2381  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Paypal want BTC $145 or £120 on: January 14, 2019, 04:11:47 AM
Hey mday.

I don't have the amount you are looking for today. Just bought a couple miners. However I'll probably have what you need in a week or so, I can keep in touch.

Just wanted to double check a few things. Have you already made arrangements with Darkstar_ for escrow service? If so that works for me.

I would be wanting the funds converted to CAD (Canadian). We can keep in touch about this, not a problem if your order fills before I'm ready.
2382  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just learned that I am now a DT2 member. Please advise on: January 14, 2019, 03:47:43 AM
Good job. It's nice to see the trust network expand. You already seem to be doing fine by taking it seriously and welcoming feedback.

The only advice I'd say is not all feedback needs to be positive or negative. You can leave neutral, it still shows up under trusted feedback just doesn't do anything to the trust score. It a good way to get your point across about the user, that you don't feel necessarily warrant a green or red trust score.
2383  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) WhatsMiner M10 33.0 Th/s, 2145W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: January 14, 2019, 02:30:42 AM
OG

Don't spend the BTC then. This is assuming you just mean the coin at current value, and not funds in general. IIRC you operate a business, that is one fast way to be able to pay by wire with Pangolin. I can't say for sure but it seems they were going to try and work with me to send a wire as an individual but in the end I didn't need the special arrangement.

The review so far were enough for me to bite the bullet on these, I'm to wishy washy at times. Judging by what may or may not be a power issue with other gear I'm glad I went this route. I am getting excited, it's funny I was thinking back to my first new from manufacturer purchases in 2017, and I paid the same then for my 14.6 TH/S from the 2 741's.

Glad to hear they are close Phil, might even see it tomorrow. These haven't been shipping with a power cord have they? Was re-reading the OP and it looked as though one came in the box.
2384  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 13, 2019, 11:05:23 PM
With your suggestion neutrals would be seen as soft negatives so we'd need to differentiate soft-positive and soft-negative neutrals, otherwise just seeing the total amount of neutral without knowing why those were awarded wouldn't be useful at all.

I understand why you assumed they would be seen as soft negative.

In fact they should be seen as just what they are a feedback that was left but didn't have enough weight to be considered completely positive or negative. Whoever leaves the feedback is responsible for the facts and it leaving uswith an overall impression of the interaction.

I am always surprised when people say they'll have to open up the profile to read them. They shoukd be doing this for any and all feedback anyways. This is why i want the neutral tally, it gives neutrals visibility and then those feedbacks can be used more freely.

Again i suggest this so that red tags can have more merit as well( there i go keeping it negative). Unfortunately i find myself struggling with what some people leave as red as opposed to a neutral.

2385  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 13, 2019, 02:37:50 PM
While we are implementing changes to the trust system can we give neutral feedbacks a visiblilty with a counter alongside negative and positive in the trust line. I say this as I think the trust system is going to have a larger reach and more users feedback may become visible to others.

I think this would encourage a better range of feedbacks being left throughout the forum. This way when someone does something you disagree with or feel should be noted about that user you dont have  to leave a negative.. This way we dont get stuck leaving red tags for personal or opinion matters, and can save them for scams or scammy behaviour.

Obviously there won't be any hard and fast rules, but by making neutral visible alongside the others people may appreciate having a third option with the same visibility.

It's funny I remember reading the "hilari" instance and it did stick out for a minute. I really just chalked it up to a new nickname catching on, didn't think to much on it.

With the "if" in place. The meriting your alt seems the smart play to try and cast doubt. I dont track alts or anything like that, but maybe it's a case of "I can  do it better than Atriz".

They did try and come back under an alt, that had been found out early and allowed to attempt redemption, only to slip up in the end.

Same with that thread, my interest is peaked.
2387  Economy / Speculation / Re: GAME game *game* "GAME" QUARTER PREDICTIONS on: January 13, 2019, 01:30:28 PM
Oh my, First time I've caught a micgoosens giveaway good time thread.

