Is because the name "Bitcoin" is the best name for a crypto-currency.
No other name will be as good.
maybe because it has a good name. for me the biggest factor that bitcoin will always be number one because. it is the one who makes a loud noise in the world of online crypto currency. im not sure if it is the first but it is the noisest. many people now uses online currencies. but the majority of it uses bitcoin even if there are also alt coins. |

maybe because it has a good name. for me the biggest factor that bitcoin will always be number one because. it is the one who makes a loud noise in the world of online crypto currency. im not sure if it is the first but it is the noisest. many people now uses online currencies. but the majority of it uses bitcoin even if there are also alt coins. I am sure that this is not about the name, but it's a matter of quality. bitcoin has the best quality among all the coins for the moment, and I am sure that this will persist until bitcoin has a very high price. besides, bitcoin is also recognized by almost all countries, but not with altcoin. |

the name bitcoin is perfect name for a crypto-currency and luckily its the first coin which reserved this name and also the first crypto currency in the market , people can easily describe it as a technological money or technology related currency no matter what people know but any noob can not understand bitcoin until he really tries to understand it while spending some time with it.

the name "bitcoin" is just icing on the cake. it is not the main reason for bitcoin's success. there are altcoins with good names too but you never see them succeeding at anything!
there was all those good features in bitcoin first and then price came in and name of it helped.

The newer ones who claim to have something better than Bitcoins always fail against it, and the reason behind it is that they are mostly copies and duplicates can't have original's qualities, and Bitcoin has been established since years, failed and revived many times out of its death.

The newer ones who claim to have something better than Bitcoins always fail against it, and the reason behind it is that they are mostly copies and duplicates can't have original's qualities, and Bitcoin has been established since years, failed and revived many times out of its death.
Not always , especially in technology which thrive so fast A breakthrough can make the new thing become more popular and the older disappear But i believe in bitcoin , it have been set up and designed so unique As op said start from the basic thing like name and also how the digital money system introduced in bitcoin. |

I don't think we can be sure that Bitcoin will always remain #1, but I can say that the reason why it is now #1 is because it's the first working cryptocurrency.
There is a lot of attempts to clone Bitcoin into another altcoin, but that's not the same as Bitcoin. Bitcoin gets its value from the huge number of people who trust that they can be sure that it's a legitimate cryptocurrency and not just a pump and dump coin.

in my opinion, bitcoin is depend with technology, as long as there is any growth with the technology and people follow the technology, bitcoin will always with the technology and in future, technology will be the most important factor in our life. we can see that many people is interested with technology so i think this is why bitcoin will always be #1.

The most appropriate reason was because of the first, for the technology I think etherium monero or better, but because it became the first cryptocurrency bitcoin automatically so the benchmark.

there are lots of topics in this forum similar to this. there are lots of reasons why bitcoin is number one! first is because it is the mother of all cryptocurrencies. bitcoin is the pioneer. next is because it is very convenient to use. you can use it even without identification. then it is now becoming more popular in the whole world therefore you can use it as a medium of exchange.

You are wrong. The name bitcoin itself is a part of the coin and its success is also attributed with the name. The number one cryptocurrency online has made a big name online and that name is bitcoin. You cannot separate the name from its body just as you are separating your name from yourself its like losing an identity. Bitcoin is the name that is accepted and loved by the people you cannot just replace it randomly. |
