What a coin! Relaunch 2 times. No source. Binary for Ubuntu 14.04 not working because they need the damn db_cxx-5.1 while I have the 5.3 version. No source??? Sorry? How could you prevent a scam like AsiaCoin with no source. If they could provide the binary it is not difficult to provide a source, right?

FAILED!
1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - alcurEX - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Mandatory Wallet Update on: May 04, 2014, 11:59:37 AM
We solve blocks faster than we intend to. People, brace yourself. 120 blocks left with this speed -> only 30 minutes left. The biggest promotion ever in my cryptolife.  Grin

Oh damn read the news late.. I'm only getting 70kh/s per radeon 280x, can that be correct? Sad

That's damn too fast. What config do you have? I see people with around 50-60khs and they are happy. You sure you don't get any HW?

qqcoinminer.exe --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1389028879 -s 60 -E 70 -I 13 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 16384 -w 256

And yea I'm getting a lot of HW. Sad

I set intensity down to 12 and see if it helps.

Try my config a few posts earlier.

One more piece of news for the hopeful here.

The COMM coin guys had a slightly different but similar problem.. and they already have a patch for it.

Their problem was they had a premine, and they lost it.  So they had to block the wallet address to ensure that it could not be used.  Afaik the patch is already in production for COMM.

Could be a simple copy and paste here...

https://github.com/communitycoin/communitycoin/commit/7f07bdfe582683474b1c7ea34da9068780d890d9

But i will also recommend to check Transaction Inputs ON TOP of Wallet addr... to be safe.

And also someone should look at staking code as well.

Another hopefully way to rescue a coin that the dev comes back and be honest with his action, and then destroy all the rest of his premine like here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=549485.msg6503627#msg6503627

Transparency is the most important thing in crypto.

But I guess it never happens then. Cheesy

I agree, you seem pretty capable and so far we have 190 million "legitment" coins. If we can reduce the stake pos to 10% that would add much more value and overall much less inflation. Whos up for it? You think u can become the new dev? I have donations, bounties etc ready

Yea bro loving my 920k ACs again Smiley i will do all i can help haha, lets make sure mircyon becomes dev. and p.s anything between 1-10% POS is best

This has been interesting for sure, spent quite a bit of time today on this.  I diff'd the code against a non-malicious code and found the rest of the issues.. which would need to be patched as the first step (look for //SCAM markers): https://github.com/micryon/AsiaCoinFix/   This could be used as a starting point for anyone that wants to try and fix this.

Address would have to be blocked from transactions, *as well* as staking (I don't personally know how to prevent that part of it yet .. but it should be possible).

But I can't sign up to be the new dev here right now.... I just won't have to time commitment to see this through properly.  And I still have doubts on even if fixed, this will go anywhere..

There needs to be a more solid team put in place, headed by someone with great leadership abilities (like what mongonzo did for WC), for this to even have a chance.  The wallet code fix is just part of it (though that has now proved to be easier).

Also need to : rebuild website, social accounts, start a new OP, work with exchanges.  Just a whole lot of marketing and coordination.  Needs to be complete team to be recruited and put in place to have any chance here.

High respect for micryon after put up much work to clarify this scam. Of course we would like to have you in the dev team for the new AsiaCoin community, but since you said about time pressure, we will need to find someone else.

Community calm down. We are all get scammed. Now is the time to try finding a solution, not to panic. We need a bounty for a dev team to take over, not a list of victims. With 1Mil marketcap we will have a list of over 100k people, who want to see this list ? Let's learn a lesson from WC, they are fine now.

Again thanks micryon for your hard work. We need people like you at this hard time.

Regards,

Why people keep spamming about their lost? It won't help you get your money back unless you move your ass and do something.

Ah dough(facepalm)
Theres that much of a difference between yacminer and mrcminer! Guess i slept through that information earlier on.
Oh well, ill see if i get some time tonight to fiddle the settings a bit  Smiley

what temps do people get on their 280X with 60Khash yacminer? My cards are basiclly idleing on 45-60 degrees (20-40% fan speed) with 40Khash, depending on if its day or night.

YACminer is more optimized for high N-scrypt. I have around 55-70 degrees @ 55-60khs depends on the position of the card. I should optimize more airflow I know but still I'm too lazy for that.  Grin

Whatnow?? i have like 40Khash on each of my 280X (Asus Matrix 280X!)

svennand try this config with YACminer. You have more experience in mining then me  Wink, you can do it better.

"rawintensity" : "7680",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "128",
"kernel" : "scrypt-chacha",
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"lookup-gap" : "3",
"buffer-size" : "2570",
"shaders" : "0",
"gpu-engine" : "1044",
"gpu-fan" : "40-100",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500",

You can try to increase buffersize to 2590 and gpu-engine to 1100 if your card could handle it. All of my cards run rock stable with these 2 configs for weeks, hashrate 55-60khs.

