When will we stop living for the weekend? Escaping the 9-5 life

Maybe when we don't have to live in the reality and stick with our own fantasy? Perhaps being dead or being an old retired pensioner are the only way I guess LOL!
I totally get your point because most probably we are all asking the same question whenever we get tired, exhausted, and drained after a long week of work. This is like a daily reminder that reality sucks.
Though there are a handful of ways where you can travel while you're working. One of these is having a job where it doesn't need for you to go the office, but to work remotely. I've seen a lot of freelancers doing this kind of routine. However, it still doesn't stop the 'living for the weekend" and escaping 9-5 life cycle.
Things have changed altogethet. Life is no longer a 9 to 5 job these days people work as per their comfort and taste and earn with both the hands
I believe if you really want to stop from living with it, you are free to make a choice and start making a change in yourself. You just have to take the courage, otherwise you’ll be living with it for the rest of your life. And here comes crypto which is right in time. You can make it as a side hustle and when you think you have already established your finances from it, then work on it as full time while having another business that will give you a passive income.
942  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin as a retirement plan for my parents on: June 03, 2023, 06:13:46 PM
it's hard to convince someone who already strongly believes that something like Bitcoin is nothing but a scam. also, it will be bad if you somewhat convince your parents to invest in Bitcoin and then Bitcoin suddenly suffers a dip, it would further strengthen their belief that Bitcoin is a bad investment or a scam and would probably force you to withdraw at a loss just to save the remaining value. to be honest it would be best to leave them be and just do what you plan to do, which is investing in Bitcoin using your own money. who knows perhaps if your investment gave you profit they might become interested in investing in Bitcoin.
Do not convince your parents to invest in bitcoin especially if they are against in it in the first place. Otherwise, you will only take the blame once their investment does not work according to the plan. Instead, show them your profits once you experience a big break in bitcoin. Maybe that will help change their minds and will start to be open-minded on the potentials of bitcoin. And they will be the one to take the initiative and research on how to succeed with bitcoin.
943  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not about to give up hope. on: June 03, 2023, 05:57:00 PM
I think in the crypto world, going through hard times or losing is part of the game. However, it is important to have a strong mindset and not give up when difficulties arise. Because keep in mind that losses in the crypto market are risks that must be faced and acknowledged. Instead, failure should be used as a lesson and motivation to learn more, evaluate investment strategies and correct mistakes. Additionally, having the ability to speed up recovery after a loss or failure in the crypto market is the key to being successful in the long term.

Apart from that, it is also important not to give up after experiencing failure in investing in crypto. Instead, crypto investors must learn from mistakes, evaluate investment strategies and continuously adapt to market changes.
But we should also learn to accept that even if crypto is for everyone, but not everyone is capable to overcome from its losses and failures, especially for those who have weak hearts that easily faint whenever they faced stress and pressures in the volatile market. But remember that a quitter never wins, and a winner never quits. So if you want to succeed from your previous mistakes and losses, know that there’s always a time for a good recovery. You just have to be patient and learn to take it easily.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: June 03, 2023, 05:32:26 PM
I would prefer to save my money in bitcoin for long term, the key word being long term. Bitcoin is a volatile asset, so if it’s money I may need anytime soon then I would be a good idea to save it in the bank. Saving money in the bank isn’t an investment, the primary function of the banks is to protect customers money and give loans to customers when needed.
That’s it. You could save a good amount of money in a bank while you are still investing with bitcoin in the long term. But my advice is that never invest all your hard-earned money, let half of it becomes your personal savings and save for emergency funds as well, and maybe half of it is for your investment. As for investment, do not just focus on bitcoin but learn to diversify too. Invest in gold and stocks as well, but put a bigger portion for bitcoin.
945  Economy / Speculation / Re: FTX recovered $7.3B in Assets and is considering restarting! on: June 02, 2023, 09:53:52 PM
it's a good thing if FTX is right to restart their Exchange,
It might be a good thing for you, but try to think logically, will the old ppl trust them again after such a big mess?

yes this is still a long time ago and while FTT prices are still very cheap, I'm wondering if this is the right time to buy FTT?.
I won't recommend this at all. Once a scam is always a scam. Maybe someone who sleeps with money everyday on the bed might throw some bucks on this again.
Exactly. Once it’s reputation has been destroyed, it’s hard to trust it again and sees like nothing has happened. FTX might create better plans and might be wiser on its comeback, but I don’t think the people will eventually bite their offer again. Once it has been scammed, I guess it has all the chances that it might repeat again maybe not now, but in its least unexpected days.
946  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the most significant trading sacrifice you believe you have made? on: June 02, 2023, 09:23:51 PM
If you have been full-time into trading for one to three years, what has been the greatest sacrifice you've made to become a successful trader? And did it pay off?

