1921  Economy / Reputation / Re: Yobit and campaign manager discussion on: April 20, 2019, 06:03:06 PM
I would like to see any reputable manager at the front of this campaign. Having been a part of your campaigns, I have no doubt you could handle something of this size, and ensuring it's not a spammy shitshow. I posted elsewhere to this effect, but up until they are a proven scam or go beyond what the community tolerates as shady activity they are no different than another campaign, they just have history.

If you are open to recommendations, I would ask them to move to payments once a week or at least every couple of days. If they want to pay for a potential 140 posts in a week so be it, but maybe put something about blacklisting users found to be spamming to pad their stats. I think you already do that but can't remember.
1922  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FABLE] The Resurrection of YoBit on: April 20, 2019, 05:52:43 PM
I haven't even made my rounds but reported my first. It was a thread I created and the guy just dropped the same generic semi passable spam.

I'd say the most annoying part of this is that you need to be on these fools steady so they don't get paid for shitposts. Does anyone know when the daily counter gets reset? For most spam I tend do do a sweep on Thursday and Friday hoping to catch campaigns near cutoff days.

In regards to anyone wanting to wear the Sig for the campaign. I would say go for it as long as you aren't planning on being a spammy shitposter. Until the exchange has been proven to have scammed users, or can be proven to be a Ponzi, it's your decision if you want to promote them.

Moving forward if there becomes a consensus that they have proven themselves to be criminal, or have crossed the line of what the community can tolerate. I would say a warning be put out to anyone wearing the signature that they will be tagged for promoting Yobit. I don't believe we are there yet, I honestly don't know much about them at this time.
1923  Other / Meta / Re: hacked account Spamming yobit sig on: April 20, 2019, 05:42:20 PM
^^

Sorry but that doesn't matter in the case of buying or selling accounts. Both should be tagged once it can be shown that the account has changed hands. As explained in the quote below. It shouldn't be a surprise to people even newbies on this forum that anything to do with Account sales for several years now results in negative tags. OP new this or they wouldn't have pretended it had been hacked in the first place.

Yeah, but there needs to be evidence of the account being offered for sale and transfer of ownership.  I don't doubt OP's story, but I want to see proof before doing any tagging.

Apart from that the aggrieved party should open a scam accusation with TXID's.
1924  Economy / Reputation / Re: Issue with neg trust rating - This must hit Lauda, i need help! on: April 20, 2019, 05:10:10 PM
This feedback is fairly old. Any reason you are just bringing this up now?
Pretty sure Lauda has been on DT fairly consistently since the feedback was left so this would have prevented you from "working" all year.

Other than that you'll just have to continue your appeal here, I'm not sure how your accounts were connected maybe someone else will point it out or I'll find it as I go through the reference some more.
1925  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Raffle] 4/20 999 Silver, Short Pocket Friendly on: April 20, 2019, 04:48:02 PM
In honor of, I'll take 4,2, and 0.

Payment will be made in a few minutes.
1926  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FABLE] The Resurrection of YoBit on: April 19, 2019, 11:18:00 PM
Looks like anyone can be the campaign manager for Yoshit Sig Campaign. So far found 2 members announced in the service section.

When the Campaign [ANN] is already duplicate thread spam... You might be in a shitposting campaign (Jeff Foxworthy voice)

Does this mean we're witnessing the start of another bubble? I was kinda getting used to the less-than-50k-posts-a-day version of Bitcointalk.

Funny you mention this I have seen a small increase in newbies to mining, and I thought maybe the price bump helped that out. Though I'd happily field an abundance of intro to mining questions. Really the comparison is Apples to ...well shit posts.

Oregano?  Who the fuck smokes oregano?  I thought we were talking about Marijuana.   Kiss
BTW, I'm from NorCal; our flowering plants with psychotropic properties are the envy of the galaxy.

Shhhh, the morality police will show up and tell us what's legal to us is illegal because they disagree. Alas you've broken the code. I've actually watched a ton of Docs and clips of the history around the California Growing, kinda like the modern day Wild West at times.

Gladly. I hear a certain someone is also producing some herbs as well Smiley

Must be nice for them to be treated like an adult in their province. We can't be trusted to grow a plant here  Roll Eyes Feel free to hit me up anytime.
1927  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FABLE] The Resurrection of YoBit on: April 19, 2019, 07:48:48 PM
Well written, a little to grounded in realism. So I take it anyone that Yobit had an email for got the invite to this quality creation opportunity.

