1561  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to see all the flags you supported/opposed? on: June 20, 2019, 08:33:37 AM
I was just reading up on this request. Looks like LoyceV created something so you can see just that in response. Here
1562  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Montreal Mining Facility 7.5MW available in August on: June 20, 2019, 04:11:09 AM
Hey I can't fill your facility but you might want to beef up your post a little or it will get lost in the forum. You should proactively put out Photos of the facility, do something to date/timestamp them for people. Do you have a website or anything for people to check out? That's a large MOQ so not a lot of people can fill that so in case someone who can reads this don't make them work for it.

Your post is also going to be moved to the "Services" board in the Marketplace, that's where all offerings go. Good luck.
1563  Other / Archival / Re: [Raffle] .1 BTC prize - 11/16 Spots @ .0068 BTC each on: June 20, 2019, 01:37:04 AM
Bump. Okay so I've been away a few days, and no one else has jumped on this. I believe I will give it 48 hours to see if it fills up. If not I will launch a new raffle to see if I can drum up some more interest in these. Thanks again for everyone who took a spot so far. Everyone else

What are you waiting for it's .1 BTC grab your spots now.
1564  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolin Whatsminer M10 - 33TH at 2145W on: June 20, 2019, 01:19:59 AM
Damn that sucks Phil. I'm pretty sure the one I have is needed but I won't know until this weekend when I finally get a round to swapping it out; I'm running on fumes this week. In the meantime I believe they have missed another ship date, if so I could buy one or 2 and have them ship it with the M20s. Save you a few bucks anyways.
1565  Other / Meta / Re: A wave of bans: 400 yesterday, 300 the day before. What changed? on: June 16, 2019, 10:20:17 PM
I've always wondered how the bot worked or what it's pattern was for sweeping through the forum. I'm sure it will be  along time before we find out if we do. I am surprised how long it's taken to get down to mostly low rank bans Member and below. I do believe the bot to be ignorant to all factors apart from the content of the post.

It will eventually keep on this way as there will always be New/Evading blood joining the forum and a percentage of them will plagiarize and be caught up before they can achieve a higher rank. The higher rank members who've been banned had no idea something like this would ever come, so they got caught off guard. If they knew/remembered they plagiarized I'm sure most have combed their post count to check for plagiarism.

Edit: I may have missed this as I read through. Any reason some users don't receive the Banned! label?
1566  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for Top Cloud Mining Referral and Help on: June 16, 2019, 08:25:20 PM
I mine, so I have a pretty good handle on how to be profitable doing so. If you can't profit by either mining at home or having your miners hosted you are better off buying coins. Hosting is different from cloudmining because you own the gear, your just paying them because they have lower electrical rates to offer.

Cloud mining, you are essentially paying off somone else's gear for them. The contracts are weighted in favor of the provider and allows for them to terminate early without refund if profitable. You can sometimes find a way to make a slight profit through cloud mining if they are offering a discount or promo price at the time you go to purchase, but these are still risky and not guaranteed.

The last one I saw someone post positive earnings for was Bitdeer.
1567  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bought $950 of bitcoin, now this happens: on: June 16, 2019, 08:04:08 PM
The coins definitely showed up from the looks of it, but are currently leaving the wallet by the unconfirmed transaction for the same amount. Did you make the other 2 transactions that were spent from the original amount the wallet received?

If not someone may have access to your wallet. Did you download anything recently?
1568  Other / Meta / Re: Troll abuses self-moderated topics in Russian local on: June 16, 2019, 07:40:49 PM
This is an abuse of rights in its purest form!

It' more a misuse of privilege, on their part. I suggest you and some of the locals try to create a movement where no one posts in their Self-mod topics. Get as many people on board so that when they create one a duplicate is created that isn't self-moderated - It can be done by quoting their OP even. Then there is still the ability to have the discussion they can choose to join in or not.

This is the only way to avoid such instances. If these options aren't removed to prevent shady sales tactics I don't see it being removed for someone throwing a tantrum and wiping threads. We just have to be creative in how we deal with these unique situations.

Edit: to at least preserve the conversation you can also start archiving their threads.
1569  Other / Meta / Re: Troll abuses self-moderated topics in Russian local on: June 16, 2019, 07:00:34 PM
Best you can do is "Report to moderator" Provide them with the proof of Ban evasion. These should be escalated to someone who can deal with it as such.

Next to deal with the self moderated topics - Create your own topic for real discussion to happen in without fear of the entire thread being wiped. That's exactly what the warning at the top says to do. Ideally the troll will starve with no attention.

This is a self-moderated topic. If you do not want to be moderated by the person who started this topic, create a new topic.
1570  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need Flag Support on: June 16, 2019, 03:19:10 PM
Supported. In the future you may want to request support in this thread - Request support for flags here . Might get more visibility that way.
1571  Economy / Reputation / Re: Common Reference link for all the locked self moderated threads. on: June 16, 2019, 02:51:13 PM
I saw you had taken some steps recently after the new changes. Honestly take your time, but try not to get to bogged down in the forum politics. Just do you, and use the systems in a way that works for you. Don't worry about the big picture for a while, it helps.