Someone I know who a seven-figure trader is now made the sacrifice of moving into a shared apartment with a friend just to save money. Another person, who had previously started a logistics company, sold off his trucks and used the money for trading. Another person had to pay to be mentored. He did this because the mentor said people do not appreciate free things, and if he were not making the sacrifice of paying out of pocket, he probably would not be serious and would take it for granted. These people cited in here went on to become successful traders. It paid off.
There are certain risks and sacrifices that you have to deal with if your aim is to gain life changing profits in the future. And yes, anyone can do that but know that for some, no matter how they tried in trading, it’s just that they are not good enough, instead they keep on losing their funds than to gain significant profits. However, trading for me is only a side hustle so it’s okay for me if I only gained small profits as long as they are happening consistently. And most important is, my losses do not exceed my profits and that keeps me motivating to improve my trading as much as possible.
947  Economy / Economics / Re: My wealth plan for next 3 years on: June 02, 2023, 08:23:24 PM
Note, it is not advisable to take a loan to buy Bitcoin, this may be a suicide mission because of what will happen if Bitcoin goes opposite your predictions because there is no certainty when the bull run will happen so what if Bitcoin didn't meet your price predictions?

The only way you can take such loans to buy Bitcoin is when the loan comes with zero interest rates for the long term, even at you still have Bitcoin volatility to consider.
Still, even if it’s zero interest, I would not advise anyone to take a loan and invest in bitcoin. Though bitcoin investment can be a profitable one, but it can also give you life changing losses especially if you are not patient and skilled enough when it comes to highly volatile investments. I believe inflation in the next years will be more inevitable, but always take caution when using your money, as you can only invest on what you can afford to lose.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 02, 2023, 07:21:19 AM
Well, the expected "blowout" I would say.

I said they will win by 15 or more and it looked that way after 3 quarter.
Left the off the gas paddle and lost the last quarter by 10 to win "only" be 11.

Still a good demonstration of what's to come in this series.

Jokic with a mandatory triple double on great shooting splits, this guy is just ridiculous. Without Butler having a good game and Robinson hitting some 3s Miami will be in BIG trouble!
This is how they should perform if they really want this as their first Championship.
Luckily I was able to place a bet with them since I'm really confident that they can beat Heat.
Heat should not expect for a luck this time as they are facing a tough team, and if they also want a win here they should start working out for this and do some extra effort in the court. Game 1 was clearly dominated by Denver as expected, they are the favorite team to win here.

It was a good bet on Game 1, with the Nuggets winning and covering the spread. However, personally, I wouldn't take the same bet for Game 2. Currently, the spread is -9, which I believe is quite high. I have a feeling that the Miami Heat will make significant adjustments and play harder than they did in Game 1. Therefore, I think it's a better idea to bet live during the game. The Heat might have a strong start, but the Nuggets are likely to finish well and secure the win. However, I have doubts that they will be able to cover the -9 spread.
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dad's retirement money is invested in Bitcoin! on: June 01, 2023, 09:44:27 PM
The pension money is not a bad idea if they already have gotten the gratiuity money and provident fund money from the government for serving in the military. That is a special quota and almost every country follow this norm so it is anyway irrespective of your nationality. If this is the case then go ahead and spend some money on bitcoin but do ask your fathers permission for the same. He must be very delightful about it and have his consent no matter what is the situation in your house. If everything comes to an agreement then I don’t think anything or anyone can stop you from investing that money for the good reasons.
Investing is actually a good idea since it’s enable you to grow your money and make more profits. But if you invest half of his pension funds, I don’t see it’s reasonable enough. You can actually invest but only with a minimal amount as losing from this type of investment is still inevitable particularly for beginners. But still whatever decision you have come up to, your father should agree with it because that’s his hard-earned money in the first place.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 01, 2023, 02:24:24 PM

Or maybe a good script can be process if ever that Blackwater will manage to reach the finals and face the visiting team, not saying that it's impossible but we never know what PBA is cooking for us, if they can see that money may flow if they can do things like this then why not? How team can win if the opponent got 7-8 players inside the court?
If you believe that there's a cooking show, they'll not choose a team that will reach the Finals that are not even popular with the fans, it will be too obvious that there's a cooking happening. And you know what? Who would watch the Blackwater in the Finals? I mean, can the league make a lot of money on that match-up? I'm sure they'll have a deficit on the outcome of the game.

So it's a big no, they'll probably bring a team that is popular like SMB, TNT, Ginebra, and maybe Converge or ROS.

