1561  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get public and private key ? on: March 29, 2020, 02:24:19 PM

I am not sure if he is talking about Blockchain.com or Blockchain.info  Cheesy

They're the same site; try entering blockchain.info, and it will redirect you to .com

Quote
You're wrong, I tried to register there, not a seed key or phrase key

Hmmmm, quite sime time since I haven't created a wallet there; but they used to give the seed.
Apart from that, they also ask the seed for wallet ID recovery, so it's kidna strange they don't give it....
1562  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get public and private key ? on: March 29, 2020, 02:12:56 PM
Thanks for guiding.
BTW I am using Blockchain wallet.

Someone right me if I'm wrong, but Blockchain doesn't let you export the private keys. Nevertheless, since you need to write the seed down (12 word phrase), you should be able to use that seed on another wallet that allows private key exporting (Electrum), and from there, you can get the private key

Again, someone right me if I'm wrong  please
1563  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me? I may be fucked up on: March 29, 2020, 12:02:30 PM

So if by the end of the day, they (google staff or blockchain.info staff)  search for their database, they could find the private keys ? That is really dangerous and people can lose their funds by their little mistakes like this.

And that's why the use of web-wallets, using exchanges as wallets and similar behaviour is highly discouraged, you are not really in control of your private keys. As for searching the private key on google... if you do it and loose your funds, you really had it coming...

To prevent this, always use either hardware wallets or open-source coded desktop wallets (electrum, core) and never copy paste your private keys into a browser, or even with a browser open (I'm sure more restrictions to this could be applied, but I don't know them all).
1564  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me? I may be fucked up on: March 29, 2020, 11:22:36 AM
Seeing this question one more question arises in my mind that if anyone by mistake copies the private key and search it in the blockchain search bar, does it get recorded anywhere ?

Of course; I don't think they will be displayed publicly, but at least google will have them recorded and stored, like everything you search on their browser/search engine
1565  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Realizar envio a 2 cuentas bitcoin en python on: March 28, 2020, 10:14:02 PM

Code:
prune=N

Code:
"C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe" -prune=550

I am 100% sure GP story will not end here, and soon we can expect to see him as GP2 undertaker.

Of course

It's a good suggestion, but I believe the "patrol" feature is in the core of SMF, and not a custom implementation. (Correct me if I'm wrong there) I quite like where the report history is, but I guess if you wanted to check you'd have to  click "report to moderator" to see it which could be annoying. The option could possibly show up once you've reached 300 good reports. I'm not sure how many users actually have access to this page as I doubt that there's a large percentage of the forum with 300 good reports.

Bingo

"In any of the above cases can the "owner" of an address you import take control of your funds" wdym with this quote?

I consider the owner of an address as the person or people in possesion of a private key (only for non multi-sign addresses), so if someone posts a private key, that address now belongs to whoever wants to import and use it, be it empty or not. That's why it's important to keep your private key and seed really private

And lol. I meant in NONE of the above cases, editing it now.....
1569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me? I may be fucked up on: March 28, 2020, 02:47:51 PM
First of all, please, take a deep breath. Nothing is going to happen to your coins.

You clicked "Import address" on the app, and that makes the following:

- If you import a private key, you will have control over that address on blockachin; example: you create a wallet on Electrum, send funds to one of the addresses, and the import the private key to Blockchain to use the funds.

- If you import a public key, or scan a QR of a pubkey, you will only "monitor" that address; you will be able to see when it receives or sends funds, and what address sends and receives, but won't have any control over the address itself.

In any none of the above cases can the "owner" of an address you import take control of your funds
1570  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2 User apply in same campaign, it's bounty cheater? on: March 28, 2020, 01:04:39 PM
Each campaign has its own rules, but they don't usually change much.

Quote
No alt accounts allowed, if it is found out that you are participating in this campaign with alt accounts you will be removed without notice or payment.

I don't recall this as a forum rule, but rather a campaign rule; if you had quoted the place you took it from, it'd be easier to get it in context.

