Maybe for improving the Discord channel How many people are actively using the Discord channel? Are we talking about thousands and thousand of users of just a few? Is there an actual reason to have a Discord channel besides the forum? Or was it just an experiment that was worth trying but in the end didn't work out? |

Ma anche se non si fa cash out aggiungo. A meno di non fare solo spese modeste, se anche domani acquisti direttamente in crypto una casa o una macchina, sempre in un Paese “amico” devi risiedere, se non vuoi correre rischi che qualcuno un giorno venga a bussare alla tua porta pretendendo risposte. Concordo. È un discorso che era già stato affrontato in passato sul forum, non ha senso fare cash out di cifre importanti cercando scappatoie chiaramente illegali quando basta semplicemente fare un anno e mezzo o poco più all'estero per fare tutto in forma perfettamente legale. E per "anno all'estero" vuol dire praticamente la metà dell'anno dato che non preclude certo la possibilità di viaggiare. Un anno e mezzo per essere a posto e tranquilli per il resto della vita contro fare un qualcosa di illegale per non lasciare l'Italia. A me la scelta pare chiarissima. Non mi è chiaro questo ragionamento, suona molto discorso da bar. Ammesso che sia fattibile a livello pratico, potresti dettagliare questo fantomatico scenario di "starsene 1 anno e mezzo all'estero"? Non ho capito quale sarebbe il discorso da bar e perché questo scenario sarebbe "fantomatico". Semplicemente se puoi permetterti di lasciare l'Italia per ben oltre un anno puoi fare un cash out in regola in un paese crypto friendly o con tassazione sulle plusvalenze bassa o addirittura inesistente. Voglio dire, a parte i costi e supponiamo siano gestibili... ci sono varie questioni d'affrontare quando ci si sposta: c'è la questione visti (oppure in UE abbiamo paesi particolarmente crypto-friendly?), per fare cashout credo serva aprire un conto nel paese dove si va e questo dipende dal modo in cui si entra nel paese. Insomma, magari sto esagerando ma concretamente credo sia un'opzione per chi ha già abbastanza cash da potersi permettere tutta la trafila e dipende decisamente da dove si va e per quanto tempo. Diversamente, sono molto curioso, ho viaggiato varie volte e di certo si tratterebbe di una soluzione stimolante  Beh mi pare sottinteso che l'opzione estero abbia senso solamente per chi ha certe cifre a disposizione: se la tua plusvalenza è di 10k euro ovviamente non ha senso vendere tutto, tagliare i legami con l'Italia, fare almeno un anno e mezzo all'estero (io non ho mai scritto un solo anno, attenzione, è ben diverso) e poi rientrare per non pagare 2.600 euro, mi pare chiaro. Se hai accumulato, che so, 1 mln, discorso ben diverso e che abbiamo affrontato più volte qui dentro: ognuno ha uno stile di vita diverso ma il 26% di 1 mln sono 260.000 euro, ipotizzando 2 anni all'estero, ovvero 730 giorni, se vai a fare cash out in un paese senza tassazione vuol dire avere a disposizione 356 euro al giorno per vivere, quasi 11k euro al mese. Tutti quei soldi che risparmi in tasse li puoi usare per 1) vivere senza lavorare 2) continuare ad investire quello che non spendi per avere ulteriori entrate. Spero che ora il discorso sia più chiaro. Aprire un conto bancario all'estero non è difficile, quando mi sono trasferito negli USA ho potuto farlo ancora prima di avere un visto ed un SSN in meno di 10 minuti. |

I've seen several threads where people preach teaching bitcoin to kids and I've also seen threads where others talked about having some savings(investments) in bitcoin for their kids which is right.
Just as my topic reads, we should stop stressing kids with wanting them do things we didn't meet up doing and at some points getting them mentally stressed.
Please don't get me wrong because I'm typically not against teaching or maybe introducing bitcoin to your kids but I'm on the opinion that rather than bother them with this complicated digital asset (bitcoin) knowing fully well that no matter how much knowledge we have about it, if we don't have the money to buy, then we'll certainly miss out, and judging from this, I don't think it's wise teaching them or wanting to force it on them when we know that they can't afford it.
I will suggest that, rather than bore them with the history of bitcoin, why not get a portfolio for them and keep investing in it and watch it grow with them and when they're of age, then you can practically show them the needful.
I want to know if there are people who also share same opinion with me and please lets just discuss rather than argue
As I said in another thread I don't see nothing wrong with teaching kids about bitcoin, the important thing is not to exaggerate or turning it into something that is actually stressful for them. It must be something between a game and a lesson. Teaching about bitcoin is also quite specific, maybe it would be better starting with something more general, like how money works, why is not always possible to buy what your kid likes (or wants), why is important to save money and investing instead of throwing it away, etc etc. |

