941  Other / Meta / Re: How do you upload a photo on bitcointalk.org???? on: June 20, 2018, 01:51:33 PM
If I read above I have to wait at least for 30 days to post image?  Huh
No, you don't have to. You can buy a copper membership as described in this post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.msg24371150#msg24371150

Additonal I need to do some post. I am just wondering why such restrictions exists.
If we allow all the newbie accounts to post images, it wouldn't be hard to create bots which overload the servers by uploading a number of images at the same time. No bot developer would pay per account to buy copper membership.
942  Other / Meta / Re: List of Accounts which Needs a Ban [ICO pumping accounts] on: June 19, 2018, 11:08:06 PM
This thread appears to be getting some attention by staff so I'll quote lists I had made in another thread here also:
If you give admins posts in this format, they're likely to not do anything. You should try to make it easier for them to take an action quickly without having to navigate links. You don't really want them to open profiles and then check the posts. Either way, this thread is only meant to report ICO pumping accounts.

More accounts involved in plagiarism.
If they're copy-pasting stuff, report them in LoyceV's plagiarism thread.

Put him on ignore and lock this thread. Forum is beautiful as it is
944  Bitcoin / Electrum / Unable to Load Transaction from Text and Sign It on: June 19, 2018, 06:41:58 PM
Trying to sign a transaction which requires multiple signatures. Other party have done their part and forwarded it to sign and broadcast from my end. After selecting Load Transactions -> From Text -> (Paste the transaction here), nothing happens. The dialogue closes but no transaction is seen. Is this a known bug in electrum or I'm missing out on something?
945  Other / Meta / Re: Would sending private message to lots of people for Airdrop resulting a Ban? on: June 19, 2018, 12:00:53 PM
Is it spamming if you are sending messages to an opt in list
I'd rather they did that than spammed the boards

Oh I almost missed that opt-in part. If members have subscribed for the service then it's totally fine to send them a PM.

@Loyce - The best way to do it without a lot of programming would be Selenium Web Drivers. I had a similar situation a few days back where I'm suppose to forward the same message to a number of contacts on WhatsApp. I used a Selenium Web Driver to open What'sApp Web which reads the contacts from a data file, searches them in the WhatsApp list,if found a message is sent to them.Took me about 3 hours to set everything up.
946  Other / Meta / Re: Would sending private message to lots of people for Airdrop resulting a Ban? on: June 19, 2018, 11:50:10 AM
I see a business opportunity, but I'd need a bot to send the PMs.
Are you being sarcastic? I will instantly report any PM coming from a bot.

I can imagine services would be willing to pay for this. Scraping an opt-in thread is easy. If someone can recommend a PM-bot, I'll create an opt-in for airdrop PMs.
That's even worse. Basically, you will be paid for spamming PM's with unsolicited advertisements.
947  Other / Meta / Re: Captcha on: June 19, 2018, 10:29:19 AM
The thing with reCaptcha is the more of them you do the more difficult Google makes them to solve.
Wrong.Where did you get that information from? (Being someone who constantly keeps digging deep in their new 'I'm not a Human' AI stuff, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way)

- > It all revolves around risk-analysis which is the underlying principle of reCaptcha.

- > I won't elaborate much but once the captcha is initialised on a webpage, that is the widget, information of user's browser is sent to the server.Data about site's cookies, Ip etc are also sent to the server where it is run through their 'risk-analysis-engine'.(I don't think this engine is open-sourced to know how stuff happens internally).

- > If verified successfully by the engine, a shared token along with  the IP address is sent back in the response.Additionally this resides in the browser as a cookie. If an IP is white listed,it doesn't matter how many accounts you use to login with the same IP, captcha re-captcha will always allow you to pass. Unless you are making a number of requests at the same time which often is the case when a DDOS takes place.

- > Basically, the first verification from a particular browser/IP/human checks which are ran through the risk-analysis engine decides if that IP should be white-listed.

The people complaining about the login to the forum captcha are probably running dozens of accounts and have to keep logging in and out all day.
Provided, they are changing IP's, using a VPN and or using incognito tabs.

