How many rounds of distributions are left after the Febuary round?
until all bytes are distributed. under the current rules – 1-2 years.

Well, I just bought 1BTC worth of Bytes for the long haul because although I don't believe the 'witness' thing is a good idea I see it as a far superior, more distributed and way more scalable version of Ripple. Hope I'm right.

Let's see what will be in the future, so far byteball is superior to other cryptocoins which raised many BTC from ICO.

But since Ripple became corporate banks crap this is never going to happen even though, and I agree on that, this could simply replace the original idea behind ripple when it first started. Yes, this is way better than ripple but hopefully this will never get where Ripple is today. I would dump all of my bytes in the case. No space for corporate crap in my portfolio But I don't think this is the case

Do you guys think it's possible to have a xmr / gbyte market at cryptox? Would really appreciate it! I think it would increase the volume. I'm sick of converting xmr to btc first and then buying byteballs

This might be a good idea. As for the possibility, you should contact grzem, the admin of cryptox about that, it will probably go faster if you contact him directly on Slack.

Could you explain in detail why you do not think Byteball is not a crypto currency? All what I understood so far is that Byteball uses some centralized "mechanisms" to stabilize and/or secure the network. This will be stopped as soon as most coins are distributed and a critical amount of users use Byteball. Is this right so far? However the coin is still designed to be a crypto currency. ... It is designed to be much more than mere "crypto currency".

Could you explain in detail why you do not think Byteball is not a crypto currency? ... ... Byteball is not a true cryptocurrency, but it has great potential. From Byteball Whitepaper: " Reliance on witnesses is what makes Byteball rooted in the real world. At the same time, it makes it highly dependent on human decisions.". The true cryptocurrency doesn't rely on any trust.

do you mean issuing your own private asset like blackbytes or starting a whole new DAG?

If by "centralized 'mechanism'" you mean the fact that tonych control all 12 witnesses I'd say I don't think the mechanism of changing witnesses is somehow deactivate 'till the distribution is over. I think it's in full blow validity and someone who present a very compelling argument to be one of the twelve witnesses could assume the role. Now, tonych may have any number of reasons to be in this role, but one would be: the network had to start securely somewhere, and the other being: no one's showed up yet with the needed reputation and credibility.
