1582  Other / Meta / Watchlist and ignored boards on: March 27, 2020, 02:47:41 PM
After having the Altcoin boards on ignore for obvious spammy reasons, a project has caught my eye today, and I've decided to join. I figured that since I had replied to the thread, I could get to see updates both on "Show new replies to your posts" and "Watchlist". Much to my surprise, I've been receiving no update on said thread until I've un-ignored the altcoin board Cry

I would understand that having a post on an ignored board wouldn't show up on "new replies", but the watchlist? You can select which threads to follow, so does it really make sense? And for the more tech savy ones... is there some kind of way to "whitelist" the thread you are interested in on an ignored board?

PS: posting on Meta and not B&H since this could be a suggestion to edit the threads showing on the Watchlist
1583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which wallet is used for this site payment system on: March 27, 2020, 02:02:34 PM
I am a new member. I want know by which wallet I can collect my payment which is given by this forum . My seniors please help me to know about this .
No idea what is your question is you are not even joining a bounty so how come that you will need an address to use.
My only suggestions is explore first this forum you will learn many things here even the one you are looking here.

I want know in which wallet I can collect my payment .

how will you get paid if you are not doing anything?

My question is how will I get payment and from where I will be able to collect my earning .

Correcting the previous quote for understandability reasons...

Quote
My question is how will I get payment and from where I will be able to collect my earning .

You are talking about a payment, but nobody know what payment you are talking about.

If you participate on an Altcoin bounty, you will need either a Ethereum address, or an especific wallet the token itself will provide.

If you are refering to doing some Bitcoin bounty, or work for Bitcoin on "Services" board, or sell stuff for BITCOIN, any wallet will do the deed. It can either be a web wallet, an app wallet, a hardware wallet or a software wallet. Whatever suits you best

Edit: This other thread has just been bumped with your same question, so read the replies and maybe someone is actually talking about what you might be wanting to ask us?

It's because they use JavaScript. Even if you visit the clearnet link and disable JavaScript from your browser settings, you will get a blank page (Your Tor settings are probably set to disable JS).

So that means they are going against their own reccomendations on their "Step-by-step guide on how to mix your coins" article?

I used to have a telegram bot for this, you only needed the public addresses so no real risk....

We strive to avoid political discussion but in this case we will comment that privacy and freedom are basic human rights.

That is a nice thing to do, but openly stating that you are helping people break the law is.... risky to say the least....

The Letter of Guarantee is signed via PGP and we delete it from our server after a successful mix. We don't need to have it on our server as we only need to verify the PGP signature to be sure that it's real.
In case a problem arises:
1. You post the LoG publicly and all users can see that it was signed by us
2. You can track the bitcoin addresses in there and see if the coins arrived
The LoG obliges us to send coins to selected outputs when you input coins. If we do not comply You can show it to the community and end our reputation.

I've just re-read the sentence and I think I've now really understood the meaning... You meant that the LoG can only be downloaded during the active mixing, rather than it losing all of its value afterwards... My bad, sorry about that

Updating the first post now that I've received the first payment.....

I don't see your team information and your official channels on the site? Don't you plan to show your team members to the public? Or from the beginning, you plan it anonymously. Anyway, I think it will be useful if you have own community to share your updates and get feedback from the community itself. You can consider an official telegram group, discords, or other else. IMO

A bitcointalk official thread could sort this out while still being anonymous enough I think, not sure why LoyceV said using Twitter for announcements was a bad idea, Facebook is quite obvious....

1589  Economy / Services / Re: 💰 Review MyCryptoMixer.com and receive 0.002 BTC 💰 on: March 26, 2020, 01:11:19 AM
I have already received the funds, so I'm going to start with the basics of the site, and once the mixing process gets finished, I'll add that to this post.

First impresion
The site has a fresh, intuitive and user friendly interface, pretty easy to navigate and with some FAQs.

The mixer
When you click on "Mix BTC", you get another intuitive page. You can add up to 5 different addresses, you can use the slidebars to change the % of the coins going to each wallet and the time delay. You can also set the service fee, which the site suggest to leave on irregular amounts to help decrease traceability, and the "Cryptocode".

