2261  Economy / Reputation / Re: A question about hacked/sold account of @Apriand on: February 19, 2019, 09:51:11 AM
Upon reading the OP, it appears as it was collateral in an off forum loan to repay a forum loan more than a sold account. Hard to really tell, that or the person they dealt with wanted to use the account for 1 month for the amount paid, which is shady and untrustworthy to be "lending" out the account.

Can't really figure it out based on the OP. In the end looks as though it was more posted as a warning that it was a compromised account.
2262  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: pre-order antminer l3+ march batch for sale psu included on: February 19, 2019, 09:06:21 AM
OP

You may want to check out this topic [WTS] Posting guidelines for physical goods

Focus on Escrow, Price, Ship from, and perhaps some proof you have ordered and paid for the units.

Come on, fairly poor form to hijack threads - even of this quality. I've noticed you've done this on a few threads including bumping one from almost a year ago.

You should create your own sales topic which you can bump once every 24 hours,  and perhaps even another under services for your business. I'm assuming it's your business and not just a signature your wearing.
2263  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Brand New Delta 2400W DPS-2400AB PSU For Sales. Over 250+ in stock on: February 19, 2019, 08:25:53 AM
Hey there, this topic may help with your sales  [WTS] Posting guidelines for physical goods

Key points in addition to the questions already asked would be: Do you accept forum trusted Escrow - Can you post a picture with a handwritten note displaying your username and the date.
2264  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS][EU] 105 X S9 13 TH w PSU + 15 X DRAGON T1 16 TH w PSU,escrow on: February 19, 2019, 08:20:19 AM
Can you post a photo with the units - Please include a handwritten note that has your forum username as well as the date. This will help show members you have these in hand.

Good luck with the sales
2265  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Avalon Miner 741 7.3 TH/s 1150W on: February 19, 2019, 07:45:02 AM
Good luck with your sales.

Few things -
You may want to move this to the computer hardware section of the marketplace - It will have better visibility there by the people who may be inclined to buy this. You can find the option at the bottom left of your screen; or ask a moderator by using the report to moderator button.

Can you retake 1 photo and include the date and your forum username on a handwritten note - This gives buyers confidence you have the product.
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Giant Bitmain Posts $500 Million Loss in IPO Financial Filing on: February 19, 2019, 06:19:29 AM
Maybe I'm reading this wrong but it appears to be a bit misleading.

At the end of the 9 months are they not still ahead by 500 Million. So while it was a loss of 500 in that quarter they are still posting a profit up to that point. Something else to note about these numbers is, they were pushing a lot of R&D costs at the time. This can be seen with the launch and delivery of the S15 and T15 models that have been shipped out and delivered.

They have also recently announced the next chip design for their S17 and T17 models. These initial up front costs will hurt the bottom line everytime. All of this coupled with this

well keeping a dying shitcoin (ie. bcash) takes a lot of money.

Makes sense why they would have had a couple rough quarters.
2267  Other / Meta / Re: This is not fair, moderator deleted my post. on: February 19, 2019, 04:49:09 AM
See what's happening is there are a few members  taking a lot of time to go about reporting shitposts/spam and generic trash all over the Bitcoin Discussion board. Was your post the worst I've seen, no, but that's not a high bar for the board really.

Your post isn't the only one criticizing the platform by far. Can you tell me what your post added to the thread that isn't already there? I'm being generous as there are probably a lot of similar posts that had already been deleted. Looking at it probably a few more to come.

Just move on and work on only posting if you have something to add that hasn't already been discussed or you engage with a previous post in a meaningful discussion. Make not of how old a topic is as well before bumping it. We've all had posts deleted, it's really not a big deal.
2268  Other / Meta / Re: Now Apriand isnt me on: February 19, 2019, 02:59:57 AM
You will want to message each DT member individually and point them to this thread. That will be the easiest way to get the red removed, and provide them proof it's back in your possession.

Congrats on your account recovery.
2269  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) WhatsMiner M10 33.0 Th/s, 2145W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: February 19, 2019, 02:28:54 AM
That's what I had noticed when my first 2 arrived. I'm not near them at the moment but over the last 3 weeks (Since my back to back power outage days) the underperformer has risen to 30.9 TH/S. Well within the specs when I ordered. That unit is very similar to your NotFuzzyWarm, Something like a 90 spread between the lowest and highest. The unit pulling 31.7 TH/S has a spread of 50-60 IIRC. I'll double check tomorrow.

I'm not about to open mine up but it would be interesting to see if there is a noticeable difference between the boards. I say this because when I was talking to them about the 2 models previously being offered they said it was due to chip batches. So I wondered if maybe they were mixing and matching boards to level out the performance stats, instead of having lame duck batch. Something like 2 great boards and an underperformer.

Well waddayaknow -- my 3rd M10 31T that I ordered last week just came in and despite being over $800 de minimis no bill from DHL re tariff due! Got a feeling one will show up later...

Yeah didn't that happen to a bunch of people last year when the tarrifs were rolling out, good old bills in the mail. I know DHL hits me with anything incoming before it arrives, I get an email but that's for the provincial and federal sales taxes.
2270  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain Release new 7NM Chip and Antminer S17 & T17 on: February 18, 2019, 03:07:58 PM
Can't say I saw that big of a leap in improvement coming so early, that's huge.

I wonder how far out these are from production. If they aren't planning on changing their overall design, it's easy enough to announce their product launch after the first test chips. Anyone think we'll see these selling in September with a November delivery?
2271  Other / Meta / Re: Asking to ban of harzard advertisement on this forum on: February 18, 2019, 02:23:54 PM
Your OP has no examples of these unliscensed gambling sites.

