761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: September 23, 2023, 04:59:01 AM
Everything that is excessive can affect not only your relationship but everything in your life like wealth and health but it has a big impact on relationships because you will have no time for your family and all you can think of is how to gamble and where you can find money to gamble.
Many cases of divorce come from betrayal, loss of confidence deception and its roots come from gambling addiction although there are many gamblers who can take care of their family and their relationships with them these gamblers are those who know what their priorities in life and it's not gambling.

The first example I set is when a gambler is always asking for money from their partner and using it to gamble, but yet they don't win, and even if they win, before they return home, they gamble off their small win. If it continues like that, it will definitely cause problems between the two parties. In a situation where the man has refused to handle the important bill and is thereby only gambling with the money, it can still cause issues in the relationship. Again, your partner can ask you to stop gambling because of the habit they have formed in you, but when you don't want to stop, it can still cause issues. Before, I was having issues in my relationship because of gambling, but I did not stop gambling; I only do things more properly, and it's not causing any issues again.
Unless his/her partner has a lot of money, this will not be a problem. But if you were just a average individual who works hard for your money and then your partner just keep asking for it to gamble, then I will say that it will be a big problem indeed.

I have this friends though, when we gamble and let's say my friends partner is winning, and he keeps on getting that win and then he lose in roulette, then I will hear them arguing, lol. Because the girl will reason out that she is winning but my friend just keeps asking for those win and in return he has string of bad luck and so he can't return the money.  Grin

You want news everyone about Dwight Howard's development together with the Golde State Warriors? Here's what we've got.

Warriors Will Not Sign Dwight Howard After Two-Day Visit, per Report

Warriors pass on signing Dwight Howard to maintain roster flexibility, per report

Many thought that it's like 99% of him signing on the current roster of the Warriors but then, that little percentage of failing prevailed.
Ok, I guess the Warriors will have to look for another big man still? Or will tend still contend with the small line up. But I do not think that it will be enough, currently we have big men, like Jokic, Embiid and even Giannis or AD, and with Draymond mostly playing them, it will be hard for the Warriors with the small line up that they have right now.

They don't have the advantage on the speed, their best player is above 30++, no more young legs like Jordan Poole. But maybe they see something in Dwight that will not be perfect fit. Maybe Howard really lost some steps as he himself is also on the twilight of his career.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 23, 2023, 04:20:35 AM
I tried to subscribe to John Riel Casimero's youtube account and I just see some shadow boxing, he really looks solid and fast. And if I'm not mistaken, his body is really built like a tank, small frame but he is stocky perhaps I will compare him to Manny Pacquiao during his prime when he had this shadow boxing in Wild Card gym.

This is the video that I'm talking about: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/mhEZpE-f0iY

Hopefully though, he will have the stamina to last even if it needed 12 rounds. Many sparring rounds so that he will be used to this kind of fast phase and his power will be the same all throughout, just like what Manny had. And Manny said during his first fight with Barrera that he did train many rounds so that you can see his power and his phasing not even slowing down in this fight as he really prepared for it.
764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 22, 2023, 02:09:22 PM

Feels good actually to invest and have a saying to have an investment in crypto and not just an ordinary crypto an Apex one to be precise which is way more cooler.

However, there comes a factor to be considered CAPITAL. Capital stands as a major factor to be considered while investing  however coming to the world of crypto and BTC precisely,  I think small capital won't do this considering the current monetary value for BTC.
Remember  the greater the capital the higher the profit and the higher the risk however considering BTC the risk minimal.

So How Much To Invest??

As I've said earlier, investing  little in BTC now won't give you a tangible profit when the profit comes but its advisable to invest 20- 40% of your capital in my opinion .However as a beginner or newbies, you literally know nothing about investing even if you have an idea you are still new to it so it is advisable to start with little amount to understand how the game is being played before considering any percentage  to add in your investment and this should be strictly  done according to your capital.

This is what I think but I know members with investment knowledge and others with more and deep knowledge could have a best saying but according to me this whati have to offer to newbies  though I'm also a beginner Smiley.
It really depends on how much capital you are willing to risk. It's not late though to invest in Bitcoin, you still have like 6 months or so before the block halving. However, even after the block halving you can still continue to accumulate base on your capital.