Though, for me it's still Ginebra can bring a huge amount of profits if they will represent team PH battling against the visiting forces of the Chinese squad.

We are one on that, no team that could attract a lot of fans but the Gin Kings only.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: June 01, 2023, 01:26:17 PM
Don’t give advice if he is not asking for it also we are not a professional that can deal with this kind of psychological problem.

This is correct; we don't want to hurt people's egos by giving unsolicited advice. They already know that they are getting addicted to gambling. As a sign of respect, let them learn from their mistakes. Eventually, as they continue to lose and understand the damage they have done to their finances, they might seek help from people who also understand them. It's always right to wait and not judge them right away.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith AUG 19 2023 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: June 01, 2023, 12:08:16 PM
I thought Artur Beterbiev's next fight will be against Dmitry Bivol and he even voiced it out and express his interest in the post-fight interview after his dominant win against Anthony Yarde last January retaining his WBC, IBF, and WBO Light-heavyweight titles. I don't know what is the hindrance why Beterbiev-Bivol seems not a priority. Bivol's last fight was in November last year and yet no signs of his next fight.

I've just learned that the deal was won by the Top Rank Promotions.

And guess what, obviously as a champion, the purse split for this match is 70/30, in favor of Artur Beterbiev.

Because Beterbiev has a mandatory title defence against Smith. I think it was announced long time ago. And on time frame, Smith fought last fight was later than Bivols last fight. Smith has no time to wait, as his last fight was in August 20 2022. Cant find the link to article, but Smith fight Beterbiev due to some clause in contract, as the fight will be August 19 2023 - 364th day after his previous fight. Perhaps (but cant be 100% sure), but there must be a clause in his contract that he must fight one a year. Or he will be paid for a pause. Big bosses did not want to lose money, but preferred rather to earn. That is why we have this fight imho.

There's no problem with this fight, though Smith is also a decent fighter. However, we cannot ignore the majority's expectation that Beterbiev will have an easy win. Based on the poll results, all the voters have predicted 'Beterbiev by knockout,' implying that most people see this as a one-sided fight.

We don't need to speculate too much, let's just wait for the outcome of this fight, and hope that if Beterbiev will win the fight, he will go with a unification fight with Bivol.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 31, 2023, 05:53:17 PM
Another thing I dont like about Haney - WBC champion said ‘Fight a white boy 10 times, I’m going to beat him 10 times’ in reference to Vasyl Lomachenko. This is not the first time he is telling how "white boys" are weaker than "black".

It is often assumed that white individuals are the ones who exhibit racism, but in this case, it is the opposite. However, we should not generalize or label people based on their race, as racism has no place in our world. While it is true that black individuals excel in many sports, including the NBA where most superstars are black, it is important to recognize that racism is unacceptable. As a boxer, Haney should consider himself a role model and inspire people rather than causing harm. Criticizing Loma using racist comments not only hurts Loma personally but also reflects negatively on the country he represents, which is highly inappropriate.

Why doesn't he give Loma a chance for a rematch instead of talking so much? If he wins again, then he can speak however he likes. The problem is, his excessive talking doesn't help him sell future fights, especially when he engages in racist criticisms towards white people. This kind of behavior could alienate the millions of fans who are predominantly white. He should be cautious with his words and consider investing in public relations (PR) to manage his image effectively.

Wasn't really a wise choice because that statement he released will really make his image bad and could potentially ruin his career if his next few fights will sell much lower compared to what they had in Haney vs Loma fight where they only had below 200k PPV buys. What is the use of being a champion if organizers and promoters are already not making that much money out of him, sooner or later, he will be thrown under the bus if he will not rectify his moves and be cautious about the words.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 31, 2023, 03:56:23 PM
^^ Perhaps if the money is right then we might see this fight. It's good for the network and their promotions as both are two loud mouths, and Romero has a belt right now so Ryan might be interested seven if this is just the WBA belt that he is holding.

If Ryan was able to gave way to Tank's demand, then maybe Oscar can still work it out with with Showtime and PBC and this time, they would return the favor to him and let him handle it for DAZN.

That might be the case this time but considering that Rolly Romero is also now that WBA champion and Oscar's cow is just the challenger, there is also a chance that it might not be the case as PBC are still leaning on the A-side. Well, this fight could happen much sooner as long as both camps will come up with a deal which I think is possible before this year will end and as long as there is a hype surrounding the bout.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 31, 2023, 02:29:58 PM
On paper, it may seem obvious that the Nuggets would dominate, but at the moment, there's nothing I can criticize about the Heat as they have reached this level of competition from being the 8th seed in the regular season.

