881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 16, 2023, 05:53:48 PM
Yes it is good to join bitcoin signal group because it will help you to trade and invest. I have been in a trading signal group and those experts in the group were given us information to go about anytime when the time of trading has come. The group was good, but not all the groups are good nto join there are some that are there to do the opposite. So be careful when joining them.

Lucky for you that you found a valuable trading group that you can say, worth it.
Nowadays, it is hard to find a crypto trading signal group that is worth your time and resources.
If you are not sure about the group, better watch and observe about the tips that they are sharing to the group.
You will know if the tips are legit if you can see that it is indeed happening in the market trade.
There may be lapses a lil bit, but there should be at least correct signal/s that you think are valid.
True. It’s seldom to see crypto trading signal group nowadays that are trustworthy as most of them are obviously all for money. Yes, they can be valuable at first to make you feel amazed but later on, they will start to ask for payment if you want a reliable trading tip. Yet, the prediction still ends the opposite way. However, I believe  some can still be reliable enough but it’s rare to find them. That’s the reason why it’s better to do trading on your own and just try to study the market as well so you can be more capable analyzing the market trading charts and its patterns.
882  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tips that helpfull for beginners on: July 15, 2023, 09:43:22 PM
These are important trading tips for beginners. It's crucial to stay informed, have a strategy, choose reliable exchanges, secure investments, be wary of scams, continuously learn, stay disciplined, have patience, manage your emotions, be prepared to adapt to changing market conditions, always prioritize risk management for long-term success, and remember that trading is a journey that requires perseverance and continuous improvement. They should appreciate this advice and guidance!

I believe all these advices will be very helpful on the part for beginners. However, we should also be aware that newbies have only limited knowledge and experience in the market so we cannot expect that they will be able to follow all of these. But I believe the more they stay in the forum, the more they stay informed, and the more they’ll be able to experience mistakes and losses, and maybe after experiencing it, they’ll be more keen observers and invest with caution in the crypto market.
883  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: July 15, 2023, 09:13:31 PM
Forgive my ignorance, I am very new to this space. I saw talks about CBDCs and that drew my attention back to cryptocurrencies. I thought the last bull run would be the last we would have seen of bitcoin ever reaching those heights so I stopped looking at the crypto space ever since. But now we have discussions about dethroning the dollar and CBDCs, I am changing my mind about that, but I still find it fascinating that bitcoin is pumping in this economy right now. I am no means an expert in economics as you can clearly tell, would appreciate if anyone who had the knowledge could shed some light here. Always keen to learn. Thanks
You can’t expect that while economic recession is going on, bitcoin price will follow. That’s certainly a wrong mindset. Bitcoin is never controlled by the government or the country’s economy, so whatever happened to them, bitcoin will always stick to its cycle and will definitely reach a higher value not only because halving is near, but because bitcoin is destined to grow and increase its value overtime, and not that it will permanently dropping its price just like with some altcoins that eventually turn dead coins.
884  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to grow the bitcoin you have? on: July 15, 2023, 08:36:45 PM
How to grow the bitcoin you have without being involved in gambling or putting it in a custody wallet for APY. Is there any proven low risk method.
Bitcoin investment itself is risky so expect that the ways to have more bitcoin is still risky as it is. You can do the DCA and maximize bitcoin in your portfolio, or you can trade selling at a high price and when the price drops again to its dip, then buy bitcoin again but this time, grab the opportunity to buy a lot while it’s price is very affordable and very cheap.
885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things that influence our trading decisions on: July 14, 2023, 09:52:08 PM
* Emotions in trading
This is very common and I can give my own example and own experience for this:

For example, you entered a trade and before you entered a trade you already have the plan for an entry price, stop loss price, and exit price.
The position is already open and you are already in profit suddenly you saw some news or post on social media which causes a price drop, and then you panic and feel to close your trade immediately even if the stop loss price is not yet met.

