801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Difference Between Plying Gambling on Online Sites and Real Casinos? on: September 12, 2023, 12:17:55 PM
In my country there are no casinos operating because it is an illegal activity. However, many online gambling sites operate and have many users from our country. So, even though I often play on online gambling sites, I have absolutely no experience playing gambling in real casinos. I often watch YouTube about gambling in real casinos, especially about slot machines. I noticed that in real casinos, slot games do not have a buy free spins feature

Do you have experience playing at real casinos and online gambling sites? Is there a difference playing there? I want to know.
Just sad though to hear that as a gambler, you haven't had that experience to go to a land based casinos. Traditional casinos though are obviously lots of people, and there could be some live band playing and there are free drinks and other freebies that you can have specially if you are a big whales and high rollers. Of course, since  there are other gamblers around, you can talk with them as well even though you don't know them.

As compare to online gambling wherein you are just alone, maybe in the comfort or your living room or bedroom. No noise and somewhat you are very private as you are just alone playing whether slots or any other table games.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 12, 2023, 10:52:30 AM
I'm not really viewing Takuma as a threat because he doesn't have that one punch like his brother does.

We should disregard Takuma Inoue being the younger brother of Naoya Inoue when it comes to analyzing the fight.

Instead, we can consider saying that Takuma might not be a threat to Ancajas because of;

a) fighting experience
b) not a Knock Out specialist
c) the WBO Bantamweight title he owned was vacant prior

But personally for me, threat or not, I don't want to think that Takuma Inoue should be an easy fight for Ancajas. He is now a champion and will defend his first-ever WBO Bantamweight title in front of his fellow countrymen. It will fuel more to unleash his best performance as a champion.

Right, weighing the options whom to bet while also thinking that Takuma got the name of an Inoue as he is the younger brother will somehow cloud our judgement and that will not help us in determining which player got more chances because having the Inoue name will somehow speak louder rather than knowing the real facts to give our bets a better chances.

Although, I couldn't help but think what does Takuma felt? I mean, people will always see him in Naoya's shadow because they both share the same name and people will always compare them because they are opposite. To say the truth, I know that it doesn't feel right but that is his reality as they are both in the same industry.
I guess he can't do anything about it, the stigma will be there him and his brother being compared. It's not that first time though that we have seen brothers in boxing, we have the Charlo brothers as well, but only Jermell is the active one.

But to get out of that stigma, I guess what Takuma should do is to just fight and win, simply as that. Of course, he can set this goal to be undisputed, but it's going to be very difficult as there are a lot of great champions in this division. And unless he has the power like his brother, gonna be hard for him, just saying.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope is all I have left on: September 12, 2023, 10:19:51 AM
The world are seriously facing the economy challenge's that all also affect our traditional business today and even here in cryptocurrency market that is also experiencing bearish market, never give up in cryptocurrency is just a matter of time crypto market we recovered back, which taken bold step investing little is not wast of time or resources and is good to keep hope alive while keep holding and buying little you can.
It's obvious though, market have been in a up and down state, and we have what we call cycles. We might be in the bear market, but rest assured that in the next coming years, it will completely change to a bullish one specially after that halving. And that what's separate crypto or at least bitcoin to the rest of the traditional market.

As far as owning bitcoin, it's a long process as well specially for the majority of us here, we are average joe. But it doesn't mean that we cannot do it, it will take a lot of mental toughness and of course money to invest and then to make profits in the future.
804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go above $30,000? on: September 11, 2023, 09:38:46 PM
What's really the hold up in the price rising because earlier this year some see the price to be above the current price even up to $40-$45k and up till now is like there's something holding it and who's holding at the moment has given up.
What's the best advise to be given to investors who thinks the next bull isn't coming anytime soon but from next year?
To me I still have faith on this whole weak market price with the way it seems Bitcoin price can start rising starting from this week, not a prophecy or something is just keeping the hope up high.

If you have that trust better to buy and hold while the price is still cheap, if your analysis is right, then expect to earn decently once the market begins to pump back and rally high.
Yes, just like in the last 24 hours, prices are down again and what's scary is that we are in the lows $25k, been a long time since we have since this price though. On the other hand, as you have said, best to acquire and then just hold it for a while or at least wait for the bull run next year. Exciting times ahead.

