xIntensity Huh I thought it is only possible with cgminer Kalroth? It works with cgminer_skein ?

glad I didn't know that  Grin (this is the part I don't like about the cg/sgetc... they all have their own setting)
If you type "G" while running you should see it

You use 2 threads or one thread ? I still don't know how to optimize cgminer. Thanks for your tips.
1782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 16, 2014, 09:46:37 PM
confirm, it works, 5.5Mhash/s with R9290x (and I think it is already too late... everybody seems to be getting many mhash on 1gh... )
want a real cpu only coin (due to some misconfig, miners work only from the wallet  Grin): rhinohorn

I am getting 7 MHash/s per GTX 780 Ti. We've been busy making this faster - and we are busy still.

Christian

my intensity was a bit off... the amd is doing now around 8.5Mhash/s at 56°C

You have 290x? Which intensity do you use? I got 7.2Mhs for 290 but it 90C. Still don't know why.

I use xIntensity at 102 (it is outside the computer case but usually it runs around 75 with open windows (not MS the real one))

I like to have my OS as minimalistic & small as possible. just a shell, ssh, apache and thats it. it seems that kubuntu is a "all-in-one" packet with KDE & stuff. any suggestions? is ubuntu server worth a shot? I don't want to have any overhead if possible.

It depends. I do always prefer debian and I always install the minimal installation. It works pretty well with AMD, but newest driver from nVidia doesn't like it so I need to install Xubuntu. Ubuntu is the same but Xubuntu is more lightweight IMO.
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 16, 2014, 09:16:02 PM
again, two short questions:

1. why can't i clone from github as suggested in the start post? I always get a 403 :/
2. what linux do you guys suggest for a 5 GPU rig? I'd like to use debian if possible. Is everything available for that distro?

nvidia doesn't like Debian. I use custom Debian for my AMD rigs and Kubuntu for my nVidia rigs.
Gonna build 10 rigs 750ti x 6 soon. Waiting for 200 Risers from China. Man it takes forever.

I don't think it will worth to optimize your HVC-miner anymore. Next days the coin price will drop so much that profit miners won't bother to mine it anymore.
Still it would be nice to be at the top 10 of 1gh pool ranking.  Grin.
1786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 16, 2014, 06:21:24 PM
I agree

Christian give us at least one in beta, all owners of ATI are now too advantaged Sad .

It's probably too late now already

Not yet. The diff still around 100 and drops a little. Maybe people scared about new things Cheesy
Hopefully Christian gives us the miner before too late. I expect today Wink.
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 16, 2014, 05:06:10 PM
is this real?

For the impatient, here is HVC cgminer version that works on 1gh: https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_skein

It currently only works with GCN cards (or so I believe). No binaries are available as it is a WIP, and I will not provide support for this version.

Please configure with './autogen.sh --enable-heavy --enable-opencl' and run with '--heavy --vote 1024' (or your preferred vote). Best intensity setting seems to be 3 for all cards, but you may have luck with higher values.

I'm sorry to say but Christian, this time AMD people again have more advantage than us. I confirm that this miner works with AMD cards.
Expect the prices drop of HVC like MAX again.

Net hash doubles since a few hours. GPU-miner on march  Grin
We CPU-miner will lose this war soon.
1789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: March 16, 2014, 11:33:08 AM
Although my inner greed won't accept the fact that you are having the Heavyminer for yourself Christian (Grin), but I do appreciate that you do that instead of releasing the miner to the wild like last time with MAX. You have protected the early investors and people of heavycoin from FUD. And you deserve your earning after much hard work.  Wink

When you release the miner, whether with fees or not, I will be happy to comply. You are still one of the best respected devs in the community, Christian.

Regards,

Aizen.
1790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] - Wecoin - Keccak - PUBLIC PREMINED COINS - Join the premine now. on: March 15, 2014, 10:58:03 PM
Some kids (the devs) from developed countries tried to get rich through crypto and scam. People open your eyes, don't let greed fools you again.
I think he's the same one who created the clone Flappycoin. Creating a coin is not difficult, the most difficult part is building the infrastructure around it. You think a highschool kid from Vietnam could do all of this alone ?