See? Your emotion ruined your trade position even you already plan everything before you open a trade.
Our emotions could be the best reason why we never succeed on our trades. Instead of being patient, we tend to become more greedy for bigger profits, and end up missing some opportunities to sell for consistent profits. If we keep on tolerating that, we will never be good enough and profitable in trading since emotions could be our best enemy when trading. That’s the reason why we should separate our emotions when we decide to trade.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 13, 2023, 09:02:47 PM
I hope you are not serious when you use arguments such as Zukerbergs has now two medals from bjj tournament and Musk is a black belt in bjj. What was that bjj tournament? Tournament for white belts in Silicon valley? Beaten some IT nerds and now everything thinks he is good at bjj. And all of a sudden Musk has a black belt. Who gave him that? Seems to me the photo that was featured here was just a nice photo for article. Besides, having a black belt does not mean its owner has special skills. For example UFC is full of bjj black belt owners, but failed to defend against blue or purple Cheesy

I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to the belt colors but you are right, these colors supposed to mean something and that there is a hierarchy depending on the color you have. But about these two, I don't really care who got the more experience and who have won more medals, or who have a black belt in a certain martial arts because it will all go down to who have the dedication and guts to defeat the other one because from my perspective, they all look like a clown who wanted to declare something.

Doesn't really matter if when they got that because I know that their foes at that time were just like them, some innocent teen or kid or nerd who wanted to earn a belt.

Meanwhile, Victor Wembanyama just made a remark saying the NBA is less physical than his games in Europe.
We can't blame him for that since he hasn't experienced the real one yet but I'm pretty sure some US players who read that are going to get a piece of him. He's in for a rude awakening hehe.

Exactly, I’m starting to doubt him due to his recent opinion since Spurs is currently at the bottom of the standings. I wonder if he can play even a full quarter on NBA regular season especially against hard core big man like Giaanis, Jokic and Embiid. I'm sure that his hamstring will gonna ache much once he receive consecutive blows on a real physical game.

He even struggling on summer league. I think his comment is just to boost his morale since people is expecting a lot on him while he can't display a very dominant performance to carry his teammates.

Victor's comment sounds a bit cocky, considering he only played 2 games in the summer league. As I see it, summer league games and regular season games are completely different things, and it makes no sense to compare them. As for whether Victor can play against other big guys, I think he will have a hard time in the paint because guys like Jokic and Embiid weigh a lot more than Victor, and they will probably dominate him.

His eyes are still close when it comes to the reality inside the NBA, it will be more believable if those comments came from Nikola Jokic or Giannis Antetokounmpo. But since the comment came from a kid who just played two mere games in the summer league and just got drafted this summer, it's still too premature for him to give that since he haven't got the experience what it feels like if you play in normal games inside the normal season.

Now, after this comment, I know coach Pop didn't liked it and because of that comment, it will be safe to say that some of the players in the league will target him to open his eyes about the reality. So, to you Victor Wembanyama, good luck to your rookie days.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do 90% of Bettors Lose in Sports Betting in the Long-term? on: July 12, 2023, 09:49:26 PM
Not only with sportsgambling but to all gambling games. Reason? Winning is never certain therefore playing more often would expose you to higher risk. Even if you happened to won big, it'll eventually be turned into loss; you won't win always. Higher exposure means higher risk unless you are lucky enough. Analysis would work indeed in sportsbetting but as we all know, anything could happen within a match. Even underdogs has chances to win and if you would be too greedy of winning because you have a lowe odd bet, then be prepared to suffer big time as well once the unexpected happens. We are all prone to greed and frustration.
Sport is a physical game and for this two teams play physically on the field so here it is easy for a stronger team to win the match but sometimes it is seen that the stronger team unfortunately also loses. one who knows more about the team and better about the player's performance can predict the outcome of the match successfully. But this prediction does not always work because many times it is seen that many good teams lose easy matches then many professional gamblers also lose there bet
These are the answers to all the questions in this topic that professional gamblers sometimes still experience successive defeats because even if the club chosen is a strong club, all of that cannot provide guarantees and sometimes there are always surprises when the opposing club wins the match.
It is possible to win in the long term when betting on sports when you have an insider.