All depends on how you trust and understand the market and how willing you are in case that another
dump takes place, how you will survive and how decide your investment.
Regarding the bull run, history hasn't failed as yet, so I do not think that you have to worry about what if the next bull run is not going to come. If that is the case they still though, good to hold and acquire cheap bitcoin, and just wait for it to go up.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 11, 2023, 09:00:13 PM
CP3 playing time to time makes sense, plus if they can put him in the games early on the season, even if he doesn't see the end of the season they could build a team that would handle the early season part easily and win some games, get ahead, and then CP3 could rest a bit and play less games and then end the season stronger.

What I think will happen is that CP3 will probably get about 20-25 minutes per game for about 30 or so games the start, and then he is going to start playing 50% of the other games, which would be about another 20 or so, and finish the season with 50 games like mentioned but at least be well rested for the playoff time. Their small ball line up could definitely be decent if they adjust well.

I can see this happening as well.  I figured 15-25 a game some he might only see the first half  or something.  At that age you can't lean on him for lots of minutes nor would you want to run a cp3/klay/steph for stretches.  I think he is gonna go out there with the 2nd team to run that squad.  Then start blending them in later in the year.
Yes, this is also what I'm seeing, perhaps starting fight but will go full 12 minutes on the first quarter. And then take some rest in the middle, could be good though that him and other experience players are all in in the last 4 minutes of the game and I'm expecting Steve Kerr to do that. He knows that importance of a good point guard in dying minutes of the game specially if the game are close.

So used sparingly in the first quarters and let CP3 warm up. And if the game needed his veteran leadership, then he will go to finished the game in some stretches. I think he did this to Phoenix Suns as well as they know how crucial it is to Paul to have at least a good rest before the 4th quarter.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: September 11, 2023, 08:17:15 PM
Mike has to teach Francis how to get closer to find the range, Mike is smart enough to have done this against his opponents. If Francis can't get close, he will never get an opportunity to land a punch.
And that's what Mike Tyson is training Francis, head movement and he should be quick on his feet. Of course in training he might execute it nicely. But when he is on the ring with Fury, it is very different. Perhaps like what his strategy against Wilder, used his technical skills and if Francis gets closer, tie him up and put all the weight on Ngannou and let him take all the weight and eventually he will get tired as he is not used to his long rounds.

It doesn't look like they are very much into thrashing. Francis pointing at the bod looks like a good meme. We're going to see a lot of memes after the fight and it wouldn't even matter for Francis if he loses the fight since it's already expected against the pro but it would be a hilarious meme if Fury loses though.
That's the closest confrontation that we might seen this two do leading up to the fight. But it sure did as it be a meme right now. But it boils down as how Francis will do in this fight. Can you pull an upset and land that big one shot on Tyson Fury?
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Frank Martin - tentative date 11/16 or 12/9 on: September 11, 2023, 07:28:58 PM
So I guess he can't call Shakur unless he is ready. But in the last couple of months, he can't get out Shakur names from his mouth and seems desperate to fight him. And now that they are offered money by Top Rank, which I think is fair though, not comes the reason that they are not ready?

What happen to boxing now? who is going to be Martin's replacement though, it seems that Pitbull doesn't want to fight him as well. So from top to bottom they are obviously ducking Shakur at 135 lbs.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Owner of 8K bitcoin lost in landfill threatens to bankrupt local council on: September 11, 2023, 06:59:29 PM
I think him lashing out at the city council and threatening to sue them doesn't make bitcoin look good.
He is just trying to look for someone to blame, a scapegoat to his lost bitcoins that's why he had to do something. But I doubt that it will affect bitcoin negatively, on the contrary, it might highlight bitcoin again. And for those holders, they will really have to protect it at all cost and that be the one guy that will be desperate to search for it because of his stupidity and he should be enjoying it right now as a millionaire. Unfortunately he had to do everything to the point that he has to look for someone to blame including the city council which has nothing to do with BTC.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 09, 2023, 03:40:01 AM
^^ It's no surprised that Filipino boxers spar against each other, I mean they are going to support and so we have seen two great champion in Magsayo and Tapales sparring and trying to get as much experience specially for Tapales as he might have a upcoming fight against Inoue.

