Okay. Well that's easy enough to see why your payouts changed and fluctuate so much. You are not mining BTC, you are being paid in BTC. So the profitability calculators I said to look at aren't really relevant for this.

Without buying into a contract it's hard to tell, but reading their FAQ's they mine altcoins using profit switching which is really just chasing the most profitable coin after the fact and hoping it stays that way. So your payouts will probably fluctuate wildly. Not to mention I don't know if you can track which coin they mined to see if you are being paid a full reward. To this point it looks like you've been paid, so as long as that carries on you are getting the service you paid for.
1542  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Electrical wiring for mining on: June 22, 2019, 08:59:25 PM
I can understand the fear of Lawsuits but that stops the second you say " This is not instruction or advice to undertake this project, this is an explanation of what is needed.  Please follow all local regulations and consult a professional. "

I got a lot of advice from people when i first got here between that and google i went for it and then ran ideas by a few electrician friends to be sure. I advise you to do the same with anything you get here... not the guy who told you to do the magic 220 with 110 outlets though, they crazy.

Now my ticket doesn't rely on any of that. I'm assuming North America so yeah a 2 pole 20 amp breaker works for a couple antminers depends on what model and your line voltage. You need to check what brand of breakers are in your panel currently and buy that same brand. For me it's stab-lok. Then using 12/2 will be more than enough for the 1 line but allows you to upgrade later if you choose to say a 30 amp circuit. The receptacle depends on what you are using a PDU or just the power cord from 1 power supply - likely a nema 6-20.

Being a contractor I assume you have an electrician buddy or 2 buy them a beer for their ear and you could have this banged out in under 2 hours.
1543  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Pangolin Hosting Services on: June 21, 2019, 10:54:34 PM
Not going to lie I was humming and hawing on trying to swing a purchase with them for hosting, I changed my mind after the pre- order wait I'm almost done.

It's weird I couldn't find any breakdown of their "hands on fees" I guess within the 180 days though their warranty covers it. They are still advertising a better price available with long term contracts, but I thought I heard they scrapped the discounted rates.
What I could not find is if you can point it to your own pool? If I can only supply a wallet address it looks like some cloud-mining-scheme.

You get to tell them the pool and worker info, same as you would input it. You have to rely on pool stats to track tour miner. I hate the no remote access. For some reason they talk about access to security cameras which I don't think most people care about - just want miner access to the GUI. You get 1 chance a week free for them to do anything. Not a big deal because I generally only point to one pool so not many changes to be made.

The biggest plus for me and most would be the reduced shipping cost and subsequent taxes or tarrifs.
1544  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to get an abusive NEG removed that was left by a NUKED user? on: June 21, 2019, 05:44:42 PM
Unfortunately you have to wear it as a Badge of honour for your service to the community - great prize lol.

I agree you should be able to remove it, not moderated shouldn't mean no rules or guidelines that feedback should fall within. Hell even if it was just brought down to one line as opposed to the repetitive lines would be an improvement. One thing that would be nice is that if you put the user on ignore their feedback were also made not visible, really only helps take it out of sight out of mind and is only  a band-aid.
1545  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Questions II on: June 21, 2019, 05:35:49 PM
Well I would say at this point it would be beneficial for you to name the cloud mining provider you've bought from.
This way people can look deeper at their contract and terms. It might help uncover the reason for your drop in rewards or at least more about their payout structure. To me there are a few red flags the biggest being they don't want to reveal anything about the pool information. Without this there is no way to verify that you are actually getting the hashrate you paid for; especially when there are discrepancies.

I don't think that your rewards are based on pool luck, mostly because over a given time you should see just as many high reward days as low reward days and they should have an average near your estimated earnings. A lot of pools out there offer a PPS (Pay Per Share) structure that provides a steady consistent reward based on shares submitted and a 12.5 BTC block reward. They often keep the transaction fees, which is okay if it's known. Difficulty adjustment could be a factor but the largest jump up we've seen in the last 6 weeks I think was 5% and that was I believe 3 weeks ago.
1546  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: June 21, 2019, 04:46:44 PM
Oh nice. I'll have to give it a try I have a bunch of them on a PC at home, that might be one. If I have it I'll update it after the bridge swap out.
1547  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My small mining farm on: June 21, 2019, 12:10:17 PM
Nice looking space you built there, hopefully keep the dust bunnies down. I'm going to have that music in my head all weekend lol. I love the looks of your immersion testing, I haven't heard of it being more practical to use for anyone, but have always found it neat.

The only critique I would have is you do still risk exhaust heat being sucked around to the miner intake. You should build a wall down the middle of the rack to create  the cold isle on the intake side, and the warm aisle on the miner exhaust side. I'm not sure about your seasonal temps but you might have some issues down the line on warm days with the exhaust air if he fans aren't powerful enough. Congrats though on the build out.
1548  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My Bitcoin mining farm under construction on: June 21, 2019, 11:29:25 AM
We'll expand to 120MW this year, hashrate will above 2000P!
Cloud mining and pool business is also on the way.
Stay tuned, my friends!

Wow that sounds massive, looking forward to seeing some more images of the expansion as it happens. I'm not to keen on cloud mining but some people are drawn to it. Did you decide to drop hosting, that's a business model I can get behind. Definitely more customer friendly, and helps bring more people the opportunity to mine.

