For me, the trust that built in bitcoin makes it the number 1 from now until forever. A lot of altcoins exists but no one exceeds the success the way bitcoin has reached right now. Therefore, I am stick to bitcoin whatever happens and will continue to invest with it and promote bitcoin with all my friends.

No but because it was the first one of its kind and all other who tried competing merely copied it. No one actually tried to enhance the technology or industry or gave it a go on revolutionizing it. So until something comes that will try to do such, bitcoin will remain number 1. |

Bitcoin is the best of all crypto currency and no other coin can replace it because no altcoin can give facilities like bitcoin.Bitcoin has fast and untraceable transaction with low or free fees.Again bitcoin is a good investment area and bitcoin giving us many opportunity to earn money. |

I think it do not depend the name but it depend on the features and the trust on it. It is the first cryptocurrency coming to the internet and then people started to use it and then they knew that it is the most secure currency out of all other coins and so it is still No.1
It is not like that. Following your logic - every pioneer and first attempt of creating something should be the best and everything coming after would be inferior copy. We clearly know that is is not the case: Facebook wasn't original social network and Google wasn't the first internet search engine and they are number 1 services today despite coming late to the table. |

For me the reason why bitcoin is number 1 because bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and no one will stood a chance to win in the fight of bitcoin. The gap of other cryptocurrency in bitcoin is very very far from bitcoin.

At this moment there is no alt then can compete with bitcoin, ETH had a big potnetial but then they made a very big mistake by centralizing it after the hack.
But even then both in adoption and market cap they were a lot behind bitcoinn.

Well, from my perspective, people's trust in bitcoin only takes up a small part of why bitcoin is on the leading position. Because after those time when bitcoin's price plummeted dramatically and stay the same, trust is affected. And I assume that bitcoin is the first child in a bunch of cryptocurrencies, people usually think of bitcoin first and associate it with the term of crypto money. And that leads to bitcoin being the number 1, just my opinion  |

One more thing which you see is that only ETH is the one altcoin which tries to give some competition to bitcoin but its very low in value as compare to bitcoin. Unless we discover any big flaw in bitcoin and block chain technology, we can safely assume bitcoin to be always number 1 in digital currency. |

its hard to defeat bitcoin as the bitcoin is the mother of crypto currency beside that, we know that the price of bitcoin is in the top notch in crypto currency so if its compare with the altcoin, then its not possible to see that altcoin will have a chance to be the first. |

But till now bitcoin is found highly potential as well has reached lot of common people in a short period of around 8years. Continuing with the same growth bitcoin leads the digital currency network. |

At the moment, bitcoin has the infrastructure to be a payment system, the other coins do not have. And that is what makes the other coins just an object of speculation. For the future I don't know if bitcoin will be number one for ever. I can imagine major companies like apple, google, or microsoft to invent a currency of their own. And such a currency would bring the infrastructure to function as a payment system along with it. Hopefully they do not plan on inventing anything like that. I like my bitcoins. |

i think in present time the majority of people who know about digital currency are using bitcoin. and the number of bitcoin users are increasing more that any other crypto currency of the world therefore bitcoin is the number one currency and will continue as number one currency of the world. |

Lol, I don't think the name really made it No. #1. It's like saying Coca Cola is one of the top drinks in the world because of its name, which is false. The quality, the taste matters. It gets you addicted to it which makes it be the leader. In our case, Bitcoin is the best first of all because it's been the first one around. Here a good example is deciding between a real iPhone 7 and a replica which is under half of its price. Which would you feel safer to buy? Of course, the original one. You know the support never ends and you know the company is real. Bitcoin is like the mother of all the other coins. Some altcoins may grow, like Monero, but I don't think any cryptocurrency will ever get past BTC unless it fails.. which probably would lead to a domino of failure to all the Cryptocurrencies currently existing.

If Bitcoin did not have all these other companies accepting it as a currency and all the users it does right now, chances are it would have been replaced by something by now.
