Was it really his last fight on the contract? I know Derrick Lewis in now free agent, but I can't imagine UFC not offering him a new one. As for Tony, I don't know, he still has a big name and could potentially move to other organisation and even get a better money fighting easier fights. But there's no question that his prime years are now gone.
I really looks like his contract is over. UFC either give 3 or 6 fight contracts. If we divide his UFC record to 3 or 6, it would be a round number, which makes he has no more fight. Maybe UFC will offer him sort of a farewell fight, as he said he has lost current mostly due to accidental eye poke (but we have seen the fight and Tony was dominated in every round).
A lot of people still want to see him fight and Lewis obviously still wants to fight under the UFC's banner, so I guess if he doesn't have any medical issues, Dana White and Hunter Campbell could still give him another contract...  I'd expect some announcement in a couple of months.

As for Tony Ferguson, uh man...  I think he should retire.  He isn't the same guy after the beating he got from Justin Gaethje.  That was a solid beating.

Lewis is pretty old at this point. I don’t know if it is going to be a great performance from him after this. I suspect he might decline in terms of success. But I do agree with @tokeweed that a lot of people would still want to see Lewis fight. And of course he’s also going to be interested to fight in the UFC. Because even though a lot of people are saying that that UFC does not be enough money, they are the ones who pay the most. So obviously he’s going to want to stay in the UFC.

It is actually sad to see the turn that the career of Tony Ferguson took. And I also agree that this happened after fight against Justin Gaethje. At this point, it is actually painful to see how he is getting wrecked in the cage. I think he should think about his retirement seriously.

Heavy weights have longer careers in MMA compared to the lighter weight classes as the demands in HW are actually not as hard.  And if you notice many of them are a bit older.

Anyway, here's a free fight featuring Sandhagen vs Vera.  Sandhagen is prolly my most confident pick of the coming weekend's event.

He is 39, which is a death sentence for lightweight. What makes me sad, that knowing what kind of person Tony is, he will continue fighting and getting all those strikes to the head, and UFC will keep using his name, even though it was his last fight on the contract.

Was it really his last fight on the contract? I know Derrick Lewis in now free agent, but I can't imagine UFC not offering him a new one. 966  Economy / Speculation / BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 01, 2023, 12:42:06 PM
July didn't end well but it wasn't as bad as how it feels.  It's just down a tad over 4% for the month.  I'd say that's not bad and could still be considered somewhat sideways even tho it was a red month.  Yeah...  And with momentum going down a bit, time for a new sentiment poll for this month.

As always here's the monthly chart and how July ended.  Not what I expected but it is what it is.  Stay safe out there guys.

...Where'd you get the info that there's 2.7 million eligible addresses?

There are a huge number of services that allow you to track statistical information about L0, which allow you to get comprehensive statistics not only about the L0 network, but also specifically for each wallet that carried out transactions in LayerZero. Here I will give one of them that I use: https://dune.com/cryptoded/layerzero

An got it...  But I don't think all 2.7 million them will be eligible for the airdrop tho as I'm pretty sure a lot of users own multiple addresses all at once.  And as you guys already pointed out, the guys Layer Zero are aware of the shenanigans going on.  I'm pretty sure it will be filtered down and prolly less than 100k addresses will be eligible.  Maybe even less.  Dunno...

Anyway, I think we'll have a list of eligibility in a couple of months.

Anyway, Dutch GP next.  Verstappen at 1.25.  Lol.  I feel like something unexpected is gonna happen.  Grin

I am afraid you are going to wait some time as the Dutch GP is not near at all,it is after the holidays on 26 August and there is plenty of time until then  Grin.I don't see any unexpected thing to happen here as he will be racing in front of the home fans,I doubt anyone else will be able to challenge him for the pole position which would in turn be an easy race win just like he did last time around.

The only thing stopping him this year are mechanical failures yet we have to see one as Redbull beside being super fast is also super reliable so that 1.25 may be a really big amount of odd seen from this perspective  Grin.

Yup, good thing the EPL will be starting the next weekend after the coming one.  Wink  I haven't really been following a lot of football a lot as of late but with how boring F1 really has been going, I could get back into the EPL again.  It could be an interesting season with City being City, Poch at Chelsea and Klopp go try to get Liverpool back on track.  There's also Arteta and the Gunners and the dark horse with Eddie Howe and his boys at Newcastle United.

