Bitcoin will always No.1 because it is the pioneer of all crytocurrency. Most coins are cloned from its platform and bitcoin has many supporter based. It is already becoming popular and it is even accepted as payment option in other countries like Philippines,Japan etc.

Bitcoin is number 1 due to bitcoin is the first born crypto currency and the other cryptocurrency was their clone..
Also the price is too different in the other crypto because of many people are using bitcoin and many people are mining bitcoin.. unlike 2015 before when i was start using bitcoin and collecting it i do not see sites that accepting bitcoin. but now more sites that i can seen accepting bitcoin..

I think it all depends on public confidence and the features of bitcoin. bitcoin proven to gain public confidence because it holds the highest number of market cap. and halving every 4 years makes the price go up so attract the attention of investors. |

That just might be. But the fact is bitcoin still being number one cryptocurrencies. I think it all depends on public confidence and the features of bitcoin. bitcoin proven to gain public confidence because it holds the highest number of market cap. and halving every 4 years makes the price go up so attract the attention of investors. Yeah and don't forget due to the reasons you said, bitcoin is like the US dollar, like a reserve currency. Everything we do is based in units of bitcoin. Even if you have 1 ether, you would say "how much is that worth", and the answer would be in btc. |

I think there are still opportunities for other coins replace bitcoin, it's been a lot of complaints about the bitcoin says is not satisfied with the performance of the bitcoin. some of these are very much that the confirmation process became long.

I actually don't think Bitcoin will always be the number one. Sure, it has been since 2009, but its limitations will probably be its doom. So, I do believe that someday another coin with improved features might take its place!

It's because Bitcoin has many benefits. It is very useful for others because of easy to hold, portable, and much more. Not only the name but the different features of Bitcoin. It widely adopts by the other countries and population. They treat this as a part of their currency in their country. In my opinion, our currency like paper money and coins today will be futile in the near future because of the Bitcoin.

I think that you're right the name Bitcoin is perfect. The name Bitcoin explains what it is. As above quote Bitcoin is not perfect just because of its name. As of now in a short with the potential it grew higher and became popular. When popularity increased the name too gave a support, not just because of the name its good. The technology keeps it in the lead, even now if menero or some other currency grew potentially soon people will say that monero is a perfect name for altcoin and it grew because of the name. |

I think that you're right the name Bitcoin is perfect. The name Bitcoin explains what it is. Because bit stands for a computer unit and coin stands for money. I think it is proven that Bitcoin is the first Cryptocurrency that is why it has the first one to get that name, and I think in all Cryptocurrency out there when you say bitcoin it also represent the other alt coins Because it is the Mother of all of it and it is the most popular one out there that is why Bitcoin really is number 1! |

Being created as 1st does really have an advantage and impact since its been first used by people and they got used to it thats why in the situation of bitcoin hes placed on the top but possibilities of getting replaced is there but i think it would take long time for someone to create will surpass bitcoin. |

Belief is the most key-aspect here. Even if you could have a better, more advanced and generally just more functional cryptocurrency, if you have people willing to crowd over your thing, you'll always remain relevant. Sort of like Apple, now while their product lines aren't the best spec'd, they have a large following and remain relevant to even non-hardcore fans because of said fans and whatever campaigns made to gather up new consumers / fans. They don't have to wildly go out of this world and make the best product to sell, they just need to appeal really well to their eco-system - in terms of bitcoin just some slight updates, the people mostly do the work here as new business ideas revolve around the willingness to use bitcoin - and ride on that lightning to snowball and get more and more willing players.