Although the fight has been scheduled already, we haven't heard though the official announcement. Nevertheless it will not hurt if Marlon Tapales will also prepared or preparing because anytime, the fight could happen.

Well, Filipinos do that for a reason and part of that same reason is to keep them warm and help them in pushing their limits. Honestly, this is the first time that I've heard mainly from you that Tapales and Magsayo used to spar with each other and that's great to know because both of them are helping each other since both of them are trying to make a name in their chosen weight class.
It's good to hear that, fellow Filipinos help each other to prepare for a big fight like here in Tapales and who wouldn't be a fit as his training partner and sparring with Magsayo who is a heavy puncher and it might give Tapales some learning experienced.

For the information of this bout, the last time I've heard is that Bob Arum and their Japanese counterpart is still finding some suitable date since this fight will happen at Tokyo, Japan. Lots of things should be considered first because this is also an undisputed fight where Inoue have a chance to follow Crawford's footstep in becoming a two time undisputed champion.
As long as it this year, then it's good. Casimero will have a fight against a Japanese as well in Japan so for sure there are a lot of suitable dates that they can find and Saitama stadium has been the home of Inoue for many years now. So I wouldn't be surprised if the fight is going to be held in Saitama.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 09, 2023, 03:17:29 AM
Wanted to see the US play in the Finals but Germany was the better team today.  I actually wanted to see US vs Canada in the finals so at least we will get to see that.  As a knick fan it will be fun to see j brunsen and rj compete against each other.  Haven't checked but the odds got to be almost even on that game no?

Well, that's what everyone else are expecting to see in the finals but unfortunately 2 other teams have played on a much higher level than Canada and USA. I wasn't so surprised about this upset though, wel all know this isn't the best team the USA has. This roster is like the team C for the team USA. In that case, they are really being over confident in still dominating the international stage, unfortunately European teams were tough.
Let's see who they are gonna be sending next Fiba world cup. Is there a Redeem team 2? Will LeBron play in the Olympics?
I doubt Lebron James will play in the Olympics, he is done with that.
IMO, the team they sent is not Team C of the NBA. These are the rising stars of the league and they want them to experience the world competition. I bet they learned a lot of lessons after their loss against Germany.
Basketball doesn't only rotate in the NBA, the Euroleague is also a competitive place and that is why many NBA stars now are Europeans.
Their defense is so weak and I think they forgot that it is also part of the game. Team USA always relied on their offensive power and that was given but Germany didn't stop by just using offense as their weapon, they used their strong defense too.

About who will they send for the Olympics, there's a chance it's the same roster but I bet it will be much stronger because of what happened yesterday. These players would want to redeem themselves too so they might push the management to send them again.

Yes, and to add to that, it just shows that defense win games, we have heard this to a lot o great coaches in the past, everything started with D and then the offense will come. And it also shows that the Euro League is catching up or at least at par with the NBA and that's why we have seen a lot of European now in the NBA dominating.

Luka even once said that it's easy to score in the NBA, maybe the defense of NBA is not there yet with some of the EU league or it's just the EU has very different style that's why the NBA players are not used to it in this FIBA.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Littleboy's altcoin casino on: September 09, 2023, 03:05:20 AM
I am not going to "check out your casino" until you buy a copper membership. It doesn't cost much. Buying the copper membership costs like 10-30 dollars.
Pay this, then we can talk. By posting your Ann thread without posting a appropriate Ann thread, you are hearting your brand, think of it!
I do agree, but maybe to some extend he/she doesn't know his way into this community. They just think they will just created a post in this board and that's it, they are going to attract customers and possible not going back to answer the queries by the users here.

So again, the best advise, is for them to get a copper membership, doesn't cost that much. And then hire someone for a ANN thread or they themselves can edit the first page and put up a big and attractive ANN thread and maybe they can get the attention here.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new projects. on: September 08, 2023, 04:38:15 PM
Unfortunately, we haven't heard this project though. But in any case, it's not good to ask for financial advise here as everyone has a different though process. Maybe there will be some who wanted to tell you to invest on new projects and do your own research.