Thanks for being a good dude, I'll slide into the 5885.

With all the significant others talk, My wife would smile and nod for a bit before just telling me I lost her a few minutes ago. It's always good times; also don't want to poke the bear, sneaking some new hardware in the house soon.  Wink
2388  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling bitmain coupons on: January 13, 2019, 11:55:17 AM

Min buy worth 50$ note! That means the sum of coupons has to be minimum 400$.

Yes I have 220$ coupons. ESCROW ain't fine for me, time spent and no wins.

Yes that was understood. You'll notice I used the plural coupons.

Your reply was to late for the timing of the purchase, regardless Escrow would have been a must for me. Most users will expect this and you should keep an open mind to trusted forum escrow.

Leave it up to the buyer to make the arrangements it really shouldn't be a waste of your time.

2389  Economy / Reputation / Re: I was blackmailed on: January 13, 2019, 04:12:00 AM
Good on you for not paying up. Odds are they would have released it anyways or just continued to circle back anytime they needed a top up.

As far as being removed from the campaign in this case no reason would have been better than what was given really. Unless you were out slamming who/whatever you were promoting there is no need to punish. That being said I've always assumed a campaign manager could add or remove users as they see fit, considering it is their name and reputation on the line.

I do not believe it was jeremypwr. He has already removed or changed users without giving any great explanation. He does not need to create a great reason to remove someone... unfortunately.

Sometimes people holding all the cards enjoy playing and making people squirm. I honestly have no knowledge of the individuals involved, so I'm not saying this is what has happened. It just wouldn't surprise me that someone spent a few extra minutes of their time to toy with someone for their own amusement.

I would say the weirdest part of being offended so late in the game is that they had replied to that comment in that thread.
2390  Other / Meta / Re: Bad reports on: January 13, 2019, 03:14:04 AM
Post 1 - Offering to pay people for the service of them procuring accounts.
Post 2 - Offering to pay to rent hashrate
Post 3 - Offering to pay for services - website creation
Post 4 - Offering their services as an ICO developer
Post 5 - Selling an off forum account
Post 6 - Selling access to movies
Post 7 - Appears to be in service discussion -> exchanges, discussing the service they receive from cryptopia - might have been moved there before your report was read or submitted
Post 8 - Trying to find someone to create a website for their ICO.

So again I don't know what you wrote when you reported the posts. The altcoin Marketplace does appear to be less structured, and I couldn't find a specific explanation of what belongs where.

Here are the options for Child boards =  Services - Service Discussion - Bounties

I don't really see anything wrong with where #5,6 are given the options

#1,2  they could stay there or maybe find a place in services.

I could see most of these having a place being moved into services -> as that's either what they are offering or seeking. # 3,4,8

Overall I don't see much wrong as far as the forum rules with these topics as they've been presented. Maybe follow suchmoons advice about contacting the Mods  to gain some clarity for moving forward.

Here is the [Guide] Reporting effectively thread I was talking about. Conveniently created by the Mod for that section.

Good luck, and definitely keep up with the reporting.
2391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: received 500 free satoshi? on: January 13, 2019, 02:27:01 AM
This usually happens with Tokens. But I do not know if it makes any sense make this with BTC. He probably has received some tip from someone from a job or service he provided.

No it was definitely some sort of airdrop or spammed transaction. If you follow the address it shows a long list of transactions for identical amounts.

If it was random that's not hard either. They can literally just check transactions on the blockchain and send whatever they feel like.
2392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 years ago Hal Finney called first... "Running bitcoin" on: January 13, 2019, 02:21:14 AM
in 10 years no one will care, who the hell cares today who created first ever paper zertified money? no one.

Right cause no body cares about things like the printing press being created. I forgot that every time a coin from some fallen empire is unearthed people just melt it down right. The difference being that we live in an age of extreme documentation; to effectively loose records of BTC's creation and progress requires a near extinction level event not just a fire in a city.

It is cool when you look at his next two tweets. Within a couple weeks he was thinking about adding anonymity and reducing CO2 emissions.