See you around and I'll keep an eye out here as well.
1572  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stake your flags here if you dont want to start everytime an Topic ! on: June 16, 2019, 02:46:16 PM
To solve that I would edit your OP - At the top write " Link to nikkybtc flag information in this thread - wrong message link copied] then finish it off with this leaving the remainder of the OP untouched.

This way the link still works in theory. Someone could also recreate the flag (for lacking information - not really but it could be argued because of the link) if you and micgoosens remove your support, but that's probably unnecessary.
1573  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stake your flags here if you dont want to start everytime an Topic ! on: June 16, 2019, 02:35:37 PM
The idea behind a communal page for flags really only applies to the "Newbie warning Flag". The best example I can give is a lot of us tag locked/self mod sales topics. These generally don't need a further explanation than that and why you believe those topics are potentially harmful. So it makes sense to point all flags that fit in that category to that thread, and you can post there any additional reasons if you feel the need to do so.

The thread I created has had a few additions, and if there was a scam accusation against one of the people I was flagging I PM the scammed party to open a Scam Flag. I also note it next to the flagged users name in my list.

All contract violation tags should have an acompanying scam accusation thread created or a good reference thread that shows the violation occurring.
1574  Economy / Reputation / Re: Common Reference link for all the locked self moderated threads. on: June 16, 2019, 02:25:42 PM
I have something similar started Why you were flagged by me I created it the day the system launched, and just offered it up as a landing page if others wanted to use it for reference. I expanded on the reasons a little, and am keeping a list of flags created, so far it's only mine. This will help me keep an eye on your thread for flags to support as well.
1575  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL]lol ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ | Up to 0.0375 BTC/w on: June 16, 2019, 02:17:16 PM
See I was going to be truly evil last night and apply [50 spots open] to my reply in the title thread. I then equated that to hunting at the zoo, and thought maybe not today.  Wink
1576  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: looking for a location to host my miners. Anyone know of a good spot, price wise on: June 16, 2019, 02:13:19 PM
The topic may get moved to service discussion - You are looking for a service. This section is more in line with troubleshooting issues. Could fit in Mining Speculation possibly as you are seeking opinions.
It can be confusing at times figuring out exactly where to post. Even if it does get moved it's not a big deal.

I did some searching, earlier this year teslawatt .com was pointed out to be a reliable hosting service by a member. Searching for them I came across this list of services. This is where there positive feedback points to.
Crypto Mining H/W Hosting Directory & Reputation

Just a thought as well, if you are buying new miners to be hosted Pangolinminer , is offering hosting on miners bought through them. They are a distributor for whatsminer gear.
1577  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ | Up to 0.0375 BTC/w on: June 16, 2019, 04:33:22 AM
This is going to be funny. ~40ish replies to the first application.

1578  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: looking for a location to host my miners. Anyone know of a good spot, price wise on: June 16, 2019, 12:54:50 AM
Not sure if the country matters but cryptoboreas had some space not to long ago, you may want to start looking there. Here is the thread I've dealt with allinvain quite a bit, not related to hosting but that's where I would start.
1579  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign Managers - Ineligible users based on Feedback and Flags on: June 15, 2019, 10:53:48 PM
~snip~
You're OT and I'm sure you have a thread about it somewhere just can't seem to find it. Please delete your own comment or edit it to be an entirely on topic reply, currently it has no on topic content.

I never even really considered Bounties, as the activity doesn't happen on forum except for their reports.

It would be appropriate if they only accept accounts with less negative ratings than positive ratings. Neutral would also be allowed of course. That would come closest to the rules we had before the update.
This would be an interesting metric to see used. I think it would still be to rigid though as it still gives a single Dt user out of hundreds the ability to taint an account for what they believe to be a good reason. Then the user would have an uphill battle to get someone to counter it, if they have no history with any other DT. Just a possible issue.

Now as far as btc paying campaigns go, this will be handled on a case by case basis. It's not hard to look at a users trust and see what they have been tagged for. So, depending on the reasoning, users with neg rep will possibly have a chance to join campaigns. (Kinda gonna be a longshot due to what happened when Hhampuz allowed QS to join a campaign and look at the DRAMA that ensued.)

I prefer this approach case by case sounds better than a hard line. It also feels a little more in keeping with a forum vibe of taking everything into consideration. Ideally a few bad experiences won't taint everyone, for the campaigns that don't explicitly forbid them. I do recall Mdayonliner doing okay with his red paint.

It's not a naive reply, it's how people here prefer to do business. I've seen dream pop up a few times, but have no use or need for it. If I'm dealing on this forum I use forum escrow.

Are you willing to use a trusted forum escrow as well for your deals?
Another thing people look for is photos with a hand written note showing today's date and your username to show you have the items. You can see this topic for reference.
