in the mean time, it could be a good idea to mine mrc, the reward is around 300k because of a bug (which will be fixed pretty soon)  Grin

Holy **** they are kidding me?? The dev was absent all the time and now the block reward suddenly goes up 30 times. I will dump all my MRC holding now. This is stupid.
it is being fixed... (but seriously, the coin has been always easy to get, so a few day at 300k won't change anything... (are you reftop123 ? Grin)
except some will be able to buy some very cheap...

Oh come on, it is not everyday that your profit just increases 30 times. It is like jackpot already.

AizenSou, you are being a little unfair to the devs.  The early release was forced on them before they were ready. I'm an experienced solo miner but it still took me at least 2 hours to get everything sorted out. Being in a time zone that made me miss the first 7 or 8 hours of the release was also bad luck for me.

Shit happens, live with it.  They tried to be as fair as possible but it is not a perfect world.  Yes, experienced miners in the right time zone took advantage of the imperfections of the new wallet. I would have too if I hadn't been asleep. They might be called diamonds but they are only worth 40-50 cents each.  So you really haven't lost out all that badly Smiley

Hi johndec2, I don't wan to complain but it's very frustrating because I almost didn't sleep last night trying to get the daemon to compile. It failed and I tried the wallet. The wallet got compiled but miners didn't connect. Many core APIs were not available in the debug console. I know the devs are under pressure but IMHO a broken code shouldn't be released at all. A delay won't make users angry more than wasted time trying to get thing done but failed instead.

Sorry if I sounded harsh.

How do you guys have someone with 465Mh? Even at an unrealistic 10Mh per card that's 46 video cards.  I don't doubt people have huge setups, but that's crazy hash.
the cgminer is not optimized... so may-be someone has a better code and not sharing...
(or a 50gtx780ti farm or a 150 gtx750ti farm.... or a 460 cpu farm botnet)

Yeah I have 13 750ti and 5 750s.  Can't imagine dealing with 150 750ti's or the power and heat of 50 780s(not to mention cost).

I also have not gotten paid through miningpoolhub.  These are the reasons I solo mine as much as possible.  I don't care which method, but I've gotten screwed by 2 pools already in my short mining venture.  Just earlier today solo mining I found 7 blocks in about 8hrs, too bad the difficulty is so high now.

*EDIT- I take that back, I just saw some coins pop up as unconfirmed. Must have just needed time or something.

This is the different between hobby and professional. For us, mining is hobby and for someone is business. Don't surprise yourself. I have seen some user from China with 1000GPUs farm.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 03, 2014, 12:52:05 PM
don't know, if the vote is passed to the hash which get submitted (didn't check) the hash won't get validated (nor recognised)
A simple hack, would be to just remove the part sending the vote...

block header size changes, input size to the hashes changes.

So we have to modify 5 hardcoded hash functions to take a different input block size.
Chris74 initially only modified 1 out of 5, thinking this would work.

Christian

okay, now we've got MNR hashing, but we broke HeavyCoin in the process. Meh.

Will take a bit until we can release this.

They change the block size because they remove the voting process? How many hope could they give from a clone while the original is barely alive. Meeh!

Has anyone managed to mine Saffroncoin on a groestl pool?  I was solomining it but considering trying a pool.

Just saw this about ccminer shares not being compatible for some reason.

That's what I said 2 days ago.

@cbuchner1
please give me your GRS address so that I can send you liomojo1's share of GRS.

here's a GRS address thank you

Hi Christian,

Nice to see you here @ Saturday too. Did you mine Futurecoin now or still solomine Jackpot? With the diff now it is not easy to find block even with your monster hash right? Why don't you try http://jackpotcoin.miningpoolhub.com. They promise that the jackpot finder will get 50% the jackpot and the others 50%.

Btw, any chance of implementing jackpot for old Fermi cards? And could you give a short explanation why the hashrate of Jackpot fluctuates so much with ccminer? It is because of the random round hashing?
Sorry for the noobs question.