So no one can go and see if they hold a liscense/permit or gold star sticker allowing them to operate in any jurisdiction. Again I say to anything it's up to the individual if they partake in an illegal activity, or an activity that is illegal to them.

2272  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need community opinion regarding negative feedback. on: February 18, 2019, 02:18:06 PM
I believe my page 2 response sums up my feeling on the company and product.

come on guys, that is obvious scam

I don't know the response below was pretty convincing, all caps, buy 200 miners.

I wonder the look on someones face arriving at that airport and not being picked up. Huh  Do I still get my travel refunded?

Or worse yet being picked up, then given the hard sell on anything of value you have or can access.

IF OUR HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE WORK IN THE WAY WHAT WE OFFER, BEING A MANS AND CLOUSE YOUR ACCOUNTS HERE.

For this Bizarro world.

Great strategy so far, but I'll keep my account intact, you go make millions off this hardware. Then feel free to come here and rub my nose in it.

Until then I'll go with "put up or shut up" - sick of all these fakebox hardware illusionists coming here and fighting to pass of their scams.

I think our only difference here, is whether you see it as a puppet account or someone who fell for their BS hook line and sinker like many noobs do.

I personally see this member as separate from the company, until he slips up and shows a connection to them. Sure all the points are positives for the company, but they could be the same positives that convinced him to buy.

I believe I may have even called him out on his willingness to buy from them, but left it at that. I'm sure the topic would have died if people stop responding there, and it has been called a scam more than enough to serve as a warning thread to anyone reading it.

In the end though good on you seeking community input when your not sure. Also it's your trust and, you can leave it how you see fit. This isn't some way out there tag, and there's a low amount of collateral damage regarding it for now. Especially with the willingness to "remove if proven otherwise".
2273  Other / Meta / Re: Asking to ban of harzard advertisement on this forum on: February 18, 2019, 01:09:06 PM
I believe someone already pointed out that there was no goods being sold just by advertising. This was in your Lauda reputation thread.

By your definition of hazard equating to gambling I shouldn't go outside without an airtank, as there are dangerous substances in the air.

Gambling is legal in many jurisdictions, it's not up to the forum to police us or the world. Each member is responsible.to know what they can or cannot participate in for their jurisdiction.

To truly assist people you may want to open a forum support group to assist the addicts.
2274  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need community opinion regarding negative feedback. on: February 18, 2019, 01:00:11 PM
Short story I disagree with the negative feedback at this point. I completely understand why you feel the need to leave but I feel it's premature, and the reference doesn't support it, yet.

The user can be clearly seen to show in 2 posts that they state they do not recommend anyone buy the product. Each of the posts has a last edited time stamp of the Feb 11 and 12th respectively by Frodocooper, which predates your negative.

I look at it this way, is there a chance this member has actually tried to buy the miner and is then trying to defend his countries name, maybe. I've seen people go apeshit over how great their country is so that doesn't generally throw up any flags for me. People who might have been scammed and find a group pointing it out tend to go on the defensive first, no one likes being a sucker.

In the end all i'm saying is there is reasonable doubt. The member didn't actually start the topic, it's likely only still open as OP was banned for plagiarism if i'm not mistaken for this very topic unfortunately.

Just a small note in general, I think you should be as willing to paint green as red, or go neutral for possible red as you would for possible green.

Try to shore up references with all feedback, including risked BTC as that gives the feedback weight to anyone looking beyond the score under the avatar.

Good luck with your DT journey.

2275  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Cell phone Chargers - Cases - Accesories. Save 15% on posted price on: February 17, 2019, 03:00:43 PM
Sorry that is my fault, I deleted it from the title when I updated it.

My intention is to sell within Canada/Usa.

This was my error, again sorry for the confusion.
2276  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 741 - not registering on pool on: February 17, 2019, 02:29:06 PM
Well its good that it all reads as your info.

When looking at the pool, was the overall hashrate correct if a swing of 7TH is noticeable for your gear?

Trying a new worker name is a good idea, I've never used antpool soni don't know the pool interface.

If this doesn't work you would need to start checking with their pool thread or contacting them. You could also try moving the miner to another pool and see if it shows up.

For images you have to upload to imgur or some similar service and then you can post the link here.
2277  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Mining section, over moderated on: February 17, 2019, 04:14:56 AM
Depends on what you want to know about mining. There is a large base of knowledge there already, including the stickies.

Then if you are still lost either create a topic or find a reasonable thread to ask in. I've seen tons of newbies still receive support, then once the question has been sufficiently answered they do tend to get locked. Just try to pick the right board, but if not it will usually get moved.

2278  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Mining section, over moderated on: February 17, 2019, 01:32:21 AM
I would be curios to find out this inner circle you speak of.

I can't think of 1 person who posts there regularly that hasn't had posts deleted/modified.  Perhaps you have some examples of clear over moderation you could provide. I can only really think of 1 case that makes no sense to me.

Also not the first thread created about this, maybe you want to just find one of those and bump it.
2279  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 741 - not registering on pool on: February 16, 2019, 06:47:16 PM
I haven't read through all their different payout schemes, but traditionally Antpool has high fees for mining to their pool. Part of that is they do not include transaction fees in the block reward.

You may want to spend some time checking out other pools that payout transaction fees. Good examples are  kano, slushpool and ck pool. If you ask questions in any of their threads on the pools board people can fill you in more.

Edit: here is a good thread about pool selection

2280  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 741 - not registering on pool on: February 16, 2019, 05:10:08 PM
Sounds good. I would definitely hang out until you see it show up on the pool this time save yourself a trip.

Yeah the only issue with the hashrate showing is you are potentially mining for someone else. Maybe Canaan if it went back to factory settings.

What pool if you don't mind me asking? I know some have different ways for reporting multiple workers, if they're designated.
