921  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Pizza Day - Why old members are no longer active here on: June 24, 2018, 09:38:10 PM
If the old timers are no longer using this forum, there must be a forum where they are still active... hmmm could it be reddit? (or have they been overrun by spammers as well?)
Seems the spammers are everywhere.... folks who post random stuff like they own the internet. spammers really clog the system. honestly!
Reddit? No way! Reddit is filled with half ass knowledge kids who live in a dream that BCH will be the next yet perfect version of bitcoin that ever existed. I'm not very sure of old members but I know some good posters who I used to look up to when I was a newbie aren't active anymore. A perfect example being Shorena/Mexxer-2.

Others who used to participate in discussions have just stopped posting or have engaged themselves with their services on bitcointalk.
922  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info is moving domain. on: June 24, 2018, 09:07:51 PM
We have been so used to Blockchain.info for years now, so I think it will be very strange to type in Blockchain.com when they move to the
new domain. <getting nostalgic now>  Grin
What so strange in it? You literally have to just type 3 letters? .info was a messed up domain for a commercial service anyway. They should have done the migrations ages back. I wish along with the migrations they solve the 100 other bugs existing in their current system.
923  Other / Meta / Re: [Guide] Reporting effectively on: June 24, 2018, 08:42:59 PM
I would like if you add a note or something that highlights how reporting stuff is always better than creating a new thread. For instance, a lot of new comers recently have started creating threads for stuff like "x User is shit-posting" or "x user is Trolling". An example thread for the same could be : Can this guy (cryptoaeronet) be ban?. This unnecessarily opens up a thread which instead can be effectively handled by the 'Report To Moderator' function by explaining the case properly.

I do report such cases very often and moderators do take the respective action..

Edit : To check your previous reports simply use this URL once you're logged in : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=reportlist;mine (doesn't work for all the accounts, I guess only works for accounts with good amount of reports)
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Walleting.Services] AUTOMATIC Bitcoin Fork Claiming: BTG BCD SBTC BCX BTCP BIFI on: June 24, 2018, 08:08:46 PM
Neat Stuff. Tried claiming a few forks but unfortunately had no coins on them. When are you planning to add new forks like BTH? The coin is already tradable on a few infamous exchanges. I sort of found a bug while selecting the fork options. The selection is not highlighted as soon the tabs for 'Electrum Seed'/'WIF' resulting in the menu not be updated. Like even when I selected WIF format the place to put my private keys didn't show up.
925  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos should remove self moderate option from service announcement ( Altcoins) on: June 24, 2018, 05:12:17 PM
I never seen any response from admin or medareror. Service Announcement (Altcoins)  board also not less important from meta. Because it's question of forum reputation and money of investor. If ICO team delete all bad comment them no one can know that this is scam project. I think self moderate remove from Service announcement ( Altcoins) ASAP.
1. Please stop creating threads about the topics which have been discussed a number of times already.
2. This warning message is self -explanatory

Quote
Warning: Moderators do not remove likely scams. You must use your own brain: caveat emptor.
Sums up everything. If you aren't smart enough to figure out if a project is scam, you shouldn't be investing in the first place. The only people falling for such shit-coin scams are the one  wishing to get rich in two days. It's investors duty to search deeply about the projects before blindly sending them money. No action from forum staff is required.

927  Other / Meta / Re: List of Accounts which Needs a Ban [ICO pumping accounts] on: June 23, 2018, 04:14:29 PM
Please read this post. They should be ban also due to ANN bumping.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4520396.0
Sure mods have all the time in the world to go through your post and selectively check post history of every account in that thread to ban them. You should just link the profiles of the accounts that you think need a ban.
928  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bumping ROOMDAO ICO ANN on: June 23, 2018, 06:24:52 AM
List those accounts and report them in this thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2645450.msg26946665#msg26946665

Mods actively take action and ban the accounts posted there. Make sure you follow the format specified while reporting accounts.
929  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wapinter related with Scam? Why he repeat to promote ICO with fake team ? on: June 21, 2018, 08:57:24 PM
You and your friends have dirt on your hands too, I could dig deeper but no need.
You should have. (*Hint : You have already hit the bottom)

I have nothing personal against you, but before accusing someone of something make sure you are clean yourself. Why didn't you make your research as signature campaign OP before starting a sig campaign for a scammy project?
Oh he's clean.Very clean. I was one of the members who created the ANN thread and acted as a Development Manager for the project.Technically, you should directing your queries towards me and not the escrows involved. You went from defending Wapinter to attacking Lutpin. Must admit you are taking it way too personally.

931  Other / Meta / SportsBet.io keeps bumping their thread > 1 times a day (needs strict action) on: June 21, 2018, 09:05:44 AM
Sportsbet.io keeps bumping their thread multiple times a day as you can see here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1458034.msg40509630#msg40509630 Their thread never leaves the front-page of the gambling board as they keep posting something throughout the day. Yesterday after consecutively posting, I had reported the thread multiple times and one of the reports were handled. Again today, they're doing the same thing

(I'm pretty sure they will post more in a few hours to come)

This is not the first time I have reported them. The continue to do the same knowing it is against the forum rules. I hope this is not overlooked upon and a more serious punishment like a temp ban is given this time.
932  Other / Meta / Re: Has the Merit faucet dried up? Solutions? on: June 20, 2018, 08:21:37 PM
This is the main reason why people aren't getting their posts merited--the only good sections of bitcointalk IMO are Meta and Reputation.
That is bad. Meta and Reputation are the boards where most of the forum politics, bitching takes place. I'm surprised you called them good sections because it dissolves the entire point of running a bitcoin forum. Most happening topics in those boards revolve around leaving feeback back to each other and how untrustworthy someone is.