Once everything is set up, you get to the next step, a dashboard-kind page where you can download the letter of guarantee, see the address you have to send the coins to, the order ID, the MixerCode, and a space where your incoming transaction will be displayed along with the outgoing ones.

Things I noticed so far

- There is no kind of "warning" message about the "feePerAddress" on the mixing page itself. A user that jumps straight into mixing without reading the FAQ might get surprised if s/he receives less coins than the ones s/he is expecting to receive back. It's not really a big deal, but small details make the difference

- When you are setting up the mixing you can choose to enter a Cryptocode, which later on is called MixerCode. Changing the name of the things from one step to the next is not something I'd do

- As some other users have pointed out, logs are said to be deleted 24 hours after the mixing. Nevertheless, you can enter the MixerCode that you get on the first mixing you do to prevent your previous coins from coming back to you. That means that some kind of log is kept. It may not keep the personal information, but saying all logs are deleted and then keeping some is rather deceiving. Following with this, if every time you use a MixerCode on a new transaction, you get a new code (this would be the 2nd code, on the 3rd mixing), said code will contain the information on the last mixing, but also the information of the first one; in the end, you are creating a chain that makes traceability much easier. So this thing you say on the FAQ, is definately not true

Quote
When mixing coins for the first time, you will receive a "MyCryptoCode" - a randomly generated unique string which will allow you to get coins only from pools that have no connection to your other transactions. Make sure to enter it before every mix to ensure the highest level of anonymity.

- I was curious enough to check the address you sent the testing coins from, I've been able to get the addresses of so far 5 tester. It's not really realted to the review itself, but may leave the door open to some privacy concerns about a mixing not mixing their coins.... (or maybe it's just me being paranoid)

- The slidebars for time delay and percentage are okay, but some users may want to input the values in a more accurate way (with a keyboard/keypad, for example)

What did I do while the coins got mixed?
Well, I've received some test coins, I've sent them and now I have to wait to get them back... during that time, I've decided to check the whole rest of the site, even if it is not related to the mixing process itself. I first went to check the help center, should I have a situation that requires help.

The help center is something rather basic. You can read the same 10 questions that the landing page has, some links to articles of the blog of the site and of course, a link to the contact form.

Next thing I checked, the blog. The site is rather new, so I wasn't expecting much content, and that's exactly what I found. 4 very generic articles about why people should mix bitcoins/privacy. Some typos and grammar mistakes, which again are no big deal, but small details count. There's a tutorial on how to use the service in one of the articles, a place where rather few people would search for it, and a strange asterisc with no further explanation about it Huh

Quote
We utilize state-of-the-art Advanced Mixing Algorithms for your funds*

Apart from that, apart from being generic, the 4 articles talk about pretty much the same. It did strike me that there is no single reference to manual mixing of the coins; considering it's a blog article talking about what bitcoin mixing is.

There are a couple other disturbing points on the blog, but this one in which you actively state that you are helping people evade the law is the most disturbing one...

Crypto Trading in Countries With Legality Issues

Vladislav is an active Russian crypto trader. Although his country is looking to implement blockchain technology into applications across various industries, cryptocurrencies are completely banned in Russia. However, he remained strongly affirm to the prospect of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and thereby utilised privacy tools (such as VPNs) to continue trading cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, MyCryptoMixer has helped him greatly in allowing him to trade while keeping his activity anonymous from the government.

When Vladislav cashes out his Bitcoin profits to a decentralised P2P trading platform, he ensures that his activity will not be easily tracked through multiple buyers around the world. MyCryptoMixer allows him to send to multiple wallets from his wallet, while preventing anyone from tracing the bitcoins back to his wallet.

Saying that someone uses and benefits from your service on a monthly basis, when the feature you are refering to is currently not available can be catalogued as lying, which is not the gratest idea on a new site....

Quote
Employee’s Salary Disbursement

Noraini is currently working as a HR manager in a blockchain consultancy firm where the salaries are disbursed in Ethereum (ETH). On the 25th of every month, she is responsible for assessing the company’s cryptocurrency wallet to distribute the salaries to her respective co-workers’ wallets. Familiar with the crypto space, she remained vigilant and to protect her company interest by not disclosing the company’s crypto balance. She uses MyCryptoMixer on a monthly basis to release her co-worker’s salaries while preventing anyone from viewing the company’s wallet balance through Etherscan, since the mixer obfuscates the source wallet address.