It's a Cinderella story for the Heat. No one expected them to reach this level, yet they have made it to the NBA Finals. It's not just Jimmy Butler; many undrafted players have helped him achieve success. Players like Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin have been consistently productive on both the defensive and offensive sides.

I have a feeling that what the majority is expecting may not actually happen. They believe it's a mismatch, but we might witness a very interesting series. Who knows, Miami might once again surprise the majority of us.

Who can actually believe and be confident about the Heat's journey this post-season if they just barely clinched a spot in the playoffs in the elimination of Play-in tournament because when they have been defeated by the Atlanta Hawks, I already though that the Chicago Bulls might be too much for them given their situation at that time.

But the Heat proved their worthiness in the league and the rest is a history for being the only team in the East to play in the second round of the playoffs. And again, they are being tested by the time and by the people's doubt because just like what the people believed when they were matched against the Celtics, it was the still same opinion now where almost everybody is saying that it will be a mismatch. So, let's see it first because I am actually predicting that the Miami Heat can take the first game on the road.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 31, 2023, 01:00:38 PM
Althoug I agree with you but I’m still thinking the possibility of choking since this is their first time. No matter how eager they are it’s very hard to win championship if you don’t have a mentality to do it which experience teach players.

You can't dismiss that possibility, considering it's their first time. Although their coach may lack experience in the NBA Finals, we know that Coach Spo is skilled at making the necessary adjustments to secure victory. While people focus on player matchups, it's important to understand that basketball is a team game, not just an individual one. Therefore, there is no such thing as a guaranteed winner in this matchup.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 31, 2023, 12:03:31 PM
As long Ginebra will reach the Finals, it will bring a lot of money to the league, so expect them to play against Bay Area in the season to come.

Actually, that's already given but let's try to think outside the box.

If the Bay Area Dragons will reach the Finals again, regardless of what local PBA team they are against, expect a crowd-stunning live audience. The reason? Simple, it's because the Finals is like Team Philippines versus a Foreign team so expect a home crowd support regardless of the odds.

Believe me, even for let's say the Blackwater Bossing led by Coach Jeffrey Cariaso with his All-Star cast, Jayvee Casio. Amer Baser and the rest of the gang will reach the Finals (don't laugh pls lol), if they are against the Bay Area Dragons, the Finals will be full of home crowd supporters.

That could possibly happen, and people will still show their support. However, I don't believe the arena will have as many spectators as when Ginebra is playing against a foreign team. When Ginebra reaches the Finals, at least people will believe they have a chance to win the championship again. In contrast, the Blackwater Bossing will be treated like the Miami Heat playing against the Denver Nuggets, where people perceive the chance of winning as very slim.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 30, 2023, 12:02:52 PM
A real champ is ready to fight anyone. If Haney thinks that he really won that fight, then he can beat Loma one more time, and one more, and many more times. But Haney seems to be only a champ in tweeting Cheesy

He made his decision, perhaps because he doesn't want to take any risks, knowing that Loma is capable of defeating him if they were to fight again. I understand that many fans may not appreciate Haney's style, so let's hope that in his next fight, he will suffer a loss and that will serve as a wake-up call for him to reassess his abilities as a boxer.

Loma does want a rematch, and it's likely that the fans desire it as well. However, just as when Manny Pacquiao asked for a rematch with Mayweather, it is uncertain if Loma will be granted the opportunity for a rematch.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 30, 2023, 11:11:02 AM

Very big question and only they can answer. The core players of Nuggets if you'll look at them, you really know the advantages, but
for sure Miami will find ways and locate the adjustments that they need to catch up.

The matchup will give Nuggets the high advantage, but same with all those teams that Miami beats during the playoffs up to ECF finals.

We will see how coach Spo and the guys will compete and try again to win the title.

It's quite evident from the betting odds on the respective teams to win the series. Currently, Miami is listed at +300, which implies a probability of only 25% to win. Thus, based on the betting odds, the Denver Nuggets are indeed considered the heavy favorites. However, in the NBA Finals, no team is likely to give up easily. If the Heat didn't surrender in Game 7, I'm certain they are a tough team to beat as well. Therefore, I expect to witness an entertaining series.
960  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto influencers secrets that all newbies should be aware of on: May 29, 2023, 09:54:13 PM
If you are actually wise and knowledgeable, regardless if you are a newbie or not, you will know from the start that crypto influencers are not there to help you become profitable, but to stay them at profits knowing they are being paid of what they supposed to write or tell. So never rely on crypto influencers as they will only push you into your own weaknesses. Have your own will to gain knowledge and skills, that way you’ll be free from the negative intentions of crypto influencers.