Everything else is just a spam-fest,
Excluding Development & Technical Discussion/ Technical support sections.
933  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 🚫"COINECT " ICO is a well planed scam with fake team. Stay away🚫 on: June 20, 2018, 07:41:00 PM
Don't start a new thread for a similar topic. They are a scam and it's already proved here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4427056.0 Please lock this one and continue the discussions there.
934  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 20, 2018, 04:34:15 PM
Had that been the case, I don't think actmyname and DarkStar_ would have countered it(,unless you think actmyname and DarkStar_ are Anduck's alts and actmyname and DarkStar_ are also chipmixer shills, well....Digaran......)
Regardless, according to my trust settings both their feedback appear as untrusted so the counter part din't really had any effect.

Do you think that he red-rated me, because I didn't change my rating? If you think that's not the reason, why do you think he red-rated me?
13 pages of the thread, either you should have gotten the answer or you are just not digesting it. Either way, what I think doesn't really matter since feedback's are subjective and I can't tell Vod whom to trust.
935  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 20, 2018, 03:34:34 PM
Vod does seem to have left retaliatory feedback and the PM conversation is definitely not helping Vod's side. I had asked Vod a question a few days ago but it was buried, thanks digaran, so Vod do answer this: Why did you change your feeback to Anduck from neutral to negative, is it because Anduck said he doesn't trust you, so you wanted to change it?
Because he can? I'm not speaking on his behalf but I don't think he exactly owes you an explanation for that question. I used to trust a person somewhat and I don't feel like trusting him anymore, I can always change my feedback from neutral to negative? It's completely fine to do that provided a valid reason is tagged along with it.(which seems to be the case here)
936  Other / Archival / Re: How to complete a payment process in Amazon by BTC? on: June 20, 2018, 03:23:38 PM
Thanks for sharing about how to make payment with BTC. I have recently came to know about litecoin, do you think that that one can do it with litecoin.

Why litecoin mate, you can use the bitcoin directly to buy the products in the amazon.com via purse website. With this website all have the option to buy the things and additionally you will get the points to make the more purchase with half the price bro.

There is the no way to use the btc on amazon expect this.
There are ways you can use bitcoin to buy stuff from amazon.Obviously not the amazon supported ways but third party services.Purse.io have had some serious accusations of stealing bitcoins and not delivering products. I would be careful using their service.
937  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unable to Load Transaction from Text and Sign It on: June 20, 2018, 03:16:32 PM
Did you get more than one copy of the first signed file from the other party?
If not then you should probably ask for another just in case your signed file has been corrupted along the way.
No it isn't corrupted.I'm able to decode it properly.

Check that it's definitely the right wallet you're trying to sign the transaction in also.
That could be the problem. First party have signed it using Bitcoin Core which I believe is not compatible with Electrum since it's a HD wallet.

first make sure you have installed the latest version of Electrum which currently is 3.1.3 (https://electrum.org/#download). it is a common problem that people try to sign a transaction made by a new version, in an old version and the old version fails to understand (parse) the transaction. that is why the dialog closes.

Updated the version and now it throws an error. Unhandled expression, please report the issue.List-Index out of bound exception.

to make sure your transaction is fine you can a use an online decoding tool to verify it. like this one: https://btc.com/tools/tx/decode if something is wrong with it then you will see an error saying "Decode failed"
Nope the JSON is valid.
938  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project badly in need of work on: June 20, 2018, 03:07:15 PM
The quality of this forum deteriorates by the minute.  I remember years ago reading a post about how to make a bitcoin hardware wallet by soldering wires together from electronic boards.  Now there's scams and people asking stupid questions and answers are even more stupid.   Huh
That is how the revolution will be. Back in the day people dreamt of flying in the air and making a bomb that could destroy the other country, now we have selfie sticks and cat-brushes.We really are progressing backwards. I agree with you the projects posted here on daily basis are worthless. Most of them are 'crypto-profile-management' or 'price-tickers',we don't want that kind of negativity around here.
939  Other / Meta / Re: There must be an accredited Bounty Manager in Bitcointalk.org on: June 20, 2018, 02:30:31 PM
There are so many bounty managers here but do we know who to choose? I am suggesting here that what if, bitcointalk.org must have an accredited "Bounty Managers" ? Those bounty manager must under go on,
Who decides that? We don't want to centralise the forum than it actually is.

1. Verification, the purpose of it is to know if that person really exist.
No. Pretty sure people love anonymity and let's keep it that way. From what I have seen, managers willing to dox themselves over bounty management would be the incompetent ones.

2. Capable,  in managing the project and has a complete team members because he/she can't handle it alone.
Again, who creates such metrics ?

3. Membership, bitcointalk.org must set a requirements to become a "BM", rules and regulation to be among the most trusted and accredited BM in bitcointalk.org.
How about someone starts offering a course in Udemy about 'Journey to become a Trusted Bounty Manager on Bitcointalk' ?
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Preferred crypto betting site ? on: June 20, 2018, 02:19:40 PM
Didn't see BetKing.io mentioned yet even considering it's one of the oldest sites, most trusted sites.
Time flies isn't it? You gotta keep up with the market trends to continue be at the top. Las time I checked you were selling the website. what happened to that? Or it is under the new administration already?

But then I don't pay anyone to come in and pretend to vote on their favorite Smiley
Technically speaking, it's called marketing and that's how it is suppose to work. Why would other companies invest a good amount of money in the signature campaigns anyway.