Or used the DCA strategy, maybe it will work on your end. Just remember though that is going to be mentally tough to accumulate with small amounts and it might take sometime. So have the mental fortitude to hold and wait for the eventual bull run.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 22, 2023, 01:55:24 PM
Phoenix news is reporting that the Dallas Mavericks made a trade offer to the Phoenix Suns for DeAndre Ayton but it apparently was a very bad offer so they declined. I’m actually glad they did and hope they hold onto him. I think Ayton was a big part of their run for the Finals and with a new coach I’m expecting him to have a big year.
And I don't know who Dallas Mavericks offer though, I mean they already lost some of their good players when they acquire Kyrie, so I doubt that they still have some to offer in the trade.

Good that Ayton remain with the team, I think what he needs is motivation and not criticism as what his former coach do to him. And with a solid line up already, I don't think that the Suns needs to messed up everything as they need Ayton, just like when they had a good run in the finals years ago against the Bucks.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 22, 2023, 01:27:59 PM
There's no problem with vacating the belts for Inoue. The ultimate goal is to win them all to add to his achievements and then fight some challengers before moving up. I'm sure Inoue still has the power and speed to dominate, so moving up at the right time could be one of his priorities once he holds all the belts. Of course, he needs to beat Tapales, who is obviously not as hyped as people are underestimating him.

Inoue does not intend to stay in the bantamweight division for long. So, if he wins this fight, he might just consider a few title defenses. I think one year is already enough to accommodate at least two challengers before he moves up. In fact, I still believe that once he moves up, he will remain the most feared opponent. Great job to Inoue for taking things slowly but consistently. He knows how to make his future plans work, and there's nothing to worry about.
Yes, most likely 1 or 2 fights and once his body matures again at 122 lbs, he might go for another belt at 126 lbs. But not sure if he will be feared though, I mean 126 lbs, there are lot of great champion that might give Inoue a hard time.

But for now, let's see how he will do his unification against Tapales, almost everyone here thinks that Tapales odds are very slim. So maybe we might be talking at how Inoue will win and what round will it end for Tapales.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 22, 2023, 01:12:14 PM

He should be the underdog. I would bet against anyone who thinks he could be the favorite on the betting sites. Just shoot me a PM.

There's no betting odds yes but this site below shows its early prediction of odds.

Quote
Prediction and Odds
[ Early Beta ]
After considering the both the fighters' stats and their performance patterns, the winning odds is calculated to be at 52-48 in favor of Takuma Inoue. Note, this is a very close margin, just barely better than a 50-50 case.

It makes sense, though, as Inoue is the champion, and the odds being very close are not surprising at all. As a fan, I just want to see a great fight, and I'm sure Jerwin is well-motivated to win because he wants to become a champion again. His last win against Wilner Soto is a statement that he has already recovered from two consecutive losses.

I like that odds in the beginning, meaning, it will be Jerwin Ancajas as a slight underdog.
So there could be value in our bets for Ancajas it, of course, it going to be change, but if he is the underdog, then ML will be a great bet already.
And as you have said, Ancajas is going to be motivated here, he knows what the feeling of being a champion already, and so he wants that respect again.
Although his opponent is not that good previously, still it's a moral boosting win for him.

Great odds for both fighters as backers won't have to worry about the value they are getting. Getting 1.85 for the moneyline, at the very least, would be good enough if we are too confident in our pick. Whether it's Ancajas or Inoue who wins the fight, since fans are likely divided 50/50, it should be entertaining to bet on and watch a fight that is sure to be a close contest.
Indeed, it's almost 50/50 here so it means that either has a great chance to win, either Takuma to retain his belt or Ancajas with the strength of his experience and the heavy puncher here, might pull an upset and detrone Takuma in front of his home crowd.

