1801  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Salek11111 and YOVI coins on: June 27, 2019, 07:06:32 AM
So, is he currently allowing you access to his Yobit account, or is he not co-operating to make that happen?

He is being non-cooperative,in fact I haven't heard from him in quite some time...

(sorry for explaining myself so badly)
1802  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: June 26, 2019, 10:03:06 PM
How much was the ticket's price?
I believe there must be a really really big amount of sold tickets in order to justify a Lamborghini for the winner!

You get a FREE Golden Ticket with your winnings every time you wager or bet a total of 500,000 satoshi (0.00500000 BTC).

or

Scroll down to buy a Golden Ticket for 25,000 satoshi (0.00025000 BTC). You can collect multiple tickets for a higher chance of winning.

Huh, you're getting paid? Seems like you're one of the only ones? (I see Quickseller & JaredKaragen both removed their signatures again..)

Qs did i, but nor for payment involved stuff

It is curious that Quickseller supports the warning flag against YoBit exchange but wears it's signature at the same time.

Thank you for pointing this out to me.

I have re-reviewed the reference thread and relevant threads, and other information, and after consideration, have decided to remove the signature.

They did have some liquidity problems on Clam when it's price fell, and BTC lenders paid the price (a 12% of their balance was deducted). But it seemed like everything had been solved and they were returning the funds to their users. This action you are talking about is rather quite strange
1807  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Charity should not be given because it asked it should be deserved on: June 26, 2019, 04:19:23 PM
There are many charities that have some dishonest management, usually the ones receiving more donations, but luckily, there are still some that really work. Many friends of mine have gone as volunteers to European refugee camps, and there was a huge difference between (say)Red Cross, and a charity few people knew about. The first ones were there for the pictures, the latter were there to work.

Charities need to have good marketing teams, because if there is no money, they can do nothing (even if they do little to start with). Now, there are some very different ways of doing such marketing. I am a volunteer on NGO Sea Shepherd Global, because I like how they handle things. Said marketing is one of the things I liked most; they don't ambush you in the middle of the street for you to sign some petition or donate money; they go with their fleet to wherever they need to go, and document everything. Then, those documented things are what they show the people as a "proof" of their work (many of us have seen the Whale Wars on Discovery).

In conclusion, (not on my personal example anymore) charities do need to ask for funds, because if they did wait for people to donate out of the blue, there would be no donation. Instead, they ask you to donate so that they can do X, Y and/or Z. Transparency of the donations is the key here; to see that what you have donated does indeed something more than paying a 5 star hotel next to a refugee camp

Ya, the campaign is running and paying.  I tested it out on my legendary account and everything worked.  They are actually paying a decent rate compared to other signature campaigns.

And if you have a legendary account, why are you posting from a Brand new one?

You will not be able to send BTC to your balance, You are trying to abuse our campaign with a bug that was discovered.  It is only open to Sr. members, Hero, and Legendary ranks.  You are welcome to keep the signature but keep in mind that you will not be paid.

Talk about the devil...

1813  Economy / Lending / Re: INVESTMENT NEED CAPITAL BECASUE THE BANKSTERS DEALYED MY PAYMENT on: June 26, 2019, 12:33:48 AM
I did see after I created the flag you have responded to everything but the urgency seemed to come from the negative implications it had for you.

Well, yes but no. Once I sent the 0.0027 I left my phone unattended (as I was with other people) and didn't check the forum until I was back home. I had no actual chance of responding before the reds were sent, I was simply sent negative feedback without any previous discussion about it (I'm not saying this is something that must be done, but in this particular case, I could have been done). So of course, when I got back and saw how things were looking, I "rushed" to right everything before it was too late

(this answer applies to the feedback Darkstar has just left I believe)

What I saw was an alarming way to treat a supposed scammer, and potentially benefit from scamming the supposed scammer. Who was to know if this could have been repeated should you have had a few drinks and again a newbie who looks like a scammer (unproven but prejudged) happened across your path.
True, I took this one personally, since he had previously spammed my thread and was creating quite a lot of threads to ask for a loan. But I also believe this is the first time I take it personally on the forum with anyone
1814  Economy / Lending / Re: INVESTMENT NEED CAPITAL BECASUE THE BANKSTERS DEALYED MY PAYMENT on: June 25, 2019, 11:58:58 PM
@Csmiami,
I've removed my review and my support of the flag.  I wish this situation could have transpired differently, but at least it ended without anyone being hurt.  I hope you don't harbor any hard feelings, If I or anyone else had treated a newbie this way, even if he is trying to scam, I would expect the same outcome.  Scamming a scammer doesn't make you any different.

