Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

I have yet to do something embarrassing for me to be shameful about being a gambler. I do not borrow money to sustain my vice. I still have our furniture and appliances because I did not sneak them out to be sold just so I can gamble.  I’m not hurting anybody and not embarrassing anyone. I am not ashamed that gambling is one of my sources of income BUT I’m also not announcing it. I know it’s not conventional and not really a decent topic in polite company. So I don’t endorse it but if they do ask then I answer as politely and simple as possible.

No because i only gamble just to make fun but sometimes having a profit is good and i'm not a shame if i always gamble because i gamble my own money and i don't loan just to gamble. Gambling also makes my boredom gone.

Indeed why would we feel shameful when we are spending our own money.  Whether we want to spend our own money to gambling is out of their concern.  As long as we are responsible to our family financial needs and only using the free money and have no negative effect to our family and friend, then there is no reasoun to feel embarrased or shameful.

There are a lot of addicted people that think that they are not addicted and it turns out they are losing money more and more and they are just too blind to see it. What do you think is going to happen when you are addicted? Of course, you would lose money and probably hurt your relationships with others because all you do is gamble. There are a lot of good investments that could benefit you in the long run, not just in gambling.

Gambling is a personal pleasure, we can cover everything without being noticed by others, this is more or less not much different from us playing online games and so on, as long as we can hide it will never be a problem that will arise. True to you sir. I think as long as you dont stoop anything or anybody you shouldnt be ashame. Just be true to yourself. My relatives are gambler like they gamble almost 24 hours, well they find it enjoyable and destressing and they can really manage their emotions. You should be ashamed if you are  gambling while your family is starving to death.

It's always been shameful if we have others money and we are going to use it just for our own interest and that is gambling. You may not that someone is watching you doing such crazy things and in that way you will be ending up being ashamed of yourself. There's no other thing that is shameful for using others pocket money just for gambling.

I dont actually feel shameful when being a gambler for I am not really gambling that much and I just do it for fun, if I profit from it then I am glad I have won but if I dont then it is okay also for me because I know in the first place when I gamble, it is like you have thrown your money away.