Still months before the fight though, although there are odds already, but I still wanted to see the crypto betting sites that we are more familiar with. And perhaps just a ML will be suffice for us. Although there could be lots of betting options for those who wanted to risk more to win big. But if the odds are like 1.8x, good enough for a ML bet, in my opinion.
768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Elon Musk keep what he said or not? on: September 22, 2023, 12:58:44 PM
Of course not, when have you seen him keep any sane promise, he would probably do something insane and people would say "you won't do that I bet" or something like a wager and he will do it, but when he makes a promise he won't do that for sure. Dude just wanted to give a fake reason to remove it but the reality is that it was a financial hell, accepting bitcoin for 100+ billion dollar company is not simple, amazon tried to do the same and decided not to very quickly. You would require a whole another division of accountants just to take care of the bitcoin parts, along with few lawyers at least to handle all the legal parts of the deal as well. No need to do something so silly just to accept bitcoin.
Besides would Tesla accepting bitcoin again change anything at all? If Amazon accepted bitcoin that would be a game changer as literally overnight we will be able to use our bitcoin to buy in one of the biggest centralized marketplaces that exist with millions of products, but when it comes to Tesla what else do they have to sell other than overpriced cars? To me it makes no difference if they accept bitcoin or not, and I am sure many other people are in the exact same position.
I doubt that they will accept bitcoin again, I mean they did if I'm not mistaken, but suddenly, Elon change his stance and go against bitcoin and then uses Doge as another crypto to hype and that's what happen.

And then later we find out that he sold or at least his company sell their stash of bitcoin in order to buy Twitter this year. Anyone, for me Elon is just a foregone conclusion in bitcoin, and we shouldn't trust this guy again as he has his own narrative behind his so called pro-Bitcoin stance years ago.
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: September 21, 2023, 02:30:48 PM
It means that in today's time, because of the internet, I think the number of those who play gambling via online females has increased because the mobile device is now a necessity and everyone who has a cellphone can download gambling apps on their phones anytime. cellphone using their e-commerce wallets and bank accounts online.
Yes, that's true, increasingly sophisticated technology is currently having a changing impact on gender differences in gambling, where women can gamble like men, especially with the advancement of the internet, offline casinos are becoming less and less popular because currently there are hundreds or even thousands of online casinos that have appeared. every day and has many active gamblers, which may include many female gamblers.

I may not be able to provide statistics on gamblers by gender, but I often see in several places several women gambling while drinking coffee in a cafe and in other places too, I think this shows that women have the opportunity to gamble even in online casinos because what we have seen in offline casinos is only male gamblers who are seen to be very dominant there and now that the times are getting more advanced, all gender differences do not apply in gambling.

It comes as bit of a surprise to me that there isn't more research being done on this topic. From a casino point of view it would make sense to learn as much as possible about your customers to target their preferences more directly. In the gaming industry there is a lot of research being done. A few weeks ago I read that the average person gaming regularly is 33 years old and that there is a 50% female quote among newer gamers. With the rise of female gamers I would expect it to be similar in the casinos. If men are having fun gambling then woman should have too. The question is now if female gamblers are spending similar amounts as the men or if men are the better customers for the casinos. What I know from my personal experience is that woman are usually better at budgeting their finances and can keep a tighter control on expenses.

With the rise of female gamers, females who are earning their own money, definitely there will be a lot more females who will associate with gambling.
Yeah, even in male dominated games like poker, you can see that there are women also who are engage in this sports and maybe we can see them winning in the future as well.

But the reason why I think the casinos are not involving themselves too much with women population is because it is sometimes which is actually very problematic. A man understands what will happen when he puts his money on the line for gambling. Either they get the money back with a little something more or they lose the money. But they are never going to cry about it. The problem with women is that they do not take accountability. All it takes is for one woman to make a stupid video with her iPhone that she got scammed in a gambling situation or casino, and the casino is definitely going to face a lot of backlash.
But I guess women doesn't have that personality to take big risk that's why we haven't seen them in gambling. But for sure this numbers are going to change in the future. Even in the casino's that I have been playing, I have seen women as well playing a lot like their counterpart and they are winning big as well.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 21, 2023, 01:40:18 PM

Going back into the topic about against Tapales, then it would really be a good opportunity for Tapales on hitting two birds on one stone. #1 he would be a unified champion #2 he do able to beat up
the unbeatable monster which its a record that would really be that worth.

