941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 08, 2023, 07:24:59 PM
The thing is that the lottery or every other gambling is dependent on luck because the outcome is quite in two ways, I have a friend who played the American lottery some years ago, just one ticket and he win the prize right now he has relocated to the US for over 7 years now.

So the possibility of winning may be near zero, but if luck is on your side obe may end up winning, but it's better to limit the number in other not to get addicted.
We can't really imagine how people got crazy doing this when the situation is not fair - near to zero chances? We are just putting our future into almost nothing and besides, we never know when we become lucky and get the jackpot prize. Maybe some gamblers have been doing this for several years but got no luck, yet they are still buying tickets and joining lotteries hoping that one day they become a millionaire. I'd never say it was a big mistake but believing that this would be the last option to improve our finances, that was a big mistake.
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience. on: July 08, 2023, 12:41:39 PM
Bounty hunter patience and investor patience have significant differences. Bounty hunters focus on instant rewards over a short period of time, whereas investors have long term goals with greater financial risk. Investors also need in-depth knowledge and the ability to manage emotions related to market fluctuations, whereas bounty hunters tend to focus on specific contests or promotions.

Well, hunters don't invest money so they won't get tired of waiting, unlike investors who really have the time frame for when to upload their coins. And these hunters can't be considered an investor because they just hold unless they are buying these coins. Investors hold their coins because that was their plan but hunters do hold because their tokens are not yet listed on the market. Because if it is already available for selling, I was certain that there is no holding happening to them, instead they are selling them immediately once get their rewards.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: July 08, 2023, 12:06:19 PM
Generally, casinos or any platforms start a bug bounty program when they first launch their platform so that if users find any vulnerabilities or bugs in the platform, they report them to the management so that they can get a reward and they can improve their platform, and they stop that program after some time when they feel that there aren't any more bugs and vulnerabilities, only a few platforms would have such a program all the time.

So expecting something in return for reporting a bug or a vulnerability on a platform that doesn't have a bug bounty program going on is useless because you are not going to get anything at all unless it is something very serious and it could cause them huge losses, then they might think of giving you a few free spins.
However this attitude can cause bugs to go unreported, after all an honest gambler may not take advantage of the bug, but if there is no incentive for them they may not report it either, thinking the people responsible behind the website to check for those things will eventually notice it, however if they do not and the first one to notice it this time around is a cheater this could bring heavy losses to the casino, losses which could have been avoided with a bug bounty program.

That is why some sites offer rewards to those who can find bugs in the system. Though it was their part to investigate and look for some irregularities inside but as responsible gamblers, we also have to report even though we never get money because there is trust which is most important. As long as the site has not cheated anyone, they should also get respect and no reason to cheat. Cheaters could be found too easily, so we never have to try it because in the end, we are the only ones that suffer the most.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting Bitcoin on: July 08, 2023, 07:50:21 AM
Since I joined this forum I have always wanted to invest in Bitcoin however Bitcoin investments in my country is not easy because of our currency value and the government is not in much support am currently working on convincing my mom to accepting Bitcoin in her tailoring shop i Also intend on hodling those Bitcoins

I would appreciate any advice on this my move

The first thing to do is to keep your mom aware of the risk. You perhaps convince your mom but If I were you, I don't force her to decide about accepting Bitcoin if that is not yet totally legal in your country. I see your desire for it and offering another payment option to your clients, however, in a situation that you have, I will tell you that it was best to just hold and focus on investing as it was safer than accepting it as payment. Unless your mom agreed and has also the courage to take the risk and understand the volatility of the price.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How is your Gambling Pattern Like? on: July 08, 2023, 07:09:43 AM
one thing for sure is that once we can not control ourselves in gambling then we called ourself as an addict that every single day we need to gamble in order to fulfill our wants. That's why in every bet we made, we must make sure that we can handle ourself In order to get addicted. That's why in the world of gambling we must take care of our ourself and have a discipline.
Losing self-control in gambling is very possible, especially in casinos. Many interesting games make us want to try them one by one. And when we play a gambling game where we become very curious about the game, we might spend more time than before. And that's where the loss of self-control begins because we are triggered to gamble more than usual so that we use more money. And we usually have a schedule for playing gambling, but we can forget about it because of curiosity about the last gambling game we played.
Sometimes we can't go home until our pocket was empty. Because of the time that we won, we then think that we are too lucky this day and gamble more, and in the end, we emptied our pockets.

