901  Economy / Services / Re: I'll Do Odd Jobs for You on: December 27, 2023, 01:58:30 PM
When it comes to Bitcoin, yes anything is possible (including you offering to pray for members).

You keep pushing forward your offer of work but you do not elaborate on anything specific. What are the chances you will start mentioning the actual work you are capable of doing? Also, the thing we have to remember is that you will never do any jobs face to face with any members here therefore what are your skills for working online for them?

Any member is free to suggest an odd job for Bitcoin. Anything is possible.
902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: December 27, 2023, 12:47:26 AM
These are how the games ended:

Newcastle United 1-3 Nottingham Forest
Bournemouth 3-0 Fulham
Sheffield United 2-3 Luton Town
Burnley 0-2 Liverpool
Manchester United 3-2 Aston Villa

With a new manager at Nottingham Forest, they went to Newcastle and won the game 1-3. Liverpool are definitely finishing the season in the top four because the way they are playing they seem unstoppable. I am sure they will finish above Arsenal therefore could be champions.

From being outplayed and being 0-2 down at half-time to Aston Villa, somehow Manchester United came out in the second half as though they were a different team. They won the game 3-2. Well done to Luton Town again, the Premier League new boys have won back to back games.

The account has been deliberately provocative for far too long and not only that, he is a troll who quite clearly has given up on trying to utilise the account via a signature campaign and has resorted to making a nuisance of himself because he has far too much free time on hand.

On top of that, he is misusing the name of someone who does not even know his name is being used in such a manner to create the fiasco in the first place.

I second the motion. Having a retard like that who keeps opening stupid threads while boasting about his supposed superiority because of his supposed PhD does not bring anything good to the forum.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 12:11:00 AM
These are the games taking place on Tuesday 26th December

Newcastle United vs Nottingham Forest
Bournemouth vs Fulham
Sheffield United vs Luton Town
Burnley vs Liverpool
Manchester United vs Aston Villa

-----

^  Wow United and Chelsea shouldn't expect anything now at the this point forward of their campaigns...  :/  Something is def wrong and sometimes nobody, not even themselves could figure it out.  We've seen managerial changes, player changes and even ownership changes but they still get sht results.  Lol.

Anyway what are everybody's leans for this round's fixtures?  At first glance I like Newcastle -1 at 1.78, Bournemouth ML at 2.20 and Aston Villa draw no bet at 1.86...  What do you guys think?
You can add Manchester City to that list too and with the previous bad run suffered by Tottenham before they picked up points again, they can be added too because that is how unpredictable the season has been.

Will Luton Town take at least a point at Sheffield United, I would go for a draw. I think Aston Villa should win the game because Manchester United under current form can be beaten by any team and Aston Villa are playing excellent. Nottingham Forest could hold out of a draw away at Newcastle United. You would expect Liverpool to beat Burnley.
905  Other / Meta / Re: Admin/Mods: Please ban "jvanname" on: December 26, 2023, 12:04:41 AM
No, I decided to ask the fake "jvanname" to prove he is who he claims to be but he asked for money instead: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478320.msg63373409#msg63373409

Also, a look at his feedbacks shows he has been accused of fraudulent activity going back to 2021 when he asked members to pay money to join his Telegram group but later banned them and did not give refunds. There is a pattern at work here and that is because he is a scammer that is impersonating someone else.

Have you tried to contact the "real" Joseph Van Name?
906  Economy / Reputation / Re: GazetaBitcoin and his shenanigans. on: December 25, 2023, 11:21:33 PM
I agree with you, I also think he is the one not behaving himself. Royse777 has a habit of digging a hole and climbing in to it. What is he trying to achieve by bringing more unnecessary focus to a subject that really does not deserve it. He was attacking icopress and GazetaBitcoin in various threads recently and now he has created another one to extend the feud.

I would definitely question the manner in which Royse777 conducts himself as a campaign manager but have not contacted any prospective clients looking for a campaign manager to advise them to stay away from Royse777. If they read the feedback and believe the nonsense he feeds them about why he received negative tags unfairly (or via a vendetta), they deserve each other as far as I am concerned.

If Royse777 can write to promoters advising them to ditch icopress or any other campaign manager then he has lost the moral high ground when it comes to others writing to promoters that he works for therefore I have no idea why he is complaining at every opportunity about other members.

You gotta be kidding me  Huh I saw the last thread you created and I think you're the only one not behaving too well.

Please check this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478320.msg63373409#msg63373409

You refused to verify your identity by simply changing the TikTok comment? You are asking for money in advance before you verify your identity? You are a scammer.