I don't know how I make decisions as a boy.
My father is a military man. He has served in this military sector for 25 years. His term of service is almost at an end. After two months he was going to retire from the job. He will get retirement pension after his service life in the military sector and he has many plans based on this retirement pension.
His first dream is to build a house with this retirement money. But right now in my country all the materials needed to build a house are very expensive so building a house right now can't be a good decision. And I don't feel safe keeping his pension money in the bank because earlier there was inflation in my country where some banks went bankrupt.
So right now I am not able to give him any proper advice as a boy. But one thing I've been wondering for a few days is if I invest half of my father's retirement allowance in Bitcoin, am I doing something wrong?
I feel like if I invest half the amount in Bitcoin for a year after receiving his retirement allowance, I might be able to hand over more money to my dad at the end of the year.
Hope I get proper advice from you.
As much as I believe in bitcoin I don't think I would ever suggest my parents to invest half of their retirement funds in bitcoin, maybe like 1/10 yes, and that is already a very high stake. You better diversify also buying in the stock market but of course you must explain extremely well all the risks to your parents and make sure they put money in some kind of emergency fund just in case. |

My question is where can I buy Bitcoin comic books that can catch the attention of children between the age of 7 to 11? I want something in comic or story book style and with full story about Bitcoin or related... I want to buy and wrap them up for the surprises. For sure this is a good idea, just make sure they actually enjoy watching/reading that kind of comics or videos and don't push them too hard. And especially if they're not interested (for the moment) just accept their decision, it simply means they're not ready yet. I remember was I was a kid sometimes my parents pushed me a lot to learn some things that at the time I didn't care too much about, sometimes they pushed me so hard I ended up hating them, don't do that mistake. I understand parents try to do good but there is the right time for everything. |

First of all Binance is one thing, Binance US another, and that is a huge difference. If Binance US shuts down pretty much no one is going to care except eventually some Americans but I don't see why the market should collapse because of that. The SEC has no power to shut down or prohibit operations from the original Binance. If the original Binance fails/scams or whatever it's a difference story, for sure it'll have an important impact in the market but bitcoin will survive for sure, no doubts about that. |

Because the Bitcoin Pizza contest is representative from spirit bitcointalk discord server, I think we don't have to ignore to keep voting on Discord next, but of course, must be with any conditional and reservation. For example, the voter must be a real bitcointalk member by sign Bitcoin address on the discord server. Because this is important, Cyrus must add a new channel for the sign address, and after sign address, the Admin server can add a new role for signer and change the color name member (example: green) and create spesific name (example: real bitcointalk member). Then, in the next 2024 contest, add a new rule you can't vote if not a role member. I really don't understand why overcomplicating things using Discord when we already have the forum. Many people didn't even submit their pizzas on Discord because they don't have it/don't use it. I never use it. |

I absolutely agree with this proposal (especially the fact that it must be a PIZZA) but I have a doubt about the use of merits. Let's assume that a user with the requirements to vote at that moment is without Smerit? Why shouldn't he have the opportunity to cast his vote? And I add that the merit system was introduced to reduce spam and increase the quality of posts and this is not the best way to use it.
Instead, it would be enough to introduce a system that somehow replicates that of the merits but called for example "point" and each user with a full degree has only 1 expendable point available. Easy, democratic and fair.
If you're an active and good member of this community it's extremely unlikely that you won't have a single merit to spare during the 10 days available to vote. Using merits also makes it easier to check the votes, they're simply all there at the top of each post. If everyone votes making posts if becomes more time consuming. I really don't see the big deal in this case, it's 1 merit we're talking about in the end. |

I would add baking your own pizza is a requirement. Oh, yes, I forgot about that! My bad, I often overestimate people's intelligence, we need to make the rules so clear that even a 2 year old baby can understand them because it looks like the "bake-off" in the title for some people doesn't mean you actually need to bake your own pizza. If you guys have other ideas please let us know, let's try to improve the contest  |