And hence why there are lots of casinos all over the world who offers sports betting because aside from it's uncertainty, people will have a hard time choosing what would be the best bet that will give them a higher chances to win but in the end, it all boils down to the same fact, that even if it's a high chance like let's say 80% chance, that doesn't really mean that they will win because upsets can happen almost every single time and even professional gamblers cannot predict this on their own.
889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 12, 2023, 08:55:11 PM
Also, Eimantas Stanionis have been ordered by the WBA to be the mandatory challenger to the winner of Errol Spence Jr. vs Terence Crawford.

But isn't it there is a rematch clause between Errol Spence Jr. vs Terence Crawford? So I doubt that the mandatory fight can happen. Maybe the best thing is to elevate Eimantas Stanionis to full champion.

Yes, there is indeed a rematch clause between Crawford and Spence Jr.

The Crawford-Spence loser has 30 days from the night of their fight to exercise his contractual right to an immediate rematch.

That said, many boxers like Boots Ennis and Stanionis will be affected by this if ever the loser will activate the rematch clause within the 30 days limit because that will mean that they will have to wait again and probably have another fight to keep them warm to keep their rhythm intact.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - July 29 on: July 11, 2023, 08:17:01 PM
Right, Tank vs Garcia is very different though, I mean the hype is really huge and PPV reaches more than 1 million. And I remember that we have discussed speculations about how big this fight it in terms of PPV and if I remember it correctly, we did somewhat agree that the numbers could be around 300,000-500,000 buys. But we will see.

It's getting closer, I can sense on some boxing forums that the hype is building already.

I also read some comments of former opponents of this two boxers, like Porter and they have given their own opinions about this fight.

The promoters of this fight made the PPV more expensive so it will have a hard time matching Ryan vs. Tank's numbers. Today's generation of fighters need to have a strong social media presence if they want to attract the biggest audience. Earlier this month, an influencer boxing event broke records on Twitch by getting over 3.4 million live viewers and over 100 million have watched the replay. Crawford and Spence aren't at that level of popularity but I think the years of anticipation and hype will lead to a big viewership.

No mate, the PPV price between Crawford-Spence and Garcia-Davis fight are just the same for $84.99 (you can look that up on the internet), that price will be your digits if it's your first time to subscribe and if you're already a subscriber, I think there's a slight discount for that because the latter's fight was made for $60 if you already have a subscription.

About their PPV buys, I don't have any doubts that it will surpass the PPV buys Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis as this fight is already waited by the people all over the world, that includes me, and it will be safe to assume that the people won't certainly let this slide.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: July 11, 2023, 08:04:32 PM

Well, I cannot even deny that claims by the former champion because Nonito Donaire was just spitting some simple and understandable facts as there is no way that he will be defeated in this fight because Santiago doesn't have his strength nor Inoue's. In line to that, his chances to win are much more higher even if it is not a guaranteed and let's just get back to basics, Donaire will not pick Santiago if he knew that he will have a hard time fighting for that crown. He knew that his age will be a factor and right now, his goal is to be a champion first, nothing else.

He truly respected the power of Inoue and accepted that his power was what defeated him. Santiago is not a high-quality boxer, so I don't expect him to be able to knock out Donaire if he were to win. However, if Santiago loses, it's highly likely that Donaire will secure the victory by knockout.

Among the champions in his division, I believe that Donaire is likely to create a buzz with his impressive fighting style and the way he wins the fight.

If he wins this fight, there's no doubt it will be by KO. Donaire's power is simply too much for this relatively unknown boxer. It's unfortunate that he has to face Donaire for the belt, but I hope he won't be discouraged if he experiences a devastating KO. I also hope he is adequately prepared to prevent such an outcome.