Well, on that note after reading your nonsensical excuse to not verify your real identity, it is clear you are not whom you claim to be and you are simply tainting the name of someone you have a grudge against. You went through all this charade just for the sake of taking every opportunity in every post you made, just to ensure you posted his name thus tried to associate him with the utter nonsense you continue to post.

I have added you to my ignore list and have also left appropriate negative trust for impersonating someone from the Department of Mathematics & Statistics from a University.

Are you going to add a video to the profile here: https://www.tiktok.com/@jvanname

Are you going to change the TikTok profile from: "Ph.D. in Math. All algorithms are my own." to "The people on this site promote violence against me"

As mentioned before, the smart money is on you coming up with a multitude of pathetic excuses why will be unable modify the text of your own TikTok account but we are all ears. Well?

My services are not free. Please pay me at https://github.com/sponsors/jvanname if you want me to prove myself to you. And then please pay me at https://github.com/sponsors/jvanname for the damages that you have caused by your defamation and annoyances.

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

================================================

This "jvanname" account pretends to be the real Joseph Van Name Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He is asking for money before he is willing to verify his identity.

Please ban this account either for soliciting for money under the guise of hijacking the name of a reputable member of society (the real Joseph Van Name Ph.D. from the University of Florida) or for flooding the Reputation board with utter nonsense that should not be allowed to remain.

We are after all hoping to have a forum free from spam.
908  Other / Meta / Re: Thanks button and more on: December 24, 2023, 11:01:07 PM
If OP's really new in the forum it's a process he'll learn like we did. He'll ask questions to understand what's the way here. The problem's happen when ppl who aren't newbies ask questions. How many ppl don't know how merits work. If they've found the forum they've studied what's going on before they've registered.

I don't think op deserve any insult because he does not understand how the forum works. We should always easily correct people especially when they do not understand how the system works. Some persons were advising op to give out merit as a means of saying thank you. How would someone that do not have merit nor understand how the merit system works to give merit? That should be so because the forum is seen like a regular social media when people come and enquire about something, if they get answer to there enquiry, thank you would be the compliment not sharing merit just like the person opinion I saw on this thread.
909  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 24, 2023, 08:33:49 PM
It has been that long since I posted about Chipmixer, I was relying on memory that was why the 7GB/7TB error could happen. You are right it was 7TB of data but having said that, it was never made public as to what was actually found on the disk.

Going back to the period when Chipmixer was seized, it was commented as possible that the disk size was 7TB yet the actual data on it could have been (and most probably would be) much less. The logs (as you stated) would not have taken up a lot of space therefore much is shrouded in mystery.

Terabytes.

Yeah, we have no idea what was there. The blockchain is not even 10% of that. Logs don't take up more than a couple of megabytes.
910  Other / Meta / Re: Do Users Own Their Posts? Is There a Compelled License for User Content? on: December 24, 2023, 08:22:15 PM
I am surprised this question has not been asked before (or maybe more appropriately, I have not seen it being asked). As it is a forum one would expect there to be no ownership over the posts therefore anybody could use what was written regardless of the author. If that were the opposite it could involve legal complications.

Reporting plagiarised posts and other contraventions would be classed as local rules for this forum rather than legislation. Other than that I would suspect you would have to add licences to every post you make in order to allow others to use what you wrote if your claim ownership, however once it is posted online I suppose it defeats the object.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: December 24, 2023, 07:37:01 PM
These are the results of the games played over the weekend:

Sunday 24th December
Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 Chelsea

Saturday 23rd December
West Ham United 2-0 Manchester United
Fulham 0-2 Burnley
Luton Town 1-0 Newcastle United
Nottingham Forest 2-3 Bournemouth
Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Everton
Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal

Chelsea just cannot string two wins together and the same for Manchester United. Congratulations to Luton Town on beating Newcastle United on their return to the Premier League.

While Liverpool and Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw, it was Tottenham that took three points to close the gap at the top of the table as they beat Everton.
912  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'll Pray for You ... on: December 24, 2023, 07:32:35 PM
What disappoints me is that you felt really good for a few seconds only? A prayer by the OddJobsForBitcoin member of thinking about Elle, well there is no comparing the two. Mentioning her name when you could have gone with someone more current, that is going back a good few years Vod and tells your age  Grin

Shall we all just put the OP out of his misery and make a small donation to his prayer service?

So he thinks about me, and feels good.  How does that benefit me?