--snip--
Now I'm starting to doubt your company. Not because whatever OP mentioned but you're dodging the questions asked. Why is your website down? Why did you hire a low quality translator for your website when you have successfully raised 20Mill? If you cannot explain this, I will certainly start taking OP's claims more seriously.
949  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trying to remember a website name on: June 18, 2018, 11:29:59 PM
As the title says, I am trying to remember a website name.

The site provides solutions to accept Bitcoin payments. Basically, you install the API/plugin/shortcode into your website and users can so pay with BTC. Once the payment is received you can receive the equivalent in fiat to your Papal account. It's like Bitpay but instead, your site>>your bank account it's your site>>your Paypal account

Anyone?
There are couple of services which provide similar service.I'm not sure what exactly you're looking for but I will list whatever I could find anyway. Also, I haven't really used any of these services so do your own research before using them. I'm just listing down all of them hoping luckily you'd come across the one you're looking for.

950  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want to create a new Blockchain using Python on: June 18, 2018, 11:12:55 PM
I don't think Python is good choice for making a blockchain. For one is not as "secure" as you think it is. Other reason is, its really really slow. I know it does not matter RIGHT NOW but as blockchain becomes bigger you will notice the difference. I see a trend currently, making a blockchain with Go which is a great choice if you ask me. Anyways I just looked over an article that you posted, making a blockchain is easy in any language if you understand the theory behind it. What is hard to make is consensus algorithm and peer connection.
I agree with you.Although python is super fast when it comes to stuff like AI and calculations but building a scalable architecture is always been the C++'s thing. On a design level, it falls down to the language you're using is compiled or interpreted.Although Go is suitable for such project, I wouldn't recommend it since it doesn't have a big of a community hence C++.

Back on topic, Python is very accessible and you might get a lot of help since its considered the easiest language to learn, but trade-off is that its slow because its not compiled to machine code (its does not run directly on CPU), but instead to bytecode and its running on VM ("interpreter" they like to call it).
We're on the similar pages here. Smiley
951  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CUBAAZ SCAM Exposed: CUBAAZ shut down & Mickael Mosse ranway with $ 20 M on: June 18, 2018, 10:50:14 PM
The way I see it, right now the thread has irrelevant content with no actual proof from either ends. All I know is the website at http://cubaaz.io/ is shut-down and I would like to know why? If the site is shut down, what about the money investors had put in your ICO?

If you are not able to show concrete proofs and give your real name then stop talking, nobody will believe your lies.

He proved your website is shut-down and it is?

@ Slow Death, You're not an authorized person to whom I need to show the evidences. Even I don't know who you are? You are taking interest in this case, might be this is the other fake id of Cubaaz Team.
If the case is on bitcointalk and not in a self moderated thread, anyone with interest is free to take 'interest' in the case.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔵🔺[BOUNTY] KONIOS - The Biggest Bitcoin Paid Bounty Campaign Sofar! on: June 18, 2018, 10:32:59 PM
Due to the nature of this campaign, funds can not be escrowed. We have successfully raised the soft cap and we are confident that the upcoming ICO will hit the hard cap. We are committed to pay the participants from the amount raised. Please do your due diligence before participating in our campaign. Your participation implies that you understand the risk involved.
Contact us anytime if you have questions!

1.The title is very misleading. How it can be the biggest bitcoin paid campaign when there are clearly 'risks involved'?

2.Successfully raising the soft cap is a good news but it doesn't guarantee that they will be able to reach the hard-cap for whatever reasons.

3.You are ban evading and promoting shady projects with false information as this one.I request you to edit the title and move this thread to Alt-coin bounties or something. There is no bitcoin involved right now and doesn't guarantee it ever will be.
953  Other / Meta / Re: A way to filter out bogus accounts on: June 18, 2018, 10:17:07 PM
I would be willing to do KYC to keep my account!
You remind of the type of people who are ready to do their KYC's for the bounty tokens.