Remember, guys, this fight is scheduled to happen on July 15, 2023, so make sure not to miss it.

https://www.boxingscene.com/nonito-donaire-alexandro-santiago-wbc-title-fight-set-july-15-las-vegas--175355

Yes, this fight will be this weekend so mark your calendar, and if you haven't put a bet yet then you still have some days to come and make the decision on what value you can find in this fight, Donaire by KO or Donaire by decision.

I think it's good that Donaire really measured himself against Inoue and so he knows where his power is and maybe it is still the best in this division since Inoue has move up in weight already.

Yes, the fight night is already right around the corner and I just put my bets through for Donaire because the bookies already opened some more lines in this bout.
I managed to bet on Nonito Donaire to win via KO/TKO @ 3.20 and threw some on what round should the fight will end.

I was surprised to see the line because I only expected it to be a little bit over 2.3x because the ML is just 1.7x but the KO option went as far as 3.2x  Cheesy
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 11, 2023, 07:23:45 PM
Elon Musk is one of the biggest trolls on social media. He is also an attention whore. I have no idea if this fight is really happening. Earlier today Musk proposed a "literal dick measuring contest". This all just seems like a big joke to him and he is loving the attention he's getting.

Based on eye test alone it is obvious to see that Zuckerberg is in much better shape and would probably defeat Musk with relative ease. Musk's ego won't allow him to be humiliated by his rival so he'll likely just stick to feuding through social media.

Zuckerberg may be in better shape but when comes to fighting some weight may help when defeating one's opponent. On the other hand, I agree with you, he is just a rich person with way too much free time and not sure what to do with it.

Who know, perhaps after the official launch of threads Elon would get serious about this fight, train and prepare for it. I also find the timing of all this things to be a little bit strange, threads is launched/announced just when people were speculating on this fight...
If this fight did happen I would not be rooting for either of them as it is obvious that neither of them have studied any type of martial art so the fight would just be a bad joke between the two.
Actually, they both have the same wealth and intelligence, so why compete with a battle.
Maybe Zuckerberg has better conditions but whoever wins also doesn't get any titles while those who lose will only endure the shame so this fight shouldn't be held but there are many rumors circulating that Elon Musk is passionate about being able to fight.

To be honest, I had taken seriously those images explaining comparisons between them and mentioning that both of them have actually studied and practiced some sort of martial art. Because in my mind it makes sense that someone with enough time and money would like to learn a bit about those things eventually. Now that you mention and point out the possibility of it being a lie, I think it is a huge coincidence both of them are alledgedly proficient on some fighting discipline.

Still, even if they were not it would be funny to see through the first 2 or 3 rounds, in my opinion. There would be good memes out of it.

Making this fight into a reality will indeed entertain the people around the world because these two icon is surely known, for Elon and Mark, it will be a showdown of two billionaires but for us, I don't think that is the case because honestly, it's like seeing two clowns fighting for a non-profitable event as I don't think they are after the money in the first place because they can generate in a matter of time, without getting some bruises.

But
893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 11, 2023, 06:48:48 PM
Wemby is gonna take the break in the NBA summer league and will now focus on the upcoming season. This is as per the decision of his team, Spurs.

Spurs decide that Victor Wembanyama’s Summer League is over after two games

I guess this is all part of the grooming plan and he had shown enough for the summer league. The preparation for the upcoming season should be prioritized then.
What's the main reason why there is Summer League? It's for the undrafted players to showcase their full potential, hoping to have a spot in the NBA roster, or even in the G-league.

Wembanyama must not play in the Summer League TBH, but 2 games just to have a glimpse on what can he expect when he play in the NBA is I guess enough already. I guess he knows where to adjust after he played 2 games. Now he needs to workout, do some shooting drills, and maybe increase his body frame since we're still months before the regular season starts. It's a good decision by the management.

It's also good to see Coach Pop signing a 5-year contract with the Spurs again. He already taught of retiring after last season, but because the Spurs got the number 1 pick this year, he wants to develop Wembanyama thus, signing that new contract. With his veteran experience, and a lot of knowledge, I'm pretty sure that he can develop Wembanyama just how he developed Tim Duncan in the past.