I wonder how long before I see them in my reported posts, might be nice to change up what I'm seeing.

Side note we could happily send packages of Oregano back and forth while making others jelly.
1928  Other / Meta / Re: Topic deleted without notification? on: April 19, 2019, 04:42:48 PM
Hard to say. Was the referral link posted in the thread? If so that was probably enough to get it trashed.

I don't think there is a problem with offering that up in "Services" as long as the link is shared via PM or something once a deal has been made. Definitely do not send it unsolicited.

I'm surprised you didn't get a notification PM, for the thread being deleted, maybe that doesn't happen if they are trashed.

Weird I didn't see anything in the Mod Log for you though.
1929  Other / Meta / Re: My Account went from Junior to Newbie all by Itself on: April 19, 2019, 03:45:02 PM
I have an aged account here which I sparingly use. It went from Junior to Newbie all by itself while my messages get flagged as spam.  Isnt there a system in place that can distinguish between real aged  accounts and fake ones ?

You got demoted when the merit requirement of 1 came out.

The system for differentiating aged accounts is looking at the profile and checking the  - Date registered. In your case 2013. Rank and activity would be to show more than age, it covered interaction on the forum.

The deleted posts could have been in threads that have been trashed; or possibly from a time before BPIP was grabbing the Data. Not really sure how that works.

Did anyone else notice that OP has an avatar, despite being demoted a newbie ? Even the said Jr. Member rank shouldn't have an avatar, right ?

Pretty sure they got to keep it from years ago when it was first applied, I remember something about a few cases.

I don't think anything got deleted. The OP is getting the red warning on their sent PMs ("this message is coming from a newbie" thing).

Good catch, that makes sense. I couldn't figure out what they meant about "flagged as imposter".
1930  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] [Canada] Motherboard, CPU and RAM for an 8 card rig on: April 19, 2019, 03:39:49 PM
Hey,

I got nothing for you but have noticed a few Canadian offers lately. Here's one that may have most of what you are looking for, Iirc it's still a few provinces away.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5077414.msg50636993#msg50636993

Then there's this thread with Ram, more than you need but a trusted member and only 1 province over.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5131905.0

Good luck.
1931  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: April 19, 2019, 03:32:47 PM
That's not bad only having to commit the load for 1 year. Well worth the potential risk, even if the worst were to happen the core infrastructure is there. No to mention the ability to be flexible and find a balance. I'm curious if these scenarios have been discussed with the Business/Landowner. If there is no mining are you and Buysolar out? I ask as that's the new potential risk I see of being left holding the bag on hardware.

Not a problem if you don't want to get to far into details.

I remembered the map, it reminded me of the mining town I grew up in , it's still weird to me sometimes when I don't taste a little sulfur in the air. Something good has come from it at least on the state level to help push towards renewable sources is a positive.
1932  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is 110V mining going away? on: April 19, 2019, 03:23:08 PM
True, but a know a lot of people who used them for space heaters during the winter.
You can either turn power to heat with 0 Th with your space heater ot turn power into heat with 8.6Th with your R4

Cost to run is about the same :-)
-Dave

I know all about that. The winter mining setup is what I did in my home and will keep at it. Even at it's earliest I did go with a new 220 in the house because I had panel space. I think now is when people should be looking for older gear, especially if they fall into that 110V problem.

It may just be that if you are stuck on 110V you would have to resign yourself to a seasonal miner, or go with Canaan for something competitive.

At least one manufacturer caters exclusively to the home miner, but you're not wrong about the cost/TH being too high. Work in progress.

You're right I was actually just about to go search for the thread. I have to admit I haven't read it in a while. Even thought it's not for me at the moment, I still think it's an awesome venture.
1933  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can't tell what lauda is, a bit of photoshop and it's gone. on: April 19, 2019, 02:59:13 PM
I negative rated a manager of an obvious shitcoin, he LIED claiming i threaten him, thing i done right after, i has proof i havent done it before but he photoshoped the picture.
~snip~
Edit: im sober now i were just honest. All threats came AFTER his photoshop, i now trust no member to check my account message history

First off, you shouldn't be threatening anybody, before or after being slighted makes no difference.