If you knew what I have gone through as a scam buster with my identity known, you would realize this is a bad idea.  :/
Have been there and I admit, people have threatened to hurt me in real life and rape my little sister (if I had one). Knowing that my dox resides in a cloud, I'll be exposing myself to a number of criminals.
954  Other / Meta / Re: List of Accounts which Needs a Ban [ICO pumping accounts] on: June 18, 2018, 10:02:26 PM
Thanks! I hope mprep/hilariousandco notices the thread and bans them accordingly. It's obvious all of these thread bumping accounts are newbies which don't intend to rank-up or earn merits.Creating a new account to post in an ANN thread is easy. Even if the accounts are banned, account farmers would make a new one in minutes. Maybe forum staff should come up with some rules which will restrict newbies from posting in newly created ANN threads.
955  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 19 btc stuck on Fortune Jack!! on: June 17, 2018, 09:58:31 PM
I'd advise strongly against using Fortunejack.  This malicious website has refused to let me withdraw my winnings.  I will do everything I can to steer others away from this scam casino.

I started with a deposit of a few btc and eventually turned it into 19 btc but they will not let me  have access to my winnings!!!

Support has been zero help, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM CASINO

You're not the only one : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4482056.0 Apparently, the support is going to sort everything out by Monday. And FortuneJack being an 'unreliable' place to play is an old-news. You might as well need to post your conversations you had with their support here for you to be taken seriously. Not that I care but from their campaign manager,

Post some proof if you want anyone to take this seriously.
956  Other / Meta / Re: One small Forum improvement on: June 17, 2018, 09:43:37 PM
There could be new choices in Look and Layout Preferences such as:
1. Show merit posts at the top (click to activate). 2. Do not show topics that do not have merits.
That wouldn't work out or be an ideal solution to the problem. Posts are subjective, I can confirm I have come across posts which I find highly useful over the posts which have good number of merits. One would be limiting to a number of posts by using merit as the only filter segregate good posts. For instance, if I had activated the 'Show only merited posts filter', I would have never seen the post which turned out to be most useful for me.

958  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Message to all shitcoins, annyoing propagandacoins, runaway icos, and scamcoins: on: June 17, 2018, 09:11:04 PM
Initial Source Offering - Sounds New. Why don't you elaborate your thread a bit more instead of that cheesy message? Have heard about Security Tokens which are suppose to be future solution for the scam ICO's but offering sources  is not heard of. Will you be operating legally? As in obeying with the SEC stuff which also enforces taxes and stuff ? Most importantly, could the sources be traded on the exchanges? Are there any exchanges which support your idea?
959  Other / Meta / Re: This is why merit sources shouldn't be known publicly. on: June 17, 2018, 08:14:15 PM
I received this pm from a senior member
Quote
Hey Bud,

I want to rank up my bct profile at some point in the future (I know it's a while until the next rank) but was wondering what I would need to do in order to get some merit? Or if you could throw me some that'd be awesome.

Let me know

Thiis is bad from a number of aspects. If he doesn't know what to do, then he isn't reading the threads, or supporting the forum. A lazy poster like that shouldn't be getting merits anyway. I was in a good mood, so I just put him on ignore, but I usually report the begging spam.
- If you can disclose the profile, they should be tagged for begging merits.
 - Why are you hiding the profile anyway? It's good that the merit sources are disclosed so when a merit beggar like him shows up, it will be easier for DT members to tag them.
960  Other / Meta / Re: Most of bounty manager's are too careless about scam ICO. on: June 17, 2018, 08:10:21 PM
Recently I have found two ICO with fake team.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4467496.0
I checked that out and your proof is solely based on google images. Have you tried messaging them about the same? I mean what if they actually are in the same team and working remotely? How would you distinguish a legit linkedIn profile used in a scam ico from the original one?

But what about participant who had joined their bounty if scam ICO? They spend time on bounty.
First thing first, bounty participants are too careless when it comes to things like finding a legit ICO.If you are going to spend a few weeks/months advertising someone, you should at least take 10 minutes out of your copy-pasting life to check if they're promoting a legit company. Reputed bounty managers will do their homework but what if a bounty is managed by someone new to the forum? Their reputation/experience wouldn't count hence bounty participants shouldn't blindly advertise whatever they see.