Thanks in advance.

something wrong with website, we're investigating...

It's working again!

Thanks. Best coin for me still launch. Buy order has 10 fold in volumes and 3 fold in price. Your coin will explode soon. Congrat!
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond Coin (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, coin mechanics, 50% POS on: May 03, 2014, 09:23:09 AM

rpcport=17772 is correct, did you use rpcserver=1 and listen=1 in your conf file?

Sample: name: diamond.conf

Code:
rpcuser=sdkfjskdfjsdlf
rpcpassword=asdfsdfmsdfsdjfdfhsjdhfksdhfksdhf
rpcport=17772
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
server=1
listen=1
daemond=1

I have tried everything. The daemon ends up not compiled so I must use the Qt-client. It syncs finally fine after I copy all the blockchain and txdb stuff in .Diamond folder. But I can't get my miners connect to the client to mine. Hier my .conf file:

Code:
rpcport=17772
addnode=213.229.0.41
addnode=193.77.159.166
addnode=113.168.158.16
addnode=193.68.21.19
addnode=46.105.118.226
addnode=173.192.30.91
addnode=74.214.44.249
addnode=100.1.82.147
addnode=95.58.156.139

listen=1
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=100

# Enable RPC
server=1
daemon=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.0.*

# RPC information
rpcuser=abc
rpcpassword=xyz
rpcthreads=30

# Mining
gen=0

I got Connection refused when I tried to connect to 17772 port and time out error when connect to 17771 port.  Huh
Very confusing and frustrating indeed.

I have updated all the pools to the latest wallet with the hardfork at block 10.000 !

ocminer your skein pool stat looks a little wrong to me? Thanks

cannot connect to suprnova skein pool. All is right, but still get "no servers were found..." wtf!? I have already connected to this pool, but then get disconnect and now unavailable to reconnect

Then you probably got banned sending invalid shares ? PM me your IP and i will have a look, are your 100 % sure you had set the right algo ?
send you pm
i'm 100% sure that everything was right

unbanned you Smiley

Ocminer I have a question. Why after connect a few miners to your pool all of my miners can't connect to your pool anymore? Somehow I got banned because I have more than 9 miners?

I believe the pool at http://dmdpool.digsys.bg should be functional, but for some reason my miner does not show any shares. Would somebody who has working groestl miner come to try dmdpool.digsys.bg so that we know it's working? Thanks in advance!

miner is working, but pool interface have many mistakes^^

Thanks!

Could you please share your seminar config? I am apparently doing something wrong...

The pool interface is using the new 'bootstrap' MPOS theme, which is very ugly in my opinion, but will be working on fixing that at a later stage. I see your shares coming and being stored in the database. We just need some more horsepower to solve blocks.

danbi thanks for your first working pool. I have given up compiling the wallet under Linux. Anyway could you check the pool? Even with this monster hash now we won't find a block at this low diff?

18.67 network hash rate total

2% fee - 17.4 GH/s = http://www.hashharder.com/jha/jackpotcoin
1% fee - 877 MH/s = http://http://jpc.cloudminers.net

so it would be nice for payments for us all AND SECURITY if we evened it out guys.. this is looking like Max coin and 1GH all over again  Roll Eyes

hashharder has only 322.6621 Mh/s ATM. Don't spread FUD if you misread the basic info.

Since i got my first confirmed block with the new wallet, the wallet crashes every time i will start it.