Apart from that, I checked the PGP public key, but there's not much that can be done only watching it

Some more notes

Reading the following on the Letter of Guarantee some questions arose

Quote
when you are facing problems with your mixing order. The Letter of Guarantee is only available during the active mixing operation

I understand you can make some mistakes that should be corrected before the mixing ends; I can think of people putting a wrong output address.... and not many more things (which I'm sure there are).

But the real question here is: if the letter of guarantee is only valid during mixing, and after mixing "all" logs are destroyed, what would happen in the event of someone not receiving the coins because of a mistake on the sites end? Or any similar incident that could not be foreseen until after the mixing takes place.

Opinion so far
There is room for improvement; it looks like a promising mixing service, but pretty much like any new mixing service you may find. Tomorrow, when I receive the coins I've sent, I'll end this post.

It will also be good to read the review of the more tech savy users.

Edit 1, first payment received: I sent the coins at 03:37AM and received them back at 09:22. I had set a delay of 337 minutes, so the coins arrived a bit after what I expected, not a big deal.

The mixng dashboard updated once it received the amount to be mixed, and as I had set 2 outputs, it did the math and it clearly shows how much coins wach address is receiving. It took me some time to figure out how this was calculated, because I was expecting lower amounts due to the 0.25mBTC fee, but I think I got it right
Code:
(Amount you send * Service fee - Address Fee) * %you chose on each address

I did some trials and amounts did vary depending on whether the flat fee was applied after or before the service fee.

Will update once I get the second one

Second transaction received right on time

I have some experience with mixer, so if funds are provided by the mixer, I'd have no trouble doing some testing. Altough, you'll have to keep in mind that I'm not an IT guy, so my review wouldn't be focused on the technical aspects of the mixer

You say you've been using 5G for three years? As far as I can see commercial usage is mostly headed to 2019/2020, it seems you live in some very advanced country _ https://www.worldtimezone.com/5g.html

Well, home router has had 2 networks for quite some years; one is the "normal" network, and another one named like the normal one but with _5G at the end. I didn't mean my data services on the phone are 5G, altough I now think I may have mixed a couple of different cocepts that are named almost the same?

1595  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Does Covid-19 comes from Bat or Because of Installation of 5G towers? on: March 25, 2020, 02:12:01 PM
I still don't get it?
I am pretty sure that Microwaves are different to 5G Towers with 60Ghz Frequency.
but thanks for the information.

Why would they be any different? My computer has been connected to a 5G network for more than 3 years and the sickest I have gotten was some kind of alergy during those years. The important thing here is the energy they carry, and if it's powerful enough to be harmful or not. I don't think frequency affects it anyway, since it's just a "time" measuring unit

https://www.elconfidencial.com/tecnologia/2020-03-23/policia-virus-informatico-hospitales-coronavirus_2512743/

1597  Other / Meta / Some basic posting codes on: March 24, 2020, 01:39:52 AM
I recall some kind of initiative either here or in Meta about how to make the most out of the BBCode that is used in the forum. Unfortunately, I've done a quick browse of the first 10 pages on both sections, and unless I accidentaly skipped it, it's buried far too deep for a "normal" or new user to find. That's why I've decided to bring some basic codes that everyone can use, and if any reply to this thread is informative enough, I'll be adding those too.

Lets get started!

Pretty much like in a Word document, you can get some words to be in bold, italics, underlined or striked. These work as follows

Code:
[b]This one for bold[/b]

Sample text

Code:
[i]This one for italics[/i]

Sample text

Code:
[u]This one for underlining[/u]

Sample text

Code:
[s]This one for striking/crossing[/s]

Sample text

You basically get b (bold)/i (italics)/ u (underlined)/ s (striked) between fancy brackets [ ] write whatever you want in the middle, and close the fancy brackets with a slash and the letter of the effect you were giving [/ ]

You can also stack them; and have a bold text in italics, or an underlined text striked. You just have to keep in mind the order of the effects. If you want something to be bold and in italics, you can use either one of this 2 codes:

Code:
[b][i]Code 1[/i][/b]
Code:
[i][b]Code 2[/b][/i]

BUT, if you open with a BOLD, you have to close with a BOLD. Because otherwise, this happens:

Some parts of the code remain visible---->  [/i]

To prevent that, please, keep the order (or if you are a bit more experienced, you can delete some closing brackets)

What else can we do?

