Well big player "chet" finally got a block. Shame my percentage has taken a massive hit and will take ages to recover. Hopefully he managed to get a decent profit though lol

I was in the same boat until a year or so ago when sidehack brought out the compacs. I set up my own raspi mini rig with three of them running. Total noob with raspi and its associated programming "stuff" but I managed it with the help of members here. Once it was setup it was just having fun tweaking it and getting it to run stable. Nowadays with sidehacks gear and vh's cgminer its a doddle. The help on here is fantastic and is my first port of call for anything mining and most computer based questions aswell.

I sold over 80 block erupters on Ebay recently. Always indicated they where novelty only. They still sold well. I have lots of old miners for back in the 2012/2013 era of mining. Block erupter blade anyone? How about a gridseed or 10. dont tease im still happy if i can pick up a S1 for $40 UK mining gear is expensive as hell Damn right it is. I purchase all my gear from the US and even with customs duty etc it still works out cheaper than buying direct in the UK.

so...i bought an arctic USB fan that likes to blow up USB ports it gets plugged into. I haven't pulled the hub apart yet to inspect, but ports D and 1 are now dead. Are the board components easily sourced so I can fix my hub?
Wow. Never heard of that before. They've obviously upgraded them since I bought mine

Hello, today a newpac arrived and I want to adjust the core voltage. But I only can find measure points for 2pac devices? One image in this point is very small I found where I can measure core voltage on newpac but the big image is not opening. Is there a bigger one? Greets
You shouldnt need to adjust the core voltage on the newpac. All 6 of mine run stock voltage at 600m getting 134ghs each. You can measure the core voltage and the details are within the last couple of pages.

I have used a bunch of different ones slap a breakout board and they all work the same to me. Maybe the efficiency they are rated at?
That would be it. Or they are just listed under one of the three different part numbers they use for the same unit. An easy way to tell efficiency is the platinum ones have a blue mains socket whereas the black ones are only gold rated or below.

So have you had the nod from the manufacturer for global release now and will it be all batch two units?

Seems like we have some "big players" on the pool. At time of posting its 84PH Hardly worth running my Gekkos now

Did you buy them new or used? Are there any signs of browning on the pcb? Where is the voltage pot set? Do the four good ones run ok on the same hub as the bad three?

anyone know where I can get my hands on a 2.1/5.5mm barrel jack to PCIE 6 pin male cable that isn't some cheap junk shipping from China? I'm looking to power the Odroid SBC running my miner off my breakout board instead of the 2A power adapter that plugs in the wall. I'm trying not to have to make my own.
Thanks
For the power you are going to be drawing the cheap chinese ones will be perfectly fine.

I will be making the new firmware available to resellers. It requires physical access to the hardware to install, and firmware alone won't prevent the temp sensor failure - it'll just react differently to the failure. But all Batch 2 units will have both the software upgrade and the hardware fix. I think we've pretty much found and fixed all the problems now, so assuming everything tests out okay, I'm quite comfortable with Batch 2 units being sold overseas.
Once we're into Batch 2, or Batch 1 units sufficiently modified, I'll let everyone know the starting serial number after which units can go anywhere.
Glad to hear all the "bugs" have been squashed and the overseas shipping is imminent. Can't wait to get my hands on one!!

Couldn't find an ITX Z270 board so had to go for a Z370 instead. Thread now locked.

Would anyone be interested in an addon box for the R606, a self enclosed auto updating pi box, complete with display?
I have had multiple requests for it and I'm putting together numbers for it now.
Ive been toying with the idea myself. Something "standalone" to run the R606 (when globally available) and my GekkoHub. All depends on cost of course, but I'm interested to see what you come up with. I was looking at a 7" screen with Pi mounted behind it in some sort of case to house it all.

I have a few z270p with original boxes if you'd like, they have a celeron CPU but I guess you won't be needing this.
I need to check shipping price to the UK but I could let it go for 50eur + ship if you still need it
Are they ITX boards quentin?

Best to ask this in the “Mining - altcoins” section of the forum which is further down the main page

Hi GekkoScience,
Why is my R606 always running at around 200MHZ??? Shouldn't it be at 550Mhz like the T and the command?
Also, Is there a special command to turn on ASIC boost?
What kind of machine are you running it on? Im going to guess and say a win10 machine?

I'm after a Z270 ITX Motherboard. Preferably complete with all packaging, manuals, cables etc.
I'm planning on doing a new build for my nephew but obviously want it to be as cheap as possible, so asking you lovely folks if you have a spare one lying around. It will need to be shipped to the UK.
Preferably it would be a higher end one along the lines of the Asus Strix (but doesnt have to be one of those) as he will be gaming on it and he likes the bragging rights to his friends.
So if you've got one and want to sell it then comment in here and maybe we can sort something out.
Thanks.
