead of time, and when they know they’re out of budget, they eventually decide to take loans to cover up the budget shortage. However, there are also some of those who can’t get rid from borrowing because they are not making sufficient amount of income to sustain their needs considering that most of the necessities nowadays are having consistent price increase due to uncontrolled inflation. So no matter how they tried to live below their means, they will always end up having financial struggles.
572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you get familiar with threads? on: April 16, 2023, 10:59:17 PM
Most at times I get confuse and stuck when I see some post with strange or unfamiliar threads but at the same time I will see a lot of people arguing the threads and comments. I don't know how wide is crypto currency with exclusive terminologies like nodes, cores, NFt etc. At some point I wonder what I can do to mingle deeply in the discussion and contributions of this hard terms but one can not said something where you have no ideas. That's why I want to know how you get much familiar with all bitcoin technologies? What should I do?
Actually learning takes time. It’s not just a one day learning, but maybe months of reading and understanding the whole crypto set up and how they work in the market. However, when it comes to terminologies used in crypto, everything is explained well in Google so you don’t have to worry on it. Just do your due diligence and you will understand everything about crypto and also never gets tired of researching too as that will add to your crypto understanding.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do women engage in crypto trading on: April 16, 2023, 10:42:18 PM
Most persons may say no but YES is the actual answer
In the ideal sense the dominance of crypto currencies by women is in great progress. Bitcoin is  the most popular crypto currency and therefore a currency of such will be dominated either now or in the future.
Women engage in crypto currency transactions also like men do the reason you may feel they don't is because those that don't have not much idea about it.
As much as men are capable of doing it, women too are also trying to engage in crypto trading but maybe most of them did not last longer with trading compared to men. Though it’s only my assumption as there’s no fixed result from surveys that actually tells that men are gaining utmost advantage in trading than women. But knowing how crypto creates equal advantages to all, if there’s really strong determination and confidence for such women, most likely they will also make it big in trading.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 14, 2023, 03:54:25 PM
Same with the Thunder, they are a young team, but SGA took the pressure in his shoulder, even making 2 free throws down the stretch.

So never underestimate them when betting.
Yes, credits for SGA for taking over that game and left the Pelicans in a speechless state because they got defeated by a young team that is supposed to be tanking this season as well,, but they upset the high caliber players of Pelicans and eliminated them from the play-in tournament.
If I'm not mistaken, they were listed as the underdogs on that game, but I chose to sit on it because I don't know whom to bet as I know it will be a tight game.

Later on, they will face the Timberwolves and the Thunders is again listed as underdogs. This will be interesting to watch and in the East side, it's the Bulls vs Heat.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Champions prediction. on: April 14, 2023, 04:47:57 AM
The Warriors are the defending champions, and their current odds are +1100, which is decent and likely to attract many bets. Additionally, it has been reported that Wiggins has returned and is expected to play in the playoffs, which could boost the team's chances of repeating their victory.

Voted for them already.

The odds is really tempting but they already sacrificed a lot of their good bench players which is responsible for their strong second half last year just to maintain their first 5 line up. Current GSW has a very weak defense and can be destroyed by the team with balance offense and defense like Nuggets and Boston.

GSW might have a good run but this year will gonna be a lot harder compared last year due to their current roster and every team on West is very strong with their complete line-up.

Whether or not they are considered underdogs remains to be seen. During the last playoffs, they may not have been the favorites, but they still won the NBA Finals. Therefore, I believe they deserve more respect now as the defending champions. However, I do understand why people are considering them as underdogs, and I like that perspective. .

Maybe people only look with the current issue that's why they look GSW as underdog, but they also need to realize the the core of this team is still alive and they are dangerous when they are all healthy. We can also add up the return of Wiggins which can give more fire power to this team so I guess this season they still have a chance to get a championship. Just do hope they will not encounter a major injury because this could affect their championship run this season.

Not just their fire power because the Warriors defense will be boosted in Wiggins return as it's quite hard to forget that he was one of the vital defenders of the team.

And regarding about their current betting odds, I'd pretty much view the bookies list as an advantage that we shouldn't waste especially if we believe that they can still reach up to the Finals while they are still listing the Warriors as the underdogs. I mean, that's quite a favor on our side because we already know how dangerous the Warriors can be in the post season.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: April 13, 2023, 07:38:04 PM

I had watched Mayweather's fights, and like you said, he's boring to watch as hell. Like he is more defensive than offensive. You don't see him throwing punches more often, but he is waiting for his opponent to lose his patience, throw punches, and slowly countering him until such time that he can knocked that opponent down.

On the other hand, it's boring, but that made him undefeated in professional boxing (disregard those troll fights where he will fight celebrities). Even the 8-time division champion Pacquiao lost against him (controversial though). How "Tank" Davis fights in the ring is way better than Mayweather even though he mentored him for almost a decade now. Davis got the defensive skills of Mayweather, but at the same time, he's an explosive fighter and throws a lot more, and stronger punches.

