There is really no hardware that has a chance to roi right now, antminer at 1.4 was doable but not anymore.

Depends on your mortgage rate, if it is <=4% i would not pay it off, those are historical lows But if you have a high rate it is worth to pay it off.

You best bet is to invest back into btc given the recent price drop, buy 25%, if it drops another 10%, buy another 25% etc..  i would also put 10% into dogecoin in case this thing takes off, it has a fanatic following other alts do not also its small unit of denomination is an advantage, people are more comfortable/wired to use whole numbers instead of fractions day over day.

I think that KnC is shooting itself in the foot in proverbial sense by posting contradictory info constantly.

Examples:
1. "get some coins ready" Dec14-nothing since then
2. "limited" batch 2 of 1200 units, suddenly-"1000 units-second half of batch 2"
3. "We will take care of our customers" (Kurt on knc forum) with no actual info to share.
4. We will only hash at 5% of customers orders-witness the 1300Th monster grow more. 1300Th is WAY more than 5% (produced ~2000BTC in ~2wks)
5. Nothing in "official KnC channels" about Feb 12 swedish video and local.se followup in english. Nothing about it on Twitter as if it does not exist.

what about others that got fiat refund, were you ripped off also?

KNC are probably skimming 2% to 3% from all refunds which could equate to over a million dollars stolen. thinking that no one will notice.

"The Old Dominion" is a nickname for my original home state before I moved to the west coast, that's it. I'm not really sure why you think what I wrote is something that Bitcoinorama would've wanted to get off his chest, since nothing in there is an attempt to justify KNC's less than optimal communications strategy, which was supposed to be his job near as I could ever tell. I haven't seen anything to change what I said though: this thread is still a lot of speculation being treated as fact, and not very much more.

I still think that as long as KNC ships out a box that produces around 3Th/s in performance, I will be able to run it for as long as I like and then sell it for enough that I'll make a net profit, so I don't have anything to complain about, and I have no idea why people feel compelled to keep banging on about whatever complaint they have based on promises KNC never made. Do they not have anything else to do?  I think the most annoying are the constant statements that "I won't buy anything from KNC again."  Ok, fair enough.  It sounds like you've made your decision, so please go clutter up some other thread so I don't have to wade through 3-5 pages of crap each day to see if there is anything of actual value in here. I ponied up ten grand and change, granted it was all monopoly money since it came from my Jupiter mining, but I do want to pay attention. How did you go about contacting them for a refund? I've emailed them several days ago and received no response. My email asked what information they specifically need to process a refund, giving my order numbers in advance. Previously I'd receive a response within a day or two, but not now.

I'm not really keen on the idea of spending hours dialing their phone number and spending up to hundreds of dollars in phone expense and the time lost - time is money after all.

Why are you posting stuff like "I'm happy and will make a profit". Are you sure BTC will increase 10x and miners will be that rare as they were last autumn ? Are you sure that there's another gold rush hype in the media pushing (miner) prices through the roof ?