Appreciate the thread. It's pretty cool to look back on all the milestones along the way. To see where icons started out and watch them catch the bug and want to grow and nurture the system.

Even cooler to see some of his early ideals live on, much like your green project.

It would be awesome if it was earlier, but hopefully some of us can remain old and gray long enough to see the world catch up with his hope of revival from cold storage to a cure.

2393  Other / Meta / Re: Bad reports on: January 12, 2019, 10:56:46 PM
You may have misunderstood. I meant what do you type in the reporting field.

If all you type is "spam" that doesn't provide any details or an explanation of why you think so or how it breaks the no spam rule.

Now if you instead say something like - "posted in the wrong section - user is not selling a product - please move to services"

This is just an example. I sometimes write more characters than the post itself to convey why j feel it breaks the rules. Check out Welsh's thread for some advice on reporting. I'm update the link later from a PC.
2394  Other / Meta / Re: Bad reports on: January 12, 2019, 10:30:09 PM
I'd have to look into it more about the layout of the altcoin marketplace.

The bigger question is what does your report say? The problem could be in what you see asking to be done, as not all MODS are area specific and what might seem a natural conclusion to you, may not to them.

But as always remember what's written on the reporting page"1 good accurate report is worth many bad inaccurate" or something along those lines.
2395  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2 on: January 12, 2019, 09:50:57 PM
It's a shame iasenko but people will abuse any system if they have it in their mind to commit a crime.

Consider BTC while its infinitely more trackable due to people making errors, people who know what they are doing still operate with general anonymity.  In Canada it's a common scam to pretend you are the tax collectors and force people to pay in BTC. It's been going on forever but that forsnt affect the coin globally.

Before crypto it was cash/gold/gems. It will probably just bring about increased efforts from some to try and track monero.
2396  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint T1 16TH/S halongmining.com on: January 12, 2019, 09:43:49 PM
Thanks for the reply Biffa.

Phoenix sorry to say you are out of luck. Halong is essentially dead and there is no line on replacement parts for repair. Not sure of all the details, but I dont think MyRig was supplied with parts to continue offering a repair service.

You can always try posting in the marketplace that you are looking for parts, maybe someone has a near dead miner to offload.
2397  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) WhatsMiner M10 33.0 Th/s, 2145W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: January 12, 2019, 09:40:02 PM
Yes Canada here. They are subject to 5% GST. Depending on the shipment and whether its commercial or personal there is also generally the provincial sales tax.

Apart from that as long as I stay below 2500 CAD they can expedite it through customs.

I might be 4 days with my delivery location being rural. I'm going to have to keep an eye on them as the last time they handed the package of to a courier they pretty much tossed it into my lawn, yeah it was a miner. Lol

Either way I'll have to get on wiring in a new 30 amp circuit so these 2 can hit the ground running. Just remembered I have to do a cable count, as I might need to order 1 or 2. That or take my limpy t9+ offline.
2398  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 1500 6-month old S9s with PSUs located in USA on: January 12, 2019, 08:31:59 AM
Vosk is looking for a large amount of miners similar to your offering. Here is the [urlhttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5025898.0]thread[/url]

There is a bit of a price difference but maybe you guys can work something out.

Apart from that are you able to get some photos of the hardware and update the thread that usually helps move gear. Be sure to include a handwritten note with the date and your forum name, it just shows you have access to the gear.

Good luck
2399  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: New: 31TH MicroBT WhatsMiner M10 For Sale on: January 12, 2019, 08:23:22 AM
You willing to use escrow or trying to get people to send BTC to a website?

offordscott is a sales affiliate whatsminer.net This is a link to the hardware, it brings up the same site as OP.

They are 1 of 2 official distributors for the whatsminer by MicroBT, more info about that can be found here in the Current list of competitive hardware at the bottom of the list.

I'm just not sure if the shortened link is being used for a referral, if so please remove it.

My guess is the New Year's resolution was to practice your enunciation for this years ask. Good luck