Of course, we can't say it was our style because we are able to control our emotions but for most gamblers, this is what really happens. And to say that gamblers are always a loser, however, I do believe that we are happy doing this which is why we keep on gambling.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Procrastination, Buy Bitcoin And Prepare For The Next Halving. on: July 07, 2023, 10:35:14 PM
I think it is a little bit too early to hype the "Halving"  Roll Eyes .... because it is only scheduled to happen next year around April. Yes, the impact of the "Halving" can be seen about one or two months before the actual "Halving", because the markets reacts before the actual event... but it is still too far in the future.

In any way... in my experience with the "Halving" ... I can honestly say that it has very little impact on the price. It will increase in the first two months before the event, when the media coverage highlight it.... and then it is gone.   Tongue
I'm not surprised that people are talking about halving as we are expecting something good things happen in the market. In fact, many speculations arise and most of them are positive.

Might it give impact only a little but remember that the mindset of the people had already changed as well, we never know if this coming halving will affect more on the price. Well, it was not the thing we looked for but the result after halving as the bull season is about to start as what I experienced in the past halvings.
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is right time for investment ? on: July 07, 2023, 10:13:31 PM

If you want to buy bitcoin at $30k, go ahead, because the current price is worth buying,
even Microstrategy has also bought Bitcoin at the current price so if we buy it, we will be like microstrategy.
so don't worry we are not alone.

It's not really the right mindset mate whenever you're buying something because it seems to me that you're just doing what everyone else is doing, instead, buy bitcoin or any other altcoin because you are inclined to it as you have found in your research that this specific coin will have a price boost in the upcoming future and not just because microstrategy is doing it. Don't be afraid to be unique because even if everyone is doing it, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will pay off.
Yes, that was our preference and not because of someone telling us what to do. If they are buying, we should also have to do the same because we know that their mindset is to gain profit as well. It should have a reason and this will boost us to believe that investing in this project will give us rewards. In fact, we believe that Bitcoin has a bright future and the price will rise. If we really have that kind of instinct, I'd see no reason for asking if this is the right time to invest rather than doing it right away but I know that OP has the doubt which is why he is asking.
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Durning bull market we will received many good bounty? on: July 07, 2023, 11:54:15 AM
I don't think, good bounty projects will help you to grow financially if you are a type of person looking for bull market to come so that you can make amount of money from it. I believe whenever the price of Bitcoin is rising in the market other cryptocurrencies price will be rising too, which is the time many bounty projects will be everywhere for people to be happy for what they make at the moment while some will be regretting why they spend so much time in the fake project. I believe, before the end of this month there will be massive bull that will make a good bounty projects available for bounty hunters to smile again in the community.
Relying on bounties is not the best option to take if we wanted to earn a profit from here.
Honestly, I have good experience in the past during ICO and IEO time, and most bounty hunters got rewarded, even airdrop does so well. But comparing the situation these days, bounties are no good anymore, they are just shitcoins and useless tokens which has no market value as it was not listed yet on any exchanges. And even the bull season comes, I wasn't thinking that this would change and uplift bounties but the chances to keep low and scammy.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 07, 2023, 11:03:55 AM
TNT vs Beermen tonight at 7:30 PM.

There's no spread for this game yet but the moneyline odds for TNT is x20. Looks attractive but knowing their struggle, I think betting on that is just a waste of money. Maybe the spread is around 20+, so I guess I would just stay away from this game, this is very hard to predict.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 07, 2023, 10:31:51 AM
Here's the Mock Trade:

Miami Heat gets:
Damian Lillard
Jusuf Nurkic

Portland Trail Blazers gets:
Ben Simmons
Kyle Lowry
Nikola Jovic
2028 first-round pick (via Brooklyn)
2028 first-round pick (via Miami)
2030 first-round pick (via Miami)

Brooklyn Nets gets:
Tyler Herro
2026 second-round pick (via Miami)

Source: https://allucanheat.com/2023/07/06/perfect-3-team-trade-damian-lillard-miami-heat/

If this trade happens Heat would rob all of them. Getting Lillard and Nurkić for basically nothing is a great deal for them. Lowry is at the retirement stage, maybe this is his last year. Nikola Jović didn't get any time in Heat and Herro is not an indispensable player. Jimmy Butler and Damian Lillard combo would work in next 2 seasons as we may see Heat in finals again.