But there could be others who might tell you do invest on established project already in the altcoin market. So with that, it is still up to you to decide, it's your money anyways and hopefully you can make the right decision.
813  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 08, 2023, 04:14:18 PM
sentiment check is better done on in a shorter time frame like daily not monthly because that is how quickly the market and the traders sentiment changes. the best evidence of it is the big candles we see on the charts regularly where people hear a certain news and FOMO.

i voted for sideways though.

Not really...  Most people aren't like schizos who change their sentiment every 24 hours or so at every news release.  Lol.  But what I do in these sentiment threads is open the poll for the first couple of weeks of the month to get the votes in, then lock the poll at the end of the second week to somewhat get what the sentiment is near the start of the month.  That way we get the sentiment for the month before we see what the market brings for the month.
Lol, but yeah, sentiments change like every day, but you can't blame them as we might be seeing some positive news so we might think that the sentiments might go from sideways => $30k at the end of the month.

Just like what we witnessed, surprised to see a jump to $26k++, as I thought the price could be stagnant around $25k at it is a big support. So let's see if this month will continue to be not so good historically or the one that we wanted, get back to $30k'ish again.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 08, 2023, 04:00:14 PM
Sad to see the United States get eliminated before even reaching the Final in the FIBA World Championships. While I don’t think these were the best players we could have sent, it seems like USA’s domination of basketball is losing its grip. They’d better send our best to win the gold at the next summer Olympic Games.
But I do love what Steve Kerr said during the post-game press interview. "These games are difficult, this is not 1992 anymore."
Yes, I do agree with that statement, but after 1992 they have build a solid roster as well winning some tournament but also losing. But as you have said, everyone is really at par with the NBA players, specially European team.

He is right. Two years without a Gold for Coach Steve Kerr but this doesn't mean he is a bad coach, players are just getting better. Serbia is also proof of that, no Nikola Jokic, no problem.
Other countries are advancing, and Europe is at a high level of competition when it comes to basketball. After I watched EuroBasket, I became a fan of many countries in that area.

Team USA lacks defense, that's given. They are leaning more on their offense because that is what the roster is made of. But Obst of Germany is playing both ends and that's what hurt them a lot. They are focused on just defending Schroder but a wild card suddenly appears. Wagner brothers are also more competitive and have a high goal of winning against the top favorite in the tournament. Actually, all of them want to defeat them.  Cheesy
It's just very unfortunate that it will go down again in history as the year that the US didn't win the Gold medal. So they really again need to send their best players not just in the Olympics, but tournaments like FIBA because there is pride in here and you don't want to lose their hold on basketball.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: September 08, 2023, 03:50:28 PM
I think it's the latter, I have seen a lot of influencers who promote casinos even in legal countries and still they are allowed to do that. Obviously, for countries that ban gambling, it's totally different.

But like where the country that I lived in, there are major casinos around, and then you can access online gambling anytime you want. So there will be a lot of influencers that are going to be paid to promote that gambling sites and the government will not do anything about it as because the tax generated by this online casinos are huge for them.

But is there anything wrong with influencers promoting gambling site? What do you expect government to do about it? This gambling sites are fully licensed and registered by government and they can use every possible means to advertise their site as long as it's not against the ethics of advertisement. Like my country here, famous and legend national players are use to advertise some local betting site and the advert is mind blowing and top notch that's capable of attracting customers.
It's either the government step up and crack it down, or as I have said, if gambling is perfectly legal in that country then they will just have to go and look on the other side and not chase anything.