I definitely agree on that note. These players who have drafted this summer already have their own contracts, so there is exactly no benefit for them to play in the Summer League because those that kind of games are not even the kind of games they will be playing when the season starts. The playing minutes should be given solely for the undrafted players to show their capabilities and skills, as well as the invitees because as what happened, they just looked like a clown in the bench.
894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the way to Prosperity for a Determined Dreamer on: July 09, 2023, 06:50:51 PM
I'll play the devil here and say to you upfront that you shouldn't put all your hopes and dreams on bitcoin. There are people that over sells BTC as if it's the key to financial success or the solution to everything - IT'S NOT. There are many avenues where you could put your money into and become successful as well. I suggest that you expand your skills and boost your financial literacy.
Though this is quite pessimistic to say, but everything you said is true. Bitcoin will always be risky and won’t never guarantee sure success in the future. The reason why OP has to be open minded to other life’s investment and possibilities, and never put all his dreams and hopes only to bitcoin. Although bitcoin has created a lot of successful life’s stories, but know that not all who engage with bitcoin have turned profitable and rich, but some have also endure life-changing losses and find it hard to recover his finances again.
895  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimizing Risks in Crypto Trading: Essential Tips and Strategies on: July 09, 2023, 06:25:08 PM
My favorite tip: "Avoid investing more than you can afford to lose and never borrow money to trade".

Yes, this is the most important thing. If you only risk money that you can afford to lose, you will not fall into major problems in trading. This allows you to trade more freely and avoids exposure to pressures that are the cause of loss most of the time.

As for the stop loss, I rarely use it. I prefer instead to follow the DCA strategy, hold in the long run, if the coin drops significantly, it is better than selling at a loss.
For me, that’s always the basic rules in trading aside from learning trading consistently. You don’t need to jump into trading just because it promises high returns. But make sure once you start trading, your finances are stable and trade only on what you can afford to lose from your hard-earned money. And always trade with less involvement of your emotions. Otherwise, if you only trade following what your emotions tell you, you will lost your focus and determination to reach your target goals in trading.
896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help and encourage newbies to grow. on: July 09, 2023, 05:59:33 PM
What you need to know is to simply not take this community forum too seriously. Just like how you talk to other people on some social media group — as long as you follow the rules by not spamming and scamming and all that, you're good to go.
This has been the mindset of many newbies and including myself when I was new. Many see here as a company or higher institution or so. But later they will realise that this is a forum of discussion and also like other social media.
I wonder who ever created a facebook account and started asking people to help them grow on facebook.
They have to work their way out by engaging more with friends and that is exactly what happens here in the forum. For you to have a good engagement, you should be able to have a good knowledge of bitcoin because this is a bitcoin forum and bitcoin is the bone of context here.
This is true. You don’t need to do other things but to keep learning on what is the focus in the forum. Since this is bitcoin forum, then do your due diligence to be aware on how bitcoin is created and how it will be beneficial to everyone of us. And most especially learn to stick with the forum’s rules, otherwise you’ll get banned in no time. And while most of the newbies are greedy enough to invest quickly without enough knowledge, learn to wait for the right time to invest and be patient as it’s the best key to succeed and last longer in they type of investment.
897  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 09, 2023, 05:44:00 PM
I will still invest in Bitcoin over others or maybe I will choose gold as another option because gold is a relatively stable investment compared to other investments. I do not know watches so I won't go for it for now.

Investing in Bitcoin has been my choice for a long time because we can control how much money we can afford to invest. And even though the price of Bitcoin will still fluctuate, I think it's okay because the price of Bitcoin has the opportunity to increase greatly in the future. And that is why many people also choose to invest in Bitcoin because the return on investment can increase many times.