United will end 6th or lower at the table.  Lmaooo.

It's not really because Bryan Pellegrino isn't bothered by it, it's because they don't really have a choice.  These things will always get gamed, so their move is either go on with the airdrop, look the other way and say they're not bothered with it or cancel the airdrop and do something like what SUI did.  The latter would def be frowned on by the community.  Esp the ones who already done their fair share of sweat equity in using the protocol.  Lol.

To date, there are 2.7 million addresses in LayerZero, which far exceeds the number of addresses that have received airdrop from Arbitrum. Thus, the team will definitely face a dilemma: pay a small amount of coins to each address or reduce the number of addresses by introducing stricter criteria for receiving airdrop.

I think the latter is the better option imho.  I mean they have to as not doing it would like give more possbility to still be airdropping some amounts of tokens to just one guy who botted the airdrop with multiple wallets.  And there's also a better chance to reduce the tokens ending up with the botters than having the honest users missing out on the airdrop.  But again, IMHO.

Where'd you get the info that there's 2.7 million eligible addresses?

Congratulations to @casperBGD for winning the yellow jersey in the Belgium race. Once again, Verstappen succeeded in winning the race, while Leclerc and Perez also managed to secure their positions in the top ranks of the Belgian Grand Prix. My bet today was in favor of Piastri, but unfortunately, my hopes were dashed. Angry

That's the thing with rookies on the grid.  They tend to be inconsistent with all the traffic around them even though they got some pace during quali or the practice sessions.  Even Verstappen had his misses from to time when he first got to drive for Red Bull.

But yeah, Piastri is the guy to watch this season...  Kinda like how Russell was some years back when he was still with Williams.  The guy looks promising but we'll see.

Anyway, Dutch GP next.  Verstappen at 1.25.  Lol.  I feel like something unexpected is gonna happen.  Grin

Here are the result of my picks for the UFC 291

Dustin Poirier (1.69) VS Justin Gaethje (2.28) - LOST

Pretty much it is a great fight and congrats to Justin Gaethje he proves that he can surely up his game so much that he can become more technical with his fight, and for this fight he surely knows what Dustin Poirier will do and that punch kick combo is surely amazing just like on the Leon Edwards VS Kamaru Usman fight but in here Dustin Poirier surely doesn't have any defense for that kick he got a counter for that punch but for that kicks that Justin Gaethje is releasing it was really devastating for Poirier,

I just watched the fight on youtube. Looked like a fairly even fight going into round 2, Gaethje jad a little cut on his eye but other then that noone looked dominant. That kick that ended it in round 2 came outta nowhere. I'm sure we will see the trilogy soon for these guys. Poirer IMO will take the 3rd match if Gaethje gives him the rematch.

Yup, it was looking like it was gonna be a close match until the head kick.  :/  As for the trilogy, I think there are words going around that Poirier already approached Gaethje and said he'd like another rematch and that Gaethje agreed...  Not sure if it's true tho.  Sometimes those guys at Twitter like to make stuff up.

Anyway 290 was one of the best events of the year.  Just two fights went the distance.

...Have you tried the NFT Copilot bot?..

Using such bots will make sense if you are going to pump hundreds of wallets to get an airdrop from LayerZero. In the event that you have several wallets, it will not be difficult to interact with the blockchain manually. And besides, you don't have to spend money to buy this bot.

Thanks for your response - it's duly appreciated although I was asking if anyone has actually tried out the bot to interact with layerzero supported chains. I haven't used any bots to make those interactions, just asking incase someone has first hand experience using it so I can make an informed decision. At the end of the day, these are all tools.

I stumbled on a posts were the Layerzero CEO gave his opinion about sybil accounts participating and proceeded to say that he isn't bothered about it.

Lol.

I for one want to see an airdrop happen and hope that I got in.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: July 29, 2023, 12:20:38 PM
But don't forget the Ngannou early finishes market tho.  Have a feeling he'll touch Fury's chin at R1.

The odds would probably be like x100 if he manages to KO Fury in round one. We know he is a KO machine, but that's too much to expect because Fury is not a careless boxer, and he also knows how to stand up when knocked down. Well, we can never know; this is boxing, and Ngannou has the power to KO an opponent, so it's worth taking the risk if you are going to bet.