WayForward, can you give us a number of coins mined per 1Mh/s every hour?

TIA

i mined 6 DMD in last 8 hours
with 60 mhash (3x amd290 6x amd280)

so u can see diamonds are very valuable and rare

With around 30 DMD/day with your system is still somehow more profitable than mine scrypt or X11 coins. No wonder alot of people are trying to solomine DMD. Less energy and less heat, more profit. Good decision for moving to groestl. Congrat! DMD network will become more stable. I don't think it will explode soon in term of price, but rather stable and grow like DRK. The fun comes when ASIC scrypt is everywhere and GPU miners move to another algo.

500 blocks remaining!
lol yesterday there was like 64 pool workers at nut2pools, today POOL WORKERS: 294  Grin

yes tell me about it :-)

Yep, the news flies fast. Diff has 4 fold since yesterday. Only 520 blocks left ~ 4 hours mining. Have fun people. Funny to see is what happens after that. Anyway we only have 1.5bil MRCs more ~ 15BTC @ 1 sat price. And the dump from almost 40BTC yesterday @ mintpal (doesn't include others exchanges). So a lot of people who panic yesterday must  bite their lips now for selling too cheap.  Grin

I'll stop doing your homework for you at this point.  There are plenty of GPU devs who could do this.  the choice of Echo makes it a little problematic for C&C to destroy this coin in a few days, but if anyone would like to place bets.... :-)
You were right, I got about 1 MH/s on R9 290. Source code of the miner (ugly CPU miner hack): https://github.com/roulettecoin/roulettecoin-gpuminer. Not for the faint of heart.

Thanks. It's around 20 times faster than core i7-4770k. But I wonder this coin can survive? Nothing after 3 days. What's a pity.

Someone could enlighten me what is the reason mining this coin?  Huh
It is profitable, which is very unrealistic for me, or it is just pure joy mining a new coin?

Nothing can beat the profit of MRC right now, IMHO.
Because the nvidia are doing well... (and actually cgminer isn't ready yet...)

Someone could tell me the current diff. Want to make some quick profit calculation. Thanks in advance.
the coin hasn't been launched yet... I mean they will relaunch it at 00:00 CET (10 gmt)
from the IPO: 1x MNR = 0.00001117 BTC (125MNR/block)

If it hasn't been launched then who mining @ 1gh pool and why are you guys soloing all the time? I don't understand.
I know about the IPO price already, i just need the diff for some quick calculation.

Btw FYI with IPO price if diff > 150 this coin becomes unprofitable. Of course if people willing to pay a price higher than IPO price, then it is different. But I doubt that too.

Now it just instamine coin for whales. I can make same amount what i am mined since february in 48 hours. Fair coin? Don't think so.

Everyone can mine this now and make coins, not only whales.
Your logic is wrong.....if you dont understand what i want to say:

get out of this coin and STFU, you NOOB.
You don't have ANY logic. There will be around 2,000,000,000 unwanted coins. And they will be dumped hard, because today and in next 35 hours many peoples join, just to dump. At 1 satoshi it just most profitable coin. And this price will not stay long.

Relax, calm down. Consider it's some promotion free from the dev. Anyway he didn't get anything at all. Miners get the price, whether they dump it or keep it, it's all up to them.
IMHO it's still better than many scam coin / premined coin out there. Look at the mess @ asiacoin. I still have 0.5BTC worth of AC I bought last day, now it is worthless. The dev made mistakes too. Important is that he recognizes it and fixes it.

This problem could have been avoided by a simple simulation. Seems we have a fix now: https://github.com/microcoinsource/microcoin

First the code was modified after snguyen's suggestion (which I think not bad at all) that we hard fork after block 315000.
After that the code was reverted back to block 311300, we are now at 311501 already. What does the dev think at all? Want to kill the coin faster because of his incompetence?

There is only a new binary at GitHub. The sourcecode is the old one. What do you mean?

Check here:
https://github.com/microcoinsource/microcoin/commit/2e65d585e41e06a94f9118407af843ee066ab920

If he does this, then the coin will die. I'm still holding 100Mil MRCs. If it continues like this I will get out.

Oh come on, it is not everyday that your profit just increases 30 times. It is like jackpot already.
The block reward has been like forever >100k+, so a few days at 300k does not change anything
(and everybody are already holding millions...  Grin)
anyhow the net hashrate has already doubled (that doesn't scare everybody)  Grin

No you are wrong. It was around 10k yesterday @ block 310000. After this block this should change to 9999.9 but because of a bug in the code it becomes 310000.1
You know what happens after that. Cheesy

Holy cow. After 50 BTC buy wall was taken down, now we have another 20 BTC wall. This coin surprises me. Respect.