Haney and Mayweather's way of fighting is almost the same that's why the fight between Haney and Kambosos Jr. (first fight) became one of the most boring fights I've ever watched to the point that I slept while watching the fight.
In particular, I don't like this when they fight in a technical way, it makes me annoyed, because I see that they don't want to hurt each other and although the fight falls into a purely technical and intelligence sphere, I don't like it, and that makes it look boring, and obviously it is, when I establish a type of analogy with boxing in the Olympics that happens, and it is something that bothers me, I don't know if you Remember the case of the Japanese? that they gave him as the winner and he came out in wheelchairs while the opponent was normal, with normal tiredness but he was much better and for me he fought well, that's what I don't like, and that's how there are boxers.

Many people call Loma a technical fighter, but is he boring? The answer is a big NO. Loma has been entertaining to watch as he slowly dismantles his opponents. He may not be a good starter, but you can see how good he is once he spots the weakness of his opponents. Sometimes, he can even win via knockout. So, against Haney, I wouldn't be surprised if he wins by KO.

Well, everything is possible in this fight as they are both technical enough to have a slow start or even a slow fight and talking about some possibilities, just like Loma's chances, Haney might not be much of an entertaining boxer to watch but he always get what he wanted in every given fight as he slowly tears his opponent down. In other words, this will be interesting to watch as both of them excels in their own technical ways.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 13, 2023, 07:06:34 PM
We never know what will be the outcome we are all expecting from how we speculate the possible outcome.
But it's easy to predict the winner of this fight because the opponent of Casimero is not on his level if we base it on the books.

This would just be a tune-up fight for him, not a big threat that could ruin his career. I'm sure Casimero will not allow that as he will continue to train and make a headline with an impressive win.

People need to view him as a top-level fighter, so eventually, he will get a championship fight in this new division.

I bet he will, maybe next year because there's no hurdle or a stumbling block on his career now like what he have in his previous weight class where almost every fights are not yet sure to push through because his own body is the main problem as it is limiting him to make more fights.

Against this unknown fighter, I got no doubts that he will have a hard time but I sure do hope that he will have an interesting fight as a preparation before he faces the champion of this division. Nevertheless, John Riel Casimero will dominate this fight.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 13, 2023, 05:02:01 PM
But against the Miami Heat, I am in doubt.

Miami had problems too; remember their loss to the Atlanta Hawks, where they got outrebounded big time? I think the Bulls have a chance to beat the Heat too. I mean, they may have some issues, but this is a very important game. Beating the Raptors was already enough to prove that they can work their asses off together and be in the playoffs.

I think Miami is just overrated because they are a team that is consistent in the playoffs. So, we haven't seen their struggles this season.

Yes, what more against the Bulls because if they lost against he Hawks then it's somehow safe to say that they will get their butts beaten against the raging Bulls.

Plus, I think the Heat this season is not that reliable that is why they are seated on the 8th seed and probably will not be consistent in a series game anymore unlike in the past years where they consecutively participate the playoffs without playing in the play-in. Jimmy Butler is not the same Jimmy anymore because even him as the star player is already vulnerable enough.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 13, 2023, 04:19:40 PM
His boss (Oscar) knows well how it is to be only taller but beaten by a faster Manny Pacquaio.

Hilarious! Oscar surely knows that he would not forget a fighter that made him retire from boxing. He was even the big favorite in that fight, so what happened was an upset. He has to make sure to apply that lesson to his boxers, so that it will not happen again, hopefully.

We can't compare Oscar fight against Manny though, we all know that Oscar is already way past his prime and can't pull the trigger against and he was weight drain on that fight.

If there will be fight of Oscar on his prime, if will be against him vs Pernell Whitaker (RIP). That time Pernell is one of the best defensive fighter and we can even compare him to Floyd although Pernell is a southpaw.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PisRGWmSa0s

Not way past his prime because if I'm not mistaken, Oscar Dela Hoya was just 35 years old at that time and he I believe that he could have still dominate the division if Manny Pacquiao wasn't around that time. It's just that he met his fate in the hands of the Filipino champion and learned a lesson to retire much earlier before he will be a clown in the industry for being a trophy for the younger ones.

Los Angeles Lakers defeated Minnesota 108-102 in the match that went to overtime in the qualifying game played last night. There was great contention especially in the last seconds of the match and Dennis Schröder dominated the match in extra time. Although LeBron James was the top scorer of the match, Dennis Schroeder's effective play in overtime contributed greatly to the Los Angeles Lakers winning the game. Who will come from play in in the Western Conference?

The Timberwolves almost got a victory on their behalf but the Lakers was just too persistent in that game because they are also trying to reach the playoffs as they have failed from their run last season. This time with the current line-up they've got, I think they can reach much further but talking about the championship game, they should improve more because what they got is not enough to beat high caliber teams with young and stronger cores. So, we'll see if they can outsmart the Grizzlies in the first round.