But answering your question, yes, if the campaign rule does not allow multiple accounts and someone tries to participate with multiple accounts, that'd be bounty cheating. You could create a thread on scam accusations/reputation stating the

Facts: in this case bounty cheating
Accounts involved
Some evidence to support your claim
Any other information that may be useful to decide whether red trust should be given or not

What looks legit, an address and a phone number?
All their social media is full of banners and hashtags, there is no picture of the team, no picture of their business, nothing.
Two LinkedIn accounts, with zero prior experience:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/valentina-wolf-499910199/
https://de.linkedin.com/in/alan-glanse-946510192

Hmmmmm, I checked the Faq, withepaper terms and privacy policy, but didn't go to linkedin...

I've now checked their address on maps, and it looks like a residence building.

Quote
Why do they say that they've founded the company in 2017 when Juicy Grow GmbH HRB 214650 B is not even two months old?
Quote
“Company”, “JuicyFields” or “we” means JuicyGrow GmbH., a company duly organized and existing under the laws of the Germany.

Even funnier, Linkedin profile says that the company was founded on 2012. Most of the Linkedin profiles aro working tough, so not sure why you could only see 2 of them.

I also got some strange doubts I asked on the telegram group, but if left unsolved, another red flag...

The whole site is starting to remind me of recyclix, and old site where you bought crap, they recycled it for you and then you got paid....

Thanks for the heads up too, it had been a while since I hadn't joined any project/bounty and I was looking for the good things rather than the red flags... My bad
1572  Other / Meta / Re: game-protect, is he permanently banned? on: March 28, 2020, 11:33:42 AM
As suchmoon mentioned on this thread...

The OP has been permabanned. He was trying hard to earn that ban - posted about 10 of these messages yesterday in random gambling threads. Not sure if that did it but with two prior temp bans it was about time.

And of course, you can always read his/her version of the events here

1573  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Coronavirus Mapa y datos en cada país on: March 28, 2020, 10:59:03 AM
....

1574  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk blocked from Russia on: March 27, 2020, 11:43:18 PM
For what I've understood using the automatic translation software....

- There was an incident 4/5 years ago involving a casino not paying a reditt user 5BTC

- Later on, the casino payed the reditt user

- Now, bitcointalk gets blocked by the Tax Organization of Russia (or a similar name)

What does the forum have to do with anything if the user was from reditt?
1575  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: JuicyFields - Profitable Cannabis CrowdGrowing on: March 27, 2020, 11:27:53 PM
Everything looks good on this project except the part where they need to show who are the people running this project and what company are managing this project they are not showing anyone in their whitepaper they only post their partnership I have doubts on this project and I will not be surprised if this project ends up in the complaint section for lacking vital information.

They do actually have the whole list on their site on the contact section. I've doing some research on the whole proyect during the day, and besides a couple of questions about the bounty system itself, everything looked rather clear and legit; hope I'm right on that.....
1576  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Soy diseñadora web y quiero invertir :) on: March 27, 2020, 07:48:23 PM

1577  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Soy diseñadora web y quiero invertir :) on: March 27, 2020, 06:47:18 PM

FYI : can i ask you the success rate of those countries who had locked down their country and restricted citizen from coming out (not even a 200 meter walk away from their home)

Most countries that have taken those measures have taken them in the last 7/14 days, so the results of such actions will be showing up during the following weeks. Yesterday this post, coming from a newspaper article said that until the end of April some of the regions inside of Spain won't be seeing the highest spike, and thus starting the decrease in cases.

Italy was more or less one month ahead of the spanish situation, so....

Got a similar one last week, but in this case, they were even lazier:

Blockchain, google play and apple store images were not links, it was in russian, the address had nothing to do with blockchain, and it's the first time I see that you are required to confirm your email once you are using 2FA.

Even funnier, that email is not used on any blockchain account, so it went straight to spam Roll Eyes
