Fml on wait list to enter tourney they have a huge bad beat jackpot and won't devote enough tables to the tourney.
I'm alternate #25 and they called #5 just now. May get in, may have to refund BTCblade and Crosby. Either can cancel if they want as well.
FML really want to play this / so many horrible old ppl that play like 2005

How do we know this is not a ponzi?
because I'm selling 2 shares into a tournament, I'm going to post updates on twitter tonight to prove that I entered and played the event. Then this venture will have an underlying business unit, i.e. something that could make money, not just a story about arbitrage.

This may be fun for this community and I can tweet pix of my chips and update on the tournament status throughout the night.
The tournament in question tonight:
Location: The Orleans Hotel & Casino Start Time: 7pm PT (in 1.5 hrs) Buy in: $125 Top Prize: ~$5,000 (based on entrants, o/u 200 show up for this each week) current Gox USD / BTC price: $12.27 Markup: 1.2 (i.e. for 25/125 of this tournament you pay $30) This is also expressed as "20% markup" and is very standard for buying a piece of this tournament. In fact, my ROI is extremely high in this tournament and I'm selling this at a discount. Of course with variance, there is a large sample size needed to realize this. I may keep doing this if it's good for everyone. Price for 20% of my tournament tonight: BTC2.45
I am only going to sell two $25 pieces of this tournament for ~$30. i.e. you will have 25/125 or 1/5 or 20% of my tournament winnings for $30 USD. I will update my twitter: twitter.com/bryanmicon about once per hour tonight with chip counts, prize pool info, and will take some pix of the stack regularly. I'll do this until I bust or win. The tournament starts at 7pm and a winner is declared usually around 4am PT. I have won or finished top 3 in this tournament about a half dozen times, although of course it's easy to bust this. It's a poker tourney.
Some things to consider:
1) A good poker player loses most tournaments. 2) But the times you score it's huge, like 50x your buy in. 3) There is little time before the tourney starts. only 2 shares available, and if some1 wants both that's fine. 1st come 1st served. 4) If I win more than $1k then I'll need a day or so to head to a bitinstant bank and ship coins out.
So, if you would like to buy 20% of this tournament tonight send 2.45 coins to:
12gER9apoavPLgdqY6bpcPSxeTHpaRKVtH
First 2 get the pieces, if a 3rd or more sends I will send back.

I'm a dirty whore, here to make a buck from your lack of trust So if we bet either way you get a commission on it, no thanks. +1 1) If I lose the bet, I'll give the 5% commission directly to a hash of PatrickHarnett's choosing. Next excuse for not betting me now? 2) Sadpanda and others that hate me & love PattrickHarnet: I know you will disregard these words now, but I do hope in the future you can look at this post and again understand I'm trying to help you here: This is a "Confidence scam" or "confidence trick" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confidence_trick PatrickHarnet has worked extremely hard to foster a community of supporters, currently there exists an almost Catholic level of allegiance to this user. It is transparent to some users familiar with these types of scams. Sandpanda + others - you will hate me right now because of the confidence trick, but please in a few months I really hope you return here and see I was working for good.

And by betting on this gambling addicts bet he setup, you just gave the douche a commission on the site.
I think it's a good site and I appreciate such a service, it's actually useful in comparison to going around accusing people of scams //DeaDTerra +1 and I respect you betting the other side. Nice to have an escrow service to avoid the next Matt Wright fiasco, even for small amounts. I barely understand the betsofbitco.in process. I wish they would simplify it. I paid .1 BTC to make the statement (seems wrong to pay to help them have more action) but I see I do get 5% of total bets in commission. That means if 100 BTC gets fired on this I'll make 5 coins. In 3 months. Doesn't seem like a huge money making venture to me or I would make statements all the time. I just fire one on there when I think I'm right and others think I'm wrong. symbolic 1 coin, symbolic bet. I barely understand the betsofbitco.in payouts - it seems like their system could use a tweak - but I'm firing and putting BTC where mouth is.

http://betsofbitco.in/item?id=696Plain and simple, escrow-ed, I bet 1 bitcoin that PatrickHarnett does not pay back all investors in this program by the end of this year. think he will? "I trust Starfish" ? let's see how much you trust him in terms of BTC bet on him paying back everyone in full with 3+ months to do it.