Yeah, no hard feelings. As I have just posted on your thread, it was more the shock of opening the forum and seeing a double red+flag for a few satoshis. Honestly, I think I'd have acted in quite a similar way.

The only thing I might disagree on, is the way the situation was escalated to the trust discussion, before I was consulted/had given any actual response to the situation
1815  Economy / Reputation / Re: DireWolfM14's Trust Setting and Tag Review on: June 25, 2019, 11:51:04 PM
First of all I thank Darkstar_ for mentioning this thread, since I didn't even think it would have reached the Reputation board so fast. DireWolf should have a PM coming from me because of that same reason, I first wanted to talk to him and Darkstar about the feedback and then move it to the reputation board if I was not satisfied (less people involved, means less mess).

I didn't answer the original thread right away since I was having some drinks with some friends when everything was going on. I admit my actions may not have been the best ones, but at no moment did I think this would go this far; as I have stated a couple of times. I did repeat the stupid offer of "0.03 for 0.015" on each message on porpuse (and with smileys), trying to make the OP realize what a stupid situation he was offering. That did not happen, and I was actually sent some funds. At first I took that as something funny, but after giving it some thought, I realized how quickly and badly the situation could scalate, so I PM'd bot suchmoon and DireWolf (both had been active on the thread) to ask for some advice.

The first one to reply was suchmoon with this:

I'd say since the terms were absurd to begin with you should probably return it, minus a reasonable TX fee, after giving the other person a few days to comply Wink

Another option would be to offer to lend 0.0015 BTC to them.

So, I have already PM'd Direwolf regarding the last open thread on Lending (I'm sure you know which one), because even if the whole thing is absurd, I'm holding 0.003BTC that don't actually "belong" to me, and I'm not quite sure as how to proceed.

One part of me tells me to teach all those scammers a lesson, but I'm not quite sure of if I should listen to that dark side of me

Sorry to bother you with this, but it's kind of a tricky situation

Kind Regards

It did not sound bad at the time to hold for some days to the funds to make the "likely scammer" sweat a bit. Direwolf replied quite similarly, and since it was almost 4 am, I went to sleep.

In the morning, I gave the situation some more thought, a fresher view, and posted on my local board about the situation . Then, seeing that the original thread was turning rather dark for me, I decided to get rid of the funds ASAP. That's were I made the mistake of mentally calculating satoshis while having a few beers.

Now, I arrive home, do some stuff, open BTT, and realize I have a double neg, and that the situation at the original thread has scalated faster and worse than expected. The moment I saw the situation.... well, you can all read the original thread. I did totally panic, but luckily it was just a few satoshi "problem"

I don't usually interact with newbies asking for a no collateral loan more than to leave some red trust, but as this particular one had been spamming my personal lending thread, and had created several other threads to ask for money (giving a different version on each), I had kind of some personal hard feeling against him, which I exploited on the first opportunity that showed up

I'd stand by your feedback. I don't really like how the entire situation was handled. I don't know if OP of that thread had any intentions of scamming or is just plain stupid but the experienced members of bitcointalk should not be playing with someone's money even if it means punishing them. CSMaimai's intentions to keep the money for 2 days is just hilarious. At one point Op actually gave up on his 0.003 which I assume wouldn't have been returned if not for you and DarkStar.

It's a silly mistake though. Maybe you should watch them for a few weeks and then change the feedback? I'd be more open to having the feedback removed right now if CSMiami accepts their mistake.

You may be right at me not handling the situation the best way, but I think I've made pretty clear that I wanted to have nothing to do with those funds, since I considered them quite a hot potato. The only thing Darkstar and Direwolf have triggered was an almost heart attack on me when I opent the forum
1816  Economy / Lending / Re: INVESTMENT NEED CAPITAL BECASUE THE BANKSTERS DEALYED MY PAYMENT on: June 25, 2019, 11:35:53 PM

I'm not too sure whether the flag is appropriate or not so I left it. The text says this:

Quote
Due to the factors mentioned in the above topic, I believe that anyone dealing with this user has a high risk of losing money, and guests would be well-advised to avoid doing so. This determination is based on concrete red flags which any knowledgeable & reasonable forum user should agree with, and it is not based on any mere disagreements I may have with the user.

