1541  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning}: Fake Trezor (geo-target) on: April 03, 2020, 03:04:19 PM
That is rather easy to prevent; NEVER click ad search results Roll Eyes

Also, don't use google, don't use Google, don't use Chrome and... well, check the link and everything you download

You should also send an email to the recovery team with one of those signed messages. Just a thread in meta might not be sufficient

Hope it works out for the best Smiley

As far as I can tell, the recovery team only works for people that have lost access (passwrod mostly) to their accounts. A ban for plagiarism is in other whole level and I pretty much doubt the team can do something about it.

you're right! this probably went down in the process of the thread. in principle, you have already laid the right track yesterday!

You could also export the private key (same tab, but private key instead of sign) and sign it on electrum (for example).

Not really, as it turned out that blockchain only lets you sign or get the private key of imported addresses
1543  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary account banned! [Appeal][1+ year passed] on: April 03, 2020, 09:30:43 AM
i had the link to the FAQ for seed export still open and before i could write it down iasenko overtook me Grin
but in the end, it doesn't matter. The main thing is it could be helped.
that in connection with the possession of the original mail address + the willingness of a responsible person to give you a second chance should could be enough to get ahead here.

Not to be bitchy about it (didn't have a good sleep tonight so maybe a bit), but I had already replied with that answer yesterday...

The only alternative that comes to mind is that if you still have the seed for that wallet you import it on electrum, and from there you signed a message.
If you don't have the seed you can see it again on the security center, as it seems that you are logged in to be able to take that screenshot, and do the above step.

But, as you say, the important thing is that it got resolved.
1544  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary account banned! [Appeal][1+ year passed] on: April 02, 2020, 05:56:22 PM

The method you said is only applicable for imported address and not the original address present on the wallet.
I've attached a screenshot below and hope there might be some other way to sign a message from this wallet.

My bad; I tried it on my own wallet before posting, but didn't realize I used an imported address...

The only last option for me would be that I'll share my wallet id with some trusted member over here so that he/she can actually verify what I hold the address.

The only alternative that comes to mind is that if you still have the seed for that wallet you import it on electrum, and from there you signed a message.
If you don't have the seed you can see it again on the security center, as it seems that you are logged in to be able to take that screenshot, and do the above step.
1545  Economy / Services / Re: You can buy Bitcoin within your wallet. on: April 02, 2020, 05:25:56 PM
Debatable, as buying crypto is a service in itself. But thank you, we will create topic in "Wallet software"

Or you could just move the thread using the "Move to-->" button located bottom left if I'm not mistaken.

Also, we are pretty sure, if you are going to have that feature it better be in a secure and quality wallet.  Wink

If I recall correctly, Trezor does also provide this feature to their hardware wallets, but I cannot verify it right now, because the quarantine has left me pretty far away from my device Roll Eyes
Blockchain web wallet does also offer the service, but if you consider that something secure.... well....
1546  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary account banned! [Appeal][1+ year passed] on: April 02, 2020, 05:18:38 PM
Fortunately I found my wallet Id for blockchain.com wallet and I can now access that wallet but yet I can't find a way to sign a message from blockchain.com.

Open the "Wallets & Addresses" menu on settings, and from the address you want to sign the addres, More Options--->Sign

You could also export the private key (same tab, but private key instead of sign) and sign it on electrum (for example).

Hope that helps you

5. Saw plenty of porn sites backdated to 2008-2016, you go to their website, you make payment and you can download the video immediately, seamless procedures

So you are basically suggesting a dropshipping bussines model but with porn videos? I'd never thought of something like that, since free porn is already a thing....

Apart from that, reading your post, I'm not really sure about your intentions here. At first, you look like you are giving people the idea and a list of steps on how to create such a service; but then we get this...

Any suggestion are welcome, it seem to be a question that would never gonna to have a solid answer no matter what era you’re living on.

And that makes me think that you are rather looking for someone to help/guide you on how to create such a site

can you share a tutor because i already open the app and folding for more than 5 hours and my account still not actived

Quoting from their support forum landing page....

The Folding@home team know about the work unit shortage.
It's happening because of an approximately 20x increase in demand.
The Folding@home team are working on it and hope to have a solution very soon.
Keep your machines running, they will eventually fold on their own.

I have the same issue with the GPu, but CPU got work assigned since the moment I launched the app. I guess all we can do is wait

Edit: I went out for lunch and when coming back the GPU had started working. If you see a yellow/orange circle, it means it's ready to be used and it will only need some time to receive the Work Unit.

I've also found this reddit thread explaining how the hardware options (slidebar) work.

The maximum CPU threads you can use (slidebar on full) is the Max it has -1 per each GPU.
The medium setup is the Full -1
The light setup is half the CPU threads

1553  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to send unspent outputs to another address in Electrum? on: March 31, 2020, 04:06:24 PM
Not sure this can be done; but you could try to import the private key of the legacy address into the segwit one, and create a single transaction that will take both imputs?
1554  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SOS.BInance going to adquire coinmarketcap - END of decentralization and crypto on: March 31, 2020, 01:14:45 PM

let's change monopoly for olligopoly.. makes this feel you better?

I already replied on the thread on Spanish, and I believe it's been said here before; but what is the problem of a company buying another company, be it a monoply or whatever on a system that does not require those companies?

Bitcoin is P2P for a reason

Asique a falta de comprensión, por favor, unos pocos detalles más de por qué la compra de una empresa de otra debería ser algo tan sumamente importante de lo que todavía no he visto hablar a nadie no estan de más. Entiendo que si trabajas en uno de ellos, como bien dices, puedas tener cierta preocupación sobre lo que el futuro pueda depararte;

1558  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live Nano missing btc on: March 29, 2020, 04:07:39 PM
I think Csmiami is asking whether you confirmed if you had written down the seed phrase correctly when you first initialized your Ledger

Not at all, I had misread the situation... I thought that he had sent the coins from exchange to wallet, then restored the wallet and then the coins were missing. "addresses don't match" kinda confused me; sorry for creating some confusion and I guess a most likely panic attack on the OP.

I'm not sure as to how Ledger works, but is it possible that when he restored, the address with funds was "archived" or something similar, and that's why when clicking on "Receive" he is seeing a different one?

Similar to electrum using new addresses every time you click "receive"
1559  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live Nano missing btc on: March 29, 2020, 03:29:58 PM
I've checked the receive address and compared to the address I initially sent the bitcoin to from my exchange and they are different.

How did you check the addresses at the moment of sending the funds to the wallet? And how did you input it on the exchange? For what I've read so far on the topic, you may had had some malware on your browser that changed the receiving address to one that's not yours.
1560  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get public and private key ? on: March 29, 2020, 02:35:36 PM
Click Settings > Security > Backup Recovery Phrase
You will get your phrase.

As it is already said in previous posts, first you should extract your seed phrase from blockchain wallet and import it into Electrum. Then you can use Electrum to extract your private keys.

I'm trying to get some kind of recovery phrase/seed whatever on the security center (for the sake of testing, I have mine pretty well stored), and the only thing I can seem to find about it is a green tick on

Save Backup Phrase

I'm guessing that if it doesn't show a seed when creating the account, you get 1 chance of writing it down? Pretty strange stuff

I was using the advanced settings, when on basic you get a "Backup again" blue button
