Como ya he comentado antes, salvo que tengas una formula mágica para poder adivinar la contraseña, va a estar jodidamente imposible la cosa, pero eso ya no es algo que dependa de mi.

He descargado y abierto el archivo sin problemas, efectivamente hay 198.02BTC   Si el archivo no está corrupto, el problema está en tu cliente.

A modo de apaño, se me ocurre que lo ejecutes con el wallet.dat original, pongas en la carpeta Blockchain--Wallets este wallet de ricos con otro nombre (en mi caso wallet foro.dat), y con el cliente abierto, Archivo--Abrir Monedero---Wallet foro. Le va a costar un rato cargar, ya que tiene que escanear todos los bloques para ver transacciones entrantes.

Siempre podemos mandarle un mensaje a Cobra y comentarle

Basicamente, si. Una vez cargado imagino que intentaras sacar el hash del archivo, y usar hashcat para intentar sacar la contraseña.... La verdad, espero que no te hayan cobrado mucho por esto.



Si quieres, se podria intentar. Ahora mismo tengo Core ejecutandose como de costumbre de nodo, por lo que está completamente sincronizado. Igual venía de ahí el fallo? Otra posibilidad es que te hayan vendido el wallet.dat corrupto o invalido, para ya terminar de tener todas las letras de estafa

Lamento decirlo, pero lo más probable es que no consigas hacer nada con ese archivo. Si bien puede contener los fondos que se indican, seguramente no tienes la contraseña, y es lo suficientemente compleja como para que se venda en lugar de que el vendedor los extraiga por si mismo.

Deberia funcionar? Si. Sirve de algo que funcione sin tener la contraseña? Pues.... nope

Como de antiguo era el archivo? (me desvanezco a buscar la explicacion mientras respondes eso, que me suena haberla visto el otro dia)

Y tal y como recordaba, el otro día se mencionaba una situación parecida con un wallet.dat antiguo. Dejo el enlace al hilo por si quieres repasarlo entero, pero te traduzco lo que considero más importante para lo que supongo que quieres hacer (ver si hay fondos, y moverlos a una nueva):

-Como directamente no puedes abrir la aplicación, descartamos hacer un "dumpwallet" desde la consola.

Asumiendo que el archivo está corrupto, y por eso no has podido abrirlo, puedes hacer lo siguiente:

• Crea un acceso directo a Bitcoin QT y selecciona "propiedades"
• En el "destino" añade un espacio seguido de --salvagewallet, aplica cambios y aceptar
• Debería parecerse a lo siguiente: "C:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe" --salvagewallet * te adjunto una captura de ejemplo
• Abre Core desde el acceso directo

Si te sigue dando problemas, dime que indago un poco más. Puede que dar por hecho que el archivo esté corrupto sea exagerar un poco, pero si de primeras no lo puedes abrir....

Sobre esto ultimo.... era una instalación limpia de Core, o simplemente has actualizado el viejo por el nuevo?

Even if I love seen the drama (PS: no I don't), would a signed message from the address that was used to create the account do the job? I remember that when I set it up, the default wallet provider you had linked in the register page was blockchain.info

Now, I know that blockchain doesn't let you sign messages per se, but he could export the seed into Electrum, and from there, sign a message. If he has the email used to sign up into blockchain and the password, he should
be able to get the seed from the security center. I doubt he'll have any seed, because if the account was created 7 years ago, I think that giving the seed was not a default thing at the moment. But, having the email, he can ask for the Wallet ID and login with the password.

Realmente ahora mismo me compadezco de los compañeros que estan trabajando en petroleros; les espera una larga temporada de estar parados para que el buque se use como almacen flotante....
Si mal no recuerdo, se dio una situacion parecida (sin caida de bolsa, me centro puramente en lo mio) cuando la guerra del golfo. Bastantes profesores de la uni nos han comentado como eran aquellos dias de incertidumbre, con los barcos cargados hasta las trancas y sin saber cual iba a ser el siguiente movimiento.

On this, we agree but with a small difference. The reasons to create and suppoort the flag back then, and the reasons to support it right now are completely different.

If I got the whole story right, the flag was created because:

a) There were discrepancies with 2 team members
b) One of said members stated that he had not authorized his image/profile to be posted as part of the team
C) The owner did not answer back then.

But now, the team has replied and provided some evidence (I agree that the contract would be something compulsory to end this, as it would bring an explanation to point B). Without that contrat, tough, point A and C are still covered, and point B is looking like a disagreement between two parties because of monetary reasons.

Even more, you are saying that it is high risk to trade with the user (flag type 1), but you yourself said that "we don't know who will scam but we can't raise flag to any companies without any clue". You are using a flag that was created for different reasons, to support a hunch about a completely new situation. If you still believe that there is reason enough for a flag about the casino (new businness), then I'd suggest you created a new type 1 flag, and provided the neccessary evidence to back your claim.