Nurkic would serve as a legitimate center or a backup for Bam, providing significant help to the Heat in their pursuit of becoming championship contenders next season. While the Blazers may face challenges in the upcoming season, the trade offer could be beneficial for the team if they have long-term success in mind. Perhaps Lillard is truly seeking a coach who prioritizes defense, something he hasn't experienced in Portland.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you not hodling on: July 06, 2023, 11:06:07 PM
Not holding has made me gain what i would have lost, so i just think if you already have enough thats when HODL is in the right frame, my first encounter thought me a great lesson i hodl, money that was over 2 million turned 500 hundred thousand, this was HYDRO COIN it was an airdrop token. not that HODLING is not GOOD it is but NOT me....
I think you actually invested in the wrong coin which led you to that acquire that massive lost, or maybe you bought at a time when the market was already up and then the later dip now affected your portfolio. Holding is not a bad idea especially if you know exactly what you are getting into because if you are not prepared and ready you might probably just end up wasting a lot of money all in the name having an investment.

That is the result of investing shitcoins or what we called - investing blindly. We thought that investing cheap coins will give us huge rewards and that is my experience before, and yes, I was experiencing terrible losses that I couldn't easily forget. However, we must move forward, we might fall but this is not the reason why we stop because time is certainly good as we know already what we have to do. At some point, we gonna hold but in a situation like that, we'd rather throw them and invest in another project/s.
952  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a successful Bitcoin investor as a newbies? on: July 06, 2023, 10:11:19 PM
Newbies do not literally mean that they are less knowledgeable and less experienced in the market. They might be new in the market but some may have gained knowledge and experience even before about crypto investment. So the only thing I can see that is an important factor to be a successful bitcoin investor is how you manage your greed and emotions when investing. You may have good amount of bitcoin in your portfolio but that won’t be enough to say that you’ll be in huge profits especially if you don’t have the patience to hold and you easily fall on market FUDs that let you create your wrong decisions and end up regretting and losing.
That is probably because they have a lack of experience and they wanted to know what are the usual things to do when starting trading. Although they might have the knowledge and ideas already or have been using a demo account but that is somewhat different when doing it actually which sends them asking. It was really hard to reach our goal if there is already uncertainties and I see that newbies are working to eliminate and replace them with courage and trust when they know what are the things needed. And they will keep asking until they become satisfied.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 06, 2023, 02:14:16 PM
There's no other player as athletic as Thompson, so I agree with you that Abando should take his place. Give this kid a chance, as he has already proven himself to be a superstar in the KBL (Korean Basketball League), and he deserves more playing time. I don't understand why Coach Chot wasn't as impressed with him, especially considering his popularity on the international stage.
This may open up an opportunity for Abando to gain more minutes, but let's see how coach Chot will manage his team. Abando is relatively new to the team compared to other players who are already familiar with the types of gameplay coach Chot has employed in the past. Additionally, team chemistry plays a crucial role, and considering Abando's recent arrival, starting him could still be a question mark.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: July 06, 2023, 01:14:47 PM
Yes I think winning bet is totally depends on luck. But everyone tries their best to win bet. But winning bet becomes very difficult when one bet without understanding the games. I think we should have good idea before gambling.  We have to bet later. And if we bet without a good idea, our money will be at risk.
every gambling activity even though it is a sports bet which can be predicted also still depends on luck because sometimes the underdog team can still lose even worse if we bet on sports we don't know about and only bet on underdog teams. maybe if we are lucky we will get a win but if not, it's just like a casino game.
so the reason is clear enough that we always bet on certain sports because we always do an analysis before betting to get a win and on the one hand if we really want to try betting on other sports we can try our luck with a small amount of betting on the favorite team.
You can't eliminate luck entirely, as it is one of the factors that all gamblers seek. However, there are bettors who have confidence in their skills and knowledge of the sports they are betting on. These individuals prioritize consistency and rely on their expertise rather than solely relying on luck. They see luck as an additional bonus in their earnings.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: July 05, 2023, 10:31:23 PM
This is already been an existing complaint for many years already and no solution has yet to find from the developers. It is very unfortunate but somehow, we leave no other option but to pay huge fees if we wanted to move our ERC20 tokens and accept the reality and keep moving. We can't just give up because of high fees and we don't need to wait either to decrease before taking it back otherwise, we are wasting our precious time. And we can't expect as well the team will settle it down as we've done the upgrades but still have no impact on its fees.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 05, 2023, 12:59:38 PM
If in case he will win and Casimero will continue his winning stats, we might see them meeting in the same ring as long as Inoue
choose to stay in this current division.