Seals is still the best BTC poker site!
tytytyty over 150+ players in tonight's DonkDown freeroll. Freemoney has worked so hard to make this site as popular as it is today - I have to thank him again for an amazing system he keeps running. Major improvement to affiliate system underway. If you own a large site and want to market Seals, that's the biggest way you can help us out and also of course make BTC for each player for life. >>> affiliates@sealswithclubs.eu <<<

In response to this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=81542.0 by PatrickHarnett which is was stickied in the "Long-term offers" section, a misnamed Ponzi-corner of this forum which contains nothing but scams. Well I was right about BCST and I'm going to be right about all these too. Here are a bunch of Ponzi Schemes, all are poorly executed and all follow the standard Ponzi 101 model of having a totally obscure business plan with a totally outrageous interest rate. I will be making spreadsheets for each scam showing why they cannot pay the outrageous rates. Ponzi Schemes & Similar ScamsHonorable Mention:Dank and his various, odd scams that even the guys that got rolled by Pirate wouldn't invest in updated to keep up with the new scams

I'm going to categorize scammers into how bad I think they are. BTCBTC Scammer Hall of Fame BTCBTCthis group is reserved for only the worst, largest, filthiest bitcoin scammers. Massive ponzi, large BTC theft, large single or distributed scumbagging (borrow and don't repay) 1) Pirateat40 ( still operating Confirmed scumbag, possible 500k BTC theft ($5M when stolen) ) 2) Bitcoinica Hacker 1 (anon) 3) Bitcoinica Hacker 2 (anon) 4) MT Gox Hacker (anon) 5) Alberto Armandi --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=93445.msg1205151#msg12051516) PatrickHarnett (credit ratings promoting other scammers, ponzi running himself, still operating) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=61262.07) vescudero (ponzi) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=89122.0 RustyRyan (ponzi) 9) Hashking (ponzi) 10) mybitcointrade (ponzi) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=81357.0 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=62023 11) nckrazze (ponzi) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=81927.0Lower Level Scammersthis group is reserved for the Ponzi affiliates (pass-throughs), smaller BTC scams and thefts, & small BTC scumbagging. 1) Payb.tc ($1M+ USD Pirate pass through, top affiliate of the top BTC scam ever) 2) BurtW (outspoken PPT affiliate, wrote "Pirate is not a Ponzi" in his sig, blindly promoted the scam) 3) Dank (where to start. lovable little stoner-scammer with half-baked scams to get you to send BTC) updated this slightly, needs much, much more work unfortunately

If hes changing the contract without a users vote, its fraud and I wont do business with him nor his sites in the future.
what if he offers 4% per week?

I wouldn't sell any of my personal assets to cover any bitcoin losses. This is a business, it has failed. When businesses fail they shut down and usually nobody gets anything. I will continue to make payments from my bitcoin production and buy coins whenever I can. If people continue at act they way they are acting I will just walk away.
Aww boo hoo. You don't want to own up to your commitments to your customers. What a scumbag. It was so easy to take the money but now that you lost it "oh well i'll just walk away". Your account name should be HashDragQueen. why are you here? what are you trying to do? and you? what's your plans?

I'm still not sure why hashking is considered a scammer, hes paying people back as best he can, pirate doesn't even have a scammer tag right now, and kluge is also looking to find a way to pay everyone back, I don't know about the others but he gave them a credit report, that isn't a vouch in the slightest, hes stated this a few times.
TL;DR: you're trying to scare people because you get a kick out of it.
well this the definition of FUD. totally inaccurate. 1) Pirate has the scammer tag. Here look: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=358272) Hashking "trying to pay back people best he can" is horrible logic IMO. This guy is just like the others: borrow at high rates, use future borrowing to pay past interest. it's not a sustainable system. It's a scam. 3) I willing to escrow a large bet on Kluge not paying everyone back in full in a timely matter. scaring people to get a kick out of it? hardly. we're trying to help bitcoin from being associated with these scams. We don't profit from this, save if anyone bets us that they are scams and actually pays.

Since brown starfish likes to delete stuff, here is his current "who pays what" thread [ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=81542.0 ] once stickied if you can believe that: Update 28-Aug-2012: Added RustyRyan. The rating is lower than some of the others because he is new and has a small deposit business, but this will improve over time. Update 30-Aug-2012: Added vescudero. Update 2-Sep-2012: Initial credit rating for Namworld and BTC-Bond added.
