1521  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Troubleshooting and repair guide for AvalonMiner models 721, 741, 761, 821 & 841 on: June 25, 2019, 09:25:56 PM
Have you reached out to Canaan to see if they have the parts available for sale? It's really easy to work on the Avalon machines so I imagine you could DIY. If not you might want to check with a distributor like Blokforge or Cryptouniverse. If they don't pan out you could post in the Marketplace you are looking for a couple, iirc they are side specific. Left or Right and marked.
I'll also look through what I have. I can't remember if I have a good spare or not. I actually can't even test it anymore either, gave away the 841. Either way I'll let you know.
1522  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / What sucks to work on? on: June 25, 2019, 09:12:24 PM
So I've been opening up one of my M10's lately, and it was the PSU swap that got me reminiscing. I haven't had 100's of machines pass through my hands or anything but have had to repair or attempt to at least 1 of each model I've owned. So I thought it would be fun to hear from miners past and present about their own expletive laden moments while repairing some hardware. Feel free to throw in some of the software side of things that were equally infuriating.

#1 - This by far still stands out in my mind every time I struggle. It was the T9+ and removing the ribbon cables from the hashboards. I remember 1 was bad enough but I had to remove a second just to be able to swap them around for troubleshooting. Lucky me got to remove the 3rd one as well because it turned out to be the troubled board. Finger tips were numb after the first.

I mention the PSU up top because I was reminded of it while disconnecting the M10 exhaust fan for the PSU swap. Swore a few times and looked for this invisible clip that had to be there because there was obviously something holding this in place with the force of a god.

I'll give an honorable mention to the Avalon 5 pin cables. Every now and then I get one that just seems to stick and grab hold. Then I was always worried I would yank something loose, hasn't happened so far, but every time I take down the 741's there's that moment.
1523  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 25, 2019, 07:29:35 PM
It also doesn't make sense to contact Cryptios and waste his and my time. If I had done something fishy, I would have used a VPN.

This doesn't prove you didn't try to sell the account, neither does saying it's not worth it to for you to sell it. So without any other attempts by you to prove it was hacked which the Cryptios team may have been able to do, it will forever look like you just got caught.

If your fine with that then there's nothing left for anyone to do here.
1524  Other / Meta / Re: Have a whole forum for the Satoshi topics on: June 25, 2019, 03:32:27 PM
All these topics shouldn't exist beyond the first few. The problem is people continuously post the same trash over and over again. Best thing to do is report it as a duplicate/redundant thread to be locked or trashed. Don't even bother to reply as it just invites the same career spammers to pop in and repeat the same things over and over.

1525  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Recommended PSU for Ebit E10.2 - 27TH? on: June 25, 2019, 01:49:06 PM
Well first I would look for a PSU attached to any other miner, sorry had to. Ebit has a terrible name for quality so I hope you have a better experience. If I had to buy something 2500W or more I wuold go with these guys AmityLabs, I have several of their PSU's that have been awesome with at least 1.5 years of steady use. Below is a link to one of their models that would work for you.

Great project. Couple spa rounds is always good.

Reads so good I don't even want to edit it.  Wink
Though a few rounds at this spa is more like a hot tub with 10 guys, no chemical and something that feels like water... maybe.
1527  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: June 24, 2019, 10:32:00 PM
Finally swapped my bridge out last night/this morning. Little guy had a nightmare and ended my session  Cry
So I buttoned it up this morning and it fired up. It did look promising but I only got to monitor it for about 20 minuted before work. Hopefully I'll gt home tonight and all 3 boards will appear warm. I'll also update to that firmware you posted earlier Phil - If it's one I have at home... forgot to check.

we did        8 m-10's
all of the above  stone cold dusty nasty dirty and all of the above slow to clean

Cross posting this for reply  - I completely agree, I was shocked when I opened this up last night the dust bunnies were real, just at the intake side. Definitely a little more work to clean but overall one of the easier machines to work on. Apart from disconnecting the exhaust side fan, that hurt the fingertips.
1528  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Buysolar and I will getting the A1041 to review and demo. on: June 24, 2019, 10:18:47 PM
Avalons are a beast when it comes to reliability, I've never had a real issue with one. It's been a shame they haven't been able to come out ahead of everyone else on an efficiency launch. I think it's been a huge step getting rid of the external controller then following up with the Eth daisy chaining keeps them unique and easy to network. All the benefits without the potential points of failure.  I wonder if these will still be able to operate as 1 worker for all linked chains or if they will now be individual workers. It didn't even dawn on me the switch savings, I'm lucky enough that I'm still small and can get away with a couple home routers networked together to meet my needs and boost the home wifi network.
1529  Economy / Lending / Re: need 0.25 btc on: June 24, 2019, 09:56:55 PM
Do you have collateral? Should be an Alt worth 120% of the requested loan amount. If No, best just lock the topic and walk away. Why you may ask?

