May i suggest moving the discussions to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1354220.0

Thanks.
I would gladly talk there.

But he just deletes my posts from that thread.

Then he comes in this thread and spreads FUD about anything I write, especially anything positive I write about Byteball, even when I answer other peoples questions - he counters with fear and vagueness, appeal to his authority or attempts to ridicule.

Should be banned from this thread really, he hasnt contributed anything constructive in the past 10 pages.

I hope most people are familiar with his method of concerned or gentle trolling and see right through it.  It is cluttering up the thread though and should be moderated.
I hope so too, anyway Ive done my share of shielding up. Ill stop now.

BTW, have you seen my answer to your question,

What are the major flaws of IOTA?
1. Does not work on IoT devices. Proof-of-Work is CPU and battery expensive on such micro-controllers, but due to their low-power and constrained CPUs, the Proof-of-Work that IoT devices can do is orders of magnitude less than what a normal CPU can do, which makes the PoW even less worth. Due to this problem, the second one follows

2. Has no Sybil prevention. IOTA mechanism of joining the network requires talking to humans to exchange IPs on their Slack-channel. The consensus algorithm is flawed.

3. Has infantile community leaders such as Come-from-Beyond, hostile, threatening and entitled "holier-than-you" attitude to newcomers. Also the Iota leaders have previously been involved in failed altcoin NXT.

Yeah, thanks for your answer.  Seems like IOTA is total garbage and not even worth looking at.  I would have never known if it wasnt for come from aboves gentle, concerned trolling.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Its a very interesting topic right now...wished, it could be explained in the IOTA thread!

Greetz
Steve

Just post them in Iota thread.
I would really copy that, but fear that these legitimate questions will be deleted.

Greetz

That is your first warning sign, never consider investing in crypto projects which launch with self moderated thread.  Underwater bag holding is a strong motivation for people to censor any criticism.

An interesting project:

Quote
SPECTRE, described as a “fast and scalable distributed ledger protocol,” could be the solution to some of Bitcoin's woes. Utilizing a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) similar to ByteBall, SPECTRE, an acronym for “Serialization of Proof-of-work Events: Confirming Transactions via Recursive Elections,” claims to increase the throughput of the network, confirmation times, and be as resilient, if not more so, against 50 percent attacks.

https://btcmanager.com/news/tech/spectre-protocol-dag-structure-to-solve-scalability/

This is cool, more and more projects are beginning to explore DAG.

First, IOTA, then Byteball, and now SPECTRE

Maybe DAG is the bitcoin 2.0 everyone has been talking about Smiley

Is Cryptox being extremely slow for anyone else today? Under DDoS?

It would be so nice to get on another exchange.  First for liquidity, some people will not touch tiny, obscure exchanges and secondly price checker apps dont include obscure exchanges either so its not possible to set up any alerts on ByteBalls price.

Is there anything stopping BB from getting on Bittrex?  I believe their requirements are very easy to meet.

I think only 20% max of premine can be held by the dev to get listed.

Tonych may be able to make them one of the multisig holders that control the rest ..so they perhaps would list it then

You may be able to get them to go for that.

They just delisted a ton of coins so maybe they are looking for their new pascal...

Could maybe even talk polo into it.

Then again do you want them interested right now... they are likely to link their customers BTC up and keep it themselves.

yes, in that case (if u don't return them back) u'll get nothing.

it seems to me that all ur max amount BTC should be at linked BTC address right at the spare-moment (maybe a little earlier).
everything happens until that – doesn't matter.

What about Ripple, that has far more held by Ripple Labs.

I guess they were not so fussy back then.  This is for new listings.

Maybe if someone clues them in that if they link their customers btc up to BB they can be super whales.....that may help.

Then again is it worth it... perhaps just speed up the distributional phase.

This needs to be done then.  Bigger exchanges likely have similar requirements.  If byteball is just listed on one small, obscure exchange for another year or however long it takes to distribute the rest potential growth will really be obstructed.

Tonych any plans to address this limitation?

It would really help to have a full distribution schedule released.
I know he plans to release every full moon going forward, but the % released will vary and
at the going rate will take year(s) to be fully distributed.

Is there a target or time frame to get 50%, 75%, or 100% BB distributed?

Hi,

I see it says on the website: " 0.1 new byte for each 1 byte received in the first round".

So for 10Gb I received I should be getting another 1GB?

What if the bytes were moved (or sold) from the 'original' receiving wallet. do I still get it?
Do we need to keep a balance on byte in the wallet to get it?

Does it automatically send it to the same address linked Dec 25 2016?

Thanks!

-----------------------------

One last thing.  The remaining 1% will be given away to the first 100m users who install Byteball wallet, 100 Kbytes to each user.  This will start 6 months from now or later, after we get ready for that scale.

Any idea how you want to prevent some greedy haxx0r from writing a script that creates thousands of wallets and accumulates these 100KBytes to sell them on an exchange?

You're correct, you will received 1GB from 10GB you hold before the snapshot on February 11.

You won't get anything if you move or sold your bytes, just keep it in your wallet if you want to get those bytes.

You better re-linked the same address by visiting https://byteball.org, click the link to chat with the Transition Bot to make sure it will send to the same address again.

yu say first 100k wallet loader will receive an part of 1% of all bytesball..yu talk of bytesball test or bytesball after beta..how you will distribute them ?

This is about livenet.
There is a long way ahead before we actually start to distribute this 1%, we will probably distribute only to mobile wallets after phone number verification.

You will receive the 0.1 new Bytes for every 1 Byte on any address of yours but for receiving the 0.2111 new Blackbytes, you have to move your complete wallet balance to a certain Byte address! You'll get this address from the transition bot after you've linked a bitcoin address. Don't worry, this Byte address is one of yours, you can check that in the wallets cogwheel settings menu.