Both fighters have an equal opportunity in this bout, but if Inoue were to lose, it could have a significant impact on his future. He may find it challenging to continue moving up in the ranks, as his perceived strength might not hold up. The pressure on Inoue is quite high, with the world cheering for him, so winning this fight is crucial for him.
I think both of them have huge pressures, for Marlon, this is his biggest fight obviously and he wants to bring glory to the Philippines again. For Inoue, he wants to maintain his status in the p4p list and he is fighting again in front of his hometown.

But with his impeccable records of knocking out his opponents, I guess majority here knows that it's a hard task for Tapales to upset Inoue and as someone says, he needs all the luck to be able to pull that.

With luck and hard trainings it might still be possible to put an upset but the chance is too slim, Tapales will be a huge underdog
here since Inoue's winning chance is really high.
Definitely, there is luck here, specially in boxing, as one punch that really change everything. And if that happens, it's going to be a big upset and for sure there will eb a lot of shakeup next in the 122 lbs as Tapales will now be the unified champion.

However, we are just taking about logic here, I mean the record of Inoue, the opposition he face. Everything really points out that he will be the favorite here and most likely accomplished a second unification champion.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 21, 2023, 12:40:42 PM
But there's also the chance that Casimero will right away become mandatory for the WBO or he will fight for an eliminator against #4 or anyone that is available.

The above scenario will most likely to happen if he comes back to MP Promotions because rumors had it that Manny or Sean Gibbons have sent notice to Quadro Alas if he is interested in being back in their wings as they will accept him back with open arms hehe. Sean Gibbons has so many connections with those sanctioning bodies especially the WBO so this may be the short for an Inoue fight that we have been longing for.
I'm not really sure what you meant, why is going back to MP suddenly WBO will give him the chance to become the mandatory? I don't think that Sean has so much influence though, we really even don't know how he become Manny's manager, he wasn't even by his side when Manny was in his prime?

Anyhow, I think if ever he will be given the chance by the WBO, it's because he is the former champion at 118 lbs. So we all know that some governing bodies prioritized their champions when moving up.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 21, 2023, 12:24:18 PM
1 in 4 chance to recover is not great odds and in dice it's not exactly an easy win. I would rather make many bets and try to recover if playing dice vs 1 big bet. Odds just aren't very good.

Gambling is gambling and if you're just looking for a rush then doing it your way is fine. How much are you betting if I may ask? What's significant to you?
Quite conservative I would say, or you are just a smart gambler, as you know that the recovery is not that great so it's better to take the long route in order to at least bounce back and see how it goes.

But there are gamblers that mostly, defy the logic (no offense to them), and I'm just one of them. Just like in my playing just a couple of minutes ago. In roulette I deposit once and lost everything in just one spin. And then I deposited again, and hit a single number so I covered my loses in my first deposit. But I feel lucky again and bet a single number and it hit again, so I made my initial capital of x5 and then quit right away.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin have grant program ? on: September 21, 2023, 11:25:19 AM
Hello everyone

like most the blockchains do
Does Bitcoin have grant program?

I'm sure if they have it will brings so much traffic

I do not think that Bitcoin can grant programs, I mean there's no central authority, so who is going to grant them? But I guess there are organizations that might used Bitcoin to grant other institutions so this might be closest that we can see.

As for the traffic you mentioned, I understand that it must be promotion? We don't need that kind of promotion or marketing though. Bitcoin is growing whether someone promote it or not.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 20, 2023, 09:16:50 PM
Casimero training update:

Casimero's promoter have sent to Ormoc City where the latter lives two high level sparring partner as the training has intensified since the fight will be in less than a month from now. Gauging on the video, Casimero is almost there, he hits very hard and that hook if touches Oguni;s chin, i think he would fall to the canvas.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eEtMFMt210&ab_channel=QuadroAlasit%E2%80%99smyboy

Thanks for sharing his training video. There's no doubt about Casimero's power, and I'm sure he keeps improving every day. His timing is really good; he doesn't throw a lot of punches, but his counterpunches are very dangerous. It's great to see him training hard for this fight. Despite Oguni not being as popular as him, he still didn't underestimate him. I think he really wants to prove the doubters wrong and win this by KO.

