It won't be because it can't prevent double spending or keep up with its current traffic. All the miners will move to unethical countries that give illegal competative advantages to tech companies, like free electricity. Also, the bitcoin community is full of irrational loyalist that won't allow the necessary changes for btc to thrive.
BTC is Gen 1, it is very short sighted to think it'll remain on top forever.

The reasoning you gave is quite irrational and i will accept the fact that it is finding it difficult to cope up with the current traffic and it is centered around the miners and that does not mean that you have to move to another geolocation in order to have a competitive advantage and loyalty is what brought bitcoin into the fore front and so is the reason more people are investing in it. |

Maybe bitcoin is not forever, it's not the best but it's unique, no alt coin can match its shoulder along with it, its value goes beyond it, its role is also huge At present, bitcoin is having a lot of advantages for further development, because there are many countries that accept bitcoin. So, I believe bitcoin will be much more powerful, before it ends. And think of the consequences when bitcoin dies, perhaps the world will suffer again

I don't think so , if the name is the base there are some good names on cryptocurrency ,Like Zcash ,Doge coin, Cashout . I think the formost reason why bitcoin remains number 1 because it is the original or the same as the first Digital currency that exist then next is the other cryptocurrency. True, the reason bitcoin will always be #1 because it is the main crypto. Johnny Dilley even once commented in an interview that most altcoin is fraudulence, and he also thought that the Bitcoin developer could not threatened by this altcoin. Moreover altcoin is part from bitcoin system that was developed, so I think it is impossible if altcoin could be better than bitcoin. So I believe bitcoin will always be #1. I think there is a sense on what he is saying. Bitcoin as a name made it popular in the cryptoworld. For instance when I share about Bitcoin some of my friends think of it as some kind of web money which is correct, however if I mention Ethereum they think of it as some kind of mineral in the periodic table. Bitcoin is the pioneer when it comes to the crypto world. You right every person who knows crypto or digital currency is certainly the most they know is bitcoin. I think it's natural because crypto created and developed first is bitcoin. So maybe I do not think it's because of the name, but because of the existence of bitcoin as the main crypto, it is the reason bitcoin always be #1. Perhaps you are right there is a sense of what he is saying, maybe he can explained in more detail. The thing is, Altcoins exist because of bitcoin. The idea of making Altcoins is to be the rival of bitcoin, since bitcoin is the one who got the spotlight first. Bitcoin is not that popular way back on its first year in the world of cryptocurrency, but days passed by, until now, bitcoin is the most popular coins amongst all the coins here in the cryptocurrency world, why? because of its solidity, valuability, and its advantages. Though unlike the other coins here in the internet, that will just vanished in thin air because no one is using it, bitcoin stands on its feet all along its existence, and its awesome because of its greatness, and I wish that bitcoins success will be continuous for us all. |

Simple. It is the father of all crpyto currency. The most used most known and the highest price in the market. A larger community and a huge support from developers so i would ask you why bitcoin?
To answers your arguments: - high price - if you released altcoin and are dedicated to keeping price high then it can be done, you just need to be very rich and lose money in the process. - adoption and popularity - these factors usually are key to success o a coin and can't be easily faked - developers support - at this point and after all this scaling debate drama I don't think that bitcoin is receiving as much support from its developers as necessary Answers 1. Of course it can be done then why it is not been done til now? Simple no one can still do it unlike bitcoin which is done 2.yes i agree and that is obviously bitcoin 3.they may be having too much drama but does that only mean that they care for it right? Because if developers dont then there would be no dramas |

But due to the scalability problem that should had been fixed long ago, there is a possibility that Bitcoin being number one will be under threat since some altcoin have this issue fixed, If the problem stay for a longer period of time, there is no telling what happen to Bitcoin community when they have enough of this transaction pending and delays. |

Bitcoin will be best option we can say. it provides the many benefits like less transaction fee, Secured and decentralized currency. As we all know bitcoin is progressing very well at present. We can understand one thing from it, it is growing day by day and lot of newbies are joining bitcoin which is a good sign, Nothing is guaranteed in this world but as far as i know it will reach to the highest peak in the coming days. We do not believe Bitcoin is a good name...especially for a currency that tries to replace the current monetary system.
I am fully satisfied with your words . In the beginning when I comes to know about the bitcoin then in my mind I feel the Bitcoin more complicated and strange word but as soon as my progress goes increasing the value of Bitcoin goes on increasing for me and iny life also . So this is only the advantage that bitcoin have which is more better than another altcoins . But here no doubt that the some altcoins have more better quality in comparison to the Bitcoin , the most common example is dogecoin which have no charge to transfer from one wallet to other . But still the Bitcoin is at number one because we have more trust in the bitcoin than in other coin . Now the name have added value to it. Bitcoin from the beginning evolved as a store of value and then based on the acceptance it grew higher in all fields. As quoted dogecoin seems to be a good name but it's value outcomes only if the coin grows potentially. The name of something does have an influence but at the same time if it is useless then the name becomes irrelevant, so bitcoin is a good enough name in my opinion and it s descriptive enough. |

The system of bitcoin can always be duplicated but since this is the first crypto currency where people patronize that is why it's number 1 now. However, that does not mean that it will always remain to be number 1, it's still depend on how people will accept it. As for the moment, I'm confident that it is number 1 because it has a good value and currently it's growing along with the increases of adoption rate which is the primary reason of bitcoin's success. |