You mention a pool, so you're going to launch your own?
1549  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Free Daily Raffle Rules. Please read prior to participating! on: June 21, 2019, 10:14:10 AM
Just wanted to let you know I received my coin from the 263rd good mood raffle. I'll update with a pic sometime soon. Thanks again.
1550  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Questions II on: June 21, 2019, 09:53:15 AM
If you go here and put in nothing but your hashrate it gives you an estimate of what you would roughly expect in reward for btc per day/week. Further than that is subject to difficulty rise. Apart from that it looks like you are paying .1$/TH per day, so about 26.20$ daily maintenance fee.

It shows you should be earning .0089 BTC daily not including any pool fees, transaction fees or maintenance fees.

How do you pay the maintenance fee? Is it deducted automatically from your earnings? If so they may be using an unfavorable exchange rate.
With no answer about mining pools it seems they are directing the hashrate which isn't really great. You are paying for it and should be able to point it where you want
1551  Other / Meta / Re: I can't find my thread on: June 21, 2019, 08:30:31 AM
Unless you received a PM I'm unaware of - That was just a Legendary member giving you some advice. It's one of the places I posted your topic would be better suited it's the Service Discussion Board
You can move it yourself by going to the bottom left of the page on that thread and selecting "move topic"
1552  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Questions II on: June 21, 2019, 08:20:45 AM
So I don't recall how far you got into the profitability calculator stuff but without knowing what your daily maintenance fees where or any other daily fees you were incurring it's hard to help. If you have your contract pointed to a PPS pool (if given the option) then your earnings dropping by 10% doesn't make sense. Here is a reply I gave somewhere else to round out my impressions of cloud mining.

I mine, so I have a pretty good handle on how to be profitable doing so. If you can't profit by either mining at home or having your miners hosted you are better off buying coins. Hosting is different from cloudmining because you own the gear, your just paying them because they have lower electrical rates to offer.

Cloud mining, you are essentially paying off somone else's gear for them. The contracts are weighted in favor of the provider and allows for them to terminate early without refund if profitable. You can sometimes find a way to make a slight profit through cloud mining if they are offering a discount or promo price at the time you go to purchase, but these are still risky and not guaranteed.

The last one I saw someone post positive earnings for was Bitdeer.

As I noticed if the price going up then my daly payout is decreasing.
This seems to me a logical solution.
What do you think?

Not to mix trading and cloud mining. The price in USD shouldn't directly affect your daily payout in BTC, until price pushes up the network hashrate which pushes the Diff up.
1553  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: June 21, 2019, 07:34:23 AM
Good idea grabbing a couple they are definitely the weak point on the machines so far. I'm sure you'll hear from someone down the road hoping you still have a spare kicking around I'll be able to tell this weekend if that's what my issue is. I'll be busy setting everything up to add in the M20s now that I know it's coming. I also have the Pic of the P11 PSU they sent me for replacement. I thought I had one of the P10 for comparison but I guess not.

1554  Other / Meta / Re: I can't find my thread on: June 21, 2019, 07:15:57 AM
Honestly I think your original thread was fine in Beginners and help. You were after all just asking where you could find a profitability calculator, the rest was just situational. It might come down to the phrasing of the title as most people seemed to center in on the cloud mining aspect which was really secondary. Another good place for a post would be in a Service Discussion thread about the company you bought your contract from, I didn't notice if it was mentioned in the archive or not.

Once you start to look for advice on what cloud mining companies to go with it definitely belongs on the  Service Discussion board.

In regards to your thread, it shouldn't have been deleted. Locked could have worked as the questions where answered. I'm surprised it was deleted because usually if there are a bunch of replies and conversation the thread stays active, even if it gets moved.
1555  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Unofficial Quadriga Cx Thread on: June 21, 2019, 06:51:28 AM
Yeah I was reading the story last night. I knew it was a bad scenario, but never quite imagined it was this bad. Might have picked up a few tricks from his founding partner with all the identity games he was playing to trade with client funds. I do feel I got off lucky with them considering the amounts of times I was holding balances there to set up a purchase or sell some off.

Cotten also created various user accounts within the Quadriga platform, including under the aliases Chris Markay, Aretwo Deetwo and Seethree Peaohh.

I knew they had Bots, but droids. hmmmm
"These are not the funds you're looking for"

Had a good laugh at that part. Then there was more about not filing personal tax returns, and when they were filed not claiming income from Quadriga. This guy was all over the map. I was amazed at how they apparently didn't file corporate taxes either. One reason being one of their methods of KYC was done through Canada Post.
1556  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: June 21, 2019, 05:49:18 AM
You can try and get that off the Pangolin telegram group it's on their homepage at the top; it's usually the fastedt way to get a reply. That's the only place I've seen different firmwares  provided.

Not sure where you are located but you may want to build a variation of this if you can't find a suitable Manufactured option.

It doesn't read like a threat more a statement of facts to some extent. Creepy? Definitely, especially if this is the first and only communication you've had with them. I'd probably just block their PM's
1559  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal to Moderators on: June 21, 2019, 01:23:19 AM
You won't find a lot of them because they get lost in the system pretty easily. Especially if they get up to capacity and only post every few months about spots opening or expansion. Currently anyone looking for hosting has to rely on someone noticing the post and responding.

I've thought about this quite a bit and would even consider expanding on it to encompass the offered services of Distributors/Re sellers. It would help a lot of newbies who go to the mining section to ask about mining related businesses. IT would be a board that served more of a reference purpose than a discussion purpose.

Board name - "Mining Services" Businesses that Sell or Host Bitcoin Mining Equipment.
