There is no official announcement about the campaign relaunch; but a couple of days ago I did see this in the service board

I'm not affiliated with Yobit, just letting people know that its open again.  I know there has been some controversy with this exchange in the past so if Theymos wants me to take this down I will.  Just letting people know its available for those that want to earn some btc.

Just FYI, Trezor uses something of a proprietary method of signing messages using P2SH addresses. I'm not sure if any other wallet is able to replicate this. I believe the method is published, just there is no accepted "standard" as yet. Much like Electrum and "bc1" addresses.

Hmmm, that's odd, I got another one staked a couple of weeks ago and there was no issue.
Quoted and verified.

But anyway, thanks for the info

Unable to verify... what wallet/sig generator did you use to create that signature using a P2SH address? Huh
The tool to verify/sign on trezor.io website

Raspberry Pi 4's CPU is much faster than 3B+'s. 1 GB version seems to be priced the same as the third model, at least in my country. If I were you, I would buy 2 GB or 4GB model of Raspberry Pi 4 and HDD rather than 3B+ and SSD. The fourth model has USB 3.0 and gigabit Ethernet unlike previous models. Buy a small SD card only for the OS, either 8 GB or 16 GB one.

Fair enough; difference seems to be of around 20€ using a 1TB HDD and a 2GB pi 4B and 30 if raspberry of 4G. I'll give it some thought while I wait for the retailer to restock (looks like mid-July  Undecided) and if I happen to come accross any more doubts; I'll try to get them solved!

Thanks for the help!

Edit: Just realized that supply cable was not included; price has gone up a bit to around 80€ on Raspberry 4 4Gb without the HDD, against 40€ of Raspberry 3
1771  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: June 30, 2019, 07:14:55 PM
What node are you reffering to? Bitcoin Core? If so, then the answer is yes. Lightning Network node? You don't have to open channels but then such node doesn't do anything. In order to route payments, you have to open quite a lot of channels.

Understood, thanks!

Raspberry Pi 3B+ is enough to handle Bitcoin Core and Lightning Network node (LND recommended). However, I would recommend you to synchronise with the Bitcoin network on your computer and then copy blockchain data to an external hard drive. Don't use 256 GB memory card. Most of such cards are not designed to handle constant reads and writes. If you haven't bought that model of Raspberry Pi yet then consider buying the latest model (4B) with some extra RAM.

I have not bought yet the hardware, but my budget is quite limited.
I had thought about the flash card being a problem; and the only feasible solution I could find to that is to use an external HDD (or even SSD) rather than a flash card, connected on USB.
1772  Local / Servicios / Re: Intercambios con malas noticias Bitsane y Bitrue on: June 30, 2019, 04:14:35 PM

1773  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: June 30, 2019, 03:16:08 PM
I've reading trough the forum and some googling; because I'm considering opening a LN node with a raspberry, but there are some concerns I have and haven't really found any useful info out there (maybe I should have look further). Questions are the following:

  • Would I be able to run a dual node on the raspberry? (BTC+LN)
  • I understand that to run a node you don't need to have an open channel; am I right?

I'm sorry to ask if this has been answered before.

Thanks in advance

I'll give some more details, as I believe that will help resolve the doubts.

I'm planing on using a Raspberry PI 3 Model B+ plugged straight to the router, and with a 256gb flash card for the OS (Raspbian). Then I'll be using the Core client, then things start getting a bit fuzzy for  me; I'll use Lightning Network Daemon, then some port forwarding on the router and finally create an automatic reboot with a backup (I believe that's the order for everything)

btw ur trust record isnt any better tho  Roll Eyes

I have to disagree, my only "negative" thing is a neutral feedback for a trolling to a "likely scammer" that went a bit sideways in the end.

Now, let's get back on topic; you say you have DOGE, please state how much DOGE you have  Wink
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: I buy DOGE on: June 29, 2019, 10:45:11 PM
why cant u just but it directly from an exchange?

Exchanges are centralized, have fees and most of them want to know who you are

either go first or use an escrow ...

You are some funny guy asking to send first with a solid -4 trust, having woken up from a period of inactivity recently  Wink at least you consider the posibility of escrow....

Not at home right now so can't send a new signed message. Assuming it's an ERC20 ETH token, send it to the ETH address I posted here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3243635.msg49283167#msg49283167

I have no problem with that; will wait for your confirmation before sending

It seems that i cant send you PMS any more, the forum notification says to buy copper membership.

The amount that i can repay is 0.018 BTC. The lending amount is 0.015 BTC

Yeah, there is some kind of restriction to low rank members...

Alright; once Darkstar_ gives you his address so that you can send the collateral, and okays me I'll send you the 0.015BTC.

That leaves you 10 days (until July 9th), to repay 0.018BTC

I think that sums up everything?