I'm not too sure about the red part, and I agree with the green part. Green part because of this:
Experienced members of bitcointalk should not be playing with someone's money even if it means punishing them. CSMaimai's intentions to keep the money for 2 days is just hilarious.

Hmmmm, even I do agree with that.

I didn't actually see that thread and that's why I PM'd Direwolf (to prevent more people getting involved). Thanks for pointing that out
1817  Economy / Lending / Re: INVESTMENT NEED CAPITAL BECASUE THE BANKSTERS DEALYED MY PAYMENT on: June 25, 2019, 11:17:38 PM

I think the flag was created before you responded. I know for sure that Steamtyme created it before you responded.
I've removed my negative trust and opposed the flag as you did end up making ArmandoComellas whole.

Then I think I can relax a bit... strange though that it hasn't showed up until now. I'd PM'd Direwolf about the neg before seeing the flag, I don't think something odd will come out of this, but I guess I should also talk to Steamtyme to remove the flag

Both of you lose from this which is a fair outcome in my opinion. Both parties handled it poorly and unprofessionally. You paid double fees for sending him the wrong amount, he has to pay extra transaction fees from having to spend two inputs instead of one.
I guess there is some truth to that... I paid the price for trolling a newbie/"likely scammer"

Where did this just go to?

1818  Economy / Lending / Re: INVESTMENT NEED CAPITAL BECASUE THE BANKSTERS DEALYED MY PAYMENT on: June 25, 2019, 10:55:10 PM
Sounds correct to me.

Welp, life has turned out to be a bitch, and "The minimum withdrawal amount is 0.00030000 BTC". Looks like he is going to get some BTCBTC after all from all this idiotic thread Lips sealed (maybe not getting at all, but I am paying double fees)

Code:
Succesfully confirmed your payment request for 0.00030000 BTC to 388hFGeoMBFtUr4njtpEiNgUBVsTexUGge.

The payment will be sent out in the next 6 hours.

You may close this page now.

Alright, this is now getting out of hand. I think I have explained the situation the best way I could and that everything has been sorted out, but creating a flag now seems a bit overkill to me ATM...
1819  Economy / Lending / Re: INVESTMENT NEED CAPITAL BECASUE THE BANKSTERS DEALYED MY PAYMENT on: June 25, 2019, 10:51:57 PM
Right was I was going to propose, to see if you and direwolf would agree that's something reasonable. I believe it is, and I have admitted my mistake (and I think I won't joke around anymore to prevent getting another hot potato like this one)

Resolve the situation and I will remove my negative trust feedback. Send him 0.003BTC - 0.0027BTC - one transaction fee

Glad to see we still think the same way for some stuff....

I'm going to just publish it to prevent a second error... If in the first withdrawal I sent 0.0027, on this one I'll be sending 0.0003-0.00003366 on fees; 0.00026634BTC, right?

Yes, I'm agre with DarkStar, he has a good sense of justice.

I suggest you lock this thread as soon as the transaction is sent.
1820  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Salek11111 and YOVI coins on: June 25, 2019, 10:46:56 PM
I'm kind of confused as to why

a) The accused in this case is "nervous", even though you agreed to a sale of the YOVI tokens with 2 instalments, which will not be influenced by any market prices.
b) You didn't have the tokens in your power, even though you stated that you had access to his account.

Am I missing something here? Was he supposed to transfer the YOVI tokens directly into your account, which he didn't do; or were you supposed to sell the tokens for him on his own Yobit account? Please clarify.

Responding to A, I used the word "nervous" because I couldn't find another one close to "ser un plasta" in english. But he believed the tokens could be sold overnight, so that is the main reason he sent so many PMs

And with B, that's kind of confusing... At first, we decided he was going to create a Yobit code so that I had the coins in my account, and from there I could do whatever I wanted with them. Once we realized that could not be done, the decition we took was to sell the coins from his account.

Yes, I know it was a complete stupid move, but at that time, it seemed a good idea to me. But when I started to see how long it took the market to move, and that every time I tried to login I needed him to send the code, I tried to call the deal off by teaching him how to place the orders, while he refunded me the upfront payment.

Just a side note, dabbling with rise only markets in yobit is an incredibly risky venture that I would personally not ever subject myself to. There is no real blockchain and if yobit decides to not respond to your support messages (which is the case here), you have no recourse.

Yep, poor research on my side was one of the main causes of that