Your account has no value, to you or anyone else. So what prevents you from grabbing this .25 and running away, nothing. Then there is the terms which make it look like you are only paying back 75% or 25 % of the original loan amount. That doesn't matter so much though because the application doesn't even need to get to those terms.
1530  Other / Meta / Re: [ALTS] What is the procedure for registering alts? on: June 24, 2019, 09:49:31 PM
You've done more than enough. If you want to make it easier on yourself you could create a Jet Cash reputation thread. Keep the OP updated with a list of Alts you wish to disclose, and links to staked addresses if you like. It's by no means necessary, and you clearly aren't here to abuse the system with Alts you just might find it useful down the road.
1531  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A10 series announced on: June 24, 2019, 09:43:48 PM
machine operates up to 40C, been testing from -20 to 40C.
Controller is in the miner, on chip. Our AI chip runs cgminer

Temps are good, for the summer months so that will be nice when it hits the high 30's here. Are you guys still planning on launching the Units without a built-in PSU? I haven't seen any come up available yet or did the idea get scrapped?
1532  Other / Meta / Re: The temp yobit banned worked right? on: June 24, 2019, 09:31:25 PM
Well we know they didn't line up to launch the same thing immediately the minute the Ban was lifted. The way the Stake campaign was run until it ultimately shut down unfortunately shows that not everyone got the intended message. I don't think we sill see the same sort of mass spam campaign launched off forum here again. If we do it will likely be met with swifter action and a harsher punishment.

1533  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 24, 2019, 09:23:57 PM
It is trivial to fake a screenshot....they have been faked in the past few months.

Correct but usually there is a motive or something to gain from doing so for people who are inclined to try and spread the lies. I don't see any reason for that here, if nothing there is immensely more to lose from pulling those sort of shenanigans. So taken in context I believe the screenshots to be authentic. So in this instance I would ask again what you would need to see for proof?
I'm always interested to find more ways to authenticate online conversations, good tools to have with all the he said she said stuff that goes on.
1534  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 24, 2019, 09:11:39 PM
I don’t think he needs to prove his innocence. The OP needs to prove guilt. He can report the PMs to a moderator who can authenticate the PMs.

I don't know that Admins would take the time to authenticate the PM's. I would say OP showed their work on this just fine using the screenshot of the PM's they were able to receive in an attempt to prove availability of accounts for sale. That being said zackie has been shown a way to prove their claims that they were hacked didn't notice and then came back to see the tag. What more proof would you be looking for apart from the image showing received PM's? There are also chat logs to back them up.
1535  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 24, 2019, 08:55:13 PM
Thanks for that. I will contact him tomorrow, it's late here in Germany....

No problem. It's the only way to really provide insight that it wasn't you. Not definitive as far as I know but helpful especially if they logged in from half way around the world. Unless you were doing some form of 24 hour live stream but that's unlikely.
1536  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 24, 2019, 08:47:59 PM
Another option is to reach out to the Cryptios team. They have access to some IP data for users and their accounts when they log in, to help with account recoveries or lock accounts that seem to be acting suspicious. Not sure if they will respond but that's the route I would go to clear my name in this situation.
1537  Economy / Reputation / Re: Indisputable Evidence of Corruption on: June 24, 2019, 08:31:16 PM
That Asshole. I can't believe they didn't save that for PM's but I guess hiding on a local board is close.

Great detective work, never give up you.

Good project great team. Can't wait for SPSM (spammerisms) coin to lanch.Watching theese.

These make up the majority of my reports. Went hard in the Bitcoin Discussion Spa threads for a while. It was looking good, might be time for another couple rounds.
1539  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Miners - S9s, L3+s and D3s on: June 24, 2019, 07:35:01 PM
Sorry about that. I didn't realise. Thanks for the tip.  I'll post there.

Yes you were. Here is your other thread that's been active a few weeks. I only noticed it after I reported this thread to be moved. Please maintain only 1 thread at a time for selling similar items. So you may want to lock this thread and people can pickup the discussion here.
