The digital currency that existed during the days of bitcoin is not yet known to users. This high use and the uniqueness makes it stand strong at the first place.

Yes. Has really is the basic coin. But time does not stand still and it is likely that soon some other coin, which would take over first place. The same PascalCoin, about which everyone is talking now may well become such a coin. This is a fundamentally new approach to the crypt. And therefore new opportunities.

I don't think that any other crypto-coin will take the first place, bitcoin is the first and the big and strong one. Its like no other metal took gold from first place. About Pascalcoin, sorry is only another altcoin, nothing more.

Maybe you're right. Just now many discuss the uniqueness of Pascalcoin and even say that this is a new breakthrough in the world of the Crypto. That is why there is an assumption that once (though not soon), it can take the Championship. Although perhaps these discussions are designed to increase the price of this coin and only in the short term.

I think you are right. Before other cryptocurrencies, I heard about bitcoin ant then, I started to search for it. While searching what is a bitcoin, the purpose of it, the use of it, I learned that there are other cryptocurrencies. This is because of popularity and also relatively big community of bitcoin.

But for a new currency to get traction, it would somehow have to have some kind of unusual advantage over Bitcoin. Maybe a government would outlaw Bitcoin but explicitly commit to not outlawing the new currency. Or maybe there could be some kind of deep flaw discovered in the Bitcoin protocol, and it would be easier for everyone to switch to another, thoroughly tested currency than to fix Bitcoin. Or a new currency could come along with much better properties that for fundamental reasons couldn't be retrofitted into Bitcoin, and that could motivate a switch.

Regarding the name, in fact, so far I don't know a currency with a better name. However, what drives users to adopt the currency is the fact that people have found a way to make their lives easier using Bitcoin, whether by using the currency to make payments or to store value. And now that you mentioned zcash, I remember that the currency did actually hit records last year in terms of price increase, but it also broke records in terms of devaluation, and that caused a lot of people to lose money.

Governments aren't that far behind to just prohibit the use of Bitcoin while other crypto currencies aren't subject to the same law. If governments at some point explicitly prohibit the use of Bitcoin, then they will prohibit crypto in general where all coins will be subject to this law. Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense. That being said, there is nothing that can't be fixed if needed. However, reaching consensus in this case might as well turn out to be a problem since it might even push us closer to alternative sides as XT or Unlimited. They wouldn't mind seeing Core go down as one of them will come out as clear winner.