The odds would be x100?  If that were really the case then point me a bookie where they offer Ngannou to win via KO at R1 with those odds.  Grin  That would def be a sweet deal and a super +EV bet.  And if ever there was such a line, I don't think it would last more than a few hours before the sharps start putting some money in and cause the line to move...

Seriously tho, Ngannou has a puncher's chance.  More so at the early rounds.  But after around R3, he'll start to fade and Fury will take over and win.  So a live bet for Fury is prolly the best way to go about this.  Hopefully Ngannou makes it competitive at the first couple of rounds or even get a KD.
I agree with you.
I am sure first two rounds will be good for Ngannou, unless he runs like a bull without thinking and lands on fury fist  Wink
He sure has power and he could create some damage to Fury, but that can only happen if Fury doesnt take him seriously at all.
Whatever happens in this fight they will both come out as winners with multi million dollars earned, but maybe we could earn something along the way.

Yup and here's the thing, if Ngannou makes it a bit more competitive after a couple of rounds, check the live odds.  If you could get Fury at the decent price, like around 1.50 or better or even 1.30 or better, that's an auto bet imho.  And for big money as that's almost a 100% win for a discounted line.  Ngannou will prolly just have around 5 to 6 rounds of boxing in him before he gasses out.

And yeah...  Ngannou should be happy with the money he's getting.  I hope he's so happy that he'll go for a one match contract with the UFC to fight Jon Jones.  We the fans deserve to see it.  Grin

But don't forget the Ngannou early finishes market tho.  Have a feeling he'll touch Fury's chin at R1.

Francis would no doubt fight Jones but it's out of his hands now. He's contracted to the Pfl and there's no way Dana would do a cross promotion. Best we can hope for is for Francis to quickly run his contract down by blitzing everyone in the pfl then hope Dana will put his ego aside and do the one off mega fight or even re-sign him. I think Jones has 7 fights left on his contract so it will be a long time before he ever gets out of that. The ufc hasn't even got 7 heavyweights I'd like to see either. I suspect Jones will make easy work of Stipe.

Mmm..  If Jones would beat all comers at the UFC HW division, he's prolly be open to a cross promotion match up like the UFC almost did with Amanda Nunes vs PFL's women's 145 champ Kayla Harrison.  But Nunes ended up losing that match vs Pena so the match up with Harrison was scrapped.  But yeah...  Could happen if the timing and possible reward from such an event are right.

But if not, I'm fine seeing Pavlovich fight Jones then Aspinall.  I think Aspinall will be the future of UFC HW.  Overall great guy, good fighter and smart.

Well thats a very degen bet and I though it would be atleast 100k in profit if it hit but guess the odds was not high enough Tongue. Well joking aside, pretty sure that Rollbit has enough to cover all this, they even have few millions lock in RLB liquidity so yeah. Anyway, I hope you will actually hit this and win all those

Heck yeah, I think they also possess few high rank Rollbots and Sportsbot if they evern want to sell those to cover up player's withdrawal LOL Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

It's a long shot.  And I never expect any of my degen parlays in the UFC to hit.  Most of them are made with left over coins from my other losing bets.  Lol.  But hey...  A guy can dream right?  I could hit one of them one day, who knows...

And never in my mind that I think Rollbit will have problems in cashing out my withdrawal if ever win a degen parlay.  They're an upstanding sports betting and gambling site in the community and would never cheat their own users out of their own money.  I don't care what other people say.  I know a legit site when I see one.

I lean Blachowicz at first glance but after seeing him facing off with Pereira, I change my mind.  Pereira is a big dude who could KO Blachowicz at the first round imo.

Looks like it. Izzy must have pissed his pants every time Alex faceoff with him. He's just glad it's over now and avenge himself.
Alex may actually KO Jan. He had been training with Teixeira who already fought with Jan.

Does that mean that he has no opportunity to start in pole position even if he wins qualifying today?

^  If the 5 place grid penalty is confirmed then clearly he won't.  Lol.  But I don't think it will really change anything tho.  Red Bull has the fastest car on the grid and it'll prolly be racing for pole position by the 20th lap or so.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Everything about the gear box move is already calculated.

Let's see how the books adjust their lines tho.  If it's anything like 1.60 or better for Verstappen to win, better bet it! We won't have good lines for race winner for a long looong time til 2026.