I thought about Elle Macpherson last night, and felt really really good for a few seconds.  I hope she appreciates it!
913  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 24, 2023, 07:19:49 PM
Eh, depending on the mixer. For all we know, ChipMixer wasn't keeping logs. What's the point of keeping logs if you are not a honeypot?~snip~
I'm surprised that you wrote something like this, considering that we established a long time ago that CM kept absolutely everything, from logs to private keys and vouchers, and that everyone who kept their funds on those PKs and vouchers lost their BTC. If my memory serves me well, the official information is that 7 GB of data was seized.
If I recall correctly, when the news broke about Chipmixer getting seized it was mentioned that a disk with 7GB of data was recovered. It was never stated by an law enforcement agency what was contained in that 7GB of data.

I'm surprised that you wrote something like this, considering that we established a long time ago that CM kept absolutely everything, from logs to private keys and vouchers
We know that it kept private keys and 7 TB of data in total, but that's all we know. I don't remember the feds bragging about logs, can you give me evidence of "absolutely everything"? (Vouchers were pretty reasonably kept in their database)
That is also my understanding, I cannot recall it ever being announced as to what was found to be on the disk (if anything) but if anything on the contrary has been stated I would like to be corrected. An operating system could have been part of that 7GB, we simply do not know.
914  Economy / Services / Re: I'll Do Odd Jobs for You on: December 24, 2023, 06:29:12 PM
Why not Grin

I'm taking more odd jobs folks.
Are you going to elaborate on what types of odd jobs you are willing to take and what they entail as well as the odd jobs you would not consider taking. If your service is to ever be in demand, you will need to make efforts to win clients. LinkedIn, website, social media and alike, you should be going the extra mile to promote yourself.

Do you need someone to keep an eye on something for you this holiday? We can arrange something...
In which country do you operate? Are you available to travel from one place to another or is this a purely remotely based service you offer?
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: December 23, 2023, 01:15:46 PM
And what United really needs is a manager that could rebuild the club.  They don't need somebody to get them back to title contention.
We agree Ten Hag is definitely not that manager  Grin

These are the games taking place today 23rd December:

West Ham United vs Manchester United
Fulham vs Burnley
Luton Town vs Newcastle United
Nottingham Forest vs Bournemouth
Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton
Liverpool vsArsenal

We are approaching half-time and the score is 0-0 between West Ham and Manchester United in the early kick-off game.

Your education is not the same education as the real Joseph Van Name from South Florida University. Shame on you for using his name to create a fake profile.

If you are really whom you claim to be, as stated in another thread, just go to the TikTok profile of the real Joseph Van Name (https://www.tiktok.com/@jvanname) and change the profile status. It currently shows "Ph.D. in Math. All algorithms are my own."

If you change it to "I am jvanname on Bitcointalk" then you are obviously him. Until or unless then, stop dragging the name of someone you obviously have a grudge against, through the mud.

919  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 22, 2023, 06:15:33 PM
I am curious, why would go back and delete any posts if there is no requirement?

If we all started going to back to any/all posts related to mixers (or any banned subject) then a phenomenal amount of posts would disappear for public to access. Those posts form part of the fabric of the history of this forum therefore if there is no contravention of rules and no compulsion on part of theymos, why would consider deleting them?

I will go back and delete these posts after Christmas.
920  Economy / Reputation / Re: The people on this site promote violence against me. on: December 22, 2023, 06:08:54 PM
If you really are whom you claim to be, you will have absolutely no problem by adding a video to your profile here: https://www.tiktok.com/@jvanname

Furthermore, where the TikTok profile states: "Ph.D. in Math. All algorithms are my own.", why not replace it with the words "Bitcointalk" or this thread URL just until it is seen by us and when we confirm we saw it you can put Ph.D. in Math. All algorithms are my own back.

The smart money is on you coming up with a multitude of pathetic excuses why will be unable modify the text of your own TikTok account but we are all ears.....

I have a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Hmm. Why would a person with a Ph.D. in Mathematics be interested in cryptocurrency technologies? Did you know that the elliptic curve cryptography that makes cryptocurrency technologies actually work is MATHEMATICAL? And you should take a look at the way that SHA-256 works. How would you analyze such a circuit? You would analyze it using mathematics. You doubt that I am who I say I am because you hate mathematics because you are an anti-intellectual. I really do not appreciate your false accusations. That is absolutely asinine. You should be deeply ashamed of yourself. Please learn some mathematics so you do not continue to make a fool of yourself.

Universities promote violence. The truth hurts. Stop denying the truth because that just makes you look like a bunch of dubblegussers.