And I'm also not very interested in luxury goods because that could invite bad people to rob it. So keeping Bitcoins would be better for me because I can hide the wallet somewhere only I know.
You know, this is an investment between what you can see and wear  and what is not visible with other people, so of course I would always chose to invest in an investment that only myself knows. And that is bitcoin, simply because you can keep and hide it, and when it’s price surges high, you can always take some portion to sell and even diversify into another form of investment that is highly appreciating. While luxury watches is also a form of good investment, but only for those who love to show off everything so that people can tell that they are living luxuriously, but when it comes to profiting, I don’t think its price can give very high returns in the future no matter how you try to keep it knowing most of the physical investments that shows luxury will only depreciate its value once it’s new one arise and becomes the current trend.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Knowledgeable before Bitcoin investment is very Good on: July 08, 2023, 09:59:18 PM
I came across a post made on this forum by someone that says he has $20k for investment as such he was looking for people to advice him on how to go about it, for me it was actually a bad idea consorting everyone for investment advice because you could be lured by scammers to invest on a shitcoin as such loosing all your money because of lack of knowledge about Bitcoin or any investment in general, as someone that has no idea on investment I think the first thing was research google to learn more and also the risk involves. so I was thrilled to create this topic, so everyone could help by sharing there own knowledge on what someone that has no knowledge about investment should no before venturing into.

I may not be the right person for investment advice that's why I'm asking everyone to share their advice, views and knowledge incase something like this should come up, so people could learn and no what must be done before going into investment.
Obtaining Knowledge is always a must. That’s the reason if you don’t have prior knowledge before investing, then it’s better to just stop investing because you will never be in profits in the end. However, relying from other people’s advices or ideas may not be good since instead of making you profit, you might only end up being lured and fall easily to their scammer’s trap.
899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a successful Bitcoin investor as a newbies? on: July 08, 2023, 08:04:44 PM
Yes, it is not wrong to spend some dollars on learning before you start investing in bitcoin or trading. This is required in any field not only in crypto. If you enter any field and you do not have sufficient knowledge about it, you will surely fail.

Also, it is not wrong to benefit from the lessons of the past or the past cycles of Bitcoin because they are similar, but of course it is wrong to think that they will be exactly the same. History gives us useful lessons to learn from and benefit in the future to avoid mistakes.

There are many things that the investor must learn, and the most important thing is that he does not stop learning and constantly developing himself.
Some spend some dollars to buy online courses and to hire a mentor because they think it's better to learn this way but it's still possible to learn without any capital. We still have this forum, Youtube and other places which provides free crypto knowledge. Learning is necessary but it's crazy how some people can skip it because they are rushing to make money.

Well, they can get lucky but it's not sustainable. It's like they are only playing a gambling and most of the times they can only lose. Crypto market works in cycle so some strategies can still be able to work after some time though it's always better to have different strategies so that we can continue earning a profit at any market conditions.
Regardless if you spend for your knowledge or gained it free from online, as long as you absorb all the details that you needed to learn then that’s a good start. Acquisition of knowledge is very essential prior to developing your skills and strategies from your personal experiences in the market. That will increase the chances for a successful bitcoin investing. However, if you invest just for quick profits without exerting a lot of effort to learn, then it’s like gambling your capital. Your money and time will certainly go into waste.
900  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which one of this is important most? on: July 08, 2023, 07:48:08 PM
I have been thing of this thread for a while now and I have checked a little if there's any but I haven't seen any of it , so a beginning to ask if the post is not quality enough to be posted on this forum or if my research wasn't well searched.
The illustration of this topic is kinda common these days on the forum and the new comers (brawn new and newbies) I don't know if other top ranked users make such mistakes, some of these users post things thinking they can be merited but forgotten about there reputation on the forum, some of these users don't know that their reputation is more important than there ranked on the forum, so it keeps me wondering about merits and reputation which one of this is more important in the forum?.
Both are actually very important if you want to be a significant member in the forum. Merit is highly needed because that will enable your account to rank up until you hit that legendary level. The higher your position will be, somehow people will look up to you as a highly important member because of your helpful posts in the forum. At the same time, having a good reputation is also very vital. You will never stay longer in the forum if you have no good reputation, and you will never gain respect and value from other people if your personal identity causes destruction to the rest of the members.
