Yes. You need to donit for all newpacs/606’s you have connected.
542  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: September 03, 2019, 08:28:42 PM
understood and to be clear this is a r606 that I have.

what I see as it slowly lowers the speed is 0: GSI 0 - peak adjust: target frequency 550mhz - > 543.75mhz

Have you tried the may 13th version of cgminer yet? Im asking again as I find it strange that it will hash with all the chips and drop the frequency slowly. Its very similar to the issue I had with the newpacs on my win10 pc. They would reduce hashrate no matter what I set it at and also keep resetting. Its a quirk with my machine which i never figured out but the testing I did for vh helped alleviate the problem in subsequent versions of his build. The best of which for me is the May 13th. Its worth a shot considering everything else you have tried. Have you got any other usb peripherals running at the same time?
543  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Terminus R606 CONUS shipped $260 [No non US shipping] on: September 03, 2019, 08:24:35 AM
Does the $260 price include a PSU?
Thanks,

No, Just the miner.

Just throwing this out there.....are you still against shipping it outside the US?

I’m in the UK and have bought gear from philipma1957 and bill gator with no issues.

The problem is time. With US shipping I put it in a box, put a label on it, put it in the front of the office and away it goes.

When shipping out of the US I have to fill out customs forms and drive my ass to the post office, wait on line to ship and pay full price vs. the online discount.

I really don't want to sound like a jerk and say "Yes, it's $45 extra to ship to the UK, and by the way since I can't do it from the office it might go out tomorrow or it might go out next week depending on when I can make it there."

-Dave

Thats fine mate. Totally understandable its more aggravation for you. The offer is there though if you change your mind. Cheers.

What version of cgminer are you running? I found I had better results with my newpacs on the May 13th version rather than May 26th. Havent a clue why. I helped vh with some testing on my win10 pc as it seems to be a real fickle machine running Newpacs.

P.S. i know yours is 606 but its the same chips and controller  Wink

The hub power issue aside i run my ‘newpacs on stock voltage position at 600m.
548  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PSU is not working on: August 19, 2019, 07:18:37 PM
Contact the place you bought it from and get a refund. Once you have the refund buy a server grade psu. Much more durable and better than those cheap "mining" psus that look like atx ones but built from cheaper components.
549  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac/Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: August 19, 2019, 06:25:55 PM
I make a USB hub great for running these sticks, and it takes in 12VDC.

And its a superb piece of engineering/electronics!!
550  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: NewPac 2Pac Rockminer U10 compatabilty on: August 19, 2019, 06:11:14 PM
You should be able to run two setups on two different instances of cgminer each with its own worker name. So one would be your "username.10xnewpacs" and the other would be "same username.8xU10s" or whatever combination you choose. They would show up as two different workers but you should get a whole hashrate on the pool. For example I have ten workers names on bitminter (although only using one) but it will show my whole hashrate on the main stats page but in my account I can see each individual worker shares.

Have you checked the Newpac/Terminus R606 thread for answers. Rockminer actually copied sidehacks Newpacs and didnt give him a penny for them. Thieving scum!

Anyway, in the thread there is a version of cgminer built by vh with autotune functionality. So you can set a freq in the .bat file and cgminer will automatically tune it to its highest most stable hashrate.

So my NewPac seem to be working fine with active fan cooling it. Its running smooth on 200 Mhz. Do I need to worry about anything if I want to increase the clocks even more? Or should I just start increasing gradually and see whether its stable?

If you have still got it plugged directly into your laptop usb port then I would stop there. These sticks really do need a powered usb hub to run at higher speeds.

Hi Chet,

By all means stay, I would rather have a small piece of something frequently than a bigger piece of something months apart. 👍🏼

I’m eager to get my hands on one soon. Been holding out until i sold off my old pc and now ive got money waiting. Cant wait to get it sitting next to my 6xnewpacs and gekko copperplate usb hub.

Two in a day! :-D

Well that second one is a nice surprise. Keep them coming chet, two a day will certainly make up for the lack of share percentage I get when your mining here  Cheesy
555  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: GekkoScience Compac+Raspberry Pi+bfgminer+Slushpool+Bitcoin core on: July 23, 2019, 03:43:14 PM
There is a dedicated support thread in the hardware section for most of the Gekkoscience product lines. There is also a variant of cgminer developed to run all of the gekko products which is great.

This is the 2pac/Compac thread:-

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1764803.0

There is also the Newpac Thread (which is the latest usb stick) which is further up the hardware section thread list.

Obviously just spreading the hash about a bit so its not all in one pool. Probably trying to figure out if they can earn more here compared to where they were.
557  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: July 13, 2019, 08:48:34 PM
Ya, that last payment was 2.5-3 times less what I'd had the two before.
But I suppose we've rattled through three blocks in just a couple of weeks.
Will the payments not balance out - less BTC but more frequent?
At the lower hash rate it was sometimes painful.. Particularly that 8th Sept to 21st Jan dry spell :-(

Yea thats what I mean, if we can get through them one per week at least it will certainly keep things balanced
558  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: July 13, 2019, 09:44:58 AM
Chet has knackered the "Computational Power" box - perhaps he could donate some coins for a new one!

Power just there now was 365,805 Thps, but the CP box could only fit 65,805 on its screen! :-(

Nice to have banged through a 58%'er in 10 days, and already be 14.2% on with the next!

If he can get them a bit faster it may well make up for the massive hit in share percentage I've lost since he started mining here.

Odd question...

Are you running into a usb bandwith issue on the pi?
560  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: July 08, 2019, 03:23:43 PM
Really? I'm genuinely impressed the three-port-shared regulator is able to handle that kind of juice.

You're right, I was at work in the middle of plastering a ceiling and thought I had seven sticks, but I only have six.... *facepalm*