Imho, preferential voting could work good. My ideas: - Keep the voting on the forum, cheating on Discord is too easy - Only Full Members and up can vote - Vote using merits, and no matter how many merits you give, they all count as 1 - Being clear about what a pizza is, I know it sounds ridiculous but it's not possibile to see people submitting salads, rice, cakes, etc. In that way only users who have been active for some time can vote because of 1) Rank 2) Activity 3) Merits. No one can send the link to family, friends, etc because creating a new account would be pointless and no one would spend months of their lives farming accounts for a pizza contest. |

Normalmente dopo che passi da Hero a Legendary diventi molto più attrattivo per le donne, oramai i soldi contano poco, la bellezza si misura con i merit e con lo status sul forum. Scherzi a parte non cambia niente, forse solamente per alcune campagne firme i Legendary prendono qualcosa in più degli Hero. |

Comunque i modi sono i classici modi al far west americano. Evidentemente fa comodo tenere sempre le cose tutte a caso negli Stati Uniti.
Per una marea di cose ci sono diciamo “volutamente” aree grigie dappertutto e buchi legislativi quasi fatti apposta.
Mi viene in mente la stessa cosa col poker online, nel piccolo binance vs ftx e stato come pokerstars vs full tilt. Per chi non la conosce e ha voglia gliela racconto. Comunque Hanno fatto un caos legislativo da quell’evento non ancora regolato. E non si capisce neanche bene a che pro.
Idem settore scommesse o casino online, idem anche il Trading che è un marasma di regole assurde e burocrazia senza senso.
Finisce che ogni cittadino americano gira che rigira va su siti offshore a gamblare, tradare, scommettere ma anche per tante altre cose fa business online tutto offshore.
E poi riciclano infinito con appunto i casinò o le cripto appunto, coinbase non è altro che un enorme riciclatore per tutte queste cose.
Evidentemente vogliono che sia così, io non so perché e cosa torna in tasca ai testoni che governano un paese nel caos continuo legislativo. Mi viene in mente anche la questione mangiatoia, l’America più che l’Italia, e un enorme parcheggio o mangiatoia per milioni di figure inutili di contabili, avvocati, azzeccagarbugli di ogni risma. Dipendenti inutili per servizi inutili che chiedono mazzette di continuo.
Probabilmente le aree grigie fanno comodo perché aumentano la burocrazia e aumentano le mazzette e i soldi a caso a tutta questa compagine di inutilità che deve essere mantenuta per tenere alto il benessere dei mangiatori di hamburger e bevitori di Coca Cola che han pagato le università e pretendono il posto di lavoro come burocrati parassiti da qualche parte. Negli Stati Uniti questo genere di problemi hanno spesso a che fare anche e soprattutto con la politica: gli americani sono un popolo molto diverso data la dimensione del paese, ogni zona vede le cose in modo diverso e fare leggi chiare su temi tipo il gioco d'azzardo potrebbe provocare una perdita di popolarità, quindi nessuno vuole prendersi la responsabilità. Al contrario, facendo leggi poco chiare e spesso interpretabili, crei quel vuoto normativo che permette un po' a tutti di sguazzarci dentro a piacimento. A me non piacciono le cose fatte in questo modo ma si sa che la politica è un universo diverso dal nostro... |

Then again, its easy to manipulate that rule as well as someone might park bunch of his alt accounts months before contest even starts but at least it might prevent the most obvious voting abuse. As I said before, let's end this contest officially and then we can start talking about these much needed changes because this system clearly doesn't work. I still don't get the point of having a BTCtalk Discord server when we already have the forum, and as you pointed out is very easy to manipulate the results on Discord. I understand this competition is supposed to be fun (and it is) but if we also want to keep a minimum of credibility then we should stick to the forum. I have some ideas about the rules, nothing complicated. |

Chiaro che quando compri le altcoins il rischio che ti facciano un altro -20% c’è tutto A proposito, cosa è successo nel weekend che sono crollate tutte le alt di almeno 15-20%?? Principalmente a causa delle varie notizie/FUD della SEC che ha classificato varie coin/token come securities, Binance US che bloccherà l'uso del dollaro per depositi/prelievi, Robinhood che in seguito a queste notizie ne ha delistate varie (ADA, MATIC e SOL) e sembra che ci sia stato anche un po' di insider trading. Insomma tutte le belle cose che normalmente accadono nei weekend. |