Well, we may at some point want or need to put some links to our posts, and for that, we can use
Code:
[url][/url]

This one is rather easy to use (at a basic level).

You just have to write the code this way:

Code:
[url=WebsiteIwantToGoTo.com]Text I want to get hyperlinked[/url]

Home Page

If you leave the initial
Code:
[url=....]
blank, the forum will take whatever you write in the middle as the link, so don't forget to fill this out.

What benefits does this have? Unless completely neccessary, seeing a whole link is kinda ugly, so for the sake of aesthetics, please, use hyperlinks.

More stuff... How do we embed images?

This one is easy if you use imgur, because you can directly copy the BBCODE in the "get share links" button. Nevertheless, always keep in mind that the forum proxy does only accept PNG files (if I'm not mistaken).

To embed a picture,
Code:
[img]LinkToTheImage.PNG[/img]

If you have some HUGE image, you can also limit it's size using the following code

Code:
[img width=SomeSmallNumber]YourImageLink.PNG[/img]

Lists are another useful tool for begginers (and not so begginers).

The default code Bitcointalk provides when you click the "list" icon provides you with 2 list items.

Code:
[list]
[li]Item 1[/li]
[li]Item 2[/li]
[/list]
  • Item 1
  • Item 2

If you want to add more lines to the list, you only have to copy paste/write

Code:
[li]Text in the middle [/li]

As many times as you need between the opening and the closing of the list
Code:
[list]--->Opening

[/list]---->Closing

And many many more things can be done with little to no technical knowledge, but it's already starting to get late, and I should be getting some sleep. I will continue this list in the morning, adding:
  • Resize
  • Change color
  • Code
  • Quotes
  • Things I have not yet tought of but that surely enough someone will point out
1598  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Does Covid-19 comes from Bat or Because of Installation of 5G towers? on: March 24, 2020, 12:46:27 AM
I have watched a video from an anonymous page, and I wasn't able to remember the exact name of the page.
The Video explains that Because of  the recent installation of 5G Towers in Wuhan China was the reason why The Virus was Discovered
The Video Explains also, that 5g Towers with 60 ghz causes Respiratory Failure in other words NCOV or Covid-19.

Now, I would like to know if somebody here could Explain what Really Happens if, the News was Fake that the virus came from bat or was it because of the 5G networks.

and if ever could somebody explain what can 5G networks cause to our health, it would be a great Help.

Illuminate me.

It was a completely fake news video.

As far as I know, viruses are a DNA carrying "robot" (they are technically not alive) that inject their DNA on healthy cells to replicate the code and some serious biology stuff...
5G towers transmit and/or receive waves. Those waves are "made" out of energy, and well, there is virtually no connection between raw energy and a DNA carrying thingy.

What is true is that 5G networks are said to cause interference with weather forecasting satellites, and I think I've also heard that it may alter bird migration patterns. It's also true that many people have complained over the years of cell towers, arguing that they get headaches and even cancer in some cases, but so far, there is real evidence linking this the towers to body malfunctioning, because the wave energy is that small that it can't hurt us (similar to a microwave oven).

Now, I haven't been following hte news on this couple weeks because it's bloody boring, but I recall that the virus came from an animal, which has not been identified yet; even if they believe it's mostly coming from bats or pangoli (then some people say this virus escaped a bioresearch facility and other conspiratory stuff, which may or may not be true).

And not much more left to say; maybe that if the illness was caused by a certain type of radiation (energy waves are a kind of radiation after all), it wouldn't spread to other countries, continents or other people; and if that were the case, almost everybody in the vicinity of the towers would have been affected.