I'm not surprise with this scam, but to be honest he's very smart to think of some excellent schemes like that:
- Create a IPO, get 100 BTCs
- Make people believe that they are mining the new coin, but instead mining MAX for him. The BTCs he earn through this mining scheme is over 100BTCs already. Do you think why MAX drops so much the last few days ?? I only think one of the reason that the dev dumps his MAX coins.
- You mined MAX for him, he send you a worthless coin back as a proof. So people believe that they are mining the right coin and continue to mine. He laughs at your stupidity and enjoys your BTCs and mining power.

Sorry people but I just feel pity for you.

Congrat, dev. You are a genius, but in another way.

PS: I know how big is Ho Chi Minh City but some of my Vietnamese friends said the people there could kill a family for you with only 2 BTCs. And it is not difficult to find some kid there if you have money. And 100BTCs is a lot of money, especially in some countries like Vietnam.
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - alcurEX - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Mandatory wallet update! on: March 15, 2014, 12:10:13 AM
It is nice to see MRC on the rise again, but I do prefer a slow down for a few days more to collect my 100mil MRCs Cheesy

I will not release any of my coins under 10X more.
We are just begin. Smiley

It is 4 satoshis already Sad My BTCs are still stuck at Cryptsy Sad I want to buy a few mils before it is out of my reach. Btw if MRC has enough interests it will go up to 100 satoshis, because we are on decreasing block rewards now. Not only it's harder to mine if diff goes up, it is more scarce given the nature of MRC's block rewards.

Some better volumes are being traded now on both poloniex and mintpal.

Yeah almost 200mil MRCs at 2 satoshis were eaten up today. I need to hurry up before MRC rises back to 10 satoshis again.

Yes it is, lets all meditate at 2 PM  Grin and think of MRC and alcurEX

now 30 minutes left until their meeting starts....

Hope that MRC's price won't go up after the meeting so I can collect 100mil MRCs Cheesy

ok ill share it to you guys..

eventhough i didnt get any thanks or love.  Cry

TC 18432 I 12

same settings on before N factor.

gracias

I only get 75khs with your setting. What are your others settings like gpu-engine, worksize, lookup-gap, gpu-threads e.g?

Thanks

some coins should still be left without this kind of exposure, MRC  is one of them. Now all multipools will rape it.

Isn't KGW implemented?

If you are able to implement scrypt-jane to work with multipool, you will be soon richer than multipool owner. Technically still impossible now. Don't make such statements.

What statement? I'm asking a question.

Oops.  Sorry my bad. I was answering the statement of bittick.
Regarding your question, since MRC adapts the diff everyblock, it is the same as KGW. Someone corrects me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Whatever you think. I'm basically a miner so I understand what miners think. We want to make profit. As long as we making profit, we will mine the coin. Frankly, I even sold a few DRKs with 0.0005 before because it was very easy to mine with CPUs one week ago. I cancelled all of my sell orders when I see the GPU miner comes out. Of course I hope the price will go up. Basically DRK mining with GPUs is still not profitable in comparison with other scrypt/scrypt-jane coins. Or could you give me some better advices ?

DRK is currently the most profitable CPU-coin
MAX is currently the most profitable GPU-coin

There's no such thing as a CPU-only coin as a GPU is really just a very specialized CPU and all algorithm's from conventional CPU's can be emulated by GPU's

Biggest challenge for GPU'fiers today is probably Riecoin. I think that will stay "CPU-only" for a long time.

I agreed with you most of your saying. Except that DRK was most profitable CPU-coin only 2 days ago before GPU miner comes out. GPU-miners has changed the game. Your CPU won't stance a change anymore. With current diff my 100 Cores only earn 20 DRKs a day. So around 0.01 BTC. It even not worths the electric bill.
1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | Anonymous (alpha) | KGW | No Premine | ASIC Resistant on: February 18, 2014, 10:29:12 AM
Big dump order from 8000 DRKs for only .0017999 BTC

GPU mining has changed the game, guys. I think I will sell all of my DRKs now. Big whales with big farm will come, mining DRKs to death and dump. That happens with every coin that profitable.

So basically, you're panicking because some schmuck wants to manipulate the price? or you want to manipulate the price by creating a panic sell? which is it?