Yes, it seems that Casimero is in great shape right now, and it is really sparring?

I mean the two are throwing bombs against each other and there's no one to stop them. I guess I'm used to watch sparring that they didn't put 100% in training, and it the trainer sees enough or at least the sparring partner is hurt, they will blow their whistle and stop the fight.

So there's no underestimating from the camp of Casimero against Oguni, and leaving no stones unturn.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i have multiple accounts at the same casino? on: September 20, 2023, 06:21:33 PM
You can't. Because your account contains your personal and banking information and the casino allows only one customer account registration to ensure your security. So it is foolish to try this because it may get your account banned so you should use an account to keep your fund safe.
Yes, you can, if the casino has no terms against multiple accounts.

No, you can't if the casino terms say one account allowed per person or per household or something like that.

So the answer depends on which casino you are playing with, if you don't know whether the casino allows multiple accounts then you must have skipped the ToS reading part while agreeing to it.
I guess online majority of online casinos are against multiple accounts and it could be used against you. If you look at the scam accusations or at least some of them. The first problem that the casino might throw into your face is that you might be suspected of cheating by having multiple accounts.

So for me, it's better not to try this, it's like in land based casino's wherein you have a lot of ids when you join them to have some perks. So it's better to just have one and have one real account.

777  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Fake Celsius claimant Agent Website on: September 20, 2023, 05:44:55 PM
I fear that they may have obtained customer data from a data leak, and then they may obtain your name, email address, and account details, such as the remaining balance, which could be exploited to claim that this service is legitimate.
These scammers are looking for any possible opportunity to steal money, it is best to verify the claim website from an official link and ignore any other links.

I reported them ----> https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/
Yeah, and probably this is the case here, and I guess not that this one, but all other scam attempts from customers of this X crypto services. But still good to hear this kind of warnings from this community.

And maybe we have such victims from the Celsius bankruptcy and hopefully it can reach them and not be the next victims because it's going to be hard for them. I mean you lost already and trying to claim what is yours and suddenly to fall victim again.
778  Economy / Speculation / Re: what a surprise dip on: September 19, 2023, 01:29:05 PM
Sometimes you may need money and then you may need to sell Bitcoin. Except in such a case, it is a wrong decision to sell if the price of bitcoin is below the price you bought. We must learn to wait in this market and to trade when the time comes.

When you panic and sell when the market is falling, you want the price to drop more. Sometimes it can be like this, but after every drop in Bitcoin, the price increases. At the very least, selling by paying attention to support and resistance can reduce some of your losses.
So we must distinguish between money for personal needs and money for investment or trading needs. Not distinguishing between the two will affect when you start holding, money that should be used for long-term investment will be forced to cut losses to meet personal needs.
Buying and selling based on support and resistance is highly recommended and also pay attention to where your target is to start selling and buying using the DCA strategy,
Of course, smart investors knows this, not saying that everyone here is not that good or what, but if we have been in this situation before, we all know that we could step aside some money for investment in crypto that we are not going to touch for a long time and at the same time, we have money at a side that we used like everyday.

So in crypto investment, we really have to think on how we are going to approach everything so that we can stay here for a long time. And also the experience that we gain will also give us some edge as well, in my opinion.

^^Zhang should have the momentum here, he really messed up Joyce on their first fight. And although he is already a ageing boxer, he still has that power specially in his left because as I have said, it really damages the face of Joyce and he hasn't had any response during that fight.

I haven't check the odds though, maybe Joyce is still the favorite but it should be very close, unlike the first fight wherein I think Joyce is a huge favorite. So it's redeem time for Joyce or Zhang making it 2-0 and it's not going to be good for Joyce in this division.

Speaking of Lebron though, he posted that he is hype about Vando getting back with the Los Angeles Lakers. I think he should be, as they look very solid in this season with the addition of Hayes and C Wood as well in the center position.

And it is also noted that if not for this acquisitions and trade, there are rumors within Lakers that Rob Pelinka might have been fired. So it's a good move from Rob and so we will see how the Lakers will be in this season. Going to be exciting in the West with the defending champions Nuggets and then the Lakers and Warriors as well.