f Inoue is also willing to fight Casimero, it would be intriguing, considering that Inoue had a chance to face Casimero in the bantamweight division but chose not to pursue it. Now that they will meet in the super bantamweight division, hopefully Casimero will become a mandatory challenger, leaving Inoue with no excuses to avoid fighting him.

Why don't we just focus on Inoue's upcoming fight? Whether we like it or not, it seems unlikely for them to face each other if it's not something desired by Inoue's camp. Inoue is incredibly fortunate with his rise, and if he wins this fight, he can proceed to a unification fight or move up in weight class again.

There is a possibility that Casimero may even retire without proving himself against Inoue. Perhaps Inoue's camp is also afraid that Casimero might have a lucky shot and diminish Inoue's fame.

Just one question to the veterans out here, if i bet for Ginebra now for that ML odds, would i be violating bookies' TC since i already bet for Meralco last night with an odds of @2.05?

Firstly, I am not a veteran, but I can answer your question based on my experience. I have done that before, and I have had no issues when it comes to waiting for the bets to be settled. In my opinion, there is no violation involved in taking advantage of such opportunities to make money by betting on both teams and accepting the odds offered. Such opportunities are rare, and besides, the potential winnings are typically just a small percentage when betting on both teams with underdog moneyline odds.

I have also tried it once, and I didn't encounter any problems, so I believe it's a normal way of betting, similar to hedging your bets. This type of betting is commonly known as 'arbitrage betting.' By the way, I hope @bisdak40 didn't bet on Ginebra because Meralco is currently leading by double digits, indicating that they are likely to win the game.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: July 04, 2023, 11:33:02 AM
Hopefully in the next match Magnolia will perform well again with the aim that we can bet there.
They are very consistent, so there is a 100% reason to bet on them. Personally, I would take whatever spread they have in their next game because I know they have a high chance of covering it. Sometimes, we have to be cautious when choosing the underdog, as they could be a big trap that results in losing money. What may seem attractive to us may not reflect the actual game, as seen with Meralco being an underdog with a +12.5 spread. In reality, they were simply dominated.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2023, 11:00:26 AM
According to the latest news I've read, there is only one team that Damian Lillard wants to be traded to now and that is the Miami Heat. (Shams Charania)

If this trade happens, it will be very good for the Miami Heat.
Do you think this trade will happen?

I believe the trade is likely to happen since Lillard has expressed his desire to leave the team. It wouldn't make sense for the Blazers to keep him if he wants to go elsewhere. They will likely engage in negotiations to find a trade deal that they consider fair. Currently, there are no other teams rumored to be involved in talks for Lillard, so it seems that he specifically wants to join the Heat. That's what we should believe for now.
960  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for July on: July 01, 2023, 09:22:37 PM

Here's BTC's monthly chart.  It's looking good.  Up 11.99% for June.  Basing it on pure optics, it looks like it's going up some more.  And I feel like more people will vote 'yes' in this month's poll.

I was into that market view. This 3rd quarter was probably have the chance to see the price of Bitcoin will move and getting a distance from the $30k barrier. I have the insights that we will reach $35k this month but still with some corrections moving it up and down. And that person can be right in his assumptions, rise is probably what we are going to experience this month. However, this will also change depending on how the community responds and manage their emotions upon reading the FUDs.