I can't make out the timeline based on your posts but it seems like this:

You Neg Parodium

Parodium shows photoshopped PM - You claim this it has not been proven, PM could have been legitimate.

Laud Tags you for threats

You actually threaten People - Not sure but you make it sound like you did this in retaliation for falsely being accused of threatening people

Here we are now.

Edit: When has it ever been a good idea to send of that Drunk Message?
1934  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is 110V mining going away? on: April 19, 2019, 02:39:25 PM
I can't say I considered it a problem. When I started in 2017, I just automatically went with 220v I had one circuit in place and did a quick wire up of another in the garage. I know some can't manage that in say an apartment, but if your home is maxed and can't manage another 220v circuit, it's probably time to take a long hard look at your electrical infrastructure anyways.

Those smaller data centers I imagine could upgrade if that's what they wanted to do for hosting, that or exclusively deal in hosting other rigs.

The one upside for anyone who still may need to use 110 is Canaan. There 1041 is supposed to have 2 options 1 with PSU, and 1 without. So presumably people could get away with the 2 PSU's on separate 110 circuits. The options will be limited though in getting the newer miners because they all seem to be moving towards high power consumption for high hashrate; as opposed to smaller efficient machines. The last ones announced never materialized.

I would love to see more R4 type machines, built with newer chips, but I think that is just a wish that is not going to get fulfilled.

This would be nice, I never had one but heard when they worked they were great. Unfortunately it doesn't make sense for manufacturers to cater to the home miner anymore; if they did a run of something like this I imagine the price would be ridiculously expensive in Cost/TH.
1935  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: April 19, 2019, 02:29:01 PM
Nice. That's a huge plus that you can sell off what you don't use. Really takes the risk out of the operation especially once it's been up and running mining for a while. Let's say hypothetically the bottom falls out of mining for  a while or gets unpredictable come the halving. You can just turn around and turn a profit as an energy producer.

Are there any stipulation on the load being permanent after the panels are installed?

Honestly Clifton is a gold mine of info for the home miners right now. The way you are filling and splitting your 30 amp circuits gives us a nice idea what gear to buy to maximize our circuits. I'm not going to benefit from that, as I forged ahead January-March to upgrade. It may help come fall though when I make heating decisions as opposed to efficiency.
1936  Economy / Reputation / Re: proof trusted users are gaming this forum on: April 19, 2019, 01:59:28 PM
I was unaware the FBI had a hurt feelings division.

Where to even begin with this... well the basics are always nice. Feedback in no way stops you from using the forum. You can post talk, hell even trade. Really the stipulations for a trade or deal on a newbie, and a newbie with a NEG aren't going to differ. Unfortunately that's not what you are here for. You simply want to reach behind yourself and fling shit everywhere hoping something sticks, and what's with Dox? hmmmm wouldn't that be considered along the same lines as what you are supposedly so hurt and offended by.

As for collectibles, I can't believe I didn't see it before, it's so obvious. There is no way that a group of like minded people are buying selling and trading these items. It must be some sort of circlejerk conspiracy to keep mining afloat with transaction fees. Really no other possible explanation there.

Good day to be part of a small pool with 5nd. Switching ISP's and then moving the hash out to the garage; finally mostly healed up.

Mine on.... sooner or later
1938  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New buildout with buysolar has entered stage 2. on: April 18, 2019, 12:51:37 AM
Well nice to see things rocking at Clifton. At least you still have work there to focus on, while you wait for info on the possible new location.

Must be nice to still be able to find purpose for that older gear while you wait on more powerful stuff to show up. For Clifton are you still in the process of proving the consistent load? I'm guessing if that new place goes ahead you won't have to do the same thing as it's new build or would that still be a requirement for the subsidies.

I just drooled a little at your 2 PH potential.
1939  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Entry Level coins or notes BTC Silver on: April 18, 2019, 12:21:13 AM
I'm in the same boat. The odd time I consider trying for something more valuable but generally buy a miner first.  Tongue

I would say an interesting piece would be the Crypto Cosmos decks for a nice piece at a reasonable cost. The added bonus is you can play the game as well.

Recently stepped up my game a little with some bitcoin penny purchases can't wait to see them. Every time I say I'm done for a bit i see something shiny lol

I didn't realise you made these. I always thought they were an amazing looking coin.

I'll start at 0.0002 BTC
