From the point of view of an extremely mentally ill and or brain dead bitcointalk account everything like scam, lie or believe is the same! Cheesy

But in the real world scam or lie or believe is not the same and real world rules apply to this offer. Smiley

It's no longer about real life/not real life stuff; we have given you real proof that you are a scammer, within your own definitions!

The software is substantially complete. The main period of development was a while ago; the current work is mainly just maintenance & relatively minor improvements. Try running it yourself and you'll find that it's working, fast, and nearly feature-complete.

The things blocking a transition from the current software to the new software are:
 - There hasn't been enough testing. I think that immediately after transition, a variety of small missed features, bugs, and performance issues would crop up. As a result, if the transition happened now (which is technically possible!), I'd expect the post-transition user experience to be poor for months while these things are fixed, which I don't want.
 - I am the only bitcointalk.org sysadmin and on-demand programmer, and I'm used to the current software. Furthermore, I need to frequently make changes to the current software, but each change I make might require alterations to Epochtalk, which is problematic.
 - The current PHP software, while ugly and sub-optimal in many ways, performs well, especially since I have extensively modified the backend to add features and improve performance. So I don't feel much urgency.
 - The data-transition procedure still has a few known minor bugs.

We continue to work on these issues. I think that ultimately I may need to hire one or more full-time people, since a big problem is that the full transition is likely to create a ton of work which I won't be able to effectively handle alone.

The software is not vaporware (it's long existed in a runnable state, and is currently basically feature-complete), and is not abandoned (look at the git commit log). If anyone is unhappy with the progress, I invite them to take the Epochtalk code and create a competing forum with it; since they won't have to worry about the transition issues, they'd have a much easier time, and their testing will also end up helping us.

In short: If you want the software quicker, go run your own forum with it, and work to get any problems or missing features you find resolved via bug reports, etc. This would increase public interest, provide much-needed testing, and I might even hire you to work on bitcointalk.org when we're ready to do the final transition here.

Grin

I'm glad that people are interested!

Wouldn’t it be better if Bitcointalk provided a common test environment that was open for anybody to use, without people having to download the software and setting up their own environments?

beta.bitcointalk.org was run for a couple of years, but virtually nobody used it. It was too boring. I'd ideally like people to actually try using Epochtalk for various things that they find fun/interesting. Maybe try a more restrictive moderation style, maybe make it more niche-focused, maybe try adding some crazy features, etc. If people actually try to use it for real things, then the real deficiencies will be found.

Is the requirements doc up to date? Seems quite vague in some parts, e.g. trust.

No, that's very old.

Get 5 BTC for proof who Game Protect scammed and for how much? First come first serve!

You original post (offer of reward) only requires proof of scam and value. It doesn't state that an individual has to be identified.
The offer is obviously nothing for extremely mentally ill and or brain dead bitcointalk accounts! Cheesy

The "who" would be all people reading your biased trust feedback, because you left it there knowing it was false.

You also mention no restriction as to who can claim the bounty and who can't; so you have to pay every user you have scammed with the negative fake trust. Refusing to do so will be considered further scamming

1686  Economy / Services / Re: Get 5 BTC for proof who Game Protect scammed and for how much? on: July 24, 2019, 11:02:21 AM
Hello brain dead,

You will get 5 BTC after you have shown proof of who (name of the person or entity) I scammed and for how much as announced in the thread.

So far you did not deliver and I know that I never scammed anyone, so this will never happen! Smiley

Definition scam: A fraudulent scheme performed by a dishonest individual, group, or company in an attempt to obtain money or something else of value.

As per your own definiton; you have scammed everyone (I'm sure the list can be written down) you have sent negative feedback based on lies rather than facts.

So, You are a dishonest individual who performed a fraudulent scheme (lying on trust feedback) in an attempt to obtain forum credibility/reputation.

Now, where are my 5BTC? You can send them to my signature address Wink

I was trying to follow what was going on with this account that was 'stucked' - even though you had a merit because your activity was below a threshold it didn't matter?

Exactly what used to happen with the old system. Merit and activity systems are independet; but work together. There is at least on user that has got more merit than activity; and thus cannot achieve legendary as of yet.

I'm pretty sure the serious lenders will do the math; and the end result will be a big, hard NO

1692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitcoinTalk Account is 3 years old and 88 posts. Still “newbie” and 0 Merit. on: July 19, 2019, 07:52:04 AM
So;

In the Cryptocurrency industry, 3 years of experience means you probably have more experience than 90% of the current users of crypto overall.

BUT

And one more genuine noob question.

How do I post imgur uploaded images into the body of my posts? It never shows the actual image. Just a link.

Are you a newbie, or a 3 year-experienced user? It's quite uncertain

Back to OP a bit; merits are earnt if someone consideres any of your posts as "good" and decides to merit it

Huh
I have absolutely no idea what this user is on about. His thread is full off gibberish. Something about reddit mods being better than here, facebook and Tether scam etc.

you wrong mate the mods need to be active they part of us even they called mods the same with experts,

go to reddit crypto look most of the conversions are very m=nice and they debunk over there bunch people with the mods together,

just say libra and you flooded and it save bunch others, one mod over there is top when he said either you paid fucking shill to scam others and destroy this great change or you invested in this coin, after deep explanation the user said thanks you saved* my life.

Read it before today; his main poinr is that bitcointalk lacks quality because scams are not moderated (unlike other sites), and that sort of stuff
1695  Economy / Services / Re: Full Member looking for signature campaign- gambling sections on: July 18, 2019, 06:20:51 PM
I see some members are criticizing his way of having a paid signature. A lot of members are trying to get a paid campaign for signature, avatars, personal text and other spot. Why are we only criticizing him? Why not other?

I see no one criticizing him for wanting to monetize the signature Huh

You could check the list of active campaigns if you are really interested in monetizing

How did you scam ? Deliberately uttering false statements is scamming.
How much ? The cost is the potential damage to the reputation of the person you slandered.

So now it's time for all the 38 users can get together on this one; and ask for the 190BTC (38*5) or otherwise; we can always sue him together for

  • You abused all children who had contact with you!

1697  Other / Off-topic / Re: Alien: What if we are the invaders? on: July 18, 2019, 04:49:37 PM
I've recently heard a couple of theories supporting that. The first one is more literature than facts:

-Humans came to earth in a "pod" (similar to the one in subnautica LOL) and that was the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs. Apart from that, the people getting off that pod, we the first earth-walkers (thus Adam and Eve).

On the other hand, the second one seems a bit more science-based:

-We are the only species that can not actually get exposed to sun radiation for long periods; whereas the rest of the species in the planet, can. (there was some more stuff, but that was the main point)
1698  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: July 18, 2019, 03:43:26 PM
I seem to be having some trouble connecting Eclair to the network (to open a channel and run a node). I've followed the github installation guide, step by step; but for reasons unknown, every channel I try to create gets timed out/disconnected. Apart from that, I seem to not be finding any other channels (All channels tab is with a big 0).

I already had the core client fully updated; and that one seems to be working fine for the moment. The only "issue" I have noticed between some youtube tutorials I've seen; is that when creating the bitcoin.conf file on core and restarting; I didn't get any "You need to rebuild the database....) message

Hope you can give me a hand