I will post you my windows error report, i know it is in german but maybe it will help you

Hi danbi,

You solved the problem with the nasty bug of linking groestl in kernel ? Could you provide more instruction? I got so far with your help from last page to this:
Code:
obj/checkpoints.o: In function `Checkpoints::WriteSyncCheckpoint(uint256 const&)':
and a lot of undefined reference

Thanks in advance.
1614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 02, 2014, 07:32:08 PM
there is futurecoin (kfc) which is coming soon (multi algo)
What would be best to mine: skein or groeslt ?

skein is still not possible with ccminer so groestl is your only option now. But somehow i think this coin is a big scam so why IPO for 1 month is only 3.8BTC Smiley))
but maybe i will give it a try, who knows.
one might expect (dream... more realistically... didn't work that well with juggalo coin) that people won't sell below IPO coin value

You didn't see what happens with HVC? A lot of more innovation than this clone Futurecoin. And over 100BTCs IPO. Now which price is 1HVC? It's five times lower than IPO price if I remember correctly?
People are more and more careful with crypto. It is not a gold land like 4 months ago.  Cool

I'm currently mining saffron and got quite a few blocks solo mining on groestl.  I'm still getting them but the first 2 days were definitely more valuable at 216 per block.  Unfortunately I had my power cut off temporarily due to a billing issue they failed to notify us about so I've been out of operation for 36hrs.  Not sure if I should still be mining it but I won't have the time to investigate what to mine until I'm off work in 2 more hours.

You mean myriadgroestl or pure groestl with Saffroncoin? I couldn't get myriadgroestl to work with saffroncoin, still don't test groestl.

Something wrong with JPC pool..fake shares ?
I earn 2 times more on hashmaster Earned 44K in an hour on JPC, 30K in 20mn on hashmaster

I checked my payouts from cloudminers, and I got pretty much what I calculated up front, so it seems about right to me.

Why do people always complaining after 1hour of mining? **sign**
They couldn't understand that if a pool takes longer to solve a block then of course payout is longer.
Learn to read pool & block stats before make some claim like FAKE SHARES, people.
1617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 02, 2014, 01:55:49 PM
I can imagine C&C laughing as they read the description of this coin already:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=592251.0

that looks like an easy target with an up to 16x speed advantage over any AMD miners that may eventually pop up.
(because in the AMD miners no one ever bothered trying to resolve the path divergence, like we did)

However if it remains a crapcoin with no value and no notable exchanges, then why invest any effort...

The coin's developer is phm (but he's not the person behind the roulettecoin account and the thread). Phm usually
creates GPU miners. And he's claiming performance will be worse than CPU miners. Quick, someone order him a
book about parallel computing and stream compaction algorithms. Wink

It does.  I decided to cut them a break and spelled out how to do it - curious to see if they'll figure out how to make it work. Smiley

Oh no please Prof. Andersen don't  ruin the mood of CPU miners too soon. Even with the crappy cpuminer now one CPU could manage to solve some blocks / day at current diff. You and the duo C&C should deserved the title CPU-killer  Grin

Btw anyone tries saffroncoin or roulettecoin now?
1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RLT] Roulettecoin | POW | CPU mining | New algo | No premine | Launched! on: May 02, 2014, 01:03:45 PM
New coin with no instruction ? No information about .conf file no RPC port, nothing? A coin only for expert then? Or it is a joke coin?
You don't need to set anything in conf file to use Roulettecoin wallet or solo mine with the wallet. Information about port numbers is provided in opening message, read it carefully.

Sorry I didn't mean to insult anyone. I compiled the daemon and wallet in Linux and found that you haven't include the boost_chrono in makefile. Not a problem with me because I could solve it myself but maybe a little tricky for new users.
The problem it I didn't get any source to connect my client with the network since 2 hours. Would you mind to share any nodes?

Regards,

EDIT: never mind it finally gets connected. Thanks anyway.

I know. It seems mad but people want that jackpot. Its exactly like gambling. Risk it all for the possibility of a big pay off
Their calculation is off by a factor of about 8 Smiley when it said 8gh/s it was actually only 1
but it is still huge (and it is a factor 2 increase since this morning)  all that for a coin with less than 0.3BTC buy order.
Actually, I am wondering why I keep running on it (very addictive this product... ) Grin

Holy ****. 41Mil buy order JPC @ 2 sats @ allcrypt. That coin is going to be big. Keep mining like mad man here, LOL.