The major issue here is that corruption has becloud our government that led to embezzlement of every penny in the government coffer, else the tax received from this gambling platforms can be use to develop some aspects of our communities such as good roads and drinkable water. So unless gambling is totally illegal, it's legal to use influencers to promote their site.
I think corruption will only occur if the government is against gambling, or at least have some sort of illegal gambling in the under and government officials are protecting it because as we all know, there are a lot of money involved in gambling. And so this corrupt cops and government officials might do it.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 08, 2023, 03:15:09 PM
I didn't like USA very much during the tournament. I was expecting Canada to make a surprise and win the tournament. However they said goodbye to the tournament in the semi finals by losing to Serbia today. I see Serbia as a big favourite for the finale. There are two important reasons for this. Serbia's having a leader like Bogdanovic and the teams defeating USA are always having a disaster in next matches.
Yeah, it was a big upset in the semi finals and was wondering if someone was able to bet on either or both upsets now? I thought that the Canadians has an easy path but Serbia was really playing good defense.

So now it's Germany vs Serbia. The hype on US is gone, Lol. Costly turnover and I guess when they come back there will be a lot of criticism on everyone, specially from the coach. Anyone, lots of unpredictable in this tournament and we have two European in the FIBA finals.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MetaMask Unveils Instant Bank Withdrawals on: September 07, 2023, 11:35:11 AM
I'm sure there will be users who will find this convenient but I'm personally not a fan. I would rather go the longer route and pay extra fees for moving funds from Metamask to one or two centralize exchange I use for a long time. I think that's a smaller price to pay than having my personal information submitted to various platforms.
Right, gonna be 50/50 for me as well, as much as wanted it to be instant in some cases, it might not be good in the long run. Plus how much they are going to charge for this one? The price could be similar to other banking services for sure and there could be instances that it will not be instant withdraws. I have similar problems years ago with such cases, that I have to call the bank or the platform itself as they advertised it to be instant with a higher fee. And that time I needed the money right away but the services fail me.
818  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding Crypto wallet and traditional wallets for beginners on: September 07, 2023, 10:53:16 AM
For me, if you want to be involved in crypto, that is the first thing that we should understand, the basics of the wallet because there are different kinds. And then the most important, how to protect your wallet, your private keys and mnemonic phase.

Otherwise, someone can steal your crypto if you are not attended with your private keys, so know and learn the security hygiene behind it. And as you mature, then maybe you will go to like hardware wallet and then air gap wallets, far more advanced, but the essence is still there.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney on: September 07, 2023, 10:27:54 AM
So according to Eddie Hearn, this fight is still alive but the signed October 28 date is off. Eddie is looking for the last week of November or early December as its new date.

I haven't seen enough hype about this fight. The media is more focused on Canelo and Crawford nowadays. I wonder if Eddie made the right call by signing Regis Prograis and Devin Haney. These guys aren't cheap and will be paid millions of dollars but they need to sell tickets, PPV, and convince companies for sponsorships. Maybe the fans are tired of Haney's boring style and while Prograis packs a punch, he is not that popular to the casuals.
Yeah, it's a big gamble that Eddie Hearn and his company sign this two boxers who for me hasn't had a good solid followers. No doubt that they are great boxers, but in the current state of boxing industry, you need to sell fights, you need to fill the arena with people that are willing to pay expensive tickets just to see boxers give a good show.

And I don't think that the 2 fits that perfectly. Haney is the undisputed in 135 lbs, but it takes two to tango to make the fight sell, just like in his last fight against Loma. As for Regis, 140 lbs? doesn't have a good name to bring the hype in this division.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: September 07, 2023, 10:16:30 AM
...
The worst aspect is when exploitative casino owners employ influencers to advertise their gambling applications. It's practically impossible to stop; even rival casinos are capable of producing illicit activity; they make it seem legitimate, but it's not.

Do you mean that using influencers or people with a high internet presence is illegal on your country? Because that would be rather a weird legislation to have, keeping in mind how big social media and casino advertisement is nowadays.

Unless you are talking about other illicit activities which somehow have something to do with casinos in your country; if a country and its authorities are corrupt enough, I would not surprised if they used casinos to launder money for pin-kings in exchange for a good percentage of the money. It is something I could totally see happening here in my homeland, even though brick n mortar establishments are kind of trapped in a grey legal zone since the arrival of the socialist party to power.
I think it's the latter, I have seen a lot of influencers who promote casinos even in legal countries and still they are allowed to do that. Obviously, for countries that ban gambling, it's totally different.
